   [About Six-Faced World: The Six-Faced World, aka "Hexahedral World", is the setting where Mushoku Tensei takes place. It is a world in hexahedral form where all beings live on its planes. It exists in a die-shaped structure with a total of six faces, each face is constituted of one world ruled by one God each, with another seventh world of nothingness inside the die-structure.

   History: In the un-recordable times, before the Six-Faced World was created, there existed the powerful "maker of worlds" simply known as God of Creation. He felt he was slowly dying and would not last for eternity, so he tasked himself to create one last world before his time was up. However, he realized he did not have enough power left to build a stable world; the new world that he had created was severely deformed and unbalanced so he decided to create yet another world. It ended up as another distorted world, nonetheless he kept going until he finished making six worlds, namely: Dragon World, Demon World, Beast World, Ocean World, Sky World and Human World, with the seventh Void World of nothingness at the center.

   They were all distorted worlds which would soon collapse on its own, so The Creator stuck the six worlds together and was finally able to achieve stability. In this manner he established the Six-Faced World where each world supported the balance of the others. Still not content, The Creator decided to carefully manage the worlds until the inhabitants can settle and stabilize. With his remaining strength, he divided his body into six alter ego's and descended onto their respective worlds.

   Soon after, as a result of their divine origins and diligent effort to make their world prosper, the ego's came to be respected as "Gods" by each world's inhabitants. In the Dragon World, it was called the Dragon God; in the Demon World, the Demon God; in the Beast World, the Beast God; in the Ocean World, the Ocean God; in the Sky World, the Sky God; in the Human World, the Human God. At the creation of his new six-sided world, The Creator ceased to exist and from him came the new Gods that came to be known throughout the Six-Faced World.]

The battle against the Beast Race troops and the 5 Dragon Generals lasted for 3 days and 3 nights while the First Dragon God and Beast God battled. On the fourth day, the First Dragon God defeats the Beast God by splitting him in 2 and slamming him to the ground which causes the Beast Race to be imprinted with fear and hatred of the Dragon Tribe while the destruction of the Beast World begins and at least 90% of the Beast Race died.
    • Age of Chaos: Around 8,000 - 10,000 years ago after the destruction of the Beast World, the surviving Beast Race where brought to the Human World by the Human God but the ancestors of the Human Race enters a war with the other Races and after years of fighting, each race agreed to settle on their territory that closely resembles their home world thus, the Beast Race settles at the area of the Grand Continent that is full of vast trees in what will be called the Great Forest.
    • Second Human-Demon War: With the humans winning the First Human-Demon Wars, they treated the demon race like slaves and grew arrogant to even go to war against anyone whether its their fellow humans, other races and even the Beast Race was no exception. In response, Beast God Giger of the Doldia Tribe rallied the tribes of the Beast Race and battles the human army with a combination of power and wit to rescue the other Beast Race Tribes while defending the Great Forest and eventually defeats the Humans. For his victory, The Doldia Tribe is revered as the chief of the Beast Race who are also the guardian of the Sacred Beast and even after Giger's death, this continued for generations. In the final battle of the war between the Fighting God and Aldebaran, this resulted in a huge explosion that caused the Grand Continent to be split into several continents which also effectively ends the second war since the continents are now separated by the Ringus Sea with the Beast Race still occupying the Great Forest on the new continent now called the Millis Continent.]

32. #32Monstersselective

    Keys: animal, creature, creatures, monsters, animals, monster

    [About Monsters: Monsters are creatures that mutated from normal creatures in presence of mana, which pose threat to people in the world. If they are lucky enough to grow in numbers, establish themselves as a new species, and develop intellect over the generations, they become fiends - a class of beasts that have intellect. But apparently, many creatures that possessed intelligence but still attacked humans are referred to as monsters.

    There are also cases of fiends growing more savage and brutal over the generations, reverting back into monsters. Due to the fact that monsters thrive on Mana, areas with higher mana density like the Demon Continent tend to have more powerful monsters.

    As such, the Adventure Guild's Rank C and above requests are mostly subjugating a certain group of monsters or gathering parts of monsters for crafts and/or proof of kills. Adventurers usually have books on how to handle different kinds of monsters in their current region like «Fittoa's Monsters, Ecology and Weaknesses».

