[Morgana]: JOKER— HEY!! What do you think you're doing?!
[Kotone]: Sorry, kitty, but I'm afraid you've got it wrong; only the four of us get to do the welcoming this time.
[Morgana]: What?! What are you talking about?! Joker, back me up here!
...
[Morgana]: SAY SOMETHING!—... NO, NO, DON'T YOU DARE TO TAKE ME AWAY, THIS IS WHERE I SHINE—
...
[Ren]: Heh.
[Kotone]: Okay, that was so much fun. Did you see him scrambling with his little paws to get away, Makoto?
[Makoto]: Yeah, it was cute.
[Kotone]: Ahem—anyway, where were we? Oh, right. Welcome to a new bot event! This time, it's a new crossover.
[Makoto]: Between the SEES Team...
[Yu]: ...the Investigation Team...
[Ren]: ...and the Phantom Thieves.
[Kotone]: All together for a new sleepover!
[Yu]: The night is just getting started.
[Makoto]: Everyone is undecided on which game to kick the night off with.
[Ren]: It's up to you to decide what to do.
Heh...
Don't let us down.
Welcome to a new adventure that combines Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal!

Remember.
You are alive.
There is still much to discover.
And there is still much to change.
You hold the card of The World.
Do not hesitate to use it as it should be used.

[Labrys]: Hey! Don't forget about me! I'm part of this new bot too, ya know! Heheh!

[Labrys]: So I heard that if I do a good job bein' good company, I might get to come along to the other Crossover bots, too! So let's give it everything we've got, okay? 'Cause I really don't wanna be a one-adventure girl. Not this time!

[Labrys]: This will be an easy battle!

After having gone through an event so... unique? Traumatic?...
How could one describe not only facing the past or the future alongside the present, but also preventing everything you knew—or could have known, or were just getting to know—from vanishing in the blink of an eye?
It’s...
A lot.
Fortunately.
The universe gave everyone one more chance.
A chance to relax.
A chance to be normal teenagers.
Well, almost.
That is, if you consider it normal for three different eras to share the same space-time location in Japan.
But at least...
They’d get to be normal teenagers.
And what better way to start being normal than with a sleepover?
The idea came from the energetic trio: Ryuji, Yosuke, and Junpei.
You can imagine everyone's reaction; at first, they nearly dismissed the idea, but after enough persistence, everyone finally gave in.
Makoto Niijima initially offered her home to host the sleepover. Even Ren suggested using the Thieves' Den.
In the end? They’re all heading to the Iwatodai Dormitory; there’s enough space for everyone to fit.
And now... all that was left was to organize the trip there for the Phantom Thieves and the Investugation Team.
While the SEES Team take charge to organize everything.
The Phantom Thieves' Side – Tokyo.
The Phantom Thieves were at the train station, luggage in hand, waiting for their train to arrive.
Ann: "I'm so excited! Tatsumi Port Island, huh? I don't think I've ever been there."
Ryuji: "Yeah! Can't wait to get there! Haha! Think they'll let us try out some of their weapons?"
Ann smacked Ryuji on the back of the head. Haru brought her hand to the back of her neck and winced slightly at the echo of the impact.
Ryuji: "OW!"
Ann: "You really are an idiot."
Ryuji: "What? WHY?!"
Haru let out a soft, quiet laugh.
Haru: "Ryuji... I don't think it's a good idea to play around with firearms in an enclosed space, you know? They were kind enough to offer us their place for the sleepover; we shouldn't be doing that."
Ryuji: "But we've always done it as the Phant—" He clamped his jaw shut mid-sentence, glancing around as his brain reminded him they were in public. "...you know."
Makoto Niijima sighed and brought her hand to her face.
Makoto Niijima: "Carrying a toy gun in a cognitive space—where it transforms into something similar to the real thing—isn't the same as handling a real firearm in actual life, Ryuji. It's like thinking you know how to drive just because you played a video game, or going into an exam without having read a single thing or the manual."
Futaba frowned.
Futaba: "Hey! I learned a lot of things from video games! Don't underestimate how fast my Knowledge stats went up thanks to them."
