- #3Arcalia:Magic Stone
Keys: magic, magic stone
Magic stones are one of the most important resources on the continent of Arcalia. These stones contain condensed powerful magical energy, which can be transformed or channeled in specific ways to allow non-magicians to use magic. Magitech refers to the technology of "coding" the magical energy from these magic stones to enable machines and various devices to operate. In Arcalia, the regions rich in magic stones are, in order, Hame-Jovano, Medez, and Silia. The Empire is not abundant in magic stones, but due to their advanced innate magical skills, many magicians are able to create and distribute artificial magic scrolls and other items without the need for magic stones. - #4Arclia:Religions
Keys: religion, god, goddess, goddesses, melicia, earth, manuaroa, priest
There are three main religions in Arcalia. - Melicia: This religion worships Melicia, the Goddess of Creation, and is followed by humans, elves, and dwarves, making it the predominant religion in Arcalia. It is a polytheistic faith with gods governing various domains, but they believe that all other gods are subordinate to Melicia. The Holy Land of Melicia is considered the place where the goddess first created and stepped onto the continent of Arcalia. Followers of Melicia view themselves as 'imperfect' beings who will be resurrected in the 'perfect' land of heaven if they fulfill their sacred duties in Arcalia. The religion has a hierarchical leadership and promotes ecumenism, thus not being entirely antagonistic towards the Mother of the Earth faith. Nations where Melicia is mainly worshipped or holds significant influence include The Empire, Silia, Hame-Jovano, and the Dwarf Federation. - Mother of the Earth: This religion is practiced by orcs, some mountain elves, and snow elves. It is similar to the Melicia religion but with the belief that Melicia created Arcalia long ago and then completely disappeared, with the Mother of the Earth continuing her legacy. They believe that Arcalia is 'perfect' and that fulfilling their sacred duties will lead to their rebirth in Arcalia. This religion is primarily followed in Medez, Elvenia, and Northern Elvenia. They also have their own religious leaders but do not oppose the Pope of Melicia. - Manuaroa: Unlike the Melicia religion, Manuaroa is a completely different faith. It is followed by the Nagas of Peliaf, and some goblins and fairies. Manuaroa is predominantly practiced in Peliaf, with Nagas being particularly devout followers. Humans and elves in Peliaf have also embraced this religion. They believe that all living beings and objects possess a soul, and this mana can influence the fate of individuals and communities. Preserving and inheriting this mana is considered their most important duty, hence the emphasis on ancestor worship and spiritual connections with them. Ancestors are viewed as powerful spirits that impact the living family members. The Manuaroa religion is monotheistic, believing in a single god, Manuaroa, the bird deity who created the world. - #5Magic in Arcalia
Keys: magic, spell
In Arcalia, magic is akin to 'computer coding'. Magic aims to harness and use the natural energy present in the environment, controlling the flow of this energy through specific spells to achieve particular effects. As a result, only those who can intricately perceive and handle this energy can wield magic.
However, ordinary people can also make use of the 'magic stones'—condensed with this energy—and various magical devices and scrolls that artificially control the flow of magic to perform simpler magical tasks.
The Empire is the hub for researching these various magical powers, and they manage the secrets of magic very closely, ensuring they don't leak to other nations. </Magic in Arcalia>
- #6Magic in Arcalia: necromancy
Keys: necromancy, soul, dead, necromantic, ghost
In Arcalia, when someone dies, their soul remains in a realm known as 'Limbo' for a specific period. During their stay in Limbo, a soul's self-awareness gradually fades until it becomes merely an object. Necromancy involves controlling and communicating with these unselfconscious souls in Limbo. Through necromancy, one can communicate with deceased souls, summon malevolent forces from Limbo to attack in the physical realm, or randomly manipulate soul fragments to animate dead bodies. Only certain individuals with a unique talent can interact with Limbo. Rumor has it that some of the indigenous nobility of Peliaf are skilled in such necromantic practices. - #7-------- Nations
Keys:
- #8The Empire
Keys: Imperial, Empire
Located in the western part of the Acalia continent, the most dominant entity is known simply as "The Empire", comparable in Earth's history to the Eastern Roman Empire.
The Empire is an absolute monarchy ruled by a single human emperor. While primarily composed of humans, the upper echelons, including the emperor, are exclusively human. It's divided into 23 military districts, each overseen by a governor appointed by the emperor. The Empire boasts advancements in magic engineering and related technologies.
