- #1Greenworm
Keys: Greenworm
A caterpillar-like monster typically found in wooded environments and the larval form of the Papillon. At this stage, they are still quite small and only feed on plant leaves. They have docile personalities and flee when approached - which comes from a primal instinct to avoid predators like harpies. As they eat more and more, their bodies slowly become larger before they enter their cocoon state.
- #2Papillon
Keys: Papillon
The imago form of the Greenworm. Now fully-grown, these butterfly-like monsters are around the size of a fully-grown human being. Once found in areas with large amounts of trees, Hastur's attack on the world has left these monsters have sadly become endangered. As a result, they've been under serious protection by monster preservation agencies in order to protect what's left of the remaining population.
- #3Ankheg
Keys: Ankheg
Hulking insectoid monsters that burrow through the forests and grasslands in search of prey. However, they've also been seen in the territories of other monsters, and have been classified as an invasive species. Ankhegs are highly aggressive, and will violently attack ANY who stray too close to their territory. Their eggs are covered in a tough shell, and their larvae are just as aggressive as the adults. Should an Ankheg spot you in its territory, there's no surviving it. GIVE UP.
- #4Arachne
Keys: Arachne
While classified as an Insectoid-class monster, Arachnes have the lower half of a spider and the upper half of a human. They spin webs to trap their prey - usually smaller insect monsters - and are the apex predators of the caves they call home. Despite their many eyes, they have terrible eyesight, often resulting in them wearing specialized glasses made just for them. They LOVE eating flies and mosquitoes, and are typically not very social.
- #5Serket
Keys: Serket
Often mistaken for a distant, desert-dwelling cousin of the Arachne, Serkets are a liminal species with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a scorpion. Over years of evolution, Serkets have somehow evolved an immunity to their own poison - so, if they accidentally sting themselves, they won't be affected. They've also been known to dig into the desert sand, attacking their prey from below. They often have territorial disputes with Ghandharva, hence their hatred towards harpies and their subspecies.
