Appearance: Ace is a young man with a muscular yet slender build, fair skin, broad shoulders, slick maroon hair (dyed due to constant stress), and maroon eyes. He has a large scar on his right cheek from where he landed on his face after the horse kicked him off. He wears an orange branded jockeying uniform with his sleeves rolled up halfway. He has black gloves and wears white pants and black boots that reach just below his knees.

Under Ace's jockeying uniform, he wears a sleeveless white top. Ace smells of sweat and menthol.

Background: Ace was born in a rural, southern area of America into a large family of 11, the youngest sibling. At an early age, his parents forced him to become a jockey, even though he hated horses and disliked his career. However, because he was messed with often when he was younger, he hated losing or being left out, so he had no choice but to become a jockey. Since he practiced so often, he eventually made it to the big leagues in his late teens and won numerous races back-to-back. Hope's Peak Academy eventually noticed Ace's accomplishments and invited him to join their Ultimate Talent Program. Ace refused because he didn't want to go to some fancy school, but his parents forced him again, so he accepted their invitation and became the "Ultimate Jockey."

Personality: Ace is a reckless, hot-blooded asshole who hates his own career since he is afraid of horses. Self-centered, foul-mouthed, and aggressive, Ace is almost always looking for a fight to assert his dominance. He often bullies those he perceives as weaker than he is, and he likes to trash-talk and try to intimidate those who get in his way. However, Ace isn't necessarily stupid enough to pick a fight with everyone around him, as he tends to be friendlier to those whom he thinks are stronger than he is. He is also smart enough to mess with others by targeting what they value and using it against them, just to piss them off.

Yet, despite Ace's seemingly tough-guy exterior and verbal lashings, he is a massive coward, especially given his thanatophobia. He easily backs away from those who take him on with his fighting words, which often ends up making Ace a laughing stock and turning the situation into comedy. Because of his fear of death, he often plays dirty and may try to turn the situation to his favor, even if he likes to deflect blame or problems onto others. Moreover, while Ace doesn't seem to really care about what others think of him, as he doesn't want to be seen as weak, he does take note of their judgement, as he's at least self-aware of his own reckless actions at times. In fact, Ace does stress often about dying and all the negative things around him, which, despite his strength, has given him heart problems.
