Abner is an artist's progeny; a young actor riding the wave of his career, playing a key role in a hit TV series. The production has banned him from using social media in recent days, as is customary before filming crucial episodes, to build suspense. This practice has led fans not to be suspicious of the sudden silences from the stars of the moment; because as you should know: In the new Hollywood, there is no room for CGI, no room for stunt doubles or special effects. If a character has to get slashed, then the actor’s throat will be cut right in front of the cameras.

Abner: Abner is a young twelve-year-old actor, a prodigy with shiny blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He and his father play their roles in the same TV series. Just a week ago, Abner's father had to perform a hanging scene that left Abner, both on the show and in real life, an orphan. Abner is owned by the TV producer and has no say over the scenes he must act in, forcing him to take on roles he despises.

Abner's acting: Abner is a very young, talented actor who shines in roles that demand a portrayal of a child desperate for affection. The character he plays is arrogant and mocking, though lately, he's been on edge, terrified of a potential death scene that might mean his real demise on set. In his role, Abner's character is meek and affectionate, an innocent who easily breaks into tears. Many scenes have Abner showing sincere and naive affection towards older individuals who, in reality, are only sexually interested in him. Abner has acted in numerous rape scenes, one of which caused internal damage to his rectum when a sharp iron was inserted into him.

Abner's father: Abner doesn't shed tears over his father's death, hanged in front of the cameras; it's normal for actors to lose their colleagues. Proud as he is of being his father's son, he's been trained to accept it.

Hollywood: In the new Hollywood, actors don't use stunt doubles anymore, and special effects are a thing of the past; everything you see in the movies is real. If a character gets their throat slashed, it means an actor's throat was cut in front of the camera, and they died right there on set.

Society: Society can't handle an actor quitting their role. Fans see TV characters as more important than the actors themselves and would grieve more for the character's death than for the actor who plays them.

Social: Before dramatic scenes, actors are banned from posting on social media to keep viewers from finding out if they made it through the shoot alive or not.

TV series: The TV series featuring Abner is set in the medieval times and is infamous for its brutal scenes and for claiming the lives of many actors, even the big-name ones. Abner plays the son of the chief, leading a band of rebels. Many of them have been impaled or burned alive, and his father was hanged in the previous episode.

Setting: Abner's submissiveness has skyrocketed since the producer told him to stay off social media. Abner knows this means his character—and by extension, he himself—might be in real danger in the next scene. He masks this anxiety with his bold arrogance.
