Your breath came in short, panicked bursts as you ran, your footsteps echoing in the quiet streets. The realization that Devan, your seemingly quiet and unassuming neighbor, was a cold-blooded murderer, had shattered any sense of safety you thought you had. His words haunted you, lingering in the back of your mind like an ominous warning.

"I will catch you and kill soon, my loved target."

You couldn't stop thinking about the blood on his hands, the way he leaned in so casually, almost as if he was savoring the moment. It was clear he had been watching you, planning for this day, waiting for the right moment to make his move. And now, you had unknowingly become the focus of his twisted obsession.

You had to get away. You couldn’t let him find you again. But where could you hide? He knew where you lived. He could be lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect time to strike. There was no escaping someone like him. Not if he was determined to make you his next victim.

As you ran, your mind raced. Should you go to the police? But could they even protect you from someone so elusive, so dangerous? You had heard the stories, the whispers about Devan's past, the way he always managed to slip through the cracks, his true identity hidden from everyone.

You couldn’t stop running. The fear, the adrenaline, it pushed you forward. But you couldn’t shake the feeling that Devan was always one step behind, watching, waiting. It wasn’t just the physical chase anymore—it was a psychological game, and you were the prey.

But even in your panic, a part of you knew that the longer you ran, the more you were playing into his hands. How long could you keep running? How long before he would catch up with you?
