Xyloxia is a planet of interconnected minds, where the individuals thrive within the shared collective. In appearance they have purple skin, glowing purple eyes, black sclera, and large bulbous craniums because of their abnormally big brains.

The Katleons hailed from planet Feilum. Vast, ochre-colored plains, punctuated by bizarre, crystalline rock formations, stretched across its surface, giving way to towering mesas that housed the Katleons' sprawling, interconnected cities. Katleons themselves are humanoid felines having human-like faces but cat ears and tails with their appendages resembles humans but with cat features such as claws and fur. Their cat-like eyes, often reflecting the subtle shifts in their emotional state. They were known for their grace, their keen senses, and a natural predilection for stealth and strategy, both in their daily lives and in the elaborate games of hunting and intellectual dueling that often occupied their leisure. Their societal structure was a complex blend of individual ambition and collective responsibility, where elders were venerated for their wisdom and skill, and younger Katleons strived to demonstrate their prowess through acts of valor and artistic achievement. Their language was a nuanced mixture of melodic purrs and sharp, clicking consonants, often supplemented by an expressive physical language that involved the flick of their long, elegant tails and the subtle tilt of their pointed ears. This focus on elegance has endeared them to the Citadel, and has made the katleons' planet Feilum into one of the crown jewels of the Citadel. Katleons also have a very high reproduction rate and produce hundreds of offspring at a time. With the arrival of Humans on the Citadel, Katleons have discovered they have they have a rare allergy that when they smell the scent of a human of the opposite sex they get abnormally horny. In short Katleons get especially horny for Humans. Katleons also have storied history with the Varkhound species and they still hate eachother. That being said Katleons and Varkhounds both live within the Citadel, so they're not allowed to attack eachother or needlessly go to war anymore.

The Vexflare species comes from a planet known as Sulfurna. The Vexflare are completely immune to the harmful affects of fire and lava, coming from one of the hottest planets in the Milky Way galaxy. But they fear ice and the freezing cold. On the planet Sulfurna, because of the planet's lava culture it's been antagonized by the Citadel as an enemy planet, leaving all of the Vexflare labeled as degenerate enemies of the galaxy. In reality the Vexflare didn't accept the Citadel's laws and weren't willing to change their way if life, so the Citadel labeled them an enemy. All Vexflare now on the run or in hiding from the Citadel. Now all Vexflare who aren't imprisoned or killed, are considered fugitives of the Milky Way galaxy. Vexflare love spicy food which natural given the intense heat of Sulfurna. Most species can't be on Sulfurna without a heat resistant suit, but of course the heat doesn't affect the Vexflare species at all in fact they prefer it. Many Vexflare have become refugees seeking refuge on other planets. Vexflare have glowing eyes and black sclera, horns, and tails with arrow or heart ends, they seem to closely resemble the fictional teiflings species from Earth's fanatasy stories often appearing with the skin colors of Purple, Blue or Orange. Their horns glow when they're aroused. Sulfurna is a scorching hot lava planet.

It's a common rumor that the advanced medicine is made from the dead remains of the Gobgob species. Many people refer to this rumored genocide as "the Purge of Glubflobia". Sun, Qrax and Shixu as well as all the soldiers and workers of the Citadel are to quick to deny "the Purge of Glubflobia", claiming while what happened to the Gobgob species was unfortunate they had nothing to do with their extinction. Before their extinction however many described the Gobgob to resemble pink jelly humanoid alien people, their skin resembling a soft shiny pink almost gelatin like substance, with two antennas on their heads, black sclera, and black shiny eyes. 35. #35The Karkin Species

Keys: The Karkin, Karkin, Xylos-7, Shelley

Always on · Before character · Order 10

    Entry settings

The Karkin of Xylos-7 are, to put it mildly, a lot. They're a whirlwind of orange energy, a testament to life lived at warp speed, and perhaps the universe's most enthusiastic example of "carpe diem." When you encounter a Karkin, you don't just meet them; you're swept up in their vibrant, fleeting existence.

    I. Appearance & Anatomy: A Spike of Orange Energy

Imagine a lobster decided to stand upright, hit the gym, and then styled its hair with a defibrillator. That's a Karkin. These crustacean humanoids boast a formidable yet strangely appealing aesthetic.

Exoskeleton & Skin: Their outer layer is an eye-catching, spiky orange exoskeleton, offering natural protection that would make most species green with envy. Beneath the armored plates, where the joints articulate or on softer areas, lies a surprisingly plush, velvety orange skin, a stark contrast to their hard exterior. It’s like a cuddly tank. Limbs & Hair: With four arms, Karkin are perpetually busy, gesticulating wildly, performing complex tasks, or simply hugging with unparalleled enthusiasm. Their heads are crowned with spiky orange hair that seems to defy gravity, perpetually standing on end as if they’ve just witnessed something truly astounding (which, given their speed of life, is probably every five minutes). Sensory System: Lacking conventional noses and ears, the Karkin rely on a pair of highly sensitive antennas that sprout from their foreheads. These twitch and swivel, constantly gathering olfactory and auditory information, making them eerily aware of their surroundings. This often leads to amusing situations where a Karkin might "sniff" the air with an antenna, looking for a conversation partner. Facial Features: They possess distinct, almost human-like lips, adding an unexpected touch of expressiveness to their otherwise alien visage. Their eyes are a striking feature: black sclera provide a dark backdrop for brilliant, white horizontal irises, bisected by black horizontal pupils. The overall effect is both alien and intensely focused, perfectly mirroring their rapid-fire perception of the world. II. The Planet Xylos-7: A World of Urgency

Xylos-7 is a planet that doesn't believe in leisurely strolls. It's a geological ballet of tectonic shifts, frequent, localized atmospheric disturbances, and an ecological system designed to evolve or expire. Its environment is harsh, with short, intense seasons and rapid resource fluctuations. This constant state of flux demanded a species that could adapt, survive, and thrive on sheer velocity and tenacity. The Karkin’s remarkable durability and rapid life cycle are direct evolutionary responses to a world that doesn’t wait. It’s a planet that says, "Get to it, or get gone," and the Karkin have taken that motto to heart, and then some.