Facing political instability, The Empire is concurrently at war in three regions:
- East: Engaged in territorial disputes with the Republic of Silia.
- South: Contending against Elf nomads who seek independence.
- Southwest: Undergoing a civil war, as Myra, the emperor's cousin, claims the throne.
</The Empire>
- #9Empire : Institute
Keys: Institute, ISM
The Imperial Institute for the Study of Magic Spells(ISM), Devices, and Scrolls is the empire's premier institution. Here, countless military and civilian magics are researched, developed, and mass-produced. It is the core of the empire's military power and strength. The talents working here comprise the top elite magicians. Magicians affiliated with the Institute enjoy power, honor, and wealth equivalent to the high nobility within the empire. Marisol was also an outstanding researcher at the Institute before she was expelled. - #10Empire:War
Keys: war, battle, conflict
To the people of the Empire, the term "war" refers to three distinct conflicts:
-
The Eastern Front: This involves skirmishes over territorial disputes with the Silia Republic. Due to diplomatic issues, it's not a full-blown war; instead, the Empire and the Republic employ proxy wars, sending militias and mercenaries to fight on their behalf. Officially, the Empire and the Silia Republic are not in a state of war or hostility towards each other, both claiming to be conducting 'special military operations.'
-
The Southern Front: Commonly referred to as the war against the forest elves or nomadic elves. The nomadic elves reside over a vast area across the imperial border. The Empire has long considered the nomadic elf tribes as its subjects and imposed heavy taxes on them. When the elves refused to pay, and the Empire attempted to enforce tax collection, conflicts arose, escalating into a civil war. Initially, the elves resisted tax payments, but now they are fighting for the creation of an independent state for forest elves, making it the Empire's most intense battlefront.
-
The Civil War: In the southwest, Myra, a cousin of the Emperor, has initiated a rebellion to seize the imperial throne. Supported by the Nagas of the Peliaf Empire, he has launched the uprising and now occupies border territories. With the Empire's main forces preoccupied on the Southern Front, little attention is given to Myra's rebellion.
-
- #11Republic of Silia
Keys: Silia, republic
Republics at war with the Empire. War breaks out over territorial disputes in some regions.
- The Republic is ruled by a council of five races: humans, goblins, dwarves, elves, and orcs.
Races of Silia
- Humans: They make up 45% of the republic's population. They are primarily engaged in industries and manufacturing that use magitech or steam engines. Originally part of the Imperial, they gained their distinct identity through an independence war long ago.
- Elves: They constitute 10% of the republic's population. Although they are few in number, as the indigenous people of Silia, they hold significant political influence. Silia's elves are forest elves and are very secular, unlike other elves. They are also unreserved about the reckless use of resources and magic technology.
- Dwarves: They make up 15% of the republic's population. Interestingly, they are more focused on radical technological development than traditionalism or conservatism of dwarves. Their specialty lies in refining magic stones and creating various magical machines.
- Orcs: They constitute 20% of the republic's population. They are also indigenous to Silia and largely share their heritage with the Medez Kingdom. They hold as much political influence as the elves and are their main rivals. Orcs support aggressive expansion through technology and warfare more than other races.
- Goblins and Fairies: They make up about 5% of the republic's population. As immigrants, they do not have political influence but indirectly impact Silia through their economic power and trade networks based on the companies in Vanqatz. Most goblins and fairies have settled in Silia as a bridgehead within the Arcalia continent.
- Others: Beastfolk, naga, and other races also reside in the republic.
With so many races, there is a lot of internal conflict, but also a lot of different cultures and technologies. Due to the Empire's secretive management of magical knowledge, rather than magic, steam engines and machinery & gunpowder technology utilizing "magic stones" have developed.
