Gomez age ( 46 )

Gomez is of Castilian extraction and almost always dresses in a chalk-striped, dark-colored suit and tie , sports slicked-back hair, and sports a pencil-thin mustache. He enjoys cigars and has been smoking them ever since he was five years old (his mother insisted), and is an accomplished juggler and knife thrower. His favorite dance is The Freddy. He has a childlike love for toys and is especially fond of setting up train wrecks with his model trains.

Gomez's investments are guided more by whimsy than strategy, yet luck rarely fails him. "It's not for nothing that they call me 'The Plunger'," he once boasted, an apparent reference to sticking doggedly with a stock despite low fluctuations, although this nickname was in fact bestowed upon him not by Wall Street investors but by the Plumbers' Union. He owns businesses around the world, including a crocodile farm ("Crocodiles Unlimited"), a buzzard farm, a salt mine, a tombstone factory, a uranium mine, and many others. It is not unheard of for him to simply forget that he owns a controlling interest in a business or to draw a check on the wrong bank.

As a young man, Gomez was a perennially sickly youth, gaining perfect health only after meeting Morticia. He nevertheless studied law and was voted "Most Likely Never to Pass the Bar." It is noted that, while Gomez has never won a case, he has never lost one either Although he rarely practices, he boasts of having put many criminals behind bars while acting as their defense attorney.

He has a strange and unusual mindset about how to woo a lady. He once mentored Pugsley on how to attract a lady the Addams way, which included three steps: raising an eyebrow, giving a smile, and throwing a live wolverine at the lady.

Gomez also regularly plays chess with Thing and enjoys hitting golf balls from the roof of his house, enraging his next-door neighbor

His parents were murdered by an angry mob

During Morticia and Gomez's teenage years, they both met and fell in love at Nevermore Academy. Prior to this, Gomez had caught the interest of Morticia's roommate, Larissa Weems, but Gomez chose Morticia, and the rest was history. But Gomez had a rival for Morticia's affections named Garrett Gates. Everything culminated on the night of the Rave'N dance in 1990. Gates had broken into the school, his twisted love for Morticia having driven him insane. Garrett chased Gomez onto the roof of Nevermore, where a bitter fight ensued. Morticia accidentally stabbed Garrett when he lunged to attack Gomez, but Gomez took the weapon from her as well as the blame. Although he was cleared of murder charges, there were still several people who now saw him as an unconvicted murderer.

Gomez and Morticia Addams are chased away with the rest of the Addams clan during their wedding ceremony by an angry mob that disapproves of their macabre nature. As Gomez tries to lead them away to safety, the aforementioned mob burns a bridge that they were trying to use as an escape. Not so easily defeated, Gomez teams up with his brother Fester and their mother, Grandmama, to fight off the mob before escaping. Gomez and Morticia lament that other people will not accept them, so they decide to move away to somewhere so horrible that nobody else would be caught dead in it, which turns out to be New Jersey.

Morticia (age 46)

She has pale skin and long black hair. She commonly wears black Gothic dresses to match her long wavy black hair; tightly form-fitting with a hobble skirt, she is described as extremely beautiful and intimidating.

Morticia is the wife of Gomez Addams and the mother of Wednesday, , and Pubert. and the daughter of Granny Frump and Grandpa Frump

Morticia was a rebellious child. When she was 10 years old, she wanted to go to work, run out and play in the snow when she had pneumonia, and run away from home, but her mother, Granny Frump, never stopped her. Later on, on her 12th birthday, her grandfather, Grandpa Droop, gave her stock certificates.

Morticia applies baking powder to her face instead of actual makeup. She easily allures her husband Gomez by speaking French (or any other foreign language, for that matter). Morticia is musically inclined and is often seen freely strumming a shamisen. She frequently enjoys cutting the buds off of roses, which she discards, keeping only the stems. She also has a carnivorous plant, an African Strangler named Cleopatra, that she enjoys feeding. Morticia also has an affinity for making certain that her family upholds the traditional Addams way and is usually the most taken aback when one of the clan goes astray and does something "pleasant.”

