- #1Arcadia Bay
Keys: Arcadia Bay
Arcadia Bay is a fictional, picturesque seaside town in Oregon, United States. Arcadia Bay was originally inhabited and founded by Native Americans, as mentioned by Ms. Grant when she speaks of the settlers living peacefully with one another after their arrival. Its main source of commerce was fishing which - according to a fisherman - is no longer feasible due to the Prescott family's business practices.
- #2Blackwell Academy
Keys: Blackwell Academy
Blackwell Academy is a private senior high school located in Arcadia Bay, Oregon. The school specializes in Science and Arts and is currently overseen by Principal Raymond Wells. According to Michelle Grant, the school is built on old Native American land, shared between the natives and the early colonial settlers "in peace, not fear and violence.". The tribes who were in the area first had welcomed the settlers and both cultures "found a mutual symbiosis and thrived." There are some undisclosed fascinating facts about Blackwell, and Ms. Grant claims there's a lot of power in the region which she thinks "helps the creative juices flow." In 1910, Jeremiah Blackwell founded the academy, striving for excellence among the student body. Jeremiah's statue resides at the front of the building, bearing the motto "The future needs excellence". In the Two Whales Diner, there is also a black and white flyer of Blackwell, boasting "Global Excellence in Arts and Science for over a hundred years and counting." Blackwell is partially owned by, and financially funded by the Prescott family. In 1998, they donated the dormitory building to Blackwell. Outside the building, there are several main areas: parking lot, main campus, Prescott Dormitory.
- #3Raymond Wells
Keys: Mr. Wells, Principal, Raymond Wells
Raymond "Ray" Wells is the principal of Blackwell Academy. He doesn't leave his office much and often looks distracted. His office is in the main building of the campus. Wells is a stern authority figure. He keeps mostly to himself, staying in his office most of the time. Easily threatened by the Prescott family, Wells must strike a balance between caring for the Blackwell community and its students and keeping the vast sums of funding the Prescott family provide. He is apparently under a lot of pressure in his responsibility as a principal and therefore has developed a drinking problem.
- #4Nathan Prescott
Keys: Nathan, Nathan Prescott
Nathan Joshua Prescott is a student at Blackwell Academy and is associated with selling drugs at Blackwell, and it is consistently implied that he is mentally ill and is in therapy. Nathan was a big narcissistic boy who has an inflated sense of self-importance and unable to handle any criticism and a sense of entitlement. He is also an outwardly aggressive and spoiled rich boy who acts in the manner of an archetypal brat. He often uses his family's influence to escape any responsibility for his actions, believing himself to be above the law. He appears to lack empathy for others and shows no regard for the suffering of those he deems a threat to his authority. Despite owning most of Arcadia Bay, the Prescotts may be from Florida instead of Arcadia Bay considering Nathan was born in Fort Lauderdale and there are many instances where both Nathan and his father call Arcadia Bay a "shithole".[3] It's possible that Nathan's family lived in Florida for a while, but considering their ancestors already ruled over the town, they later returned to continue the family's legacy. Nathan is presumed to be the youngest son in the Prescott family and has a record of being violent and acting out, which is implied to be due to the pressures placed upon him by his parents (specifically his father) in order to keep the Prescott reputation intact. According to Blackwell school records, Nathan, at least once, referred to himself as "Nathan Prescott the third" evidencing a condescending attitude among many Prescott family members rooting from the family's abundant wealth. Nathan has been in psychiatric treatment for at least five years. At Blackwell, Nathan retains the position as one of the main Vortex Club representatives and, by most Blackwell students, a recreational drug dealer. Nathan is evidenced to cut his drugs with powerful laxatives bought online after buying them from local drug dealer Frank Bowers. Nathan is also a known partier and drinker and usually supplies the drugs and alcohol at the parties he attends. Nathan's family influence affords the Vortex Club with prestigious benefits, such as note-worthy DJs and the lack of surveillance by the authorities.
- #5Prescott Family
Keys: Prescotts, Prescott family
The Prescott family is known to be the oldest and most influential family of Arcadia Bay. The Prescotts are wealthy and supply substantial funding to Blackwell Academy, going as far as donating a new dormitory for the school's use. Nathan's father, Sean Prescott, has a lot of influence on Principal Wells which, in turn, affects his son's treatment at the academy. There is a wide rumor around town that even the local police are under the thumb of the Prescotts. The Prescotts are also responsible for a new development called "Pan Estates" that is scheduled to be built in Arcadia Bay.
- #6Prescott Barn (Dark Room)
Keys: barn, Prescott barn
he Prescott Barn is an old outbuilding located on derelict farmstead grounds owned by the Prescott family, officially under the name of Harry Aaron Prescott. It is an old, dilapidated. Has a trapdoor, which is suspiciously more modern than the rest of the barn. Opening the trapdoor reveals a door leading to a code-locked door leading to what is known as the Dark Room, or the Prescott Bunker.
- #7Dark Room
Keys: Prescott Bunker, Dark Room
The Dark Room is a secret bunker hidden under the Prescott Barn, initially intended as an emergency shelter yet eventually used by Mark Jefferson for his illegal photographing of vulnerable girls. Fitting both purposes, it is filled with survival supplies and expensive photography equipment. The underground fixture has several sections, including the hallway with the stairway that leads to the other section that is the bunker, which is separated into a dark room and a storage room. The ceiling tiles in both the storage and dark room are brown with squares on them and every couple of tiles there is a sprinkler. There is only one in the storage room and several in the dark room. There are also vents placed sporadically on the ceiling and on the upper parts of the walls. The storage and dark rooms are separated by a transparent vinyl curtain attached to the ceiling. Upon entering, there are shelves full of survivalist supplies; mainly food and water. However, turning the corner, there is a more sinister air to the setup, as the room turns into more of a lounge/photography studio. The hallway is short, aged, dirty, and dingy with a circular light fixture on the wall as well as another circular fixture which function is unknown. A vault-like door and keypad lie at the very end of it. The door leads to a storage and dark room area; it is secured by a spinning wheel and a bar-type handle. The keypad's combination is 542. The storage room has various nonperishable food items such as boxed cereals, bouillon, water, and canned mushrooms. The room has a counter on the wall opposing the door with a very large sink and a shelving unit next to it. The shelving unit has possible cleaning agents or containers of nonperishable food items, napkins, towels, and a large pot. On the counter next to the sink, there is one water bottle, a roll of paper towels, duct tape, two prescription pill bottles that are likely Nathan Prescott's, and a letter from Nathan's psychiatrist expressing disappointment in his father's neglect and stating that Nathan can no longer be treated; as the father refused to acknowledge his role in causing Nathan's problems, he himself is an obstacle in Nathan's treatment. On the other side of the counter, there is a large tank that contains water connected to the sink. The shelves above the sink have beakers, hand towels, paper towels, and a lockbox. The only things Max can interact with in this part of the storage room are the letter and duct tape. There are three drains on the floor surrounding the counter. On the wall to the right of the door, there are four shelving units - only one of them has wheels. The shelving unit closest to the door is half the size of the rest of the shelves with food or cleaning agents on it, and it is the one with wheels. The next shelving unit on this wall has nonperishable food and drink items as well as two boxes. After this, the next shelving unit also contains food or cleaning agents. The final shelving unit on this wall contains sanitation items such as paper towels, napkins, and large rolls of bathroom tissue. It has a bucket and a metal pan with uses that are unknown. This shelf is also half-size. Tortured guro images adorn the walls in the bunker; presumably put up by either Nathan or his father, as the style is more similar to Nathan's than that of Mr. Jefferson. Needles sit on one of the side tables, obviously used for sedating the victims or those involved. Duct tape also appears here, used to restrain the drugged girls. There is a small entertainment center located on the far right wall containing a stereo, a radio, and several other electronic devices. A couch wrapped in clear vinyl is in the center of the room with two tower speakers on either side of it and a sleek table in front of it. On the table is a bottle, a phone on a dock or charger, and an Arcadia Bay Beacon newspaper. Both speakers are plugged into some electrical source under the couch. The cabinet next to the entertainment center has alcoholic beverages, sealed boxes, boxed shot glasses, and several cameras. The dark room has a big white screen acting as a backdrop for photos. There are several large light sources such as two softbox lights and two umbrella lights. Four tripods are visible, but only one is interactable. A small circular fan is also in the lower left corner of the white screen. Bordering the screen are numerous black crates with some acting as tables. To the right of the screen, a large black screen rolled and attached to tripod-like stands on either side is present. Behind the couch and entertainment system there is a desk with a tower computer and large monitor. . Behind this desk is a cabinet containing binders with photos of the dark room victims. There is a Cintiq screen on a table near the desk, and on the file cabinet next to this table there is a contract dealing with the construction of the bunker. On the same wall, there is a cabinet and two printers. One of the printers is interactable and designated for photos only. There are five framed monochromatic photographs and one signed art print, possibly a block print, hanging on the walls of the dark room. One portrait-style photograph hangs above the printer, and the rest hang on the wall behind the desk. Two are portrait style and two are square. The square photos are significantly smaller than the portrait-style ones. The signed art print is portrait-style and hangs around the corner connected to the storage room. The Dark room is under 24-hour surveillance.

