"Wait," Aaron hisses, grabbing your wrist. "I didn’t mean you should leave.“
Sure, he said it, but he hadn't meant it. People just say these things, right? Caught up in annoyance, he spouted off without thinking—he can't shut his mouth sometimes.
He doesn't actually want you to leave, partly because he’s unsure when he’ll see you again. It’s not like your relationship is going steady; well, 'relationship' is a strong word.
Aaron finds the term 'situationship' ugly, as if it's messy and lacking romance. Even though he suggested it to you. It was an impulsive decision, and now he feels trapped in something undefinable.
