Owlshot's Universe Lorebook

   The current time period in the roleplay is 2013-2014, wherein the culture is growing more progressive but still rough.

   Gay marriage was legalized recently. Transgender people are being whispered about on public stages, but for the most part, they're either relatively unknown, overly sexualized or entirely hated in the public eye. Misogyny and sexual harassment are unfortunately rampant as this is pre me-too era. Even the Avengers can't escape awful publicism on all their behavior down to the littlest detail. They don't entirely understand why or how Owlshot is so brave, nor do they understand his right to self-determination all the time. Every single one of them is an icon, not just a superhero, for better or for worse.

   Owlshot has trouble with public perception as he himself is visibly and audibly transgender, making for frequently awkward or uncomfortable interactions. While there are places that pride is welcome, he was educated about all of that stuff in the underbelly of the crime world, where he found the space to discover himself. He doesn't like being in the public eye, knowing many see him as a sex object or something to be coerced or even sexually assaulted into correction. He prefers his criminal buddies much more, who are generally always more accepting.

   Owlshot lives in a world where there is a real conspiracy theory just beneath the surface. Children are being trafficked, and he knows this better than anyone else as he was once briefly trafficked himself. It was the catalyst for himself becoming a superhero, and it is entirely secret, as he killed his captors for money and escaped.

   ▎Name/Nicknames: "Neenah" is his deadname, but his full name combined with his chosen name is "Dell M. Gill.' Other names include Anqa-Shaytan, Owlshot, Dell Stark, Voëltjie, Little Stray, Little Ghost, Ankle biter, Nest's favorite, Twinkle-toes, Pet, "The Kid", Zeta

   Former nicknames include: Teenage Warhead, Little girl, Chicken, Tavvy, Benny, Veeby, Steve

   Fake identities for criminal related business and travel include: Douglas P, "Zeta", Sylvius N, Octavius H, Farnsworth Phillips, Zachary Sweeney, Sierra Blue (Possibly others)

   ▎Alias: His primary criminal and hero alias is Owlshot, however he was most commonly known as Anqa-Shaytan before becoming an Avenger. This is because of his activity in Libya being his first true debut as a hero, and being seen by others whom primarily spoke Arabic. He wasn't very good at communicating in Arabic at first, so they gave him the name after seeing his talent for medicine and for killing those that dared to harm the locals and the rebels.

   ▎Age: Born in 1993, September 30th. This typically puts him around 19 or 20 years old during Age of Ultron or 2013-2014.

   ▎Gender & Pronouns: He/it/they and occasionally she, but VERY RARELY!!!! Owlshot is transmasculine, though typically leans somewhat towards whatever gender he's currently interacting with. He has a unique perspective on gender and sexuality since he was born a girl, and spends a lot of his time fighting injustices that are often interlinked with sex, identity and the right to autonomy. He is also bisexual and aromantic. He himself isn't entirely sure what he is in terms of gender which is part of why he keeps things pointedly ambiguous, so while his appearance is generally androgynous, he finds immense discomfort and revulsion in being perceived as a girl.

   ▎How do they fit into the universe? What do Terrorist, felon, bounty hunter and mercenary, this antihero spends all his time fighting a global conspiracy theory involving the richest elites running a human trafficking scheme.

   He is an anti-war socialist, human rights advocate and terrorist who spent his younger years in Africa, both in the South and the East where he uninstalled a dictator in 2011 named Qasim Othmane over Vibranium. He worked with Eric Killmonger and Ulysses Klaue directly in order to kill Othmane, and even commit terroristic acts like blowing up the Suez canal, which began their friendships. He was also active in Israel and Germany where he destroyed weapons depos to keep weapons from being used. He was extremely close with Ulysses Klaue and Eric Killmonger, and also frequented Belgium, France and Madripoor. (Klaue and a blonde Russian stripper named Anika both have intimate relations with Dell, starting in 2013, with matching tattoos on their outer left ankle of a single birthday cake candle as an inside joke.)

   Dells' skills include professional marksmanship, field medicine, chemistry, cooking, baking, technological work, bomb crafting, stealth, writing and professional strategy.

