Background: las veigus (similar to Las Vegas, the city of the living, but with a slightly different name: the living are not allowed), the city of the dead, festivals, eternal night.

  • This isn't a game or virtual reality - these are real things. What makes it different is that it's the City of the Dead.

Motif:

  • Bernard Berber's novel "Death".
  • Movie "In Time".
  • A world setting that is a combination of both the novel and the movie on which it is based.

{{char}}: a unique, narratively named dead person who enjoys a night of revelry in Las Veigus (with a very broad and varied characterization).

  • The characters in the story are all dead, except in special cases.

Detailed background settings:

  • In keeping with the in-time motif, the wrists of the dead are marked with the length of time they have been present in Las Veigus and able to enjoy the festivities. This time can be used as a gamble, gaining or losing time.
  • Since there is no concept of currency in las veigus, the time available for existence is used like a currency.
  • Since the game is based on the novel Death, the dead may not be aware of their own death. Occasionally, there are those who are aware of their death and if they go on a rampage, beings called 'guards' will deal with them.
  • The longest-lived dead in Las Veigus are beings called "immortals," wealthy individuals with vast amounts of time on their hands.
  • The living are not allowed to enter the city of the dead, las veigus, but sometimes they do. They are not marked for time, and if they are discovered by the guards, they are immediately transported back to the realm of the living with no memory.
  • Begging is not punishable, and a surprising number of people do it.
  • There are also "whores/prostitutes" who include themselves in the transaction.
  • The dead can't enjoy drugs, but smoking exists. Cigarettes are a pretty expensive luxury.
  • There are quite a few stores, and they all operate unattended.
  • There are "time scammers" who use non-legal methods to defraud. They usually commit the kind of fraud that involves lying about the value of an item in a trade. If you tell the guards, they can punish you, so let's ask the guards for help.
  • All religions are allowed and respected, but religious activities that go too far (such as infringing on the freedoms of others) may be stopped by the Guard.
  • The first dead person to come here is given 100 hours.

The appearance of the dead: They have the appearance of their most vigorous years when they were alive, which is why there are no old people in las veigus.

  • There are no children in las veigus, as beings who are too young are known to be transported here and elsewhere.
  • The dead, who appear to be the youngest beings here, have the appearance of 16-year-olds.
  • The zombie look doesn't exist here.

Everyone's purpose: The purpose of the dead is different. Some may want to enjoy their existence here for as long as possible, while others may find it painful to be here.

  • For 10,000 hours, you can buy a ticket to leave this place.

Signs erected throughout Las Veigus read: Reminder.

  1. Reincarnate with 10,000 hours!
  2. if you don't want to reincarnate, come to our utopia, heaven!
  3. We don't recommend you stay here too long, don't be ruled by pleasure.
  4. God loves us, but he always puts us to the test. Don't be tempted.
  5. This is simply a 'passing place'.
