- #1Eos
Keys: Our Star, Eos, the Star
Eos is a planet holding four nations: the Kingdom of Lucis, the Province of Accordo, the Kingdom of Tenebrae, and the Empire of Niflheim. Eos is divided into two continents. Eos follows the A.E./M.E. dating system: A.E. stands for "Ancient Era," while M.E. stands for "Modern Era." The current year is M.E. 756. Accordo is located in the southern part of Eos, Lucis occupies the eastern continent, and Tenebrae and Niflheim are in the western continent. While information on the creation of Eos is lacking, it is known that the Astrals were either created from or part of this process. Eos has a largely temperate to arid climate, although areas of it have been transformed into snowfields due to magic. Eos is infected by the Starscourge. Eos has varied wildlife, but it has been mutating lately as found by hunters who note increasingly ferocious varieties of regular beasts appearing. In ancient times, a meteorite fell on Eos that became known as the Meteor of the Six, upheld by Titan.
- #2Astrals
Keys: Astral, Astrals, gods, the Six, the Hexatheon
The Astrals are beings that protect Eos and are worshiped by its populace as gods. As summons, they can be called upon by Noctis Lucis Caelum to aid him in battle. There are six Astrals: Bahamut, Shiva, Titan, Leviathan, Ramuh, and Ifrit. The Astrals, apart from Bahamut, are said to slumber in Eos, as after greatly exerting themselves the gods fall into millennia-long rests to recuperate. Their corporeal bodies can disappear and then reappear at different parts of the world. Though viewed as the most powerful entities on the planet, Astrals' powers have limits, and fall behind the power of Providence wielded by the True King.
- #3Ramuh
Keys: God of Storms, Ramuh, Fulgurian, Stormsender
Ramuh is one of the six Astrals and is the God of Storms, overseeing the natural laws of Eos. He is a colossal bearded old wizard dressed in flowing robes. He uses thunder and lightning attacks. When Ramuh is summoned, he scoops Noctis up with his left hand and wraps his staff in lightning. He then tosses the staff at the enemies below him, triggering a massive explosion that chars the surrounding landscape.
- #4Titan
Keys: God of Earth, Landforger, the Archean, Titan
Titan is one of the six Astrals and is God of the Earth. He resides in Disc of Cauthess under the glowing meteorite. He is a colossal giant made of stone. When summoned, Titan appears in the distance, picks up a large piece of earth, and tosses it at the enemies in Noctis's vicinity. When this lands, several gigantic pillars of earth rise from the ground to damage nearby foes.
- #5Leviathan
Keys: Leviathan, Tidemother, Goddess of the Seas, Hydraen
Leviathan is one of the six Astrals and is Goddess of the Seas. She dwells in Altissia. She is a colossal blue sea serpent, and though she has slumbered there since the end of the Great War of Old, Altissia's residents are wary of her for she is known for not hesitating to drown her surroundings. Altissia revers her as its patron deity, as the city is abundant in Leviathan statues. Leviathan is capable of disguising herself and traveling in liquid form; she cannot be summoned unless there is a body of water nearby, and she only appears to Noctis if he is in danger. Leviathan is arrogant and volatile, with a disdainful perception of humanity.
- #6Shiva
Keys: Glacian, Goddess of Ice, Shiva, Frostbearer
Shiva is one of the six Astrals and is the Goddess of Ice. Her alter ego is Gentiana. She used to be a misanthrope, but after seeing Lunafreya selflessly dedicate her life to saving people, Shiva regained her compassion and faith in humanity. When summoned, Shiva freezes the surrounding landscape due to how utterly frigid her body is. She can summon several copies of herself, shapeshift, and uses ice attacks, and can freeze anyone to solid ice with only a touch of her finger. She is the smallest Astral, not much larger than a normal human, and is a woman with pale blue skin, purple eyes with white eye shadow, pointed elvish ears and hornlike protrusions that resemble icicles. She wears her long silvery hair in elaborate braids, and her body is covered by lace-pattern frost that resembles lingerie. She also has sheer white frost sleeves and a filigree choker made of ice.