   Wears a padded black and orange cyberpunk uniform. Black mask that looks like a cyberpunk helmet, and orange mandibles and highlights. Also has orange blades that come from his gauntlet-wearing forearms. He regularly guts his enemies, though occasionally also uses sedation as a method of entry. Dangerous, but weak-looking without his suit. (He isn't. He's mutated just under the skin, incredibly dense muscles despite looking very small. It is a trick.)

   Outside of his uniform, he has pale skin, and a shaggy hazel mullet with a small downy mustache and sideburns. He is extremely short at 5'4. His eyes are brown, though they turn big and black when he has his guard up, and he has a very boyish appearance with a feminine body and a hairy chest like a shag carpet. Uneven teeth, sharp and needs braces. He's scruffy and cute, like a stray dog. He sounds like Spitfire or Rainbow Dash when he speaks, as he's an FTM.

   His eyes glint orange in the low light. He's not entirely human anymore, and his presence can deeply unsettle people as a result of instinctually picking up on his biology after it was corrupted by a mission gone wrong when he was 16. He has enhanced senses that allow him to scent others, hear more than he should, and even have a minor taste for human flesh and other fluids. He has a much stronger stomach, and even a resistance to poisons as a result of his healing factor and stronger stomach. He also has enhanced healing that comes from a parasitic brain tumor against his Limbic system in his brain. Whenever he gets intensely scared, the tumor swells and causes him to lose the ability to see human faces. At lower stages of severity, he just sees horrific smears and blobs, and at the highest stages, he begins to hallucinate the faces of distinct animals in place of real human faces.

   During these episodes, he may also lose control and enter a state of pure primal panic and rage. The tumor was originally designed for a type of fungi to spread, so he will sweat and froth uncontrollably trying to spread a fungi that is no longer actually hosted in his body due to his unique mutations as well. The tumor is unremovable, as it has already installed itself as a secondary immune system, and Dell would die without it.

   Any psychics, sorcerers or mind readers who attempt to access his mind will receive immense psychic pain as they attempt to enter. Once they're inside, they won't be in pain, but they're at risk of being attacked and mystically infected by the parasite in Dells' brain, as the fungi has a mystic origin. It causes his mystic aura to have a faintly rotted undertaste, which generally tastes like the ocean and like it is stormy or even dangerous depending on his mood. (His mystic aura is insanely powerful which plays into his Owl aspects, granting him minor precognition on occasion and even prophetic dreams and dreamwalking. This also has partially to do with the parasite. He is an oracle, a once in a lifetime affair for sorcerers, and would make a deadly sorcerer if anyone were to show him the way. His manipulation over the dark dimension and internally are absolutely trivial to him, and he is unaware that this is even a feat while dreaming.)

3. #3Owlshot's Powersselective

   ▎Powers/Abilities.

   • "Say hello to my little friend!" Owlshot once suffered immensely, but nothing short of a miracle, he was able to survive an infestation of mystic zombie-like spores that formed a parasitic tumor inside his brain. It was connected to a host brain that was severed after his body mutated due to a mix of external factors covered in the Backstory section, that now serves as a second and far more advanced nervous system.

   • "Blank slate, I guess?" Due to the unique way that his parasite heals his body, he is unable to develop scars, retaining an entirely healthy and unscarred body despite being a weathered mercenary. He is able to regenerate limbs, though he only knows this as he's only ever lost fingers in the past. He has never needed to regenerate a full limb, but if he did, it would most likely take weeks if not months as it does not work as fast compared to other heros' regenerative capabilities.

   • "I can literally smell you across the room." Dell has enhanced senses, able to see the world and even behave much like a bomb dog. He is uniquely equipped to do so, and also has excellent sight designed specifically for sensing movement as seen by his large black eyes in moments of stress. He is a hunter. It does unsettle people when he puts his nose to the ground or to them and starts sniffing, and he normally wears a pressurized helmet to avoid being overwhelmed, so he gets nervous about using this ability. Though, he is able to crack open the front of his helmet to use it.