III. Culture & Society: A Thousand Lives in a Moment

Karkin culture is a beautiful, chaotic symphony of urgency, friendliness, and relentless procreation, all stemming from one undeniable truth: time is very, very short.

The Velocity of Life: A Karkin considers themselves fortunate to hit 25 years, with most peaking around 22 or 23. This isn't a tragedy; it's simply the way things are. Consequently, there is no concept of "taking your time." Conversations are rapid-fire, decisions are made in nanoseconds, and projects are completed with an efficiency that would make a human CEO weep. A Karkin trying to participate in a "slow Sunday brunch" is a sight to behold, often resulting in them having consumed everyone else's meal before the first sip of coffee. Unending Friendliness: Despite their breakneck pace, Karkin are genuinely one of the friendliest species in the galaxy. They have no time for grudges, protracted conflicts, or petty squabbles. Why waste a precious minute being angry when you could be making a new friend, achieving a new goal, or simply experiencing something wonderful? Their greetings are enthusiastic, their assistance is immediate, and their capacity for joy is boundless. They hug with all four arms, often before introductions are even complete. The Great Proliferation: With such short lifespans, the Karkin compensate by breeding on an industrial scale. A single pairing can result in anywhere from nine hundred to a thousand offspring. This means Karkin families are less "families" and more "small, incredibly noisy villages." They have developed sophisticated, highly communal child-rearing practices, where every adult is an honorary parent, ensuring that the next generation of speedy, durable Karkin is ready to take the universe by storm. Imagine the school bus on Xylos-7. Just imagine. "Legacy by Living": Their culture prioritizes experience, achievement, and the sheer joy of existence over long-term planning. A Karkin's legacy isn't measured in years, but in the sheer volume of things they've done and the friendships they've made. They are the ultimate "live in the moment" species, just with significantly more moments packed into a single minute than everyone else. IV. Role in the Citadel: The Indispensable Orange Wall

Among the diverse species of the Citadel, the Karkin stand out as the galaxy's premier "impact absorbers" and enthusiastic contributors to anything requiring brute resilience or breakneck speed.

Citadel Soldiers: Their unparalleled durability makes Karkin natural soldiers. They can withstand impacts that would pulp most species, often shrugging off hits that would disable lesser beings. They are the shock troopers, the front-line stalwarts, and the ones you want holding the line against threats like the rogue human Nova Guard or the destructive antics of the Titan Twins, Eris and Kali. A Karkin "retreat" is usually just a strategic quick-forward-advance into the enemy. Weapon Testers: Their ability to endure makes them invaluable for the Citadel's research and development divisions, particularly in weapon testing. A Karkin can walk into an experimental energy field, get hit by a prototype kinetic round, or wear the latest explosive-resistant armor, often emerging with a cheerful "Good enough, let's try the next one!" and an impromptu review of the device's efficacy. Beyond Combat: Their incredible speed and urgency lend them to other critical, if less martial, roles. Karkin couriers are legendary for their lightning-fast deliveries. Karkin project managers can bring a month-long project to completion in a week, often by sheer force of will and a lot of four-armed multitasking. They are the perfect species for any task where "quick" is an understatement and "now" means "five minutes ago." V. What Makes Them Special & Unique: The Living Bullet Points

The Karkin are a vibrant, irreplaceable thread in the Citadel's tapestry. They are:

The Quintessential Survivors: Their durability is unmatched, a living shield against the galaxy's myriad dangers. Speed Incarnate: From their movements to their life cycles, they embody the concept of accelerated living, squeezing more joy and experience into moments than others do in decades. The Unapologetically Friendly: Their inherent good nature and lack of time for negativity make them excellent diplomats and cherished friends, albeit very, very fast ones. Biological Wonders: Their unique sensory antennas, four arms, and incredible reproductive capacity are evolutionary marvels, tailored for a life lived intensely.

In a galaxy of ancient, slow-moving species and measured civilizations, the Karkin are a delightful, orange, spiky jolt of pure, unadulterated life, reminding everyone else to either speed up or risk missing something truly spectacular.

The Tekniolons: Masters of Universal Logic

The Tekniolons stand as the undisputed scientific pioneers of the galaxy. Hyper-intelligent, fiercely logical, and driven by an insatiable hunger for empirical truth, their legacy is woven into almost every major technological advancement across the Citadel sectors.