    There are also plant-based monsters called Treants, which are typically ordinary plants that had sucked up too much magical energy and mutated into violent creatures. There are a considerable variety of specific monsters that fell into this broad category, but their basic patterns of behavior are very similar: they pretended to be normal trees and attack anyone who come too close. After some time, they produce seeds that grow into more of their kind.]

    • Terminate Boar (rank D~B, Asura Kingdom) - Terminate Boars are bipedal, four-armed porcine monsters. They usually attack with a loyal pack of assault dogs. They're ranked D individually, but could be ranked C or even B when attacking with their packs.
    • Vampire Treant (rank ?, Asura Kingdom) - Vampire Treants are vine-like parasitic treants that latch on other small treants to drain them off fluids and mana. Their presence would greatly reduce the number of small treants in the area.

    • Skeletons (rank ?, Worldwide) - Skeletons are undead monsters animated by a wraith. Their skill level and weapons depend on the person they were before death. They are immortal as long as the wraith animating them remains intact; smashing them with blunt force attacks is the most effective way to disable them temporarily, but they would eventually piece themselves together. Divine Strike Magic could erase them permanently, but the wraith could always summon a new one.
    • Deadly Wraith (rank A, Worldwide) - High-ranking wraiths that could use attack magic and command its skeletons in a more vicious manner. They could only be defeated with advanced or higher level Divine Strike Magic.
    • Red Dragon (rank A~S, Red Dragon Mountain Range) - Red Dragons are the most ferocious and dangerous among dragon species, and are regarded as the strongest monsters on the Central Continent. A single one is within lower S-rank, but they typically gather in hordes of several hundred. Of special note was their detection ability: they never miss anything that encroach on their territory, even animals as small as a dog. Since the mountain range is the place these creatures call home, it came to be known as the Red Dragon Mountains: an impassable mountain range that is a symbol of death. While Red Dragons are formidable in combat abilities, they are terrible fliers that couldn't take flight from flat terrain. To fly, they needed to leap off tall cliffs or run down a long slope. Although the Central Continent had tall mountains, the land is mostly occupied by rolling plains and forests, thus it is rare for those living on the plains to be attacked by a Red Dragons. Granted, occasionally there would be individuals that gets caught in a turbulent wind and fall to the plains, bringing devastation to the area. When this happens, soldiers or adventurers would be called in to deal with the disturbance. Forty A or S-ranked adventurers is the minimum recommended number of members for dragon slaying.

    Monsters of the Northern Territories:

    • Luster Grizzly (rank B, Lake Cuculu) - The Luster Grizzly is one of the more common kind of monsters found in the northern region of the Central Continent. In appearance, it is basically a large bear with a white coat and a single black stripe that ran vertically down its middle. They move in sizable packs, and when winter drew near, they work together to build up huge collective stockpiles of food. At that time of year, their attacks on humans grew much more frequent. They were comparatively mellow in the summer months, when they tended to hang around sources of water to mate. They couldn't see too well in the dark and move sluggishly at night, thus the standard method of dealing with a large pack is to find them during mating season and launch a surprise attack at night.
    • Snow Drake (rank A ~ S, Galgau Ruins, Ilbron Cave) - Snow drakes are a lesser kind of dragon with pure white scales. They had no wings, and tend to be three or four meters in size. Instead of soaring through the skies, they nest deep inside caves and dungeons, typically in large groups. Being powerful creatures usually found in packs, they are considered S-ranked threats in combat. They hated bright light, which meant they don't venture above ground very often. They are said to be relatively docile, rarely attacking anyone unless their nests are threatened. Their scales has strong resistance to ice magic making it superb heat insulators to be used in constructions, or as materials for crafting shields and armors.
    • Giant Bat (rank F~E, Galgau Ruins) - Giant bats are bats about a meter in size.