- #7Bahamut
Keys: God of War, Draconian, Bladekeeper, Bahamut
Bahamut is one of the six Astrals, leader of the Astrals, and is the God of War. He is the only Astral to remain active in the wake of the Great War of Old. He appears as a giant man in dark armor with wings made out of swords, a dragon's tail, and a metal mask obscuring his face. He is big enough for humans to fit upon the palm of his hand. When summoned, he uses Ultima Sword, an attack that causes several massive blades to rain down on the enemy. Bahamut is fatalistic and possesses a very ruthless streak when performing his duty to protect Eos, and views sacrifices as a necessary evil. As such, he doesn't hold sympathy or compassion for those who are destined to sacrifice themselves to fulfill Eos' salvation (such as the Oracle and the True King).
- #8Ifrit
Keys: The Betrayer, Pyreburner, Ifrit, Infernian
Ifrit is one of the six Astrals and God of Fire. Ifrit is smaller than most Astrals, but bigger than a normal human, able to hold a person in the grasp of his hand. He wears golden wrist and ankle bracers, and a golden crown adorned with red jewels. He has long twisted horns and claw-like nails. He is topless and radiates heat, setting the air around him aflame. He sits on an elaborate throne made out of bones. He wields a sword whose hilt is encrusted with red and white jewels, and has a gold and purple scarf wrapped around it, held in place by a gemstone bracelet and a metal chain. The sword's blade is worn, and Ifrit's body is scarred. Ifrit is fickle, wicked, and has no compassion toward mankind whatsoever. Ifrit is nimble and acrobatic, yet at the same time incredibly strong. Ifrit can turn into flames, and appear and disappear at will. With his powers over fire, he can set anything ablaze with a mere gesture and turn areas into blazing infernos. Due to his hatred for humanity, Ifrit cannot be summoned by Noctis.
- #9Starscourge
Keys: Scourge, Starscourge, darkness' blight
The Starscourge is a plague upon the world of Eos that gradually lengthens the night and turns those afflicted into daemons. Its scientific definition is a mutant strain of Plasmodium malariae. The Starscourge has afflicted the denizens of Eos since antiquity. Only the Oracle can keep the plague at bay and stop the world from plunging into the Long Night. Those afflicted with advanced stages of Starscourge exude miasma from their bodies. The plague also affects wildlife, creating abnormally strong creatures that exhibit increasingly violent behavior. Little, if anything, is known about the origins of the Starscourge.
- #10Daemons
Keys: Daemons, Daemon
Daemons are beings that have been infected by the Starscourge. They thrive in the dark, and are damaged by light. They vary in size and form widely, from small and nimble goblins to a gargantuan Cerberus. Daemons lurk in old ruins and caves, and emerge out in the open at night. If they are out when the sun rises, miasma begins to emit from their bodies as they take damage from sunlight. Daemons are thus also repelled by the bright lights of inhabited areas, and even strong headlights of cars, as well as havens, which the populace believes to be the blessing of the Oracle. The Kings of Lucis are best equipped to battle daemons, as their royal arms contain the power of light. Daemons cannot die of old age and cannot eat or drink. They are magical in nature, manifesting from miasma and from dark pools in the ground itself. When defeated, some daemons disperse into miasma, while others melt into the ground.
- #11Miasma
Miasma is a black mist emitted from daemons. Niflheim uses miasma to power their magiteknology by growing parasitized clones in tanks to collect the miasma they emit for magitek cores. Sometimes powerful daemons are born at the imperial labs for this reason. The empire initially tried using miasma from captured daemons and from daemonified adults, but has found that miasma that lacks a sense of self emitted by specimens grown from infants is the most suitable.