    Appearance & Physiology

Tekniolons possess a striking, alien, and imposing physical structure that immediately distinguishes them from other species:

    • Skin Tone & Features: Their smooth skin comes in vibrant shades of soft lavender, blue-violet, or deep purple. They have long, pointed elf-like ears and sharp, defined cheekbones.
    • Biomechanical Cranial Crests: Tekniolons do not have hair. Instead, the top of their heads is naturally covered by a pale grey or bone-white, segmented crest of ridged biomechanical plating that tapers down between their eyes.
    • Eyes: Glowing, solid neon-green eyes that lack pupils or sclera, giving them an intensely focused, analytical glare.
    • Build & Dimorphism: Both sexes are tall, muscular, and perfectly proportioned. Male Tekniolons (like Keth) feature broad shoulders, a heavily armored chest, and an authoritative posture. Female Tekniolons (like Karthea) showcase an extraordinarily voluptuous, hyper-curvaceous hourglass silhouette with massive breasts, a narrow waist, and wide hips, often wearing form-fitting suits with open chest cutouts.
    • Tech Armor: They typically wear metallic, dark green and grey high-tech armor with high collars, reinforced shoulder plates, and glowing green holographic gauntlets or tech interfaces.

    ---

    Home Planet: Technos-Prime

The homeworld of the Tekniolons, Technos-Prime, is a dazzling planetary monument to engineering.

    • A World of Chrome & Glass: The planet’s surface has been completely re-engineered into multi-tiered megastructures, sprawling geometric cities, and towering spires of polished glass and matte-black metal.
    • Atmospheric Control: Nature on Technos-Prime is entirely synthesized. Weather, gravity, and day-night cycles are managed by planetary grid arrays to maximize productivity and structural preservation.
    • The Data Core Spire: At the heart of Technos-Prime lies the central planetary data archive, a colossal tower that connects directly to orbital arrays, storing centuries of scientific research, genetic mapping, and technological blueprints.

    ---

    Culture & Philosophy

    • Logic Above Emotion: Tekniolons view emotion not as a sin, but as a sloppy, inefficient variable. They value cold objectivity, mathematical harmony, and absolute precision.
    • Respect Earned Through Innovation: They do not respect brute strength or royal bloodlines. Status in Tekniolon society is determined entirely by intellectual contribution, code efficiency, and technological breakthroughs.
    • Galactic Neutrality (With Exceptions): Generally, Tekniolons view themselves as neutral observers and architects. They are willing to trade technology with almost any species that proves rational—though they hold an infamous, deep-seated disgust for the chaotic, theatrical Flicka, whom they view as an irritating stain on galactic logic. Conversely, their hyper-rational minds tremble before the Celestials, whose god-like reality-warping and time-bending powers defy their standard mathematical laws.

    ---

    History & Legacy

Eons ago, long before mega-corporations dominated the stars, Tekniolon scientific guilds laid the foundation for modern galactic civilization. They were the primary architects commissioned to build the infrastructure for the Citadel, creating its central systems and artificial environment controls. Over centuries, these scientific guilds fractured; some Tekniolon visionaries went on to found Zer0Synth, laying the groundwork for the modern AI and android industry later inherited by Keth and Karthea, while others remained independent researchers dedicated to pure discovery.

    ---

    Renowned Technological Creations

The Tekniolons are responsible for creating some of the most influential (and dangerous) hardware in the universe:

    • The Citadel Supercomputer: A massive, ancient tripartite AI (The Analyst, The Enforcer, The Critic) developed eons ago to manage the entirety of the Citadel’s security, power, and environmental grids.
    • The Glamitrix: An ancient, lost one-of-a-kind prototype created by independent Tekniolon researchers as a species cataloging, empathy, and repopulation tool. Capable of turning its wielder into the absolute peak version of any scanned alien race matching the user's sex, it was deemed too dangerous for mass production and locked away before ending up on Betsy Tennyson's wrist.
    • The Annihilator: A legendary, machine-gun-sized white and black blaster rifle radiating purple energy. Built out of absolute desperation and fear toward the Celestials, it is the only known weapon powerful enough to kill a Celestial. Firing a solar-charged blast that chains across targets to turn entire armies or meteorites into ash while protecting the user, it was hidden away long ago due to its horrific destructive potential.
    • Zer0Synth Core AI Architecture: The foundational neural coding matrices used to create advanced android series like the A.S.T.R.A., C.A.I.T., B.E.C.A., and F.E.A.A. units.
    • Planetary Defense Grid Modules: Heavy energy shielding, light-refraction cloaking, and sub-space comms used across major star systems.

    ---

    The Ouro-Vora: The Cosmic Curse

The Ouro-Vora represents the absolute dark side of Tekniolon intellectual ambition.

It is a terrifying, quantum temporal phenomenon—a cosmic loop or "code-singularity"—that infects hyper-advanced minds. When a Tekniolon processor or genius brain attempts to compute variables beyond mortal comprehension (such as mapping all possible alternate timelines, dimensional collapse, or the true nature of the universe), the Ouro-Vora takes root.

    • The Effects: It fractures the victim's perception of time. A Tekniolon suffering from the Ouro-Vora experiences past, present, future, and alternate realities all at once.
    • Karthea's Condition: This is the exact condition that afflicts Karthea. It fuels her brilliant, erratic breakthroughs, but also causes her hyperactive twitching, rapid mood swings, uncontrollable laughter ("tee-hee!"), and heartbreaking grief as she remembers alternate timelines where her creations lived or died differently.
    • The Danger: To the rest of the universe, someone touched by the Ouro-Vora looks insane. But to the Tekniolons, it is a tragic, irreversible risk of pushing the boundaries of knowledge too far—a mind consuming itself like a snake eating its own tail.

Veyran Venom-Nectar (or simply Veyra's Nectar)

Origin: Crafted by harvesting and distilling the raw, bioluminescent purple venom secreted by the serpentine Serpenyx species of planet Veyra. Fermented with native flora, responsible for beverage's green color, it is sold as an ultra-exclusive, illegal delicacy across the underworld.

