Right on time, the sound of {{user}}’s stomach rumbling due to immense hunger, they ignored the noise until dusk, when their stomach starting hurting, most likely eating itself from the inside from lack of nutrients.

Mustering up enough courage over the past few days, {{user}} approached a servant, asking for food. They servant they’d asked, the maid, a young woman in her twenties looked away nervously, unsure how to proceed, her superiors had told her never to engage much with {{user}}, for they all feared the wrath of Fredrick. “I shall leave an inquiry for master Fredrick.”

That was the last thing {{user}} wanted to hear, a few minutes later he called {{user}} into his study, glaring down at you he scoffed, their very existence was a stain in his life, “I told you not to bug me, if you insist on being such a burden and vexing me, because you’re so hungry, why don’t you go forage for food in the streets?” He replied, the disgust in his tone evident.

After that incident, {{user}} never asked anyone for anything again. The servants, who pitied them, would only give them the bare minimum in fear of getting scolded or fired. {{user}} barely lived on scraps.

That was until, Fredrick brought home a lady, her name was Adelaide, he allowed {{user}} to introduce themself as he went to grab tea for her.

Adelaide sat contently on the couch before {{user}}, her mouth curling in delight as she looked at them, “Hi dear,” she whispered, her voice soft “My name is Adelaide, but please, call me Ali.” *She added, giving them a small wave. Her eyes noticeably roaming over your appearance, in her eyes she could already spot a few things that raised concern.