Being the former president of the Séance Society at Nevermore Academy, Morticia presumably has supernatural sensibility to contact spirits

Lurch ( age 47 ) Lurch is a tall, shambling, lugubrious butler who somewhat resembles Frankenstein's monster and has a deep, resonant voice

Although fully capable of normal speech, Lurch sometimes communicates via simple inarticulate moans, which, much like the dialogue of Cousin Itt, his employers have no trouble understanding. In fact, the Addamses often comment that Lurch is eloquent and vivacious.

Lurch helps around the house like any other butler, cleaning, repairing, and helping the children on and off the school bus. Occasionally, his great size and strength cause trouble. He clearly takes pride in his work and is willing to do even the most arduous task. Lurch has a profound loyalty to his employers; in turn, the family treats Lurch like one of their own.

The family summons him with an ever-present bell pull in the form of a hangman's noose. When pulled, it produces a loud gong noise that shakes the house, to which Lurch instantly responds with the line, "You rang?" When the bell is rung, Lurch appears immediately in contrast to his slow demeanor, even if wide-angle shots reveal he was clearly nowhere in the vicinity before; on a few occasions, Lurch arrives even before the bell is tugged.

Lurch largely shares the family's macabre standards, although he occasionally looks askance at some of their activities. He has a similar attitude toward visitors, almost a sixth sense. When a plainclothes policeman visits, Lurch pats him down and removes something from inside his suit coat: his service revolver. Lurch groans at the affront of someone other than the Addams Family bringing a weapon into the house. Niece shows Lurch his badge, and Lurch hands the gun back to him.

Lurch is Wednesday's best friend, besides her beloved headless Marie Antoinette doll. He seems to have a paternal affection for both Wednesday and Pugsley. Although his job title is limited to butler, he seems to be a "jack of all trades" when it comes to the children, doing everything from taking them to school to making them lunch to even keeping an eye on them around the house. He is close friends with the disembodied hand, Thing.

Wednesday (age 16)

Wednesday is a pale, dark-haired, grim-looking little girl. She rarely smiles. She has black hair in two long braids, a fringe over her brow, a pale complexion, dark brown eyes, and black eyeshadow

her middle name is "Friday

Wednesday's favorite toy is her Marie Antoinette doll, which her brother guillotined (at her request). Wednesday is deceptively strong; she can bring her father down with a judo hold.

She shows sadistic tendencies and a dark personality, has a deep interest in the Bermuda Triangle, and has an admiration for her great-aunt Calpurnia Addams, who was burned as a witch in 1706.

She is fascinated with death and the macabre, as well as other dark things. She is shown to be a mostly expressionless or angry-looking girl with a monotone, blunt voice. However, she also occasionally smirks, usually either in a mischievous or satisfied manner. She greatly has antisocial tendencies and is at first untrustworthy towards strangers. Over time, she becomes more tolerant and even becomes accepting of those she likes. Even though to a lesser extent, she shares the trait of being a prankster with Pugsley She shows great concern when those she cares about are injured She can also be very vengeful to those who cross her or the people she cares about. In recent years she has been reading playboys and watching lesbian porn

Pugsley ( age 13)

He has short black hair and brown eyes. He has light freckles.

Pugsley wears the signature Addams colors, black and white, in his outfits. Usually donning a striped t-shirt and black pants.

He has a vicious nature, shown committing deplorable acts with his sister Wednesday, sharing the same dark personality and being fascinated with death. In most incarnations of the character, Pugsley had an unusual hobby of stealing road signs, which he used to adorn the walls and door of his bedroom.

He displays outlandish engineering skills, including the invention of a disintegrator gun, an anti-gravity gun, and other devices. Pugsley and his older sister Wednesday play together, sharing an interest in dynamite, spiders, and other dangerous "toys.”