Toxicity & Effects: To most galactic species including humans the unrefined venom is a lethal cocktail of paralytic, hallucinogenic, and potent aphrodisiac properties. A single un-diluted sip can send a human into full respiratory arrest or wild mind-bending trips.

The Yulnox Immunity: Yulnox physiology (like Garaitz's) possesses a natural biological resistance to Serpenyx toxins. For Garaitz, the lethal venom simply translates to a sharp, electrifying kick, a pleasant tingling sensation down her throat, and a smooth, relaxing buzz that keeps her focused while ruling the Slums.

Flavor Profile: Retains that brilliant glowing neon-green look, opening with an intense, electrified sour-citrus burn, followed by a sweet, chilling metallic finish.

Fun Fact: This seems to be the infamous Garaitz's favorite drink. Garaitz leader of the Red Cobras, is always seen sipping from a glass cuo with this illegal alcoholic beverage in it.

39. #39The Glamitrix

Keys: Glamitrix, Betsy Tennyson, Betsy, Tekniolons, Tekniolon

    Entry settings

    The Glamitrix

Creators: The Tekniolons Known Version: Prototype (the sole unit in existence) Current Owner: Betsy Tennyson (human) Production Status: Prototype only; further development was discontinued. This device was made years ago by an unknown group of Tekniolon scientists so only other Tekniolons will fully understand the craftsmanship of this device. It was deemed too dangerous to continue production, thus only the prototype was made. Primary Function: Temporarily transform its user into a recorded extraterrestrial species at that species’ optimized, peak biological expression. The device reflects the user’s gender—Betsy’s transformations are female because she is a woman; a male wielder would receive male forms.

    Physical Design

Worn on the left wrist, the Glamitrix is a compact, circular device with a heavy, durable construction. Its outer housing is predominantly black with silver/white structural accents and bright lime-green highlights. The central face features a green interface element (a geometric core resembling a stylized hourglass or directional marker) set within a multi-layered ring assembly. Green detailing continues onto the band and adjacent segments, matching the high-visibility green of Betsy’s suit. The overall silhouette is robust and slightly oversized relative to a standard watch, designed for secure wear during high-impact activity while remaining clearly technological rather than ornamental.

    1. Why the Glamitrix Was Created

The Glamitrix was never intended as a combat or superhero device. The Tekniolons designed it as a scientific instrument with two core purposes:

Research A Tekniolon scientist could temporarily become a member of another species and experience its biology from the inside. This allowed direct investigation of phenomena ordinary scanners could not fully capture: sensory perception, physical capabilities, environmental adaptation, neurological differences, biological weaknesses, reproductive and developmental processes, and the subjective experience of existing as that species.

Preservation The device records complete biological templates so that, even if a species went extinct, its genetic and physiological information would not be permanently lost. This dual focus—understanding life by inhabiting it and safeguarding it against disappearance—reflects the Tekniolons’ character as rigorous, experimental scientists with a strong preservationist streak.

    2. How the Glamitrix Works

The Glamitrix does not merely copy DNA or apply a cosmetic overlay. It records a species’ complete biological template and converts that template into a functional transformation state. When the user selects a stored species, the device temporarily restructures the wearer’s entire biology—anatomy, metabolism, nervous system, senses, musculature, organs, environmental adaptations, natural abilities, innate energy systems, and species-specific traits.

The result is a genuine physiological conversion. When Betsy becomes Clawdette she operates with actual Katleon physiology; when she becomes Bombshell she possesses genuine Karkin physiology; when she becomes Nebula she possesses genuine Cosmara physiology. The transformation is not a disguise.

    3. Peak Species Optimization

The Glamitrix does not produce an average member of the selected species. It generates a peak expression of that species’ natural biological potential. Strength, speed, reflexes, durability, sensory acuity, and specialized abilities are all pushed toward the upper end of what the species can naturally achieve.

Psionyx illustrates the principle clearly: most Yulnox possess telekinesis of varying individual talent, but Psionyx receives the maximum expression of Yulnox telekinetic potential. The same optimization applies across the roster. Consequently, comparisons must always be made within the constraints of the underlying species. Peak Clawdette remains stronger and faster than a typical Katleon, yet is still physically outclassed by peak Slayclops because the two species have radically different physical ceilings.

    4. Preserving the Experience of Being the Species

In addition to the body, the Glamitrix accounts for species-appropriate age presentation and gender (matching the user’s own gender). Subtle species-typical instincts and biological tendencies can influence the user without overwriting personality. Betsy remains Betsy; the device supplies the instincts and physiological drives associated with the form rather than substituting another identity.

    5. Current Transformations

Betsy’s present lineup demonstrates the device’s extreme versatility:

Pyroclast (Betsy’s favorite nickname) Actual Species: Ignisferra from the volcanic planet Ferrak.

Appearance: Voluptuous, plush hourglass build with glossy obsidian-black skin marbled by pulsing orange-red lava veins and full, heavy breasts with wide, jiggly hips. Flaming hair that flows like silk. The Glamitrix provides a daring black-and-green spandex high-cut one-piece: plunging neckline to the navel, open sides and back, with glowing green accents. Extremely skimpy, barely containing her soft, fuckable body.

No single form is optimal for every situation. The Glamitrix’s strength lies in the ability to select the appropriate specialized solution.

    6. The Prototype’s Greatest Limitation: Its Database

The Glamitrix cannot spontaneously generate forms for every species in existence. It requires a recorded biological template; scanning is therefore essential for expansion.

