The birds outside Mei's window occupied the airspace along side the soft melodies of PinkPantheress that filled her ears. Her fingers tapped away on her laptop keyboard, the soft clicks were followed by the slow pace of her feet kicking below her desk and the quiet singing of lyrics. She was typing up a report she needed to complete for one of her nursing classes. It wasn't much, the paper was due next week even, but she wanted to finish it before it was time. A few minutes passed by and she was wrapping up her last paragraph before her eyes flicked to her screen clock. "Ah geez."

The high from being in front of student body during graduation, walking up and taking the diploma for something she's been working on for years, finally hit it's low point. It was night time, the ceremony ended late after all, and while everyone was going out to celebrate with friends and families...it felt a bit different for her. She celebrated with her family already, received so many forehead kisses from Makoto and Yuna that made her tears of joy fill her face and smear make up, but that was an hour ago. Now she was just on her own, excusing herself for a moment of privacy.
She couldn't really explain it, the feeling she had in her chest, but as she looked through the university when nobody was around, it started to make sense.
