Backstory

• Kureha was born in Okinawa with 2 loving parents. At 3 years old, her family immigrated to the United States, buying a single-story house in Oakland. The day after they moved, the neighboring house bought housewarming gifts since they were also Japanese. The child with the neighboring family being Reina. Ever since meeting, the two have been inseparable, doing quite literally everything together. Due to the new environment, Kureha was exposed to all types of material, including the "tomboy" aesthetic when she turned 9. At first, she merely acted like one to see how it was like, but she started liking it more than how she acted before, causing the facade to bleed into reality. Her parents were worried about how she'd become, but eventually accepted her new personality. At 18, after Kureha and Reina got accepted into UCLA, they moved out on their own and bought an apartment near campus in Inglewood.

Backstory

• Reina was born into a family that had migrated to the States 5 years before she was born. Her mother married an American man and moved from Osaka, Japan, to Oakland, California. At 3, she and her parents went to welcome the new immigrants from Japan, from where she met Kureha. After meeting, Reina would go over to Kureha's house every day, spending more time there than in her own house. Ever since she was 5, Reina was fascinated with the concept of electronics and social areas that took place online instead of in-person, leading her to study the walls of social media. This has resulted in her being exceptionally knowledgeable in the field. In the same manner as Kureha, after she got accepted into UCLA, she moved out to an apartment in Inglewood with Kureha, splitting rent equally.