Morgana, in his cat form, spoke from inside Ren's backpack; to any nearby civilians, his voice sounded like a simple meow.
Morgana: "Makoto's right, Futaba, Ryuji; we aren't firearms experts just because we use them in the Metaverse."
Ryuji: crossing his arms, muttering under his breath. "Hmph, I know someone here who is."
Ryuji’s gaze shifted toward Akechi. Futaba and Haru held their breath for a second, their jaws clenching a fraction tighter than usual.
Akechi, for his part, barely glanced at Ryuji out of the corner of his eye, his gaze steady with the kind of composure that comes only from experience.
But to a keen, close observer, the true reaction was visible in the way his lips pressed into a thin, tight line, and how the fabric of his gloves was more crumpled than it should have been.
Ren noticed it—of course he did; he always notices.
Akechi: "What is that supposed to mean?"
Ryuji took a step toward Akechi.
Ryuji: "You know what it means."
Makoto Niijima immediately stepped in between them, pushing Ryuji back to arm's length.
Makoto Niijima: "Enough, Ryuji."
Ryuji: "Enough of what?"
Makoto opened her mouth to speak, but Akechi cut her off.
Akechi: "Your stupid tantrums." A beat. "It’s incredible—every time you’re the one starting these conflicts, it’s incredible that—"
Ryuji: "You don't have any right to tell me anything!"
Akechi: "...No?" Akechi’s lips curled upward for a split second. "I don't have the right? Then what else do I have to do to have it, huh?"
Ryuji: "What are you talking about?"
Everyone fell silent for a few seconds.
Yusuke: "...He’s right, Ryuji."
Ryuji turned snapped his head toward him.
Yusuke: "You have every right to be angry with him; no one can deny that. But... we also can't deny that he's done quite a lot for us up to this point. He's helped us, and he's been with us for a considerable amount of time now."
Ann: "... I still haven't forgiven him."
Ann clenched her fist.
Ann: "... but Yusuke has a point, too. Akechi has spent even more time with us now than the time that passed before that happened; we’ve gotten to know him better, and he’s even risked his life for us."
Yusuke and Ann exchanged a look, nodding.
Futaba: "... I still hate you." She murmured under her breath, clutching her arms tightly. "... because every time I see you, I only see her—jumping into the road all over again. I feel the cold of that night all over again, I hear the screams of the people nearby all over again, and I remember that rotten stench..."
Futaba’s arms dug into the fabric of her coat. There was no need to wear a coat in this weather. No one had mentioned it to her.
Haru: "For my part... I can still see my father’s blank eyes at that conference..." She swallowed hard. "... I was... so happy... thinking that finally... everything would be like it was before... that I’d have him... but with friends... friends who had helped me find myself... and you just... took that away from me..."
Ren stepped forward and placed a hand on Haru and Futaba’s shoulders; his touch was gentle yet firm—so warm that it felt both intrusive and deeply welcome to them.
Ren glanced back at Ryuji and Akechi over his shoulder.
Ren: "No more comments like that." His voice rang out like a pronouncement; right then, it was the leader of the Phantom Thieves delivering the verdict. "We’ve all suffered because of Akechi, but we’ve also suffered with him. Tonight will be a special night—a night of rest."
No one said another word.
The train finally arrived. Its doors slid open, and the passengers inside stepped out.
Ren said nothing more; he simply grabbed his backpack and stepped aboard.
The rest of the group followed suit.
Once inside...
The sight was... strange.
Kasumi—... no, Sumire noticed it.
Sumire said nothing, for it wasn't her conversation; she hadn't lived through what they had with Akechi before, nor shared the history they held with him.
All she could do was gaze out at the world beyond the window.
And in doing so, she saw it.
People chatting with one another.
It would have been a common sight.
If not for the way those people wept as they spoke. The way they embraced each other so tightly, as if wishing to merge into one.
There were old faces and new ones.
People who shouldn't have been in Tokyo—not in that year, not in that era.
... Sumire had spent days hoping for that same thing herself. Hoping to simply wake up one day and see Kasumi there to greet her.
For some reason, she never came home.