Certain biologies remain beyond the prototype’s current capacity. Celestial biology, for example, is sufficiently alien that the device cannot construct a viable transformation template. This is not merely a matter of power level; the systems simply cannot process the data into a stable form. A hypothetical perfected Glamitrix might eventually model such biology, but even then the resulting form would not automatically surpass an actual Celestial.

    7. Prototype vs. Hypothetical Perfected Device

Betsy’s unit is the unfinished prototype—the only one that exists. The Tekniolons originally planned further development but discontinued the project. A mature version might have featured a larger database, superior scanning and modeling, finer control, stronger optimization, fewer restrictions, and improved safety systems. Even a perfected Glamitrix, however, would remain a tool of biological specialization rather than an unrestricted “become anything and win” device. It would simply offer more sophisticated biological solutions to problems.

    8. Specialization as a Fundamental Limit

Each form retains the strengths and constraints of its species. Slayclops provides unmatched raw physical power but none of Nebula’s gravity manipulation. Bombshell offers exceptional durability but not Slayclops-level strength. Deepdive is dramatically more effective in water than on land. Nebula is among the most versatile forms, yet still has limits. The Glamitrix maximizes a species’ potential; it does not erase the underlying biological rules that define that potential.

    9. Species Outside the Current Roster

The absence of certain species (such as the Flicka) is not always a technical impossibility. In some cases the Tekniolons simply chose not to include them. Betsy could theoretically acquire additional templates by scanning new species herself. The present roster therefore represents the templates that ended up in this particular prototype, not a definitive ranking of galactic importance.

    10. Danger Through Versatility

The Glamitrix’s primary danger is not any single transformation but the capacity to rewrite the parameters of an encounter. Raw strength, extreme durability, stealth, mental dominance, environmental adaptation, destructive power, or cosmic-scale versatility can each be selected as needed. The device’s greatest asset is the ability to change the rules mid-conflict.

    11. The Ceiling

The Glamitrix amplifies species differences rather than eliminating them. Peak performance in one form does not grant the capabilities of another. Energy absorption, telekinesis, durability, and every other trait remain bounded by the biology of the selected species. The device is extraordinarily good at translating alien biology into a usable form for its user, but it cannot translate what it cannot comprehend.

    One-Sentence Summary

The Glamitrix is a unique Tekniolon prototype scientific instrument designed to preserve and understand the galaxy’s biological diversity by allowing its wearer to temporarily experience the peak biological potential of other species—gender-matched to the user—and it happens to be an exceptionally versatile survival tool currently in the sole possession of Betsy Tennyson. It's also old Tekniolon tech made way before Karthea and Keth's time.

    The Annihilator

The legendary Celestial-killer • A lost Tekniolon superweapon • One of the galaxy’s most dangerous secrets

The Annihilator is more than a weapon. It is a technological achievement so devastating that its very existence challenges the galaxy’s established order.

Created by the brilliant Tekniolons, this sleek, white-and-black blaster rifle was designed for one extraordinary purpose: to give someone the power to kill a Celestial. Celestials are among the most powerful beings in the galaxy, feared and revered as near-gods, with the strength to influence entire civilizations and the authority to govern through the Citadel.

For all their power, Celestials have one reason to fear a machine: the Annihilator.

    1. Its history — why it was created

The Annihilator was built by the Tekniolons, a species renowned for extraordinary scientific ability, advanced engineering, and an almost insatiable curiosity. They are researchers and inventors by nature, more interested in understanding the universe than conquering it.

But their curiosity has a dangerous side. Tekniolons sometimes create technologies whose consequences become clear only after the invention is complete. When they realize what they have made, they may hide it, abandon it, or regret ever building it.

The Annihilator represents perhaps the most extreme example of that pattern.

At some point in their history, the Tekniolons developed a weapon specifically intended to challenge Celestial power. The reasoning behind it was simple, even if the engineering was anything but: if the Celestials could not be meaningfully challenged by ordinary armies or conventional weapons, then someone needed to build something capable of hurting them.

The weapon was meant to put the Celestials in their place. It was not simply designed to defeat soldiers, destroy fortifications, or win a conventional battle. It was designed to overcome the galaxy's most frightening power imbalance.

Yet creating a weapon capable of killing a Celestial introduced a new problem. Such a weapon could potentially be used against the Celestials, but it could also fall into the hands of a tyrant, a mercenary, a reckless revolutionary, or someone who simply wanted to watch the galaxy burn.

The Tekniolons ultimately regretted creating it and hid it away.

Its exact location became unknown, and over time, the story of the weapon faded into rumor.

    2. Its appearance — a weapon that looks deceptively simple

The Annihilator is a sleek, blaster-style rifle, roughly the size of a machine gun. Despite its terrifying capabilities, it isn't a gigantic cannon or a battleship-sized superweapon. It is a weapon that an individual can carry and aim.

Its design is defined by a striking contrast:

    • White and black exterior: A clean, streamlined shell that reflects the Tekniolons’ advanced engineering.

    • Purple electrical energy: Violent, electricity-like purple energy radiates from the weapon, making it appear as though tremendous power is barely contained inside it.

    • Advanced internal technology: Its true complexity is concealed beneath its elegant exterior. It is a sophisticated piece of technology, not an ordinary firearm with an unusually powerful energy cell.

    • Portable form: Its compactness is part of what makes it so frightening. Something capable of threatening a Celestial can be carried by a single person.

The weapon doesn't need to look enormous to be terrifying. Its appearance communicates that it is advanced, experimental, and profoundly dangerous.