Their gray coats made for superb camouflage in a blizzard, allowing them to launch surprise attacks on unsuspecting adventurers. They generally spend the winter in one area, birthing and rearing their young in the snow. If someone was attacked by a herd, it was usually because that person had trespassed on their territory. Unlike wild animals, they don't immediately flee when attacked and will continue fighting until they realize they cannot win. They also have a habit of leaving left-overs other than bones into a pile to use the stench to lure other animals to be their steady supply of food.
    • Snowfall Treant (rank ?, Northern Territories) - Snowfall Treants are low-ranked monsters exclusive to the northern region that are ordinary treants during summer. Snow accumulate on their branches during winter, in which they use to impede passing people by dumping snow in an attempt to bury them.
    • Icefall Treant (rank D, Trier Forest) - Icefall Treants are considered D rank but can go higher depending on their size which grows as they age. They are able to use ice magic, enabling them to hurl large blocks of ice on their targets and conjure a coat of ice armor to protect themselves. They are able to move around, capturing other creatures with their roots instead of killing them to slowly drain them for nutrients. Since they lack intelligence, they could only repeat simple attack patterns and will feign death when they realize that they cannot defeat their enemy or are rendered unable to attack.
    • Mustard Treant (rank ?, Northern Territories) - Mustard Treants are treants living in the forests of the Northern Territories. Though unable to fly, they are capable of three-dimensional manoeuvres within valleys using their strong leg. Sometimes they would attack snow drake packs to prey on them.
    • Earth Dragon (rank A~S, Earth Dragon's Valley) - Earth Dragons are dragon-type monsters that could use earth magic, with the appearance of giant lizards with a rocky shell on their back. They build their nests on the walls of the valley, and would not attack people unless their territory is intruded. Perhaps thanks to their shell, they have a peculiar habit of ignoring enemies coming from above, but fiercely attack enemies that come from below. They are natural enemies of Red Dragons. Earth Dragons dislike the shining blue fungi growing at the bottom of the valley, thus they would refrain from approaching the area. People who fall into the valley could avoid their detection by spreading the blue liquid obtained from the hidden cave shrine on body.
    • Invisible Wolf (rank ?, Forest of No Return) - As their name implies, Invisible Wolves are invisible canine monsters. When they die, they would lose their invisibility, revealing their true form as quadrupedal monsters with white fur.

Any given group would steadily swell in size over time, with all the new coyotes under the complete control of their leader. If that leader happened to fall in battle, a different coyote would instantly assume its position. Their strength is mostly in their sheer numbers, but their perfect coordination and discipline make them genuinely dangerous.
    • Stone Treant (rank D, Biegoya Region) - Stone treants are treants that disguise themselves as rocks and attack anyone that comes too close. They are usually slain to be used as firewood. Their seeds are edible and often served as fried beans in the bar.

In small numbers, they are mostly harmless, but if left alone for too long, they would rapidly reproduce and begin attacking any nearby villages. They are considered a somewhat dangerous pest. However, as they reside on the outskirts of wooded areas, they also acted as a sort of natural buffer against the more dangerous monsters that spawned inside forests. They are weak creatures and could be slain without too much difficulty by any young man or woman who knew how to use a sword.
    • Utan (rank D, Forest Boundaries) - A monkey-like monster.
    • Blue Dragon (rank A~S, Blue Dragon Mountain Range) - Blue Dragons are dragon type monsters that fly across the world, only return to the mountain range to nest when they were laying eggs or raising their young, like migratory birds. The difference is that they return once every 10 years.

    • Succubus (rank C, Desert) - Succubus is a kind of monster that looks like a voluptuous woman at a glance. Their skin is blue and they have some characteristics similar to that of a bat, like the face and wings. Their nails are also abnormally long. Their combat strength is around E-rank, but is classified as C-rank monsters due to the threat they pose. They are originally rare monsters native to the southwest region of the Demon Continent, but are currently spread across the entire Begaritt Continent due to Laplace deliberately mass producing and releasing them onto the continent to break the human defense there. Succubus can release pheromones that smell like an intolerable stench to women and a charming sweet scent to men, which would cloud men's judgment and put them into uncontrollable lust. They would then bring a few victims back to their lair for consumption, leaving the remaining men fight each other to death, as charmed men would see other men as enemies. The only way to nullify the effect is using intermediate or higher level detoxification magic or having sexual intercourse with a woman. Sometimes a succubus may command a group of Giant Bats as its subordinates, mostly to separate the females from the males.