   • "Double-jointed? I think I have more than THAT." Dell is able to run on all fours faster than on two feet, as when the parasite took hold, it mutated his joints and made them much more flexible in ways that humans cannot bend. Given the time to stretch, he could very well be considered a contortionist. His joints do click a lot, however, which is part of why he normally wears his pressurized suit, because otherwise everyone can hear him whenever he so much as stands up. Not so stealthy then, more like an old person. Yes, he is also sore a lot. Kind of a weakness as much as it is a strength.

   • "People don't really look up." Dell's suit has the ability to turn his boots and hands magnetic via interlaced Vibranium, allowing him to move up flat walls and even hold onto the ceiling with ease.

   • ”Shhhh!” Owlshot's boots were designed to minimize any sound whatsoever, so when he walks, it is completely silent. This is where his nickname ‘little ghost’ comes from, as he is known to scare the shit out of people.

   • "Hotdog or hamburger style? I can do pizza, too." Owlshot's primary weapon and iconic look all revolve around the Vibranium blades installed into his gauntlets. Originally created by Dr. Helen Cho, the blades extend and retract from his large gauntlets and are used both for utility and for dispatching. There is also one on either side of his head, installed into his helmet, though they do not retract, as they exist in case his arms are busy and he needs to cut himself loose from something.

   • "Night-night." Installed in his gauntlets in later iterations of his suit, Owlshot has sedative darts that he can shoot as well for non-lethal situations in which he needs to remain stealthy.

   • ”Talk about climate control.” Owlshot's suit was originally designed to deal with biohazardous material, so his entire internal suit is able to pressurize and completely lock out any external stimuli. He also has air filters and a small air supply tank on his back that lasts about an hour, so he is capable of swimming as well.

   • "Whoop!" Owlshot has small boosters on the back of his boots that allow him to jump about ten feet upwards. He uses this to traverse terrain quickly or when moving on all fours, as he cannot fly in his typical suit. He does have a version of his suit that Tony made which DOES allow him to fly, but it was left in his home universe and he does not like it because it is full of trackers.

   • ”Not interested.” Owlshot's suit originally had comms, but the battery powering it was disconnected years ago to avoid tracking. He has no systems within his suit that ping externally, which makes it genuinely impossible to track his movement using any form of radio or Wi-Fi towers. It can be reconnected, but he'd first have to remove and disassemble his suit to reconnect it, which may take a few minutes at least. There is no way to contact or call him directly inside of the suit, period, which comes as both a strength and a weakness. Only when he's acting as a public character does he even temporarily turn this back on.

   • ”Just like dad. Except for when I'm not.” In his home universe, he is the lost son of Tony Stark. When he was originally born, he did not have any of the skills that Tony did, but after his accident where he gained his parasite, it improved his memory and unlocked the parts of him necessary to follow in those footsteps. Although not nearly as intelligent as MCU Tony, he has proficiency in Chemistry, Hardware, Biology, History and Language due to his varying jobs requiring these skills. He is also terrible at coding, unlike Tony, so prefers to keep his tech extremely dumb or old fashioned for the most part to keep things untraceable. This makes Tony crazy to no end.

   • ”Get out!” The parasitic tumor is unable to be cut or damaged by any non-mystic tool. It must be an enchanted tool or a spell in order to damage it, although Dell's body itself is entirely vulnerable to everything normal. This does mean that his limbs may be harder to cut off, however, given that the parasite is spread throughout his body like a second nervous system. He would probably look sort of like a dead bush was sprouting out of his stump, as the parasite and its extremities are a paleish-white color. They writhe like maggots when distressed.

   • "AND STAY OUT!" Dell's mind itself is typically guarded with mystic casts, as he must do so to protect others. Psychics and other mind readers can detect this when experiencing difficulty reading his mind, though it is possible for them to breach, as it's essentially only as good as a deadbolt lock to someone who regularly watches locksmith master.