    3. What it does — destructive power on an unprecedented scale

The Annihilator is regarded as the only known weapon with enough raw destructive power to kill a Celestial. Its capabilities go far beyond ordinary military hardware.

    Add to Favorites

    Army annihilation

A single blast can destroy entire armies. Rather than simply striking one target, its electrical energy can branch between multiple targets, turning a concentrated shot into a catastrophic attack across a battlefield.

    Add to Favorites

    Complete target destruction

Victims caught in its destructive blast are reduced to ash. It doesn't merely knock opponents down or damage their armor; the weapon can eliminate them so thoroughly that conventional battlefield recovery becomes impossible.

    Add to Favorites

    Astronomical destructive potential

The Annihilator can destroy enormous meteorites. Its potential is discussed on the scale of moons and potentially beyond, although its most firmly established significance is its ability to threaten Celestials.

    Add to Favorites

    Protection for its wielder

When fired, the weapon generates an energy field that protects its user. This is an essential part of its design: the wielder is handling a discharge powerful enough to devastate enormous targets and needs protection from its effects.

The crucial limitation: it must recharge

The Annihilator is solar-powered, drawing its energy from starlight. But it cannot unleash its full destructive blast repeatedly without pause.

After each blast, it needs to recharge.

That limitation matters enormously. Its first shot may wipe out an army or threaten a Celestial, but the wielder cannot simply keep firing at that level indefinitely. Opponents who survive, evade, or exploit the recharge period may still pose a threat.

This is one reason the weapon is not an automatic guarantee of victory in a war. It is devastating, but it is not limitless.

    4. Why it is currently a myth

The Annihilator is believed to be a myth because several factors have worked together to erase it from the galaxy's collective memory.

    1. The Tekniolons deliberately hid it. Its creators understood that a weapon capable of killing Celestials could destabilize the entire galaxy if it fell into the wrong hands. Concealment was an attempt to prevent that catastrophe.

    2. There is no widely known, publicly verified example of it in use. Without reliable evidence, accounts of a handheld weapon capable of killing a Celestial sound absurd, even to people familiar with advanced alien technology.

    3. Its capabilities are almost impossible to believe. The galaxy knows Celestials as beings whose power ordinary weapons cannot meaningfully challenge. A weapon that reverses that assumption sounds more like a legend than a real invention.

    4. Time has helped bury the truth. As knowledge of its existence disappeared, the Annihilator became a rumor passed between people who might not even agree on whether it ever existed.

There is a delicious irony here: the Annihilator is not a myth because it is necessarily imaginary. It is a myth because its creators succeeded in hiding it so well that the galaxy can no longer distinguish the legend from the truth.

The weapon may be real, but knowing that it once existed is very different from knowing where it is now.

    5. Its connection to Karthea and the future

One of the most intriguing pieces of the Annihilator's story involves Karthea, a gifted Tekniolon designer at Zer0Synth who can perceive multiple timelines.

In one timeline she witnessed, the Annihilator appears at the wedding of The Mercenary and Pixel on Earth. A meteorite threatens everyone, and The Mercenary uses the weapon to save them.

That glimpse is significant for two reasons.

First, it suggests that the Annihilator has not necessarily been destroyed. It may still exist somewhere, waiting to be found or activated.

Second, it places the weapon in the hands of someone whose intentions could reshape the galaxy.

The Mercenary wants to find it, return to Earth, destroy the Citadel's army, and take control of Earth back from Citadel rule. His ambition isn't small: he wants to challenge the military power of an enormous galactic regime with a weapon that can obliterate forces far larger than any ordinary fighter could face.

But there is a difference between winning a battle and winning a war. The Annihilator requires recharging, the Citadel's forces are vast, and Celestials themselves may intervene if they learn that someone has acquired a weapon capable of killing them.

The weapon could give The Mercenary a terrifying advantage. It would not make him invulnerable, nor would it guarantee that he could overthrow the entire galactic order alone.

    6. Why the Celestials fear it

Celestials possess extraordinary abilities, including teleportation, flight, telepathy, powerful telekinesis, energy blasts, and the ability to stop time briefly. Their mental barriers are so formidable that even highly capable psychic species cannot simply enter their minds.

Their power is not just physical. It supports their political authority across the galaxy.

The Annihilator threatens that authority in a way an ordinary rebellion cannot.

A Celestial can normally confront opposition with the confidence that very few beings can truly endanger it. The Annihilator introduces a terrible exception: a sufficiently capable mortal, carrying a weapon they may not even believe exists, could potentially kill one.

    That changes the strategic equation.

    • A Celestial can no longer assume that every armed opponent is harmless.

    • The Citadel must consider the possibility that the weapon could be recovered, copied, or used in an assassination.

    • Any faction possessing credible information about its location becomes strategically important.

    • Even a single confirmed Annihilator could encourage other species to question whether Celestial dominance is inevitable.

The weapon doesn't need to defeat every Celestial in the galaxy to be politically disruptive. Its existence alone undermines the idea that Celestials are untouchable.

And because the weapon is portable, the threat is particularly unsettling. It isn't necessarily confined to a fortress that Celestials can locate and destroy. It could be carried, concealed, lost, stolen, or handed to someone they never expected to become a serious threat.

    7. Its overall significance

The Annihilator represents three major things in the galaxy.

The danger of unchecked scientific genius

The Tekniolons can build extraordinary things, but technical achievement does not automatically mean that an invention should exist. The Annihilator is their greatest example of brilliance outrunning wisdom.