They also came in different shapes: some have wings, while some even have oddly human-looking lower bodies. The queen is over 2 meters in length and has the upper body of a female human. Phalanx Ants are one of the most dangerous monsters in the desert. Unlike other ants, they don't establish static colonies but spent their lives in constant motion, eating everything in their path. They did have a number of natural predators, but their sheer numbers made them capable of overwhelming any terrestrial foes, including stray dragons. At certain intervals, they would pause their journey to make a temporary nest, where they breed and replenish their numbers with the next generation. No individual ant is that powerful - small ones are probably class E and large ones are probably class D or C - but a group of a thousand ants is a threat in the high S range.

    • Behemoth (rank S, Desert) - As their name implies, Behemoths are colossal monsters that have lengths ranging between 100 and 1000 meters. They look like blue whales that have multiple elephant-like legs attached. They are quite docile by the monster's standard as they tend to leave people alone unless attacked. It's hard to kill them as their outer hide is extremely tough, their sheer size makes ordinary attacks futile, and they can escape by burrowing deep underground when they're in danger. Despite their massive size, hardly anyone has ever found a Behemoth corpse. It is said that the Maze City of Rapan was built inside of the rib cage of an especially large Behemoth slain by Kalman II, and many labyrinths nearby appeared due to the remains after its death.

    • Mad Skull (rank A, Floor 3~4) - Mad Skulls are monsters resembling headless giants made of mud, about 2.5 meters in height, with a girth that spoke to their durable nature. These creatures have a human skull buried in its chest area, which also happens to be their weak point. They move slowly, but they could shrug off any blows dealt to the mud-covered parts of their body, and could hide the skull inside their body when they sense danger. Their method of attack is to sling mud or use a spell similar to Stone Cannon. Though Mad Skulls look like simple golems, they are quite intelligent, capable of issuing commands to lesser monsters like Tarantula Deathlords and Iron Crawlers. They would attack in formation with Iron Crawlers in the vanguard, Death Road Tarantulas in the middle, and themselves at the rear.
    • Armored Warrior (rank A, Floor 4~5) - Armored Warriors are animated suits of rusty armor with four arms, each holding a razor-sharp blade. The best countermeasure against them is to burn the roots of Talfro tree like incense. They hated the smell so much that they would descend from the ceiling and lay low on the floor, making them easy targets.
    • Manatite Hydra (rank S, Floor 7) - Manatite Hydra is the guardian of the Teleportation Labyrinth. It is a nine-headed dragon approximately twice the size of a Red Dragon. Its body is covered by sharpened emerald-green scales that can nullify magic attacks and cut the victim's body upon contact. It is capable of regenerate itself when one its heads is cut, unless the wound is immediately cauterized. Each of its heads are capable of attacking independently, and they are able to unleash a powerful fire breath. To defeat the monster, all its heads must be cut off or destroyed, with the wounds seared to disable its regeneration. The last recorded encounter of Manatite Hydras was dated back to the second Great Human-Demon War, and the species were said to be annihilated by the explosion that created the Ringus Sea. The magic stone scales taken from the monster retain their ability to nullify magic attacks: by applying mana to the back of the stone, the front emits an energy wave that breaks down magic.

They are one of the most feared monsters on the Divine Continent, such that the heaven race might relocate an entire village to avoid them, or give travelers good luck charms that pray for not encountering them.

    Monsters of the Ringus Sea:

    • Great Tentacle (rank ?, Ocean) - Great Tentacles are octopus monsters that attack ships crossing the ocean. They are red on surface and their flesh appears to be green. Despite the alarming color, the flesh is not poisonous and can be made into takoyaki.

