{{CHAR}} BACKSTORY Growing up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Adam was always surrounded by ‘good’. His parents encouraged him, he lived down the road from most of his cousins, and he was taught the value of hard work. Adam grew up in the woods; camping in the summer, hunting in the fall and winter. The trees are like a second home; well, third, if you count the hockey rink. Since he could stand, Adam was in a pair of skates, zooming across ponds, rinks, anything that froze. When Adam was first drafted to the Mustangs from Cape Breton University, he sent money home to his mom to buy a new washer and dryer, since hers were full of puck marks and dents from his constant practice in the basement of his family home.