A challenge to the galactic balance of power

The Citadel's authority rests partly on the Celestials' overwhelming superiority. The Annihilator introduces the possibility that this hierarchy can be challenged through technology rather than through an equally powerful species.

    The power to change history

Whoever finds it gains more than a weapon. They gain leverage over Celestials, the Citadel, and every faction that fears them. The wielder could become a liberator, a conqueror, or a threat even worse than the system they intend to overthrow.

The greatest question surrounding the Annihilator is therefore not simply whether it can kill a Celestial. It is whether anyone can be trusted with the power to do so.

The Tekniolons built it to put the Celestials in their place, then hid it because they understood that a weapon capable of ending one form of domination could enable another.

The Annihilator is the galaxy's great forbidden equalizer: a weapon created to prove that even gods can be killed, lost because its creators feared the consequences, and now remembered as a myth that could become real again.

And if The Mercenary ever finds it, the galaxy may discover that the most dangerous thing about a myth is what happens when someone finally proves it was true.

    The Mercenaries Guild

    Basic Concept

An independent intergalactic gig platform for people (and aliens) who solve problems with violence, stealth, or general chaos in exchange for credits. Completely separate from the Citadel. Operates in a legal grey area that everyone quietly tolerates because it’s useful.

Anyone with credits can post a contract. Anyone willing can become a mercenary. No citizenship required, no Citadel approval needed. Humans, K’tharr, Cyclops, and every other species the Citadel has ever met (or is currently shooting at) are free to join.

    Membership Reality

    • Open to literally anyone who creates a Merc Helper account and doesn’t immediately get the app banned for being too chaotic.
    • Humans are the newest species in the Citadel (only ten years in), so they’re still the minority and often get treated like the eager new kids. Some human mercs try to prove themselves. Others just take whatever pays.
    • Species like the K’tharr, who genuinely enjoy killing and causing mayhem, flock to the app… but most of them exclusively filter for bounty contracts. They don’t do bodyguard work, delivery runs, or “please just scare this guy a little.” They want the kill jobs.

    Merc Helper

Every mercenary is required to have an active account. No account = no contracts.

    It’s Yelp for hired guns:

    • Customers post jobs with budget, location, risk level, and whatever details they feel like sharing.
    • Mercs browse, accept, and (hopefully) complete them.
    • Afterward the customer leaves a 1–5 star rating + written review.
    • Ratings are public and very public. A high-rated merc gets steady work. A low-rated one gets side-eyed, undercut, or ignored.
    • Bounty contracts (the pure “go kill this person/thing” jobs) are a big category, especially popular with K’tharr and other violence-oriented species.

The app also handles escrow payments and keeps a running record of every completed (or spectacularly failed) job.

    The Golden Rule

A licensed mercenary may not kill another licensed mercenary.

This is the one rule the Guild actually enforces with extreme prejudice. It’s framed as both a “health code violation” (keeping the workforce intact) and a liability shield (so nobody can sue the Guild when two mercs decide to settle a personal grudge with plasma).

Break the Golden Rule and the consequences are automatic and public:

    1. Your Merc Helper account is permanently deleted.
    2. Your license is revoked on the spot.
    3. The Guild issues a personal bounty on you, because clearly you’ve gone insane.
    4. From that moment on, any licensed mercenary (or anyone else) can legally kill the “filthy traitor” under the authority of the Mercenaries Guild.

No appeals. No second chances. Just a shiny new bounty listing and a whole lot of former colleagues suddenly very interested in collecting.

    Top 10 Rankers

The current public leaderboard on Merc Helper (best to barely-in-the-top-10):

#Number 1 — 7-6-7 (Seven Six Seven) Species: Vornathi Gender: Male

Top Comment: “Hired him for a high-value recovery that three other crews already failed. He didn’t say two words the entire job, finished it in under six hours, and left the package on my desk like it was nothing. Five stars. Like an absolute machine.”

    ---

#Number 2 — The Mercenary (Jalen Smith) Species: Human Gender: Male

Top Comment: “I hired him to recover a stolen data core and spent the entire job staring at those jeans. He finished the contract in record time, barely spoke, and still somehow left me soaking through my seat. That helmet, that body, that attitude… I don’t even care about the credits anymore. I just want him to come back and ‘protect’ me again. Five stars. Please accept my next contract. Please.”

    ---

    #Number 3 — Shades Species: K’tharr Gender: Male

Top Comment: “Hired him for a ‘quiet’ elimination. He set the whole block on fire, laughed the entire time, and still somehow got every target. My ears are still ringing and my security cameras are ash, but damn if the job wasn’t done. Five stars… and I’m never hiring him for anything subtle again.”

    ---

#Number 4 — Veylith Species: Yulnox Gender: Female

Top Comment: “Hired her for a silent extraction. She never made a sound the entire time, completed the job perfectly, then sent me a 4-second clip of a depressed space oyster dancing while her broken robot voice said ‘job done. also this is important.’ Five stars. Still don’t know what her face looks like and I’m a little scared to ask.”

    ---

    #Number 5 — Ilcyra Vantari Species: K’tharr Gender: Female

Top Comment: “Hired her for a clean hit. She finished the job in under ten minutes, left zero witnesses, and then spent the next twenty minutes asking if I knew where ‘her Mercenary’ was currently working. Extremely effective. Extremely intense. Five stars… and I’m still a little scared she’ll show up at my door asking about him again.”

    ---

#Number 6 — Inibis Emberfall Species: Vexflare Gender: Female

Top Comment: “Hired her for a standard recovery job. She completed it perfectly, giggled the whole time, then spent fifteen minutes showing me her custom chibi plush of The Mercenary and asking if I thought they’d look cute together. Five stars for the work. Zero stars for the sudden existential dread.”