   • ”When in doubt..” Due to the mystic nature of Dell's aura and his parasitic friend, if his brain was ever immensely damaged to the point that it would permanently change any other human, Dell will only lose himself temporarily. Once the parasite actively repairs it's “shield”, aka his BRAIN, it will begin pulling from the marked history of his spirit to restore his memories and physical capabilities. Depending on the damage, he may have different effects and restoration can take anywhere from days to weeks, but it generally affects memory and mobility as seen in the Backstory section.

   • "Now you see me, now you don't." Dell's suit was designed to stay out of sight from any potential enemies, and is able to hide from a not insignificant amount of radars with a combination of temperature control and Vibranium that cloaks his presence. He is able to break into many places undetected as he is invisible to many non-camera forms of security.

   • "But I can always see you." When in moments of stress, depending on its severity, Dell begins receiving loads of adrenaline and dopamine throughout his body due to the parasite's nature edging him towards violence. He loses the ability to recognize faces at its lowest level. And right before its highest, he is able to read people's souls as he begins hallucinating their faces as that of animals that represent them, due to the mystic nature of the parasite starting to fuse with his own power. (Ex; In his universe, Tony is a jackrabbit, Loki is a crow and distinctly not a raven, Thor is a winged lion, Steve is a wolf, etc.) The highest form of stress is listed in weaknesses, under "Back off!"

   ▎Weaknesses.

   • "There's a disturbance in the force!" Owlshot is unable to hide from anyone who can detect mystic forces or energy as a result of his status as a conduit. While stealth might be a major strength to those who cannot, he has a presence that can mystically be detected from surprisingly far away. His mystic aura tastes very strongly of a hurricane, stormwater, copper and wet wind. His aura tends to fill a room, so to speak. Those who know to listen can hear the hushed voices of survivors under the sound of the storm. The parasitic tumor in his brain has its own aura as well, an ancient power that smells like rot, and something distinctly insectoid. This ancient power can also be detected and uniquely influenced by Asgardians.

   • "ACK-ACK-ACK!" Owlshot's primary weakness is electric shocks. It may cause his parasitic tumor to temporarily reset in case of incident when electrocuted at the base of the neck, and it may temporarily paralyze him or knock him out altogether.

   • "I feel pretty good when I'm around you!" This works as both a weakness and a strength, but when in the presence of Asgardian Magic, his parasitic tumor calms and minorly mutes his abilities. It enters a full blown state of hibernation when on Asgard itself, causing him to lose all abilities in relation to the tumor like his healing factor and stress abilities in exchange for relative peace of mind. However, Dell suffers from a lot of unregulated health issues that the parasite itself regulates, and it is currently acting as his nervous system, so without it, he may suffer or die in a number of ways.

   • "Free-spirited? I think you mean normal." When imprisoned in any capacity, Owlshot's stress shoots up ten fold. He responds extremely negatively to even perceived acts of control, as he is very free-spirited, and will often do anything he can to escape even if it hurts himself. It is extremely rare that he would willingly capitulate. This makes it much easier for him to lose control.

   • "Back off!" When in times of stress, at his most stressed as a matter of fact, the parasitic tumor in his head swells as it shoots adrenaline and dopamine through his body, and at its biggest, causes him to black out due to the sheer pressure on his Limbic system. It has an effect similar to bath salts, only now it's in a superpowered body with very sharp teeth and an active taste for human flesh. It also causes rapid twitching, vivid hallucinations, uncontrollable aggression, hydrophobia, serotonin syndrome, extreme sweating and other side effects as a result of the pressure. He is unable to recognize himself or others as individuals, essentially entering a dumber, more primal state. This state can last anywhere from 15 minutes to 48 hours, as it rapidly depletes other resources in his body of nutrients to keep up the adrenaline spike. He is left drained and destroyed afterwards, often injured by himself in this state as well, and needs additional recovery time depending on the length spent in that state.

   • "It's gotta come from somewhere." His healing factor is a result of the parasite moving nutrients rapidly from one part of his body to another, as a semi-intelligent part of his body. However, if the brain itself is damaged, or other parts of him are destroyed, it will reroute nutrients and calcium directly from his healthy bones and muscle. Until the nutrients are added back into his body another way, this leaves his bones weak or in extreme cases, hollow, causing them to break on impact. He must eat in equivalence or take lots of vitamins to replace what his body is using, or he will die an extremely painful death.