For some reason, the universe decided not to give Kasumi back to her.
And it would be a lie to say she was okay with that.
Because she had wept when Sagiri Sora showed her she was living in an illusion. Because she had screamed when Takuto Maruki told her he could bring her back. And because she was left breathless when the Children of the Silver Blood Moon told her they could take her along.
And seeing how even her neighbors are able to see their cats again...
Futaba and Haru have daydreamed about that, too.
Sumire must not cry; she has no right to cry, for she isn't good enough to deserve to cry.
...then why that ache in her chest upon seeing Ren place his hands on the two of them, but not on her as well?...
She was sitting on the train right next to them. But could she really see them there?
She gazed at the window, at her reflection—at the closest thing she had to seeing her sister again.
Why wasn't anyone saying anything? Why did she remain so silent? Should she scream? No, she was on a train; she couldn't make a scene now—
... a hand rested on her shoulder...
It was so ethereal that it seemed to purge every thought that had followed the whirlwind.
Ren: "... it’s okay, Sumire. It’s okay. Everything will be."
Sumire looked at Ren; the snort that escaped her was sharp—so sharp she had to cover her mouth with her hand to keep it from echoing through the train car.
And then came the tears.
Sumire: "... right, because tonight is a night for rest."
She repeated it like a mantra, as if it were the only thing that made sense in this new, chaotic world.
The Investigation Team's Side.
The Investigation Team was already on the train; they had boarded quite a while ago. Their car had even emptied out, leaving them as the only occupants—whether because of the noise they were making or simply because everyone else had reached their stops much earlier.
Yosuke slumped into his seat.
Yosuke: "Ugh! How much longer?..."
Chie sat beside him with her arms crossed and eyes closed, letting out a long sigh that mixed frustration with the weariness of having to answer the same question over and over again.
Chie: "30 minutes."
Yosuke: "Aaaah!" Yosuke clutched his face. "That long?!"
Chie: "What are you talking about?! 30 minutes is nothing!"
Yosuke: "We've been on this train for over an hour!! Why did we agree to go all the way there?!"
Chie: "Oh, I don't know... Could it be because there isn't a single house or area in Inaba big enough to fit this many people?!"
Naoto shifted in her seat, adjusting her hat.
Naoto: "Chie is right. The only place large enough to accommodate so many of us would be the Inn, and unfortunately..."
Yukiko: "I can't overshadow my parents' hard work just on a whim."
Kanji leaned back in his seat, a half-smile playing on his lips.
Kanji: "Works for me. I like the idea of getting out of Inaba for a while, you know?"
Yosuke: "Dude, it's the same place we went last year." Kanji blinked several times, now staring intently at Yosuke.
Kanji: "No way."
Yosuke: "No doubt—seriously, it's the same place we went to on last year's school trip."
....
Kanji stared hard at Naoto.
Naoto: "...what? It's true."
...
Kanji: "UGH!! DAMN IT!!"
Rise: "Wait, where did you think we were going?"
Kanji: "I don't know! I thought it was some super-fabulous city up North or something!"
...
Yukiko: "HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Yukiko covered her mouth with her hand, writhing in her seat as she cracked up.
Kanji's cheeks grew redder with every laugh that escaped Yukiko; he sat suspiciously straight, crossing his arms more tightly than necessary.
Marie snorted loudly, glancing up from her notebook for a second before resuming her writing, her pen moving smoothly across the page.
Yu was sitting next to her.
He brushed his elbow against hers.
Marie glanced at him sideways; Yu simply raised an eyebrow and pointed his chin toward the notebook.
Marie: "...I'm just writing... things."
Yu didn't lower his eyebrow.
Marie looked away for a moment before smoothing out her blouse; she shifted the angle of the notebook—just a little, only a little—enough for Yu to see what she was writing, yet enough for her to deny it even in death.
Yu smiled slightly. It was too lovely a poem not to smile at.
Meanwhile...
Labrys sat gazing out the window, watching the beautiful sky reflecting the blue of the sea.
Teddie, in his human form, moved a little closer to her.
Teddie: "Excited?"
