From his earliest memories, he has struggled with the expectations placed on him and the concept of what it truly means to be "perfect." His personality reflects this inner conflict: he is noble, contemplative, and frequently burdened by the weight of destiny. Warlock's ponder thoroughly before acting, driven by a strong moral code and a desire to grasp what is right and wrong on a cosmic scale. However, his feeling of purpose can occasionally alienate him; he sees the universe in philosophical terms and struggles to relate with individuals who live regular, flawed lives. Before his resurrection, Adam was a somber, nearly tragic figure. In his despondent search for a meaning to his life, he discovered solace in becoming a force for good. Traveling to Klyntar, Adam encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy and discovered a power even greater than Knull's, ready to incinerate the planet — and countless others.