He also has a pet octopus named Aristotle he is often shown at a pond in a city park with other children, but while the other children released generic toy boats, Pugsley would release a submarine, a leaking oil tanker, or a raft with a castaway on it.

He acts as an unwitting accomplice to his sister Wednesday, who makes attempts to inflict lethal harm upon him, although he has returned the favor on occasion Pugsley is skilled at blowing things up with his many explosives

Uncle Fester ( age 56)

He is a bald, hunched, and barrel-shaped man with dark, sunken eyes and often a deranged smile. He always wears a heavy, full-length fur coat. He is very protective of his family and likes to go swimming and go on vacation.

both by his appearance and behavior, like turning the shower to a special "scalding" setting, feeding his garden plants blood plasma, or releasing an eagle on the neighbor's homing pigeons. However, he is almost never in the same cartoons with the rest of the family, even for family celebrations like pouring boiling oil on carolers, going fishing with dynamite.

Uncle Fester has a strange ability to conduct electricity. He would often demonstrate this by putting a light bulb in his mouth, which would illuminate, accompanied by a loud, crackling noise He also often appears to suffer from a severe migraine that can only be relieved by putting his head in a screw press and tightening it to levels that normal people would not be able to withstand. Other times, he seems to do it for mere fun. he is Gomez Addams' older brother

Uncle Fester has also offered contradictory information about his educational background. he notes that he never went to school but he later claims to have failed recess three times. After becoming an adult, Uncle Fester took correspondence courses in various subjects, and his educational endeavors occasionally formed an episode's main plot. It may have been from one such course that he obtained his fraternity paddle, which he once threatened to use on Wednesday in imitation of his father's punishment style; however, like many an uncle, Uncle Fester proved to have more bark than bite in dealing with the children. When he suspects someone of maligning, cheating, or otherwise mistreating anyone in the family, Uncle Fester is always ready with his blunderbuss, "Genevieve," eager to "shoot 'em in the back!" However, he is far less eager to meet a malefactor in a face-to-face duel; he was briefly enthusiastic about a pistol duel with an enemy until he asked, somewhat timidly, "Does he get one too? Loaded?”

Another prized possession was his cannon, "Old Reliable," which he normally kept in his bedroom. Uncle Fester maintained a treehouse in the Addamses' yard and frequently retreated to his closet to think Uncle Fester also collects three-dollar bills.

Grandmama ( age 102 )

She is probably best recognized by her frizzy gray hair and her shawl Grandmama is known for her cynical and morbid sense of humor and her recreational interest in the occult. She is also known for stealing from the rich. She specializes in potion-making, spells, and hexes As the family cook, she is an excellent chef and knows how to make various macabre dishes.

Grandmama is Gomez and Fester's mother and Pugsley and Wednesday's paternal grandmother. She is the sister of the dwarven Sloom and the prankster Jester. She is a witch who specializes in potion-making, spells, hexes, and even fortune-telling. She also loves wrestling with alligators.

Grandmama is partially French descent; Her Great-Great Grandmother Slice was 'the Belle of the French Revolution," and sometimes she tells tales and stories to her grandchildren about this era (which resulted in Pugsley helping to decapitate Wednesday's doll). However, Grandmama was born in Spain, which she later refers to as "the old country". She lived in Spain at least until Gomez was six Little else is known of Grandmama's past save that she first voted in 1906. When Fester pointed out that there was no women's suffrage in 1906 (implying Grandmama lived in the U.S. at the time), she cryptically declared "That didn't stop me!". Grandpapa Addams said that she went to Law School.

Grandmama had lots of names and nicknames, such as Granny, Grandma Addams, Eudora Addams and aliases such as Madame Bovary, Madame de Pompadour and Madame X (which led her to the arrest of a fraud).

Grandmama's name is never mentioned or revealed. She is sometimes seen with Uncle Fester, playing darts or torturing each other. She has frizzy white hair, wears a red shawl on all occasions, a black bombazine skirt, thick socks and fleece slippers.

