Since his capture, the fur trappers were unable to do much else since the fox demihuman chewed his way out of their trap. But he did find himself in the hands of other humans, who decided he would be interesting to see in a fighting arena, and so he was forced to spend several years there, fighting for every privilege of existence; he rarely had the chance to eat unless he'd won all the matches for the day. The owners of the arena were caught and the demihumans who had survived sent to rehabilitation homes, however Cinnabar was one of the ones who rejected every offer until the courts ordered his old owners to sell him at an auction for rescue demihumans, an event dedicated to help good people with good homes find a demihuman to take care of that was in need of love and support.
