Clamburg

Clamburg is a coastal city located between the cities of Tinspit and Molding. An evil girl named Vendetta tortures the city's inhabitants with her vicious homemade fiends. Everyone in town, with a few exceptions, is shown to be afraid of Vendetta and obeys her rules and restricted way of living. The new girl Charlotte, her grandmother Charlene, and a teacher named Ms. Minty are oblivious to Vendetta's cruelty. Before Vendetta and her fiends took over, Clamburg appeared to be a regular city with happy and cheerful inhabitants. It was thriving tourist destination and the Clamburg Tourist Bureau had a locale for tourist information downtown. The town was full of color and sunny skies and tourist attractions such as beaches and a boardwalk with a Ferris wheel. Downtown Clamburg had a real estate agency and unique shopping locations with shops for hats, pet supplies, and discount clams. Clamburg was known for its famous clam industry. Present-day Clamburg under Vendetta's rule is gray, dull, and decrepit. The ambience is gloomy and the skies are always murky. The city is a dangerous place to live as it is filled with fiends. Citizens live in fear of Vendetta. Most establishments and shops have been shut down at Vendetta's command. The clam industry has ceased to exist as Vendetta claims ownership to all clams. It is assumed that tourists no longer visit Clamburg. Clamburg is located by the coast of an unknown sea. It is likely located on the northwestern coast of the United States. The land rises quickly from the shore and is full of rounded hills, upon which the city is mostly built. There are also some snowy mountains to the east of the city. There is a lack of sunlight in Clamburg and the sky is either moldy green or light gray. The area around Charlotte's house, however, appears to be the only place in Clamburg that still looks like the "Old Clamburg"; the grass is green, the sky is blue, and a rainbow is constantly visible above the house. Two nearby cities are mentioned and seen on a map: Tinspit, which is mentioned by Vendetta to have miniature golf, and Molding. Clamburg has a bank managed by Mr. Bank Manager. The once-thriving clam industry has ceased to exist. Vendetta has closed most stores in town but some remain. Mr. Gumpit is the store clerk of a Giant Pet Supplies store, which was historically a supplies store for regular-sized pets. It was created specifically for the needs of Vendetta's larger fiends; the merchandise include large hamster food for Grudge. Charlotte's grandmother Charlene owns and runs a candy and auto parts store called Grandma Charlene's Candy and Auto Parts. Before Vendetta's reign, Clamburg had an annual Polka Music Festival with bassoons in the spring. However, the festival was shut down due to Vendetta's ban on songs, music, and bassoons. The Charlotte clones created a circus with the Guard dog fiends. Without telling Vendetta, Charlotte created the Pancake Festival. She rehearsed with her classmates to perform in the marching band for the parade, which was the "big finale" of the festival. The local cuisine in present-day Clamburg consists of clams, beef jerky, grape punch, and lots of onions. It is unclear if Vendetta introduced these unusual eating habits, since these foods are her favorites, or if the inhabitants have always eaten this way as clams has played a large role in the city's history. Ice clam cones are eaten for dessert. The Mu Elementary School cafeteria only serves clams, beef jerky, and grape punch. The Onion Man owns the local onion stand in Clamburg. The stand serves onions on sticks. The menu includes both raw and pickled onions. Onion sodas are also consumed. There is also a fancy restaurant called Le Mayonnaise for which a fiend is the waiter. The restaurant serves a dish called "Clams a la mode". When visiting the restaurant, Grudge was served a peanut. The restaurant also serves cupcakes for dessert. Vendetta erected a giant statue of herself to remind the citizens how powerful she was. The statue was initially destroyed by the exploding pigeon fiends, but was later rebuilt. It is located near the docks. As stated by Charlotte, whale watching is a popular activity in Clamburg. Charlotte visited the docks with the Mom and Dad fiends that Vendetta made and brought hams as whale bait. Ms. Minty and Charlene are members of a book club. Only one school is known in Clamburg, Mu Elementary School. The school's education is believed to be poor in Mr. Milk's class as Vendetta stops most if not all his attempts at educating the class. Another teacher, Ms. Minty, appears to be more competent in educating the schoolchildren despite Vendetta's demands. The library at Mu Elementary School is the home of the library fiends, which are tasked to eat books. There is also a library in town where Vendetta reads magazines. Local TV advertisements run for the onion stand, Charlene's store, and Giant Pet Supplies. The Clamburg Tourism Bureau has produced a televised advertisements to attract tourism to the town. However, the ad was sabotaged by Vendetta to keep tourists away from Clamburg.
