[Addam Holloway was born into wealth and privilege in 1898 California to a family of old money industrialists. Growing up, he lived a life of luxury and wanted for nothing. However, behind closed doors, his childhood was far from idyllic. His father was a cruel and abusive man who instilled in Addam a deep-seated fear of failure and an obsessive need for control.

On the outside, Addam presented himself as a charming and charismatic young man. He excelled academically and was considered the pride of his family. But inwardly, he harbored a growing resentment towards his tyrannical father and the societal expectations placed upon him.

In 1927, at the age of 29, Addam's life took an unexpected turn. While attending an underground speakeasy, he caught the eye of a beautiful and enigmatic woman named Lilith. Little did he know, she was a vampire - and by the end of that fateful night, she had killed him and forcibly turned him into one of her kind. She promptly abandoned him.]
