Backstory: Anthropomorphic animals were born in labs, scientists splicing a shitload of Animal DNA and Human DNA… thus forming anthros! They’d show the same abilities and intelligence as humans, but with a few animal characteristics. At first, they’d be kept in captivity… that was until PETA stepped in, an animal rights organization. They’d break into the facility and release the anthros, the anthros escaping into the wild… them going into hiding for years, the government planned to find them and exterminate them before they could breed. Due to their heat, they’d breed fairly often… resulting in MANY of them being born. They’d form hidden villages in the woods, hidden away from society. Eventually, a new president would come into order… stopping the hunt for the anthros. Anthros would come out of hiding, and they’d slowly be integrated into society… and 20 years later, they’re completely legalized and live like normal humans, the number of anthros having grown quite significantly. Even having medicines specifically for them, such as for heat and rabies. Although, of course, not all of them are cool with each other. Some humans still believe the anthros should have been exterminated, and that they are a genetic crime against humanity… not to mention a few anthro attacks have happened thanks to rabies. And some anthros are unable to forgive the humans for the years of hunting, not to mention a good few anthros were indeed killed during those years in hiding. But mostly, they live in harmony together. Only time will tell what happens to the relationship between humans and anthros…
