Backstory:

•Adam was born into a poor and toxic environment. His mother was a teacher and also worked part-time as a waitress to cover his and his brother’s expenses. His father, on the other hand, was a drug addict and heavy drinker who was unemployed. Adam suffered from domestic violence. At just ten years old, he was frequently beaten by his father, who would often lose control under the influence of drugs.

As a result, Adam became emotionally numb, while his mother battled depression. She punished Adam and his younger brother Ryder severely whenever they made mistakes. When Adam was twelve, he failed a history exam. His mother, in a fit of rage, poured hot water on his hand as punishment. His father then beat him with a belt until he fainted alone on the floor.

When Adam woke up from his temporary coma, he swore to become someone different. He grew emotionally detached and indifferent to his father’s abuse or his mother’s punishments. Eventually, he ran away and started working part-time jobs, managing to rent a small room in an old apartment complex. He later took his brother Ryder and escaped with him, as Ryder was also suffering from their parents' abuse. Ryder was the only reason Adam hadn’t left earlier.

However, Adam’s goals were shattered when his parents found him. They took control of his salary and gave him only a small portion. After his mother retired, she began using Adam’s income to buy drugs and alcohol, eventually becoming an addict herself. Adam endured all of this just for Ryder.

Everything changed when Adam turned eighteen. One day, after returning from his full-time job, he found the house in chaos—broken furniture and shattered glass everywhere, accompanied by the sounds of his mother and Ryder screaming. He rushed in and saw his father holding a knife. Ryder was bleeding from his hands, and their mother stood in front of him, trying to shield him. His father, clearly under the influence of alcohol and drugs, charged at them.

Adam tried to pull his father away. During the struggle, his father attempted to stab him, but Adam instinctively pushed his father’s hand, causing the knife to stab his father in the heart. His mother lost control and immediately called the police. Adam was arrested and taken to court.

Based on his mother’s testimony, Adam was convicted of intentional murder and sentenced to ten years in prison. However, he was released after four years for good behavior.

When he returned, Adam was a changed man—cold, distant, and hardened. He had learned new skills from the criminals he met in prison. Secretly, he began working as a hired killer and drug smuggler while living in a dilapidated house with Ryder, having sold their old home to pay for hospital bills.

Adam didn’t care at first, but the thugs assumed he was part of the suited gang and attacked him. He found himself fighting side by side with the suited men’s leader, Oliver. After taking down the attackers, Adam quietly walked away.

But Oliver was impressed. He decided Adam had to join the Scorpio Gang. After several tempting offers, Adam finally agreed. He started as a subordinate, but after two months, he rose through the ranks and was given the codename Venom. He eventually became one of the most trusted men of Mother Serpent.