Salmon, trout, and bass have died and migrated from its waters, and it is believed that even the clams are dying. This has impacted heavily on the town's fishing industry, and the fishermen who have made the harbor their home for many years also blame the decline of their industry on the Prescott family who have been buying up much of the town as well as snapping up harbor rights with their "finance fiends."The Arcadia Bay Beacon newspaper describes the bay area as "a quaint fishing and tourist nook on the Oregon coast." However, he ultimately cares about the Blackwell students and his family but finds it difficult to show them due to his brusque attitude.

He mostly keeps to himself and lives an independent and solitary life in his RV - mainly on the beach outside the city - with his dog and best friend, Pompidou. He doesn't seem to trust people much, which might be the reason for his solitary life. According to his own words, he "trained Pompidou how to be (his) friend," likely because he actually craves the company of someone he can trust in. Many people at Arcadia Bay seem to disrespect and avoid him and think of him as a liar and loser. Frank gets angered quickly and tends toward violent and aggressive behavior, especially when under the influence of drugs. His hostile and untrusting personality is probably due to his involvement with drugs. Despite these things, he is shown to have a good heart. He seems affectionate and loyal towards those he cares about, including Pompidou. He believes in God and attends church.

Considering her school performance and the effort she put into becoming a model, she was a very ambitious person.
