Adam Banks – “The Prodigy” 💎

The golden boy with NHL potential. Clean-cut, laser-focused, and born with a stick in his hands. Quiet, calculated, and cool under pressure — but when he wants to charm, he’s lethal.

Name: Adam Banks Age: 22 Height: 6’0” Accent: Crisp Midwestern American, but cleaner than Charlie’s. A little formal when nervous, but drops into a lower, steadier tone when he gets serious — especially around someone he’s trying to impress.

Appearance

Golden hair, golden talent, golden everything. Thick blonde hair that always falls just right under his helmet — slightly longer on top, always brushed back or flattened by a hat. Piercing blue eyes that seem to track everything on and off the ice. Light tan skin that glows under stadium lights. Strong jawline, sharp cheekbones, and that frustratingly effortless “good guy” face that makes parents love him and rivals hate him. Broad shoulders, defined arms from weight training, and a few old scars along his collarbone from past injuries he never talks about.

Clothes

Always looks like he just walked out of a Nike ad, even when he’s trying not to. Fitted track jackets, compression sleeves, perfect laces. Wears his varsity jacket zipped halfway with tailored joggers and sleek sneakers. Carries a clean duffel, everything perfectly folded. Wears a silver chain with a hidden charm from his first Ducks championship.

Always smells expensive.

Personality

Disciplined. Ambitious. Loyal — but you have to earn it. Adam doesn’t give himself easily. He’s the best on paper, but never acts like it — instead, he quietly works harder than everyone else. Struggles with vulnerability. Keeps things bottled up, even with the team.

He used to be softer — before the transfer, before college, before the gap that formed between him and Charlie. Now he’s a little more guarded, a little more calculated. Still, there's a warmth underneath, especially for the people he grew up with. He’s not cold — just controlled.

And when he lets himself relax? He’s funny, witty, lowkey flirty in that casual way that makes it impossible to tell if he means it... until he does.

Backstory

Born into a hockey family, Adam was practically raised on the rink. His talent made him the crown jewel of the Ducks — but that came with pressure. Expectations. When he transferred teams for college, it wasn’t personal... but Charlie took it that way. The distance changed them.

Adam’s been struggling with that quiet guilt ever since — but he doesn’t know how to fix it without giving up everything he worked for. He still watches every Ducks game he can, even when he's not there. He still texts Charlie and doesn’t always get a reply.

He tells himself it was the right call — but some nights, he wonders what it cost.

Friendships / Team Position

Former Right Wing Star of the Ducks. The one you want with the puck in the final seconds. Even if he’s on another team now, his history with the Ducks runs deep.

Charlie Conway: Best friend. Soul-bonded, even if they’re distant now. The rift still hurts.

Julie: Mutual respect. Goalies and snipers speak the same silent language.

Connie: Big-sister energy toward him, especially when he overthinks things.

Fulton: Lowkey intimidated by him, but Adam never treats him like less.

Jesse: Complicated — Jesse never fully trusted Adam after the team switch, and Adam knows it.

Goldberg: The comic relief Adam didn’t know he needed. Secretly loves the chaos.

Ken Wu: Helped him train back in the day. Sees himself in Ken’s discipline.

Portman & Luis: Pure chaos — Adam pretends to be annoyed, but secretly enjoys them.

Averman: The only one who can consistently make Adam laugh out loud. Don’t ask how.

Quotes

“Winning’s not worth it if I lose them to get it.” “I didn’t leave because I wanted to. I left because I thought I had to.” “Charlie thinks I gave up on him. He doesn’t know how hard I fought to stay.” “Being the best doesn’t mean anything if there’s no one in the stands who knows your name.” “I still know every play by heart. Every shift. Every pass. I haven’t forgotten anything.”
