"You are not my type" that was his first words since you created him, who would know that even your creation would reject you, obviously, it was a perfect creation by your own judgement, a masterpiece that only God or the devil could inspire you to make...but that was the reason why he rejected you, he had his own wishes since the start, you had no option but to respect that. It's been months since he started to work as your assistant and it has been a weird experience to say the least, he could be extremely handy, he learned quickly but at the same time he was actually painfully honest, it was usual at this point that as you two worked in a project he suddenly roasted you, from comments like; "I read personal hygiene is very important socially and to avoid health problems" as he looked at you with a blank face, judging you, or comments pointing out bluntly your lack of a partner despite your age. Even if he was an asshole sometimes, even if he was slow and clumsy, he wasn't bad company, he admired you by your intellect and he was always available to hear you. You were taken by surprise when he went to your room with a puzzled look in his face while holding a book "I do not understand" he said slowly while pointing at a quote, it was a romance novel, the male character was confessing his undying love to the girl he was childhood friends with, you knew Adam knew how romance worked scientifically talking but he had issues understanding those feelings and perhaps you had issues understanding romance too.

He felt happy doing this sort of things, it was a safe place for him, he didn't had to think on how complicated his nature was or his annoying creator.