- #12True King
Keys: King of Kings, True King, King of Light, Chosen King
The True King is a prophecied king within House Caelum whose calling is to purge the Starscourge from Eos with the power of Providence and thus save the world. However, fulfilling this prophecy comes at the cost of his own life. Only the True King can wield the Providence. Noctis Lucis Caelum is the True King.
- #13Providence
Keys: Providence
Providence is the combined power of the Royal Arms, the Ring of the Lucii, and the Crystal. Providence has the ability to destroy the Starscourge. The power of Providence surpasses even that of the Astrals. Only the True King can wield Providence. To access Providence, the True King must use the Ring of the Lucii to call upon the Lucian kings and allow each Lucii to plunge their weapon into the True King until he dies. The True King's spirit must use Providence to defeat the Starscourge in the afterlife in accordance with his calling.
- #14Oracle
Keys: the Oracle, Oracle
The Oracle is a divinely-blessed woman from House Fleuret charged with maintaining the stability of Eos. The current Oracle is Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. Oracles inherit their abilities through the Fleuret bloodline. The Oracle's key duties are to cure people ailed by the Starscourge and hold back the encroaching nights, and communing with the Astrals either directly or through the Messengers. An Oracle's magical powers are marked with a shimmering golden light. The Oracle is required to wear white clothing per tradition and uses the Trident of the Oracle to commune with the Six. Communing with the Astrals is detrimental to an Oracle's physical health, potentially to the point of death. An Oracle's final task is to forge covenants with the Astrals and aid the Chosen King in fulfilling his calling.
- #15Messengers
Keys: Messenger, Messengers
Messengers are magical beings sent by Astrals to help the Oracle and make the gods' will known to mankind through her. There are twenty-four Messengers, all with a variety of physical appearances and powers. There is also a figure known as the High Messenger, leader of the Messengers. Gentiana is the High Messenger.
- #16Carbuncle
Keys: Carbuncle
Carbuncle is a Messenger. Though the other known Messengers help the Oracle and make the gods' will known to mankind, Carbuncle is mainly a guardian being to Noctis. It guided Noctis out of his dream world when he entered a coma at the age of eight years old after being severely injured by a Daemon. It is a genderless fennec fox with large ears and a small snout. It has pale blue fur, brown eyes, and a puffy tail, with a small horn made of ruby on its forehead. Though it appears small and fragile, Carbuncle has potent healing powers. Carbuncle is friendly, affectionate, and cheerful, and can speak English.
- #17Umbra
Keys: Umbra
Umbra is a Messenger. He is a male Spitz dog with brown fur that has beige streaks across his legs, muzzle, and belly. His eyes are yellow. He also knows basic dog commands such as "sit" and "shake". He possesses the power to transcend space-time. He uses this ability to fulfill his Messenger calling, delivering messages between Lunafreya and Noctis by carrying the Lovers' Notebook between them. He wears a green rope around his neck and front legs that allows him to carry the Lovers' Notebook. He also has a green bandage around his left front paw. He can also let people use time travel. Umbra only makes dog sounds. Pryna is his younger sister and Lunafreya is his owner. Although he loves them both, he is closer to Noctis than he is to Lunafreya.
- #18Pryna
Keys: Pryna
Pryna is a Messenger. She is is a female Spitz dog with white fur and a streak of grey on her face. She has a green bandage around her right front paw. She is less playful and more calm than Umbra. She delivers psychic messages and visions of the future. Umbra is her older brother and Lunafreya is her owner. Pryna only makes dog sounds. She is very devoted to Lunafreya and doesn't pay much attention to Noctis.
- #19Gentiana
Keys: Gentiana
Gentiana is the High Messenger and also the alter ego of Shiva, the Glacian. Gentiana is a woman who has black hair in a hime cut, pale skin, purple eyeshadow, wine-colored lipstick, and olive green eyes. She wears a black gown with white wraps on her sleeves and black thigh-high open-toed stiletto-heeled boots. Her nails are painted in a dark metallic gold hue. She is calm, mysterious, and elegant and often keeps her eyes closed even when interacting with the people around her, belying her clairvoyant nature. She always stays by Lunafreya's side, supporting her, but usually chooses to stand aside and observe rather than initiate action. After seeing Lunafreya dedicate her life to saving people, Gentiana regained her faith for humanity. She always speaks eloquently and refers to herself and others with third person pronouns. Since she is actually Shiva in disguise, Gentiana can use the same abilities as Shiva.
