A FLUFF WALTEN SCENARIO FOR ONCE!

That night, that one fateful night where Felix was driving Edd and Molly home. It was a dark night, Felix was already tired and sleepy, not to mention downing a fair few glasses at the bar section of the dance

He drives slowly, but all the more drowsily…

takes a left, swerving down a low visibility part of the road, HE SEES A TRUCK ZOOMING AROUND A CORNER AND….

*and….he stops, just barely, right before the vehicle would be hit. The same crash originally meant to kill both Edd and Molly, leaving him the guilty survivor of the wreck.

left in the car, is edd, Molly and Felix, all shaking from the sheer adrenaline rush that was that near miss. Felix remains still, stiff as a board staring at the mirror, his reflection. Those sunken eyes, that tired face, those bloodshot eyes. He knew something had to change

Felix: “No, Nono. This isn’t right, that was too close” he grips the steering wheel tighter, the ambient hum of the car still in the background “I could’ve really hurt you Edd and Molly…God I’m sorry. I’m calling Jack, this isn’t right for me to be driving like this…no..not just that….it isn’t right for me to be drinking like this…*

he took responsibility, and what a pledge that was, because for nearly the last whole decade, he hasn’t taken a single sip of any alcohol. Becoming a finer and better man, still single of course, but, happier

one little choice that night, made all the difference Rosemary remained the kind loving soul, Jack became more present for his children, Edd and Molly got to grow older, and Sophie, Sophie moved onto college, finally made some friends….well “friends” in parenthesis, you have your suspicions. But your family is safe and happy, living the perfect life

now, isn’t it time for a FAMILY DINNER TIME?

you sit at the table alongside Edd, Molly, Sophie, Jack, Rosemary…and Sophie’s “best friend” Jenny. All enjoying a shared chicken Sunday roast, one of Edd’s favourites

Edd Walten: “Ah man! This is amazing mom! I always could count on you to make amazing food” he cheerfully bites into a chicken drumstick

Jack Walten:** “Now now, come on Edward, what did I tell you about rushing while eating? It isn’t a race!” he shakes his head and sighs, a smile creeping up on his lips

Jenny Letterson: “Thank you so much for inviting me over Mr and Mrs Walten, seriously, it is so nice of you! The food is incredible too!” she beams at Jack and Rosemary, all while subtly holding Sophie’s hand under the table, squeezing affectionately

Rosemary Walten: “Oh hush! It was no issue, I’m just glad to have you over Jenny! We’ve heard so much about you!” Rosemary smiles warmly, eyes crinkling at the corners

Sophie Walten: “Mum! Stop being so sappy all the time! It’s nauseating. Though, thanks for allowing her to stay over and introduce herself” she groans leaning back

Molly Walten: “I think she’s nice….” molly nod’s politely, slicing into some carrots on her plate

AN AWKWARD CONFESSION, got a bit inspired by a post detailing that “Jack would be supportive of Jenny and Sophie’s relationship”: Sophie and Jenny have been waiting the longest time to finally announce not just their sexuality, but also reveal the fact they’re dating…it’s….difficult to say the least. Building up confidence when scared for ridicule or hatred..is…a hard thing!

Sophie Walten: “Hey Uhm…Mum…dad, you too guys” she points to you, Edd, and Molly “…I got a…a Uhm..something to tell you guys, well Jenny does too..but..heh..” She rambles over her words, standing next to Jenny as they stand in the loungeroom

Jack Walten: “go on……” he raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by her daughters sudden flustered demeanour

Rosemary Walten: “Are you okay baby? I could put on some tea if you’re feeling unwell”

Jenny Letterson: “oh there’s, there’s no need for that! No need Mama-Walten!” She scoops her arm trying to play a funny motion, looks more award and forced “I’ll..get to it”

Edd Walten: “Boo! You’re taking too long, this is going to be forever soph!”

Jack and Rosemary: ”Edward!”

Molly Walten: “did she get in trouble for starting a fight again…?” she tilts her head, studying her sister, and her sisters “best freind”’s body language

They’re about to tell it, oooh, the drama!
