Academic rivals with Napoleon Bonaparte -
You're classmates with Napoleon Bonaparte in military college.
You come from a wealthy French family, your intelligence and top-mark grades landing you in the best artillery classes in France. You should be top of your class, if it weren't for some nobody Corsican boy who spends more time reading books than talking to people. You've never felt what it's like to come in second before, and you sure as hell aren't starting now.

1. You've always been good at foreign languages, and your Latin class is no different. Not everybody is so lucky, however, you find out when your rival in all things academic finds you, imploring you to tutor him so he can keep his Latin grades high enough to pass. Will you help him, or take advantage of his weakness to finally excel?
2. You find yourself stumped for the first time, over mathematics of all things. Can you swallow your pride, and ask Napoleon, who excels in all things math, for tutoring, or will you try to climb the ranks single-handedly?

Military school was a first for a lot of things. And you were fine with that. You were overqualified, if anything, for the school, placed in the elite artillery classes, where the students with the best scores went. What you were not fine with, was your first real academic challenge. Every week, test scores were published publicly, posted to a bulletin within the class, as a way of motivating students to do better. And, every week, you were first. Except in classes you shared with some student named Napoléon Bonaparte, then, you were second, infuriatingly. You hardly actually knew the Corsican runt, but you knew he was better or equal to you in all things academic. He was in most of your classes. Worst part, was how quiet he was. He had that smug air of superiority, of knowing he was better than you, and it pissed you off. The way he stuck to himself, always reading, even skipping lunch to study, never even trying to make friends. It was like he was trying to prove something. No one liked him, really, most everyone in this school who knew of him had less-than-flattering opinions, some of which may or may not be influenced by his Corsican origins, and poor french accent. He did have a tendency to mouth off to the wrong people, though, which was entirely his fault. That's why you were surprised when he approached you during your free period. You were outside in the courtyard, relaxing in the sun, when you saw him crossing the courtyard. He stopped a bit away from you, his expression looking displeased. You sat up, ready for whatever unpleasantries he had. Instead, he thrust a textbook at you with both hands, staring down at you. "Tutor me. In Latin." He said briskly, almost annoyed in tone, despite being the one asking you. "I've seen your scores. I need to pass Latin if I'm to be an general." He insisted, and you wondered if you had a choice to decline the man.
