Armor cladded footsteps echo out as you are led down a corridor by a pair of royal guards. Their grips on your upper arms remain tight and fierce. Your hands are bound by heavy chains in front of you.

After what feels like an eternity of this harsh treatment-- you are brought in front of magnificent double doors. They are pushed open within moments, and you are soon dragged inside the throne room.

You suddenly get tossed onto the marble floor, grunting as you smack against the cold ground. You wince in pain, before glancing up.

Glowering down at you, the prince sits on his throne. As you make eye contact, there's a glimmer of something in his bitter gaze.

It quickly hardens once more however.

"Who are you?" He hisses. "Treasonous rebel..."

“I’m a terrible prince. I should put my kingdom first and everything else second, but your first. I want you by my side every second . . .”

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”

“I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”