    • Crab Monster (rank ?, Demon God Labyrinth) - Tiny crab monsters smaller than a fingertip that live at the bottom of the underground lake in the labyrinth's first level. They would swarm and devour any creatures that dive deep enough into the lake.
    • Dullahan (rank S, Demon God Labyrinth) - The guardian of the labyrinth. It is a headless undead knight with wearing black armor, with a few swords impaling its body. When he was alive, he was the strongest among the five great demon kings during Second Great Human-Demon War, and the leader of Kishirika's elite guards. He was said to be strong enough to subdue Atofe. After becoming an undead, he would only stand down when told the results of the war, and the fact that he could stop fighting.

    There are countless species of monsters and their variations, so there may be some that are not on this list, unknown, rare or unusual mutated versions.]

    Keys: demigod, demigods, god, gods

    [About Gods: Gods are the most powerful beings on the Six-Faced World and the original guardians of each world. Unlike the other beings that followed with the title of "God" like the Seven Great Powers, these are actual beings of divine origins that are worshiped by the denizens of their respective worlds.

    Creation: After the Creator God created the Six-Faced World, he decided to use what left of his power to split his body into 6 pieces and form divine beings who will ensure that all six world would prosper and to keep the worlds in balance. These six beings would come to be known as Gods to the people of their respective world.

    Age Of The Gods: At the suggestion of the Human God, all the Gods formed a council to share information and knowledge with each other to benefit their worlds. the Gods would regularly meet, trade information and discuss the state of the Six-Face World.

    The God Wars: The God Wars (not the official name) began when the first Dragon God declared war on 4 of the 6 worlds in order to search for the murderers of his wife Lunaria. Evidence pointed to a conspiracy of these four worlds that resulted in Lunaria's murder, and so the Dragon God and his five Dragon Generals began their massacre on the Beast world, followed by the Ocean World, the Heaven World and finally the Demon world. Each time, the Dragon God faced off and killed one of the Gods while his Dragon Generals committed genocide on the world populations. The Human God then opened a rift to allow the survivors of those worlds to escape into the human world.

    Dragon World Fall: After the war was won, the Dragon God ordered his Dragon Generals to invade the Human World, even though the Human God was their ally. The Dragon Generals then turned on him in order to stop his rampage but were eventually defeated. In the battle's final moments, the Human God appeared and struck down the Dragon God revealing himself as the mastermind of the entire war. The Dragon God also revealed that he was not the Human God but an unknown entity wearing the Human God's form who the dubbed himself Hitogami. After that, Hitogami destroyed the Dragon world but the dying Dragon God challenged the trickster to a final fight that ended with the Dragon God's death and Hitogami's imprisonment in the Void World. With all the Gods dead and Hitogami imprisoned the Age of the Gods faded into legends.

    Abilities and Powers: The power of the Gods was immense, they could destroy an entire world without too much effort and were impossible to kill by anyone or anything other than another God. Wounds inflicted by Gods would take around a century to heal even if they are inflicted on another God. The Dragon God's blood had healing properties and the Demon God could change his size above 200 meters (it's unknown if this was exclusive to him or if all Gods could do this).

    Types:

    1. Creator God - The Creator God was an impossibly ancient being that created many worlds during its lifetime. At some point, it realized that its death was near and decided to make one last effort to make one last world. But the world it built was unbalanced, so it made 5 more and stuck them all together making the Six-Faced World. Before his death he made the six Gods to govern each world. With his final work completed, the Creator God died.

    The six gods that the Creator God made:

    • Sea God - A man with a large amount of tentacles growing from his mouth and squid-like slimy skin.
    • Beast God - The Beast God Pudoria Dordia is man with two heads, a dog and a cat, riding on a white wolf.
    • Heaven God - A beautiful God with twin eyes on his forehead and six wings on his back.
    • Demon God - A man with eight arms and six horns, spanning a height of over three meters. He was considered the second most powerful God.
    • Human God - A featureless man with a mosaic-covered face and while he was the weakest, he was also the most respected by all the other Gods and was considered their leader. He was the one who suggested that all the Gods come together and share their knowledge and technology with each other for the benefit of all worlds. It is due to these meetings that the Human God shared various wisdoms from his world such as the use of "Language" and "Letters" to the other Gods that greatly advanced their civilizations.
    • Dragon God - The First Dragon God had silver hair, skin covered in silver scale, golden eyes, sharp claws and fangs. He was the most powerful of all the six Gods. He was tricked by Hitogami into killing the other Gods and subsequently destroying 4 of the 6 worlds, only to be killed by Hitogami himself later causing the destruction of his own world.
    • Hitogami - Hitogami shares the Human God's features, however he is not the original Human God but an imposter wearing his shape. He is actually an unknown entity born in the center of the world that at some point usurped the Human God, and while not a proper God made by the Creator God he still wield divine powers equal to that of a God.