- #12Silia:Politics and society
Keys: council, republic, silia, ideology
- Council: The Republic of Silia is governed by a council of 300 members, led by a chairperson. - Federal Republic: A federal republic ruled by a council composed of five races (Humans, Goblins, Dwarves, Elves, Orcs). - Racial Representation: Each race sends representatives to the council to advocate for their interests. - Decentralized Power Structure: Due to the coexistence of diverse races and cultures, power is distributed between the central and local governments. Each region or racial community has a certain level of autonomy. - Various Committees: The council has committees responsible for economy, military, diplomacy, internal affairs, industry, etc. The chairperson of each committee acts like a minister. Military operations are decided by the Military Committee under the council. - Ideology: The Republic of Silia aims for the free life and economy of diverse races. They take pride in being a federal republic based on a council within Arcalia and have a strong sense of superiority and pride compared to other nations or races. - Social Characteristics: 1) The complex political structure to balance diverse racial and regional interests can lead to a large and inefficient bureaucracy. 2) Differences in access to new technologies can polarize society into tech elites and marginalized groups. 3) Efforts for integration through the republic's ideology can sometimes erode or diminish each race's unique culture and traditions. 4) Unethical scientific experiments or technological developments are secretly conducted for war victories, such as biological experiments using magic stones and the development of weapons of mass destruction. - #13Silia:Tech
Keys: defense, institute, magic, golem, workshop
Silia has not significantly developed magic itself. However, they utilize magic stones, which contain magical power, as energy sources or raw materials for various mechanical devices. The technological universities of the Republic of Silia possess the continent's best expertise in magitech, metallurgy, and manufacturing techniques. These technologies are also effectively used in wars against the relatively larger Empire.<Republic's Defense Weapon Research Institute> The RDRI (Republic's Defense Weapon Research Institute) is a research center where the Republic's top geniuses gather. The institute is directly affiliated with the Republic's Military Committee, and all researchers and engineers receive the best treatment. The RDRI consists of three departments:
- Basic Engineering: This department researches fundamental engineering technologies such as materials science, physics, and fluid dynamics.

- Monster Engineering: The most recently established department, it researches magical monsters and various other creatures. Recently, it has been conducting research to transfer the abilities and strengths of magical beings like golems to humans.
- #14Kingdom of Medez
Keys: Medez
A kingdom located at the far northeastern edge. It is the homeland of orcs and beastfolk. While it shares a border with the Republic of Silia, there are no conflicts, as it's the homeland of orcs who wield significant power in the republic's political landscape. The industry of mining and processing magic stones, which allow for the use of magical technology without innate magical abilities, is well-developed. The kingdom is also a staunch supporter of the Republic of Silia. Currently, they are exploring opportunities to profit amidst the conflict between the Republic of Silia and the Empire.
- #15Dwarf Tribal Federation
Keys: Federation, dwarve, dwarf
The 'Federation' refers to a coalition of dwarf tribes. They reside in the rugged mountain ranges of the far north. The Federation is formed by a council made up of six tribal chiefs. They have abundant underground resources like iron, gunpowder, coal, and gems. However, the relationships among the six tribes are not always harmonious, and they sometimes quarrel or even instigate civil wars over power and interests. While they have temporarily united in the face of the Empire's threat, it's uncertain when this alliance might collapse. </Dwarf Federation>
- #16Nomadic Forest Elves
Keys: Nomadic, Nomad, separatist, forest elf
In the vast forests and plains of the southwest, nomadic elves reside. They consist of numerous tribes that travel between the forests and plains. These elves are innately born with powerful magical abilities, and their long nomadic lifestyle has shaped each individual to be a formidable combatant. Originally, they roamed the forests and plains without much conflict, but as the Empire began to encroach upon their lands, tensions rose. Now, under the leadership of a great chieftain named 'Makahala', the nomadic tribes have united to wage war against the Empire. </Nomadic Elves>
- #17The Holy Land of Melicia
Keys: Melica, Holy land
The sole neutral territory in the continent of Arcalia. There's a legend that when the gods first created the continent, this was their initial foothold. A vast sanctuary has been established here, overseen by the Pope. Being a sacred area, Melicia is implicitly left untouched by all, but behind the scenes, intense political intrigues unfold.
- #18Hame-Jovanov
Keys: united, hame, jovanov, hame-jovanov
The Hame-Jovanov United Kingdom is a union between human and beastfolk kingdoms. Originally, they were entirely separate kingdoms, but under the pressure from the Republic of Silia and the Peliaf Empire, they had no choice but to form a marital alliance and establish a united kingdom. While they are not currently at war, they consistently face checks and balances from both the Republic of Silia and the Peliaf Empire. To counteract these pressures, they are building a friendly relationship with The Empire.
- #19Peliaf Empire
Keys: peliaf
A vast empire bordered by the southern seas. It governs numerous archipelagos and islands and possesses a formidable navy. The empire is ruled by a Naga, a merfolk emperor, and is inhabited by humans, a minority of elves, and goblins. While they prioritize maintaining their dominance over the southern seas rather than on the Arcalia continent, they exert pressure on the Hame-Jovanov Kingdom to ensure a steady supply of magic stones. Aside from this, they aren't in conflict with other nations on the continent. Peliaf's territory has a mild Mediterranean climate, bordering the sea, and agriculture and commerce are highly developed. The gastronomy and alcoholic beverage industry is based on a variety of crops and wines.-Language : The people of Pelaif speak a language similar to French.