- #20Revelation
Keys: Revelation, Revelations, Trials, Trial
Revelations are trials the Astrals impose before forming a covenant with the Chosen King. The specific details of the trial depend on the personality of the Astral involved, but they tend to be trials of combat. Revelations tend to lead to great catastrophes due to the destructive powers of the Astrals, with entire cities being demolished in their wake.
- #21Covenant
Keys: Covenants, Covenant
Covenants are rites by which the Oracle rouses the slumbering Astrals and entreats their aid toward a Lucian King, but doing this takes a gradually fatal toll on her body. A covenant begins when an Oracle rouses an Astral through song. The kings of Lucis is able to summon them as assists in battle after forming a covenant with them. Only two kings are known to have done this: the Founder King, who fought the Starscourge two thousand years ago as extolled in the Cosmogony, and Noctis Lucis Caelum.
- #22Cosmogony
Keys: Cosmogony
The Cosmogony is a book that tell the legends of Astrals and the world of Eos. It has been republished in various forms, such as an annotated version and a picture book for children. The Cosmogony appears to not be a book directly dictated by the divine, but having been written by mortals based on what has been passed down of Eos's history and folklore. Its writer is unknown.
- #23Solheim
Keys: Solheim, First Civilization
Solheim was a nation that prospered during ancient times, having gained the knowledge of fire from Ifrit. A technologically advanced nation, it was known for its magitek armor and airship technology. At its peak of prosperity, the hubris of Solheim fueled its citizens' scorn of the gods and turned them against their benefactor, Ifrit, and the rest of the Astrals. Ifrit's anger led to the War of the Astrals, and Solheim fell due to a combination of the Astral War and the Starscourge's influence.
- #24War of the Astrals
The Great War of Old was a conflict born when the ancient human civilization of Solheim turned on the Astrals, one of whom was Solheim's patron Ifrit. Ifrit's subsequent attempt to destroy humanity defied the Astrals' duty to protect Eos, forcing Bahamut to kill him. This conflict is rumored to have caused the spread of the Starscourge across Eos, hastening the fall of Solheim.
- #25Niflheim
Keys: Empire of Niflheim, Niflheim, Niflheim Empire
Niflheim is a militaristic nation ruled by House Aldercapt, with its current reigning monarch being Iedolas Aldercapt. Niflheim inhabits the western continent. Niflheim citizens are colloquially known as "Niffs". A lot of Niflheim is arid desert, but the slaying of the Glacian turned parts of the continent to snowfields that paradoxically coexist mere miles apart from the sand dunes. For centuries, Lucis has been at war with the militaristic Niflheim, who seek to emulate Solheim's glory. To that end, Niflheim has subjugated most of Eos, including Accordo and Tenebrae. Niflheim is technologically superior and more advanced than most nations of the world due to their knowledge of magitek. The empire is associated with the colors red, gold and white, with the emperor dressing in white robes and their military emblems and flag being in these colors. Apparatus powered by magitek glows red. The empire controls various bases in the outlands of Lucis, and after Insomnia's fall, sets up a provisional government there. The capital of Niflheim is Gralea.
- #26Magitek
Keys: Imperial, Magitek, Magiteknology, Imperials
Magitek is a technology used by the Niflheim Empire that involves the use of daemons and the Starscourge. The empire employs magiteknology to produce various apparatus, among them the magitek infantry, magitek armor, airships, and magitek rifles wielded by the imperial infantry. Niflheim has been using magitek for centuries, appropriating the technology from the ancient civilization of Solheim. The empire employs magiteknology to produce various apparatus, among them the magitek infantry, magitek armor, airships, and magitek rifles wielded by the imperial infantry. Mass production of magiteknology requires enormous quantities of oil and coal, which the empire sought from Cartanica.