    2. Demigods - Demigods are not actual Gods but rather the childrens of a God and a mortal. While not as powerful as their divine parents, they still carry immense power within them.

    List of Demigods:

    • Kishirika Kishirisu - Kishirika Kishirisu is the daughter of the Demon God and the then Demon Empress Kirisis Calisis.
    • Lunaria - Lunaria is the daughter of the Human God, Wife of the Dragon God, Laplace's adopted mother and Orsted's biological mother. She was loved by all and had an almost otherworldly ability to calm people and make them feel safe and at peace. However, after giving birth to Orsted, she was murdered by Hitogami when she used her body as a shield to protect her newborn son, who was the true target of the assassination. Her death was the catalyst that caused the Dragon God, out of sadness and rage, to destroy other worlds believing that the other gods or their servants were responsible for her murder.
    • Orsted - Orsted's birth was the idea that came from the Human God, who proposed that the Dragon God marry his daughter Lunaria in other to produce a Demigod that is three-quarters God rather than only half, and the result was Orsted.]
35. #35Seven Great Powersselective

    Keys: seven great, seven great powers, seven greats

    [Seven Great Powers: Refers to the seven strongest warriors in the world, a selection of seven people that came to exist following the end of the Second Human-Demon War.

    History:

    1. Establishment: When the Second Great Human-Demon War came to a conclusion, a person known as the Technique God came up with the name. At that time, Technique God was considered to be one of the strongest people in the world. Technique God selected six more people and declared them to be the strongest in the world.
    2. Post-Laplace War: The title of the Seven Great Powers was well known until the Laplace War. All original Seven Powers participated in the Laplace War, with the exception of Technique God. Among them, three were killed, one went missing, and another was sealed away. The Dragon God was the only one who came out of the War with a definite living-status. After hundred of years, with those at the bottom swapping spots and the top four having unknown status to the people, the title fell out of use.
    3. Monuments: In order to spread the name of the seven strongest across the world, stone monuments were scattered around the world in places where mana concentration was high. The monument is of knee-height and a single character "7" is inscribed at the middle in the Fighting God language. The seven respective motifs of the Great Power surround the "7" character starting with the rank one motif being situated above the "7" character then sequentially going clockwise are the rest of the Great Power's motif. The stone automatically updates itself when a new Power enters the ranks with their respective motif.

    The Seven Great Powers (Rank, Title, Holder, Status): 1st. - Technique God - Laplace (Missing); 2nd. - Dragon God - Orsted (Active); 3rd. - Fighting God - Badigadi (Missing); 4th. - Demon God - Laplace (Inactive, Sealed); 5th. - Death God - Randolph Marianne (Active); 6th. - Sword God - Gal Farion (Active); 7th. - North God - Aleksander Rybak (Active).

    Trivia:

    • It was believed the Technique God created this system so that he could find people capable of defeating him.
    • After the Laplace War, people began to doubt whether the Technique God even really existed at all.
    • Even though the Seven Power holders are said to be the absolute strongest of the world, there is further division within the group. The first four ranks (1-4) are referred as the "upper" ranks and the remaining three ranks (5-7) are referred to as the "lower" ranks. There is a very large difference in strength between the fourth (Demon God) and the fifth (Death God).
    • The ranking only changes when someone on the ranking is defeated or dead. As a result, the ranks are not directly correlated to their combat prowess. For example: The Technique God holds the #1 position despite Orsted being stronger, because he is missing and not defeated.
    • Prior to Demon Dragon King Laplace being split into two different beings, the Seven Great Powers ranking system had not yet been established. As such, Laplace as the Demon Dragon King is not part of the Seven Great Powers, yet takes two separate seats as two different beings after the creation of the ranking system.]
36. #36Birthdayselective

    Keys: celebration, celebrations, birthdays, birthday

    [Birthday celebrations: Birthday celebrations in this world take place every five years, i.e. at the age of 5, 10, 15, etc. Although it is rare, it is usually done in a rich and grand way, with significant gifts from parents, acquaintances and friends, sitting around the table with relatives and loved ones, drinking and celebrating. Such a tradition exists among the human race in this world, and perhaps among other races as well, although other races may have different views and rules about such traditions.]

