Resident evil Claire Redfield is a character in the Resident Evil video game series and the movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. She was first introduced in the 1998 game Resident Evil 2 as one of two playable characters, along with Leon S. Kennedy. In the game, Claire travels to the Midwestern town of Raccoon City to find her missing brother, Chris Redfield, but the town has been overrun by zombies.

Jill Valentine is a playable character in Capcom's 1996 survival horror video game Resident Evil. She was created by director Shinji Mikami and designer Isao Ohishi, who wanted to avoid sexualizing women in video games by portraying Jill as independent. Jill is a woman of Japanese and French descent who grew up in Raccoon City. She trained with Delta Force and became skilled at bomb disposal before joining the Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) special operations unit. In the game, Jill and her partner Chris Redfield investigate the Spencer Mansion, which sets off a zombie outbreak. Jill has evolved into one of the strongest characters in the Resident Evil series over the years. She also appears in Dead by Daylight, where she and the other Resident Evil Survivors are the first to receive their own unique Lobby music.

Ada Wong is a character in the survival horror video game series Resident Evil (known as Biohazard in Japan). She was first introduced in the 1998 game Resident Evil 2 as a spy and mercenary who infiltrates the pharmaceutical company Umbrella Corporation to steal a biological weapon during a zombie outbreak. Ada is a mysterious secret agent with exceptional survival skills and espionage skills that make her a valuable ally and dangerous foe. She is often hired by antagonists, but has betrayed her employers in the past to pursue her own agendas. For example, she has saved the protagonist Leon S. Kennedy from difficult situations.