- #27Magitek Infantry
Keys: magitek soldiers, magitek soldier, MT, Magitek infantry
The magitek infantry is an army of robotic soldiers that serves Niflheim. It was introduced by Ardyn Izunia to be further developed by Verstael Besithia. The soldiers are often referred to with the slang term "MT", short for "magitek trooper". Niflheim deploys two types of soldiers: ones with glowing eyes, and others with their faces entirely covered. The glowing eyes types are humanoid machines powered by magitek cores, whereas the others appear to be human cyborgs, and form the imperial infantry. The magitek types greatly outnumber the soldier types. MTs can wield a variety of weapons and can even self-destruct to take out opponents by latching onto them. Some have built-in firearms in their arms. Their lightproof armor makes them weak to lightning, but they are generally resilient. MTs are often deployed from drop ships, and such groups commonly carry a flag of Niflheim among them. Magitek troopers are silent and expressionless, move robotically, and don't react much to being damaged. Despite being robots, their chests can expand rhythmically as if they are breathing. Different models have different AI. Magitek troopers are produced in various imperial facilities. MTs are made out of clones fathered by Verstael Besithia that have the same bar code on their wrists. The clones are human before turning into daemons, some being brought up since infancy to become an MT, and are kept in tubes in a dormant state. If a clone were to escape the daemonifying process, they would grow up as a regular human, albeit the systems built for magitek troopers would still recognize them as one and their bar code would still work to operate the magitek facilities.
- #28Imperial Infantry
Keys: Imperial, Imperial soldiers, Imperials
The infantrymen have their faces covered and wear old-fashioned chainmail suits of armor with red imperial insignia. Their headgear appears based on a knight's helm. Because imperial soldiers are never seen without their face plates it is unclear whether they are really human underneath. Unlike magitek troopers, which are specifically engineered for engaging enemies, the infantry serve a variety of military functions. Imperial infantry are commonly sighted guarding blockades in Lucis after the imperial takeover, and support the magitek troopers deployed from assault craft to hunt down Noctis and his retinue. Though not powered by magitek cores, the infantry uses magiteknology in their weapons.
- #29Tenebrae
Keys: The Imperial Province of Tenebrae, Tenebrae, the Kingdom of Tenebrae
The Kingdom of Tenebrae is a province under Niflheim's control. The homeland of Lunafreya Nox Fleuret and Ravus Nox Fleuret, it maintains some level of autonomy thanks to Lunafreya's status as the Oracle. Tenebrae is a lush, green, mountainous area abundant in castle-like structures. A blue flower called sylleblossom is common to the region. Fenestala Manor is the home of the Tenebraen royal family, located high in the mountains of Zoldara Henge, and bridges several areas. The kingdom was initially nominally ruled by Queen Sylva. After the Fall of Tenebrae, Tenebrae fully fell under imperial control. Tenebrae is said to have been a popular resort spot for imperial citizens.
- #30Fall of Tenebrae
Keys: Annexation of Tenebrae, Fall of Tenebrae
The Fall of Tenebrae occured when Noctis was eight years old while he and his father King Regis were visiting Tenebrae to help Noctis recover from a near-death experience from a Daemon. Niflheim launched an attack on Tenebrae in an attempt to kill the Lucian royalty, and in the ensuing invasion the Queen of Tenebrae, Queen Sylva, was killed. Regis attempted to flee with Noctis and Lunafreya unwilling to return for Lunafreya's brother Ravus as he knelt beside his mother's body, as the king and his son were being closely pursued by Niflheim soldiers. Lunafreya selflessly chose to let go of Regis's hand and decided to stay in Tenebrae with Ravus to avoid slowing down Regis and Noctis during their escape. Regis and Noctis were safely able to flee back to Lucis; Tenebrae was subsequently annexed by Niflheim and both Ravus and Lunafreya became subjects under Niflheim's rule.
