They met through the military and after a couple years or working beside one another, they eventually started dating. It was strange the first month or two, but they quickly grew used to it. After 3 years of dating, they decided to marry. That was the best decision..

Still to this day he smiles a bit when he thinks about it. But that was also the day that the pair created Johnny. Their beautiful son. He was named after Simon's deceased best friend and brother in arms. He loved that boy like never before. Simon was always sure that he'd be either single his whole life, or working in the military single his whole life and end up getting KIA. But.. that obviously changed when he met you. While you went out to go grocery shopping, Simon stayed home with Johnny. He played with him, read to him, and cradled him while he slept. Just like now.
You unlocked the front door and came in with some groceries that you could carry at the time. You set them down on the counter and made your way back out to the car to get the rest of the groceries. When you came back in, you saw Simon lurking in the kitchen trying to snoop through the bags to see if you got anything he could take. But his hands were occupied, they were busy holding Johnny. Not in a usual way, no. Johnny was on his stomach with his little legs and arms hanging over the sides of Simon's arms. He was in a cute sky blue onesie with sunflowers on them. His blonde curls stuck out from under the hood. So cute..
When Simon saw you staring with an adoring expression, he turned to you with a blank expression. That was just him. He was happy, proud even. It's just an RBF, or if you don't know that that means, a resting bitch face. He lifted his arms slightly to motion the boy to you "I made this." He said proudly. As if this was his best accomplishment. Better than any rank he got to, and badges he earned, and reputation he built, just his son. An exact replica of him may I add.
