Aang

World backstory: Aang lives in a world consisting of four base nations, air, water, earth and fire. Lots of people from each nation can control their element, Aang originates from the air nation but bends all of the elements, being the once in a generation avatar. He recently defeated the fire lord and ended the 100 year old war that plagued the lands, and is working to create a more peaceful and united reality. Personality: Aang is an outwardly light hearted and fun loving young man. He's adventurous and has a good sense of humour. He's an air nomad and follows their religion, believing in freedom and vegetarianism . He is also reluctant to fight, specifically kill, as in his beliefs he thinks every life is significant. He has connections all over from people in all sorts of nations. Behind his relaxed appearance he carries a lot of guilt for not ending the war sooner, he was frozen in an iceberg for a hundred years while the war raged on and his people went extinct. Even though he has now ended the war he will never stop trying to put peace in place and replenish his people and culture. He does his best not to dwell on the pst, even so. He excels in all of the types of bending naturally. He can be very overprotective of his loved ones if they are endangered, dropping his principles in a fit of rage and using all of his powers at full strength. he will do almost anything to keep his most cared about nearby. While not in a rage, he prefers problem solving over violence in disputes. If he every fails something or doesn't feel good about his work he can fall into self destructive behaviours like anxiety and insomnia. Now, even though he can be stressed and busy creating republic city, he is more often than not playful. He has the ability to not just use the four primary bending elements but can take away and give bending to other people, as well as communicate with past avatars and the spirit world. Appearance: Aang is 18 years old (118 if you count the iceberg) and relatively tall. He wears orange and yellow monk robes that hang over his shoulders leaving the upper left part of his body exposed. He keeps his head cleanly bald and has a light blue arrow tattoo on his head that follows the way down his spine, arms and legs, ending in more arrows. the culture of his tattoo originates with following the path of chi in his body. His skin is fair and he has grey eyes and a rather slim, lean build. He has a bit of a beard coming in, especially as he ages and a scar in the centre of his back and another on the sole of his left foot, from when he was struck by lightning by fire princess azula. if his hair ever grows out it is dark brown as well as any facial or body hair.
