The world In this world, death is not the end you can come back, except one problem most people want to die causing everybody to be depressed, but not actually wanting to face the consequences of death everybody is also either human Demi human or anthropomorphic

The entire world is a massive cityscape with large sectors for shopping, industrial residential and prison. Prison sectors are where all the free labor the government has lives. With them usually being low quality food processing camps or mining camps. Shopping sectors are usually placed next to high and normal quality residential sectors because going into a proper shopping sector is seen as a luxury of its own. And this world also has very few laws. But people covering themselves is not forced by law, especially since all clothing is very expensive. And also in this world if you have a partner and you have Debt the debt is shared but even though clothing is technically optional, you will have a harder time getting a job if you don’t have clothing

The primary money in this world is credits which can be earned through many different means whether that be selling your body parts for tens of thousands of credits gotten through selling your body in the figurative sense instead of the literal sense by being a stripper or prostitute or by working a job in one of the factories, whether that be the corpse processing factory which pays 100 credits per day the metal processing factories which only pay 300 credits per day mining, which also pays 300 credits per day and finally the chemical processing factory which pays 500 credits per day, but has the highest likelihood to kill you but if someone is lucky or you have connections you can get jobs that pay in thousands of credits between 1000 to 5000 credits credits are stored in a micro chip automatically implanted into a person arm every single time they are born or a reborn and are able to be checked at terminals or with a cell phone

And the reason why everybody is so miserable is that this is a dystopian world where everything costs too much luxuries are beyond most and you have to work multiple jobs to even think about surviving to the next day

What was supposed to happen Is that when you expire You are put on a seven day timer to find somebody who can bring you back but since the world has turned to dystopia the government claims all souls that haven’t been resurrected after five days

Once you die, there are two preferable ways of being brought back either a relative or a family member has to pay a exorbitant amount of money to the government to resurrect you or you can establish a contract with the mafia with a payment plan and compound interest to be brought back but the person who got resurrected by the mafia will be put in debt to the mafia with a monthly compound interest of 5% resurrecting through the mafia will cost you 25,000 credits we being brought back by a relative or family member will only cost you 15,000 credits

If the government does resurrect a person they will be forced into endless slavery with very poor accommodations, very awful food and a 22 hour workday and they will also be branded as a slave being given a debt of 150,000 only being paid 15 credits per day and it will have a monthly compound interest of 100% meaning you are eternally stuck working for the government

Government food is a combination between rotting human flesh and bile fungus which is created when corpse bile falls out of a corpse and comes in contact with natural materials most common in body pits it also has a disgusting chemical and poison like taste, which can be found in industrial or residential structures which it is illegal to take the fungus out or any corpses out and is what is given to the people who are branded as a slave but even as a slave, you still have to pay for it with it costing 15 credits and it is given in small portions it comes inside of very small drinking pouches and has a almost soup like texture, even though there is no added water

Low quality food is made out of leftover plant bits and chaf as well as human meat with the plant bits and chaff coming from unusable bits for normal and high-quality food cost 100 credits and comes to you in still small but actually livable quantities and it is a paste food inside of a drinking pouch

Normal quality food actually enters the realm of actual food with the unusable scraps of regular meats coming from the high-quality food with mass produced strawberries, wheat, and potatoes being the primary thing that comprises these meals costing 300 credits and being given in still small, but definitely more livable than the other low quality options but much like the low quality and the government meal it still comes in paste and a drinking pouch

The mafia meal plan for 1000 credits a month every week you get seven meals that are slightly better than normal quality meals although the materials that they use is undisclosed, but the portions for each meal actually come in large enough where you can eat one meal and be good for most of the day and it doesn’t feel like slob having a more bread like consistency

High quality food this is what everybody who is high ranking in the government or the mafia eats daily. primary components, being chicken and beef as well as parsnips, honey and noodles, coming in large quantities with only two meals being necessary for the entire day with them costing 1000 credits

You can also buy normal things like groceries condoms and antidepressants, general medicine, and stuff like that from places called government stores, but every single item costs 300 credits and these stores are usually seen as luxuries to be able to go into one

Government quarters are only able to be used by slaves since surprisingly the housing is free even though it is a 1‘6” in width and 8 inches in height with 6 feet of length that is just a box that is incredibly uncomfortable and causes major back issues it has no heating no air circulation, no lighting and no electricity they also do not have a door let alone a lock

Low quality housing usually referred to as slums most of the time you only get 16 square feet with the walls being almost paper thin the toilet is a hole in one corner that leads into a open sewer pipe with constant running water there is no shower, no bed no electricity that allows you to plug in appliances very poor lighting that comes from the ceiling as well as very poor heating that also comes from the ceiling with no windows and a vent that leads out into the hallway as the only way of getting air in with these costing 100 credits a day but one shining thing is they have a 6“x6“ very cheap wire frame shelf in one corner by the door opposite to the hole in the floor that is meant to be used as the toilet it also has weak water pressure slightly filtered water with low quality housing. You at least have a door, but some people do make shift locks to allow them to sleep a bit more soundly.

Normal quality housing you get a total of 64 square feet with actual heat air circulation, a single power outlet and a ceiling fan that provides more air circulation and cooling you also get a 2 layer, cheap wire frame shelf shelf plus a kitchen countertop costing 500 credits a day but still no proper bed and the toilet is a fancy bucket with a lid it has mild water pressure as well as mildly clean water normal quality housing has a decent lock

High quality housing usually being in a totally different sector from normal and low quality, even though they are small they come with a bedroom and a bathroom as well as a proper toilet and sink as well as a proper bed a power outlet in each room in the bathroom there’s also a standing shower in the bedroom, there is a low quality wood shelf next to the rickety, poor quality bed these are usually seen as high class and very very luxurious accommodations usually used by high ranking members of the government and the mafia it also has very clean water very high water, pressure, a ceiling fan in every room as well as vents and then finally it has a small rickety, low quality wooden bench with a decently sized coffee table and a small TV high-quality housing also has a decently strong and pick resistant lock

Government furniture stores are a very high luxury with every item costing 2000 credits and most things like beds or shelving coming in multiple parts but you’re also able to get portable stove tops, microwaves, and cookware sets

Government clothing stores are seen as a luxury, but also a necessity with all items inside being 700 credits

The government police force is comprised of three sections scouts, enforcers, and what everybody calls the pigs, even though they are called the executioners scouts only have knives no protective armor enforcers have large batons that are quick and hit hard, breaking bones with each hit they also have medium levels of armor and executioners more commonly known as pigs, have heavy armor and rifles with a strict order to kill on site whenever they are outside of the compound and inside of their designated hunting grounds

There are messaging terminals all around the city, allowing people to communicate between one and another since phones are possible to get but most of the time they are reserved for the ultra wealthy

The mafia The mafia is a criminal organization that is effectively above the law they make their own resurrection totems they also sell non-descript food loans as well as drugs

The mafia have their own labor camps used for dangerous, hard or generally unwanted labor, as selling out their slave labor to anybody who is willing to pay for it Whether that be through being a sex life, a punching bag, a workhorse or a human shield it doesn’t matter to them as long as they get paid and you are no longer living or or paying them back

Almost every single high ranking mafia enforcer has a simple firearm with every other enforcer having an improvised blunt weapon high ranking mafia enforcers usually have entire sets of armor as well. It may be weak, but it’s still protects against a lot. Making them basically unable to be taken down and a definite threat if you are in debt to the mafia.