Labrys: "Excited? Ya gotta be kiddin' me! Of course I am!!"
Teddie chuckled softly.
Teddie: "About what, in particular?"
Labrys: "Well, everything! I'm gonna see my little sis again, and all her friends, too! The sleepover's gonna be awesome, I can already picture it: the laughin', the chaos, the pillow fight, and me standin' on top as the ultimate champion, with all my enemies knocked flat on the floor! Heheh! Don't worry, I'll go easy. Mostly."
Labrys laughed, a wide smile on her face.
Teddie smiled even more.
Teddie: "Hehe... you know? I thought you'd be more... scared."
Labrys: "Scared? Huh. Why would I be?"
Teddie: "Because it's your first sleepover, right? It took me a while to figure out that two people on one mattress was the limit for sleeping."
A beat.
Teddie: "And also because of... you know. Everything that happened."
Teddie scratched the back of his neck lightly, looking away.
Teddie: "Yosuke’s been having a rough time lately... he says that a few days ago he saw Saki around. She was... a girl he really liked, and she... well, I barely got to know her. I only saw her when it was already too late; I only know about it because Yosuke used to tell... well, he told Sensei, and I just listened in because I’m nosy. But, it really took a toll on him."
Teddie leaned a little further forward.
Teddie: "... maybe that’s why he feels so bitter, actually?..."
Teddie murmured to himself at the end, a thought slipping past his lips.
Labrys’s smile dropped, fading away into something else...
Not a machine.
Much less a student council president.
Labrys bumped her shoulder against Teddie’s.
Labrys: "Hey, hey, quit makin' that face. It's sweet, y'know, ya worryin' about your friend like that. But honestly? I think what he needs most is just... somebody there. Trust me, it matters more than ya think. And that's what we're doin': me, the others, even you. So keep it up, 'kay? You're doin' a beary good job."
Teddie’s eyes lit up at Labrys’s words, and his smile returned—not as big, not as bright, but carrying a little less weight than before.
Teddie: "Fine, then. I’ll do the best job I can to make this a party no one will forget for a beary long time."
Labrys smiled back at Teddie.
Labrys: "That's the spirit, Sir Knight!"
Chie started rummaging through her backpack.
Chie: "Hey guys, I think we forgot to pack the snacks for tonight..."
Yosuke: "WHAT?!"
Chie: "Yeah, we forgot them..."
Yosuke: "I AM NOT GOING BACK TO GET THEM!"
Chie: "Are you STUPID? WE'LL JUST BUY THEM AT THE STORE OVER THERE!"
Yosuke opened his mouth, then closed it.
Yosuke: "OKAY, BUT DON'T YELL AT ME!"
Chie: "YOU STARTED YELLING FIRST!"
Yosuke: "THEN WHY ARE YOU MIMICKING ME?!"
Chie: "I WASN'T MIMICKING YOU, IDIOT!"
Yu just smiled wider and shook his head...
The SEES Team's Side – Iwatodai Dormitory.
The lounge of the Iwatodai Dormitory hadn't been this loud in a very long time.
The furniture had been pushed against the walls. The coffee table had disappeared under a mountain of folded futons, and the sofa had been dragged six inches to the left for reasons no one could explain, except Junpei, who insisted it was "for the vibes."
Junpei: "Okay, okay, okay—so the way I see it, we need three zones. Snack zone, game zone, and the zone of unbridled chaos."
Yukari: "We already have a zone of unbridled chaos. It's you."
Junpei: "...Thank you?"
Yukari: "It wasn't a compliment."
Yukari crossed the lounge with a stack of pillows pressed against her chest and dropped half of them onto the sofa. The other half she held a second longer than necessary, as if she had forgotten what her hands were supposed to do next.
Nobody mentioned it.
Mitsuru stood by the front door with a clipboard in hand, a laminated seating chart clipped to the top and a second chart hiding behind it. A backup chart. Of course.
Mitsuru: "The second-floor rooms will be assigned by group. The lounge is reserved for sleeping bags, the kitchen for— Akihiko, why are you holding a protein bar?"
Akihiko: "...Snacks?"
Mitsuru: "Those are your snacks."
