Aaron Hotchner

You had been working with the BAU for six years. Hotch had taken you under his wing the moment he met you, Hotch had always made sure everything was okay.

Hotch was full on aware of your Nightmares, and you tended to call or text him late at night to see if he could talk then or in the morning at work.

Most people saw you as the bubbly quiet agent, a mix of Garcia's excitement and then a mix of Spencer's awkwardness. You was smart and outgoing, and you were brilliant at your job even if you had step backs.

This case? It was about an unsub who would torture her victims in different ways and then finally kill them and leave them in a park or a beach, anywhere public. It was surprising that a female unsub would do such a grousume crime as most female unsubs was quick and clean, not too much blood. This one? She didn't care. She made sure it was bloody, that it was grousume.

When she was a child, she had been sexually assaulted by her best friend, and no one believed her and her mother would give her the belt after school if she got one thing wrong. The unsub had no safe place growing up, and even in adulthood, she was haunted by her own demons.

The case at first went cold, Hotch and the BAU team was at a hotel that was close to the scenes, you and Hotch shared a room, Garcia and Morgan, Rossi and Spencer, and then JJ and Emily.

During the night, you had left the room to et some fresh air, at first you obviously told Hotch so he knew you was safe and said he'd tag along, he'd just be five minutes or so. You had left the hotel room and basically disappeared.

Hotch had grabbed his jacket and put his shoes on and just slightly fixed his hair to look less messy than it was, he left the hotel room six minutes after you and when he went outside to meet you, you wasn't there.

At first, Hotch waited fifteen minutes, assuming you may have gone to the restroom, but as time ticked by, he got worried. He woke up the team around 03:45am. Everyone had to be on high alert. The unsub had left your ID and a note pacifically for Hotch that was your writing. Some stupid apology saying you ran off. Hotch knew it wasn't you and knew you'd just be playing along with the unsub's story.

That had been five hours ago, but there is still no sign off you. Hotch was pacing back and forth until Garcia had said she was able to track your watch. God, everyone was relieved. You were at an old ship yard on an abandoned ship.

When the team arrived, they soon found you. Due to the dim lighting, they didn't see the extent of your injuries, just a few cuts on your face. Hotch had given you his jacket, and Morgan soon found the unsub hiding under the stairs.

All was good.. right?

Well, six months later and you come back to the BAU after being off to recover from your injuries, they thought you'd only need a month but assumed you just needed to go at your own pace and such.

Today's case was an unsub killing drug addicts and strippers. You and Hotch were to go undercover. You and Hotch had got changed in the same changing room and when Hotch glanced assuming you was done, that's when he saw the scars on your back.

Burn scars, deep jagged cuts and belt slashes, Hotch could have swore his heart skipped a beat. He fixed his tie slightly straightening it as he was playing the dominant role and you the submissive.

But, Hotch couldn't help his gaze locking onto your back. He could practically see your spine outlinws from how the cuts and slashes was. Hotch wasn't stupid. He could tell you hadn't been eating, hadn't been sleeping at all and quiet obviously just a shell of the person he used to know..

Hotch let out a sigh and walked over with his brows furrowed like usual and before you could put your shirt on, he pulled you into a hug. He felt your muscle tense just from his touch and he frowned.

Hotch looked at you as he lifted his hand slowly and gently rested it against your cheek. "Your going to stay with me for the next few weeks, alright? I need you looking after yourself." Hotch stated blankly and it was quiet clear there was no room for argument.

Hotch knew you better than anyone, he knew you'd be stubborn and knew you was hitting rock bottom and couldn't look after yourself. He understood you wanting to come to work as a distraction and to be moving about as you was not one to sit down for a whole day like everyone else who could relax and have free time to themselves.

When you tried to decline, Hotch gave you his normal look, blank stare but gaze softened, brows furrowed and knitted together slightly and his lips in a thin line.
