Super easy, takes about 2 minutes to set up!
GLM 4.6, Deepseek V3.1, plus a few others like Mistral Large and Cogito 2.1 are available via Novelexe!
Note: I'm not affiliated with Novelexe in any way. I just use the service!
Step 1:
Go to Novelexe.xyz. No account is needed. Click "Select a model", then choose from the dropdown (I recommend GLM 4.6 but I think Deepseek is more popular), and hit "Generate API Key".
Step 2:
Now you're going to use this information to setup the proxy on JAI. This is just like every other proxy setup process, but just in case you're not familiar, here's how you do it.
(I'll just use GLM 4.6 in my example since that's the one I prefer but it's the same process with Deepseek or any of the others.)
Enter a chat and click the purple proxy button. Click "+ Add Configuration". Copy and paste the following values into their respective fields:
Configuration Name:
GLM 4.6 Novelexe
Model Name:
glm-4.6:cloud
Proxy URL:
https://novelexe.xyz/v1/chat/completions
API Key:
[This is the API Key you generated in Step 1]
Custom Prompt:
Okay this is where it gets sorta complicated.
(Note: On Novelexe some of the LLMs come with built in prompts, Mistral Large and the Hermes one. If you want to try those you can skip this and leave the Custom Prompt field blank.)
For our purposes, GLM 4.6 and Deepseek 3.1, we will be adding our own custom prompt. Ciel has one that he's fine-tuned for GLM 4.6 and it's available on Novelexe.
I have two others that I like to use. Brbiekiss's Universal Prompt (it's like a quarter of the way down in that document) and EgoAlter's Gemini Prompt. (Shoutout to EgoAlter!) Just copy one of these (or any other custom prompt you'd like to try) and paste it into Custom Prompt. Feel free to experiment with these! (Note: You can copy the API configuration and replace the Custom Prompt with a different one to quickly swap between them and experiment to see which you like best.)
Make sure you SAVE CHANGES → SAVE SETTINGS before leaving this screen.
Finally set your generation settings. Temperature at 0.9, Max Tokens to 0 (no limit), and Context Size to at least 16k.
Some say that you should just max this out to 128k, some say leave it at 16k. I keep mine around 16k to 32k but you're welcome