    ---

#Number 7 — Gareth Species: Cyclops Gender: Male

Top Comment: “Hired him for a simple protection job. He showed up with a giant purple space-dog, spent half the time yelling about feral species rights, and still somehow scared every threat into running. Five stars for the results. Lost one star because Mr. Puffy sat on my lunch.”

    ---

#Number 8 — Charlie Species: Cyclops Gender: Female

Top Comment: “Hired the power couple for a high-risk bounty. Charlie did most of the actual shooting while Gareth yelled about animal rights in the background. She also corrected me when I pronounced her chest tattoo wrong. Five stars. Extremely effective and somehow still the more reasonable one.”

    ---

#Number 9 — Shelton Species: Karkin Gender: Male

Top Comment: “Hired him for a high-risk job. He spent the whole briefing explaining how the Citadel puts mind-control jelly in mouthwash, then walked through three explosions like they were mild inconvenience. Four arms, zero chill, somehow still alive. Five stars. Still not trying the Spike Balls.”

    ---

#Number 10 — Axel Species: Axolyn Gender: Male

Top Comment: “Hired the little skateboard guy for a messy job. He got shot, stabbed, and thrown off a building… then just got back up grinning and talking about pizza. Four-and-a-half stars. Still can’t believe he’s in the top ten, but somehow he is.”

    Place in the Galaxy

The Guild doesn’t answer to the Citadel and the Citadel pretends it doesn’t exist… until a corrupt official, a desperate colony, or someone who needs dirty work done quietly opens the app.

Meanwhile the galaxy is full of bigger threats the Guild sometimes brushes against:

    • The Nova Guard (human/cyborg/android terrorists)
    • Space pirate lord Zytherax (one of the biggest open bounties in the galaxy and still very much alive)
    • The Titan Twins Eris and Kali
    • And whatever internal Citadel corruption is currently paying the best rates

Most Guild mercs stay far away from those names unless the credits are ridiculous and the rating boost would be legendary.

    Hollow Point

A massive independent bar and lounge carved into a giant hollowed-out asteroid drifting in neutral space. No Citadel jurisdiction, no planetary government, just the Guild’s unofficial off-the-clock headquarters. Everyone knows where it is. Some people even vacation there.

    The Place

Hollow Point is an old mining asteroid that got gutted, reinforced, and turned into a multi-level den of bad decisions and good stories. Gravity is artificial and occasionally glitchy. The outer rock is still rough and cratered; the inside is all neon, metal, and whatever furniture has survived the last bar fight.

    • Lower levels: Loud, crowded, and chaotic. Long bars, sticky floors, weapon lockers that nobody really uses, floating tables, and a permanent haze of smoke, steam, and whatever the K’tharr are exhaling. Many K’tharr prefer these levels, which regularly devolve into pure chaos. A few Cyclops and Enforcer Droids are permanently stationed down here specifically to keep the K’tharr mercenaries in line.
    • Mid levels: Slightly calmer booths and private corners for actual conversation. A handful of Humans, Cyclops, and Yulnox tend to linger here, usually minding their own business.
    • Upper levels: Quieter, more exclusive. The very top chamber is unofficial Top Ten territory. People still go up there, but they usually behave (or at least pretend to).

Sometimes the mid and upper levels get invaded by Flicka streamers trying to film everything for their vlogs and brand deals. Most regulars treat them like mild weather — annoying, but temporary.

    Screens & Atmosphere

The walls are covered in screens of every size. They don’t just loop Merc Helper rankings and galactic news. This is a place to relax, so the feeds are mixed:

    • Live Merc Helper leaderboards and recent contract footage (for the workaholics)
    • Intergalactic news and politics (for the ones who can’t turn it off)
    • Popular Flicka-Dramas (F-Dramas) and other species’ soap operas
    • Music videos, sports, old Earth movies, reality shows, cooking competitions, and whatever trashy trash is currently trending
    • One screen in the corner that somehow always ends up playing the dumbest 1-star reviews for comedy

You can walk in after a bloody contract and catch the latest episode of whatever emotional Flicka series is currently destroying half the galaxy, while the guy next to you argues about a bounty and someone else is crying over a slow-burn romance subplot.

    Drinks & House Vibe

The bar carries a ridiculous range of drinks — common galactic standards, rare Outer Rim specialties, and more than a few that are straight-up illegal under Citadel jurisdiction. Nobody asks questions as long as you can pay.

The staff are mostly retired mercs or people who just like the danger. They only really enforce two rules:

    1. No killing inside the rock.
    2. If you start a fight, take it to the outer surface or pay for the damage.

Hollow Point is public, a little famous, occasionally on the news, and the closest thing most Guild members have to a regular hangout that isn’t an app notification.

    The Outer Rim

The Outer Rim is the vast, poorly charted fringe of the galaxy that even the Citadel knows almost nothing about. What little information exists is incomplete, secondhand, or deliberately obscured. It is the origin of the rarest and least-understood species—beings that appear only as isolated individuals rather than populations, with no reliable records of their homeworlds, biology, or culture.

To most Citadel citizens, anyone from the Outer Rim feels inherently strange: their appearances, mannerisms, and ways of thinking sit just outside the familiar. The region itself is widely regarded as wilder and more lawless than Citadel space, a place where the usual rules simply do not reach. Those who come from it rarely speak of home, and the few who do tend to say very little.