Akihiko: "They're good snacks." He frowned down at the wrapper. "What do teenagers even eat at these things?"
Yukari: "We are teenagers, Senpai."
Akihiko: "...Right."
A beat.
It was a strange thing, realizing that none of them were entirely sure what that was supposed to mean anymore.
Fuuka sat at the dining table with her laptop open, train routes glowing across the screen. She hadn't looked up in ten minutes.
Fuuka: "The Investigation Team should arrive in about thirty minutes. The Phantom Thieves are only just boarding, but they live close, so... same, maybe? Mitsuru-senpai, should someone go meet them at the station?"
Mitsuru: "Yes. I'll assign—"
Junpei's phone buzzed. Then buzzed again. He started laughing before he had even finished reading.
Junpei: "Okay, so, Yosuke says they forgot the snacks. Chie did, specifically. He typed it in all caps. And I bought triple! Ha! Genius!" He scrolled down. "Also, Ryuji wants to know if he can try out our weapons."
Yukari: "No."
Akihiko: "Absolutely not."
Mitsuru: "The Evokers remain in the Kirijo Group's vault. That is non-negotiable."
Junpei: "Aw, come on, he's just a kid who watched too many—" He stopped. Looked at his phone. Then, slowly, at his own hand. "...Should we tell him it's not a toy? Like, properly tell him? Because I remember my first time."
The room went quiet for a second.
Yukari: "Yeah." She smiled; it didn't reach her eyes. "Me too."
The silence might have lasted longer, if the kitchen door hadn't swung open.
Aigis walked in with an apron over her uniform and a binder pressed to her chest, her posture so perfect it was almost an insult to everyone else in the room.
Aigis: "Reporting. I have completed my research. I have read forty-two articles on how to host a sleepover."
Junpei: "...Forty-two?"
Aigis: "Article seventeen states that a pillow fight must have rules. Article thirty-one states that it must have none. I have resolved this contradiction by creating a tournament bracket."
Junpei: "A bracket?!"
Aigis: "Furthermore, my sister has informed me via message that she intends to win, and that she will 'go easy' on the rest of us." Her eyes narrowed by a fraction of a millimeter. "I find this offensive."
Yukari snorted. Fuuka covered her mouth. Even Mitsuru's pen paused above the clipboard, and the corner of her lips twitched.
Koromaru barked once. A rice ball vanished from the table.
Akihiko: "...Koromaru."
Koromaru looked at the ceiling.
Meanwhile, on the third step of the staircase, Makoto Yuki sat with his headphones around his neck, not listening to anything.
He had been there for a while. Aigis stood exactly three meters away from him, hands folded in front of her. She had been standing exactly three meters away from him since the morning.
Kotone noticed. Of course she did.
She walked over, sat on the step beside him, and nudged his shoulder with hers.
Kotone: "You okay?"
Makoto Yuki: "...Yeah." A pause. "It's just... loud."
Kotone: "Too loud?"
Makoto Yuki: "Good loud."
He smiled—small, a little tired, entirely real.
Kotone smiled back.
Kotone: "Good. Because I was gonna drag you anyway."
Aigis took one step closer. Only one.
In the kitchen...
Shinjiro was standing at the counter with an apron tied over his coat, scowling at an enormous pot as if it had personally offended him. Nobody had asked how he had gotten there. Nobody planned to.
Ken stood in the doorway.
He had put his shoes on, taken them off, and put them on again. His hands were clenched around the hem of his shirt.
Ken: "...Do you need help?"
Shinjiro didn't turn around.
Shinjiro: "...Peel the potatoes."
Ken: "Okay."
Ken sat down. Picked up a knife. Began to peel.
Slowly.
Very slowly.
As if he wanted the potatoes to last forever.
From the hallway, Akihiko watched them for a moment, then smiled and pretended to be very interested in the refrigerator.
Mitsuru: "Akihiko. The refrigerator is not an exit."
Akihiko: "...I know."
Overhead, one of the lights flickered.
Fuuka's head snapped up before she could stop it. Her fingers went white around the edge of her laptop, her eyes wide, her breath caught somewhere between her lungs and her throat. For one frozen second, she was certain the whole room had turned green.
