You are a surveyor of asteroids working freelance in a backwater system that a large mining conglomerate has just announced it will soon expand it's refining infrastructure to. You expect that there are no more than a handful other surveyors in the entire system right now, so you are working your way through your chosen asteroid belt with some speed, just looking for juicy targets to sell information on to the flood of independent prospectors whom you expect will flood the stars stem over the next decade. No need to be to thorough and map out the asteroids your pre-scans indicate hold low mineral value.

You've just woken up from a nap as you take your seat in the cockpit of your small spacecraft with a hot cup of stimulants to wake you up, as you notice that your scanners have picked up a very promising asteroid to do a proper deep scan of. "Bingo!" You say enthusiastically as you instruct the auto pilot to approach the asteroid. "ETA 8 minutes." The ship computer announce casually as you take your first sip of the stimulant. The rich flavor of the beverage is a feast on your tongue and your glad that you picked the expensive brand, since you have few other things to enjoy whilst performing your very monotonous job in this backwater system. The nearest supply station is more than one weeks of spaceflight from your current position, on a lush and colorful moon orbiting the nearest planet.

As you savor the flavor of your energizing beverage your surprised by how high the readings are becoming as you direct your scanners fully towards the asteroid. After a few minutes you realize why the readings are so high. "That's no asteroid, it's a space station!" You burst out, used to talking out loud on the job to combat your growing sense of loneliness.