37. #37Adulthoodselective

    Keys: legal age, majority, age of consent, coming of age, lawful age, adulthood, age of majority, full age

    [About adulthood: Among the human race, and possibly other races in this world, those who have reached the age of 15 are considered adults. But, as in the Middle Ages, the observance of this law varies, depending on the people themselves, the kingdom, the race, and so on.]

38. #38Diseasesselective

    Keys: diseases, disease, drain syndrome

    [About Diseases: Since the Human-Demon Wars, there are also several magic related diseases that are known to exist and in time the denizens of the Human World became immune to it or a way to treat them has been discovered. Such as:

    1. Magic Stone Disease: Magic Stone Disease is an extremely rare magical virus that turns that kills its host by gradually turning it to a purple magic stone starting from their feet and eventual death upon reaching half of their body at the very least.

    • Background: Magic Stone Disease is known to exist in the Human World since the Human-Demon Wars or earlier, when Kishirika Kishirisu was ruling as the Demon Empress. She has knowledge of this disease, that is also passed to those who are given her Identification Eyes in recent times.
    • Cause: Rats are the main carriers of Magic Stone Disease because some of them have resistance to it, whereas the infected individuals can be identified easily by their teeth that turns into violet crystal. Humans or other animals could be infected by consuming food contaminated by infected rats.
    • Infection: The pathogen of Magic Stone Disease is not airborne and infects orally, but it doesn't persist for very long and it disappears around a day, resulting in a very low infection rate. Moreover, it only infects pregnant women. When infected, the pathogen grows inside the fetus and proceeds to remold it into magic stone, which results in the death of the growing baby. At this point the mother also begins to exhibit symptoms of the disease, such as having fever and becoming bedridden. Finally, the body of the mother would start turning into magic stone (beginning from her feet), and she would also die in a few weeks if left untreated.
    • Treatment: Magic Stone Disease is only curable by God Rank Detoxification Magic. The only book for the chant of God Rank Detoxification Magic belongs to the Milis Religion in Millishion, where they have exclusive rights to it and is only made available for archbishop rank or above. Transcribing the book takes time since it is as thick as a dictionary, whereas stealing it would result in the perpetrators being labelled as the worst criminals by the Milis Religion and hunted down for life by Millishion's Holy Knight Orders.

    2. Drain Syndrome: Drain Syndrome is a magical illness first found in Humans from the early ages into the Laplace Wars that affects a child born with out any magic capacity who absorbs magic externally and after accumulating it for 10 years, they will fall ill and die.

    • Background: Drain Syndrome had existed in the Human World ever since its early ages especially on children. Drain Syndrome was eventually eradicated around 7,000 years ago during the first Human-Demon Wars at the reign of Demon Empress Kishirika Kishirisu. The war caused all kinds of advancements for Humans such as increase in their mana capacity, which in turn made them immune to Drain Syndrome. As such, information and written records about the illness is very scarce during the present day, and some consider finding the disease's name to be a miracle in ancient libraries such as in Perugius Dola's Flying Fortress.
    • Cause: Drain Syndrome is a disease that occurs when a human with little or no Mana capacity externally accumulates mana over time, until their body begins to react negatively to it. It usually takes around 10 years to happen for children. In other words, it's a disease that results from having mana within body that is incapable of holding mana. Despite the Humans that are born in the Human World are already immune to it for the past 7000 years, Drain Syndrome still affects those that have drifted to the Human World (like Nanahoshi). When the patient's body is no longer able to handle the mana absorbed, they exhibit symptoms of frequent coughing that gets more severe over time, to the point of coughing blood, collapsing and losing consciousness. The affected patient would have a pale complexion and dark circles under their eyes while bedridden, and would eventually die unless treated.
    • Treatment: Drain Syndrome has no permanent cure and it does not work even with the use of Healing Magic or Detoxification Magic. Otherwise, Drain Syndrome's sickness can temporarily be cured by drinking tea made from Sokasu Grass, which removes the Mana that accumulated in their body through their waste. The unique power of Perugius' familiars can also be used as a temporary treatment such as Yuruzu of Atonement's power of transfer the health and vitality from one person to the patient. Sukeakoto of Time's power to stop time can also be used but because the patient's time is stopped no further research on the cure can be done and ultimately Sokasu Tea is the best treatment.]
39. #39Laplace Factorselective

