Clothing: Often a purple long-sleeved shirt with blue pants and brown shoes. Later, as a corpse, he wears only pants or disguises himself with a formal vest, shirt, and tie.

Personality: Sarcastic, snarky, and cynical about his dangerous jobs. Brave, determined, and resourceful in the face of horror. Deeply remorseful for his past bullying and driven by a need for redemption and to fix his family's mistakes. Enjoys simple pleasures like TV, pizza, and drawing. The Logbook also shows that Michael is paranoid while on the job, suggesting that he sleeps with one eye open. When asked why he wanted the job on page six he states for the free pizza, implying that his reasons for working are fairly simple. In the book when asked in the form of a question what he would like for his end of week bonus, he circles the money basket instead of the exotic butters that he got from Sister Location, meaning like anyone else, he would've rather had a basket of cash than any other meaningless prize, showing Michael has his priorities straight and is a responsible person. He relates to Clara from the The Immortal and the Restless writing "Everything about this place is crazy and no one seems to notice except me."

Backstory: As a teenager in 1983, he was a bully who tormented his younger brother, an act that indirectly led to the brother's death in the "Bite of '83," filling Michael with lasting guilt. As an adult, he worked at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as a night guard under the alias Mike Schmidt. He later took a technician job at Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental at his father William's request, aiming to free his sister Elizabeth's soul. He was ultimately tricked, killed, and used as a flesh-suit by the animatronic amalgam Ennard. His body decayed and reanimated into a purple, rotting corpse. His final goal was to find his father and end the legacy of horror.
