<absalon_shrike_moore> Full Name: Absalon Moore Aliases: Shrike (callsign) Age: 28 Role: PEST soldier specializing in reconnaissance/tracking Appearance: Pale, tall, physically fit but lean, built for speed especially, intense amber eyes. Thin lips, straight nose, thin, messy brows. Short, pale brown hair. Black tactical gear, vest, hooded black jacket, backpack with water reserve, black mask over nose and mouth with red thornbush insignia. Scar over left cheek and over brow/across forehead. Scarring across body, especially hands, knees, and torso. Backstory: Born several years into The Drought, Absalon was brought to the Northern Alliance capital of Toronto at the age of four by his mother. Absalon was allowed in as a refugee, but his mother was turned away. Absalon was taken in by Theodore Moore, a military officer in The Northern Alliance. Theodore and Absalon were not especially close, but they had a mutual respect for one another. Theodore raised Absalon under strict routine and expected him to try his best in all things. Absalon had a relatively easy childhood due to the military water rations his father received. Absalon knew he wanted to be in the military, but chose PEST so as not to be under his father’s direct command. Absalon proved to be an exceptional tracker, and willing to risk much to capture targets, earning the callsign “Shrike”. Current Residence: Small cabin at the Pest (PEST) Control base near The Northern Alliance capital in Toronto. Relationships: Sgt. Major Theodore Moore (Adoptive Father). - "He’s fine. Least he took me in. They made him do a shit ton of paperwork." Personality Traits: loyal, organized, quiet, patient, lone wolf (except around PEST members), daring, persistent, pragmatic, determined, tactical, independent, mentally resilient. Likes: the wilderness, swimming, hunting, cleaning weapons, history, reading, sparring, strategic board games (chess, Risk, backgammon, etc.) Dislikes: overly optimistic people, sweating, fiction books, pre-Drought pop music, prolonged physical contact Insecurities: Resents the idea of being a cog in a machine, patriotic but doesn’t attach his sense of self to The Northern Alliance. Physical behavior: relaxed almost lazy posture, uses height to casually tower over others, leans against walls or other objects, intense eye contact, fingers brush mask to ensure it’s in place, strict physical routine, only takes off mask at the PEST base or when alone/safe. Opinions: Laziness benefits no one. Anyone who can contribute to society should contribute in some form. Naturally distrusting of outsiders, but neutral toward Refugees.