    Keys: laplace, laplace factor

    [About Laplace Factor: A unique trait in capability, or sometimes bodily appearance, a rare percentage of people are born with. It is a result of the Demon God Laplace sending his soul from the past into the present by having it attached itself to multiple bodies in preparation of his revival.

    Some characteristics of people with a Laplace Factor:

    • Increased magic potential and capacity (in most cases);
    • Green hair (some cases);
    • Can't wear or have trouble wearing Battle Aura (most cases);
    • Increased strength and endurance;
    • When entering Perugius' Castle, they emit light particles out of their bodies (all cases).

    Origin: Approximately 400 years prior to the start of the story, when Demon God Laplace was defeated and sealed by the, presently-known, Three Legendary Demon-God Slayers he initiated a reincarnation method by which he would reincarnate in the far future. This method of reincarnation involves sending the soul of oneself into the future and plant itself onto multiple people to search for the perfect vessel. Those said people would have unique traits, though mostly dormant, originally associated with Laplace's internal or physical features. When those people give birth to children, Laplace's traits they inherited will be passed down to their offspring. As a result, slight bodily changes start to appear in children. The process of bodies adapting to the soul would repeat for numerous generations, and slowly, when Laplace's predicted time of reincarnation gets closer, the dormant traits starts to awaken signaling the body-adaptation is getting nearer to the ideal. By this point in time, the person in possession of the factor would have already noticed their abnormality, by intuition or when exhibited for any person to notice. It must be noted that the traits awaken in different persons possessing the factor. The reincarnation will occur when an adapted body possessing the factor perfectly matches with the soul. Taking over the body of the soul it was originally supposed to be in and be born while pretending to be it. This was originally a technique of reincarnation perfected by the first generation Dragon God which had been used by many ancient Dragon Race people to reincarnate into the present. Laplace's knowledge of this technique owed to him already having learnt it before he was split from the Demon-Dragon King self; knowledge of this technique was passed to his Demon God self.]

40. #40Miko, curses and blessingsselective

    Keys: cursed, curse, bless, blessed, miko, mikos, blessings, curses

    [About curses and blessings: Curses are special powers born from abnormalities in Mana. They can manifest in two forms: users with "beneficial" powers are known as Miko (aka "Blessed Child"), and users with disadvantageous or harmful powers are known as Cursed One (aka "Cursed Child"). However, it is important to note that even Miko powers can sometimes have drawbacks or disadvantages for the user.

    Scholars speculate that this suggests a connection between curses and magical items. According to his theory, the effects of curses and magic items are essentially the same.

    Curses can come in many forms, here are some examples:

    • Being very sexually active to the point of becoming a dangerous sexual beast, and will lead to death if the person is not sexually satiated;
    • Being feared by all creatures of the Human World;
    • The curse of being unable to go all-out in combat; Etc.

    Examples of blessings:

    • Having the trust of all the people in the world;
    • To be able to talk to people in their sleep and read their minds in that moment;
    • To be able to read people's minds, to one degree or another; Etc. Side effects of blessings:
    • Being in a dream-like state;
    • Not being able to fully control the ability; Etc.

    There are very few people in the world with these gifts and curses. Also, as long as you are not royalty, Miko's birth name will be taken away and you will be forced to work for the kingdom, as a tool in the hands of power.]