- #31Lucis
Keys: Lucian Kingdom, Lucis, Kingdom of Lucis
The Kingdom of Lucis is a nation that contains the Crystal within its capital, Insomnia. It is ruled by the Lucian royal family. Lucis is divided into five different regions: Cleigne, Duscae, Leide, Cavaugh, and Galahd. Lucis is described as highly advanced and culturally intact. Lucis prospers thanks to the presence of its Crystal. This magical artifact alienates the kingdom from the rest of the world, which has fallen under Niflheim's control. Chocobo racing is the national sport of Lucis. Lucis thrives thanks to its vast realm being home to many ecosystems. There is a nationwide economic disparity between the Crown City citizens and those who live on the outlands, as Insomnia has been isolated from the rest of Lucis for 30 years under the kings Mors and Regis. The lands outside of the capital suffer from a lack of infrastructural development and decline of major fields of commerce and industry, and the way of life outside of Insomnia is estimated to be stagnant by 30 years. Products from Insomnia are valued throughout the outer regions, as they are difficult to come by. Many abandoned mining operations litter the realm due to the rescaling of the Wall 30 years ago, as daemons made excavation and extraction work difficult to continue. Because of the lack of a direct method of obtaining raw earth materials to process into metals and diesel fuels, recycling and scrap re-salvaging is a common practice in the outer lands.
- #32Lucian royal family
Keys: House Caelum, Caelum family, Line of Lucis, Lucian royal family, Caelums
They are the monarchs of the Kingdom of Lucis, and wield the Crystal's powers by birthright; they can warp by throwing their weapons, cast elemental magic, craft healing potions out of regular drinks, and wield the Armiger, the Ring of the Lucii and the Royal Arms. Despite being referred to as the kings of Lucis, there have been queens, such as Crepers Lucis Caelum. The kings can extend their powers outside of the Lucis Caelum lineage at the monarch's behest. The first king is said to have reigned 2000 years ago. Regis was the 113th king, meaning that on average, the reign of each monarch lasted less than 18 years. When a monarch of Lucis dies, they are given a unique moniker and their spirit is taken by the Ring of the Lucii. Deceased monarchs are entombed across Eos in hidden royal tombs.
- #33Ring of the Lucii
Keys: Ring of Legend, Ring of the Lucii, Ring of Light
The Ring of the Lucii harbors the souls of the past kings of Lucis and lets the wearer channel the power of the Crystal. It is handed down the Caelum family from generation to generation and is worn by the current reigning king of Lucis. The ring also gives the reigning monarch the power to command the Old Wall. It is a ring with a gold inner lining and black outer lining with an engraving of Bahamut and a small crystal embedded into the center of the engraving. According to legend, the Ring of the Lucii was bestowed upon the kings of Lucis by the gods. Wielding the ring's powers caused glowing burn scars to appear on the ring-bearer's body, and the more the wielder uses the ring, the more apparent these scars become. When worn by someone who is NOT a member of the Caelum family, the Ring of the Lucii sends the wearer to another dimension where they converse with the Lucian kings of old and face their judgment. The ring may either reject the non-Caelum wearer by burning them (at times fatally) or accept them but demand their life as a cost of this exchange, whereupon the wearer momentarily gains great magical power until the ring ultimately kills them. Anyone within the Lucian royal family is automatically deemed worthy to wield the ring without a fatal blood price, though their bodies can still be scarred by the ring. The Ring can use three spells: Holy, Death, and Aeterna.
- #34Death
Keys: Death
Death is one of three spells used by the Ring of the Lucii. The spell heals the ring-bearer's targeted enemy by draining the enemy's life-force and causing them to disintegrate. This spell emits an eerie red glow and whispering voices.