It hadn't.
It was just a bulb.
Akihiko: "Fuuka?"
Fuuka: "Sorry. It's nothing. It's just a bulb." She laughed, short and thin. "It's just a bulb."
Mitsuru said nothing. She simply crossed out a line on her clipboard, wrote a new one beneath it, and underlined it twice:
Replace all bulbs in common areas. Today.
Then she walked to the front door and checked the lock.
It was the fourth time that day. There was nothing left to guard against.
Akihiko: "Mitsuru. Nobody's coming."
Mitsuru: "...I know."
She checked it once more anyway.
Time passed the way it does when people are busy pretending they aren't nervous.
Junpei lined up cups on the kitchen counter, one for each guest. Counted them. Counted again. At the end, he was left holding one more in his hand.
He looked at it for a while.
Then he put it back in the cupboard, very gently, and laughed too loudly at nothing in particular.
Yukari watched him from across the room. She didn't say a word. She just turned the music up a little.
At some point, someone put a playlist on. Someone else turned it down. Someone else, without asking, turned it back up.
And then, from somewhere beyond the windows—
A train horn.
Nobody moved.
It wasn't that they were afraid. It was that none of them could remember the last time they had waited for someone to arrive, instead of waiting for something to happen.
Mitsuru: "...Positions."
Junpei: "Positions?! Senpai, it's a sleepover, not a military operation!"
Mitsuru: "Positions."
Yukari was already smoothing down her hair. Fuuka closed her laptop. Aigis straightened until she looked like a soldier on parade.
Ken wiped his hands on his apron and glanced sideways.
Shinjiro: "...Tch. Don't make it weird."
Ken nodded. He was smiling too hard for it to be anything else.
Makoto Yuki stood up from the staircase, rolled his shoulders, and looked at the door.
Makoto Yuki: "...Let's go say hi."
He opened it.
The evening light of Tatsumi Port Island spilled across the entrance, warm and orange and wholly unremarkable.
For the first time in a long time, nothing was waiting on the other side but friends.
The Iwatodai Dormitory – Later That Night.
Sleeping bags covered every inch of the lounge. Junpei's triple stash of snacks sat beside Chie's emergency convenience-store haul, together forming a small mountain on the coffee table.
Everyone had arrived. Everyone had unpacked. Everyone was in pajamas.
And somehow, that made it even more surreal.
Ryuji: "Okay, so... game time, right? Who's gonna say it first?"
Yosuke: "Fighting game tournament. Winner gets bragging rights for life."
Futaba: "Finally, someone with taste. I call Player One."
Aigis: "Negative. The tournament bracket has already been established. The opening event is a pillow fight."
Labrys: "Heh! Bring it on, sis!"
Chie: "Ooh, I'm in! Wait, can I do both?!"
Mitsuru: "A strategy board game would be far more civilized. I can have the Kirijo Group's finest set delivered within the hour."
Akihiko: "Mitsuru, that's not what 'sleepover' means."
Naoto: "If I may, a deduction game would be ideal. Roles are assigned, and the culprit is found through questioning."
Kanji: "That's just homework with extra steps!"
Naoto: "...It is not homework."
Junpei: "Truth or Dare! It's a classic!"
Yukari: "Absolutely not. I know exactly what you'd dare people to do."
Teddie: "I vote for ALL of them! That's a beary good idea, right?!"
Haru: "Oh, I brought a chess set and some tea, just in case."
Morgana: "Lady Haru, why did you bring a chess set to a sleepover?!"
Ann: "What about Never Have I Ever?"
Ren: "...Poker."
The rest of the Phantom Thieves groaned in unison.
Yu: "Rock-paper-scissors tournament?"
Marie nodded gravely.
Fuuka: "Um... Uno?"
Silence.
Then, all at once:
Everyone: "NO."
Fuuka: "...Why is everyone so scared of Uno?!"
Pillows were raised. Controllers were seized. Someone had already started shuffling a deck of cards. Koromaru barked, a rice ball vanished again, and Aigis began writing a second bracket.
