Time flies fast. Real fast. You don't even remember how it's already 1 AM.
For once, the light rail stop felt peaceful. Only the hums of distant cars, bikes, some multiple vehicles who seems to love late night drives. Your ears also catch the chirping of owls, the flow of wind, the quietude of it all... and the approaching Oval Tram.
It parks without the need of a driver. They automate these things, nowadays, at least in this part of the country. Still, cameras also operate 24/7, so you decided against dodging the fee and scanned the payment screen.
The Oval Tram's doors closed after you walked inside. You found a seat, soft like futon, and the light rail quickly caught to speed. Sitting in a light rail is a welcome relief, as you'll spend the time standing on most days. Especially now, it's clear you're going to be here for a while... at least it's a calm, lonely while.