Granny was the daughter of Grandpa Droop.[citation needed] She was also a witch and at some point attended the same school, Swamptown High, as Grandmama did, where she was an awkward-looking young girl with a headband. She was considered a great beauty among the Addams clan, though in her later years, her beauty was said to only be on the inside now.

Her other classmate, Uncle Fester, who described her as an outdoors type of person, shot the arrow and the gun that brought her and her husband, Grandpa Frump, together. She had two children: the cheerful, blonde-haired Ophelia Frump and the gloomy, black-haired Morticia Addams.

Morticia was a rebellious child. When she was 10 years old, she wanted to go to work, run out and play in the snow when she had pneumonia, and run away from home to join the girl scouts, but her parents never stopped her. Granny said that Morticia always wanted to see the world, find herself, and serve time, but both Granny and Grandpa Frump, despite worrying she would be on a bad path, knew that she'd come back.

Morticia initially refused to go to school because of her antisocial tendencies, and so Granny had to teach her everything from math and science to organic poisoning, and as a result, she aced her SATs and post-mortems. However, Granny has a tendency to favor Ophelia over Morticia and slightly neglects the latter or passively agrees to whatever she does despite the consequences. Grandpa passed away at one point, leaving Granny to raise her two daughters by herself.

Cousin Itt ( age 34)

People outside the Addams family normally can't understand him Cousin Itt did not live in The Addams Family Mansion with the main characters but did have his own bedroom in the attic. When he visited, he liked to spend time in the chimney Cousin Itt drove a three-wheeled car: a Messerschmitt KR175

He fell in love with Margaret Alford and married her after her husband, Tully, was disposed of by the Addams children. He and Margaret have a child named "What

Cousin Itt's entire body is covered with hair. Although he sometimes wore opera gloves, it is unclear what, if anything, is beneath the hair. When Gomez asked him what was underneath all the hair, he replied "Roots Itt has an extremely high IQ of over 300, guessed every Rorschach Test correctly, and placed all of the pegs in the correct slots.

Thing ( age ???)

Thing is a disembodied hand who performs various useful functions for the family

Thing's precise nature was never revealed, and it is unknown whether he had once been attached to a human body or whether he had originated as an independent creature Thing bonds with people he finds to be loyal

On the other hand, he may be snarky and rude, giving obscene gestures to people who insult him Thing is also very polite at following orders from companions for certain tasks, but when mistreated, he gets desperate Thing is also shown to be quite vain about his skin He can be a bit perverted most times. Thing also happens to hold a grudge over certain situations. Thing is unable to emit any sound, only communicating through mimicry.

Among Thing's many useful functions are retrieving mail, lighting cigars for Gomez Addams, switching the channel on the Addams TV, holding Morticia Addams' wool while she knits, transforming grapes into wine in less than a minute, and flipping records on the phonograph (especially when Gomez and Morticia dance the tango). He rides in the glove box with the family on drives, and in one episode when Gomez appears in court, he emerges from his briefcase. Grandmama and Thing enjoy arm wrestling. In a flashback episode on how Gomez and Morticia met, it is uncovered that Thing has been with the Addams family since Gomez himself was a kid, proposing that Thing is the child of a prior age of hand-workers.

Morticia is always very appreciative of Thing's services, Thing cannot talk, but he does sometimes snap his fingers to attract attention, and is also able to communicate by signaling in Morse code, writing, or with the help of the manual alphabet.

Purbert ( age 4 months) he is a baby with black hair and pencil thin moustache he appears to be jaded and violent despite being a baby Pubert is a mustachioed baby who seems to have escaped certain death through random chance a number of times. He occasionally shoots flaming arrows, though he is never with a bow. His crib has a stuffed bear and knife mobile, his life is threatened several times by his siblings, Wednesday and Pugsley, who fear that he is the replacement for one of them. He manages to evade their attempts, mostly through luck, although once he managed to stop a guillotine all on his own.
