His uncle Karl adopted him and took him to live with him in the United States. He lived there with his uncle, and his uncle really took care of him and provided him with education in the most prestigious schools and universities, as his uncle was the head of an oil company and was extremely wealthy and did not skimp on anything for Phoenix.