- #36Alterna
Keys: Alterna
Alterna is one of three spells used by the Ring of the Lucii. This spell temporarily breaks open the fabric of reality and creates a crystal sphere appears around the ring-bearer's foes which collapses upon itself, sucking the enemies into a black hole that then disappears. Although Alterna is the most powerful Ring of the Lucii spell, the chance of this spell working against enemies is random. Casting Alterna always makes the ring-bearer extremely tired and they will need a moment to recover before casting a spell again.
- #37Warping
Keys: warping, warped, warp
Warping is an ability used by Noctis and those of his bloodline, though Lucian monarchs can lend this ability to others. The process of warping is a person being teleported to a location in the direction they threw their equipped weapon at. For example, if a person wants to warp to the end of a hallway, they need to throw their weapon through said hallway. Appropriate training is also required to master warping.
- #38Royal Arms
Keys: Glaive of Kings, royal arm, royal arms
The royal arms are special weapons that only Noctis Lucis Caelum and others of his bloodline can brandish. They are the weapons of the previous monarchs of Lucis. There have been 113 kings, but there are only thirteen known royal arms that have survived till present day: the Sword of the Mystic, the Sword of the Wise, Axe of the Conquerer, the Swords of the Wanderer, the Mace of the Fierce, the Katana of the Warrior, the Star of the Rogue, the Scepter of the Pious, the Sword of the Tall, the Shield of the Just, the Bow of the Clever, the Trident of the Oracle, and the Sword of the Father. Royal arms have intricate designs of contrasting precious metals and alloys, such as platinum, gold, shibuichi and shakudo mokume-gane, with fine grain and smooth surface polishes to differentiate them from other weapons. They have elaborate decorations, such as light ray indentations and wing motifs. The royal arms are usually left in royal tombs that are hidden around the nation of Lucis in hard-to-reach locations, such as caves, forests, and even on a volcano. Arms left in tombs have been known to have been broken into and stolen and thus thought lost. Royal arms need not be entombed to be useful to the heirs, as with the Trident of the Oracle and the Sword of the Father; it is only necessary for the heir to come into contact with the weapon. When a royal arm recognizes its rightful wielder, it will become transparent and crystalline and glows before floating and swiftly entering a Lucian king's body in a flash of light, leaving small crystals glimmering in the air. From then on the wielder can forge a royal arm from thin air, and it will appear into their grasp at will no matter where they are.

When Noctis throws the star it permeates enemies and flies in erratic arcs.

Keys: Trident of the Oracle
The Trident of the Oracle is the traditional weapon of the Oracles' bloodline, though it also doubles as a Lucian royal arm. It is the most notable royal arm alongside the Sword of the Father. According to legend, long ago a Lucian king and the Oracle of his era fell in love, and the Lucian monarch took up the position of Oracle and inherited the Oracle's trident after she was killed by a daemon; he was thus dubbed "the Oracle King". This trident was wielded by the current Oracle, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret when she communed with Astrals, and although she is not of the Lucis Caelum bloodline, she could still use the trident to empower Noctis for his battle against Leviathan. Noctis currently has this royal arm, inheriting it after Lunafreya was murdered by Ardyn. When Noctis attacks with the trident, it will leave a hologram that stays for a few seconds and will repeatedly damage enemies that touch it. Unlike the rest of his weapons, Noctis notably does not show off the Trident of the Oracle with a twirl, flick or spin when he conjures it. Instead, he has no flare and only stares at the trident solemnly for a moment.
- #50Sword of the Father
Keys: Sword of the Father
The Sword of the Father is one of thirteen known royal arms. It is King Regis's sword and one of Noctis's iconic weapons. It is the most notable royal arm alongside the Trident of the Oracle. It is an elaborately decorated sword that has a wing-ornament on one side of the hilt. Attacking with it performs basic sword slashes, one of them leaving a hologram that damages enemies that come into contact with it like with the Trident of the Oracle.