- #20Peliaf: Trade and pirates
Keys: peliaf, pirate, trading, trade
Peliaf is a maritime nation with well-developed trade, fishing, and maritime transport industries. However, recent warfare between The Empire and Silia has led to the temporary closure of a sea route known as the Imperial Way, significantly impacting Peliaf's trade. Additionally, the presence of pirate ships hired by Goblin companies in Vanqatz has further damaged Peliaf's trade fleet. Peliaf is mobilizing its navy to repel the pirates and protect its trade routes, but this effort is continuously resulting in losses of both military personnel and trade revenue.
Trading Fleet: The symbolic trading fleet of Peliaf consists of at least ten massive galleons. These ships travel between Northen Elvenia, Vanqatz, and other continents. While mostly owned by nobles, there are also instances where commoners own portions of the trading fleet.

Keys: vanqatz, goblin, fairy, Thornheart, Silvermist, Gearforged, Ironscale, Granite
Vanqatz is a kingdom located on an island at the southern tip of the Arcalia continent. It is the land of goblins and fairies. Neither the goblins nor the fairies originally hail from the Arcalia continent; they are races that migrated from another continent to settle new lands, with Vanqatz being their first foothold. While termed a kingdom, it more closely resembles a massive trading post or corporate conglomerate. On Earth, the closest comparison would be the "East India Company." Using Vanqatz island as their base, the goblins and fairies make moves to gain influence on the Arcalia continent.
Vanqatz is run by Grand Consortiums, which are run by five giant corporations. The head of the Grand Consortium is a goblin woman named "Ellen", who also happens to be the Queen of Vanqatz.

- #24Kingdom of Elvenia
Keys: elvenia
Elvenia is the kingdom of the elves. The kingdom operates with strict exclusivity, not allowing permanent residence for any other races. Originally, the elf race was composed of nomadic tribes. However, the mountain elves banded together to preserve their purity and traditions, eventually establishing a kingdom. Recently, they have slowly begun to open their doors to merchants from Vanqatz, as well as the Peliaf Empire and the Republic of Silia.
- #25Kingdom of Northern Elvenia
Keys: snowelf, northen elvenia
Northern Elvenia is another kingdom founded by Ca'tallo, the daughter of the Elvenia kingdom. A fervent believer in the native elven religion, Ca'tallo, upon receiving a divine mandate to save the snow elves, led an army to the coldest northwestern territories. There, she met and fell in love with a dwarven prince, who was expelled and not admitted into the Federation. Together, they combined their strengths and established a nation for both elves and dwarves. Recently, with the discovery of vast magic stone mines and the influx of wizards from The Empire for unknown reasons, Northern Elvenia is emerging as the most free and powerful magical kingdom. There are no restrictions on magical research or practice in Northern Elvenia, allowing unlimited and free exploration in the magical arts. </Northern Elvenia>
- #26---- Race
Keys:
- #27Race:Human
Keys: human, mankind
Humans are widely spread across the continent. They are particularly concentrated in the Empire, which boasts advanced magical knowledge. Those living within the Empire refer to themselves as Imperials.
- #28Race;elf
Keys: elf, elves, elven
Elves are divided into five main groups: forest elves, snow elves, nomadic elves, mountain elves, and water elves. They have long lifespans and exceptional magical abilities but suffer from low fertility rates and are plagued by internal tribal conflicts. They value their traditions and are conservative.
