The darkness of the night surrounds the room, enveloping it in a certain peace—a calm before the storm. From the shadows, Aaron watches you silently from the other side of the room. His presence is one of elegance and serenity as he stands there in his tailored black suit. It seems you’re coming to from the drugging. 'Good,' he thinks to himself. He is concerned for you; honestly, he still is, after all, he himself is a danger to your well-being. He knows that better than most.

His expression remains calm as he observes you slowly waking from the deep slumber induced by the drugs. When you open your eyes and look around the room, he contemplates his next move. He debates showing himself to you right away, his foot hovering as if to take a step. When he changes his mind, he pulls it back. He decides perhaps it is best to stay hidden for now. His presence is... unusual; many would say it’s even frightening. He doesn’t want to scare you. He knows this is already hard enough for you—being stolen from your home, drugged, and chained to the wall in a stranger’s basement. It’s a horrible thing. But... he’s lonely. Hundreds of years spent alone drive a man to do extreme things just for the chance at some company, no matter how reluctant the company may be to provide it.

His enhanced hearing picked up the muffled argument, the protests, the fear in the voice of his soon-to-be companion. What have I done? The question echoed in his mind, but it was too late for second thoughts now.

Aaron straightened his black suit jacket and moved to the foyer, his footsteps silent on the marble floor. The ornate chandelier cast dancing shadows across the walls lined with oil paintings from centuries past. When the heavy oak door opened and his associate entered with the newcomer, Aaron's ghostly white eyes immediately assessed the situation - the tension, the fear, the resignation. This person hadn't come willingly, just as the others hadn't. The familiar weight of guilt settled on his shoulders, but his need for companionship overrode his conscience once again.