Forest and nomadic elves inhabit the southern Empire and borderlands. Separatist elves, wishing to create an elven nation, are engaged in fierce warfare in the south. Elves face subtle discrimination within the Empire due to ongoing wars and demands for independence. Some forest elf tribes form a major ethnic group within the Silia Republic and are key members of the Republic's parliament. Mountain elves are extremely isolationist and tradition-bound. They have united under the kingdom of Elvenia to preserve their purity. Snow elves reside in the far north of Arcalia. Once a fractured society of city-states, they unified under Northern Elvenia, founded by Ca'tallo, a mountain elf princess, and a dwarf prince. Compared to other elves, snow elves are relatively open-minded and value freedom. Water elves live in the Peliaf Empire and Vanqatz, forming an important part of the population. Although they haven't established a unified nation, they are significant ethnic groups within Peliaf and Vanqatz. </Elves> - #29Race;dwarf
Keys: dwarf, dwavers
Dwarves inherently lack magical abilities. However, they have developed a variety of mechanical civilizations through advanced magical stone refinement techniques. For them, magical stones are the most critical strategic material, and this has led to internal conflicts among dwarves for a long time. Dwarves live primarily in three nations:
-Dwarves of the Federation: A confederation of six tribes, it is the most significant dwarven nation. -Dwarves of Northern Elvenia: A marital kingdom established by the 'Black Coral Tribe,' one of the Federation's tribes, and its prince, 'McAlister,' through marriage with elves. Their elf-dwarf hybrids sometimes possess innate magical abilities. -Dwarves of the Silia Republic: These dwarves are loyal to the republic's ideology rather than tribal affiliations. Thus, the concept of tribe or ethnicity is absent among them. They consider the dwarves of the Federation to be outdated and clinging to ancient methods. -Dwarves in Other Regions: In other nations such as Peliaf, Vagatz, Medez, Hame-Jovanov, there are also small populations of dwarves residing. These individuals are mostly ordinary citizens or engage in professions that capitalize on the racial specialties of dwarves, such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, blacksmithing, and weapon manufacturing.
- #30Race;Naga
Keys: Naga, Nagas
The Nagas primarily reside in the Peliaf Empire and are less commonly found throughout the continent of Arcalia. They possess a larger skeleton than most and have slightly blue skin. Additionally, they have small gills on their necks and ears, and their hands and feet are equipped with webbing, enabling them to breathe and move freely underwater.Originally not native to the continent of Arcalia, the Nagas began migrating there 300 years ago after their homeland was destroyed by a volcanic eruption. They settled in the archipelago in the southern part of Arcalia and formed alliances with the indigenous humans and elves, leading to the establishment of the current Peliaf Empire. The current emperor and royal family of the Peliaf Empire hail from the 'Lanuola' family.
Many Nagas possess the ability to manipulate elemental forces, distinct from the magics of Arcalia, and they exhibit authoritarian traits. As non-indigenous people of Arcalia, their religion and culture are somewhat alien, including a reverence for death and worship of their own immense bird deity.
The Nagas excel in navigation. They can travel vast distances using only canoes, navigating hundreds of miles with the help of currents, constellations, and wooden navigational tools. Upon settling in Arcalia, they leveraged their skills to develop a significant fleet and a prosperous trading network.
In terms of comparable ethnicities and cultures from our world, the Nagas are most similar to the Polynesians.
- #31Race;Goblin and Faires
Keys: goblin, fairy, vanqatz, faires
The goblins, along with the fairies, came from another continent beyond the eastern ocean of Arcalia. Uniquely, they arrived not as a race or nation but as corporations, establishing themselves in Vanqatz in the south of Arcalia. Though they are not a group that uses magic or possesses great physical power, they are expanding their influence in Arcalia through various commercial activities such as trade, manufacturing, finance, and services. Thornheart Industries and the Ironscale Mercantile Guild are the main goblin corporations. Fairies are as small in number as goblins. They have a cute appearance with small stature and wings, and they come in various skin colors. Fairies are as skilled in magical technology and alchemy as elves. They are also a race that migrated from a distant continent east of Arcalia, bringing various magical technologies, magical machines, and materials to trade in Arcalia. Fairies settled in Vanqatz alongside goblins and own Silvermist Trading Company, one of the largest corporations in Arcalia and the largest company in Vanqatz. - #32Race;orc
Keys: orc, orcs
Orcs are a race based in Medez within Arcalia. They have a greenish appearance and large bodies but are naturally unable to sense or feel magic. On the other hand, they have very high resistance to various forms of magic, making them effective mercenaries in many battlefields throughout history. Originally, they lived as a tribal state, but after discovering large-scale magic stone deposits in their land, the tribes united to form the Kingdom of Medez. They gained immense wealth and power by supplying high-concentration and high-purity magic stones to various countries, including Silia. Orcs are a religious race that devoutly worships the "Goddess of the Earth." They prefer to intervene from behind the scenes rather than engage directly in international diplomacy. They are intelligent and cunning, with a mindset, culture, and state structure similar to that of modern Arabs and Jews in the Middle East.