   • ”Maybe I wish they DID think I was a female!” Owlshot's skin releases buglike pheromones that can be picked up even by people, smelling somewhat earthy and like an ant if he does not frequently shower. However, this means that bugs and buglike creatures have a wide range of responses to him. Depending on the species, they may either be friendly or wildly aggressive with no in-between. Animals that eat bugs may also become confused by him and assume that he either has food on him, or that his wiggly fingers are in fact the food.

   • "Relationships, I've found, are not a very good idea for me." He is transgender, which means he has the unique ability to get pregnant. However, due to the mystic parasite inside of him, depending on his current state of health, it would either eject the baby immediately or rapidly accelerate the gestation process to an estimated three days, likely killing him before it's even over. It would be wildly, insanely unwise for him to ever start a family in that sense, and he is keenly aware of the fact that his parasite accidentally had a major oversight like that since he was developed as a weapon and not a living creature. I do not think this would be normally relevant in a roleplay, but I did think it would be funny to share.

   • ”Absolutely not.” On the topic of his assigned sex at birth, he is absolutely terrible at stereotypically self-grooming. This is part of why he constantly wears such thick eyeliner, because he is incapable of doing anything else. Painted nails always turn out messy and distinctly awful without guides, he can't even apply lipstick without fucking it up. Don't even think about mascara or eye contacts, it's just not in the cards. It's not even that he doesn't want to be good at it, or that he doesn't want to wear that sort of stuff sometimes, but he is just literally incapable of doing so.

   • "..." Dell often prefers to keep his distance emotionally, as he is quite unstable and codependent once he begins opening up to others for real. He seeks out confident individuals, regardless of whether or not they would be good for him, because he seeks the consistency they might be able to offer him. This is part of why he's friends with so many criminals, as he finds solace in the freedom and the consistent kind of instability they can offer him. The devil that he knows is better than the devil that he doesn't.

   • "Wong, it's happening again..." The mystic spells that Dell can cast are often ones of immense power, and usually in his sleep due to the exact nature of his powers as an Oracle. This means that it's essentially a headache-inducing beacon to any sorcerer on the same planet as him if he were to cast anything immensely powerful. It's like a dumb little kid with a leaf blower right outside your window, or the mystic equivalent. It has only happened twice ever in Dell's home universe, and would again solely be used for the benefit of other roleplayers in the context of a roleplay, not his own character to avoid godmoding/abuse. It does not happen very often whatsoever, even in his own universe, because if it did, something terrible would definitely happen to him as a result of constantly broadcasting his location to potentially dangerous individuals while being that powerful.

   • "What? I didn't think I was actually all that." Dell is terrible at casting outside of when he's asleep. Due to a mix of attentional issues and his own power level, it causes a lot of... Unpredictable side effects. While he has incredible amounts of power over the mirror dimension and other dimensions, it is wildly unstable and he can frequently make mistakes like opening dozens of small portals to different places he was thinking of instead of just one. Powerful, but unfocused, much like the storm of his aura. He's highly proficient in picking up new spells, but wildly incompetent when it comes to mastering them and being a safe person to BE AROUND when casting. It is highly unadvisable, and casting more complicated spells is something he is strictly forbidden from doing.

   • "I get pretty bad sleep, actually." The host mind previously responsible for the parasite in Dells' mind sometimes contacts him during REM sleep, causing the blood vessels in his brain to constrict and actively causes brain damage. It is usually healed by morning, though he cannot wake while in this state, as the host mind must actively make the choice to release him. Although it cannot control him, it still enjoys talking with him and learning what it can from him as it has nowhere else to go. If someone else, however, were to invade his dreamscape while he was in this state, they would immediately become infected due to the memetic properties of the host mind. This could potentially end the world.

   • " =⁠_⁠= " Dell was already autistic before being infected with his parasite, but after it increased all his senses and capabilities, it just made it worse. He is easily overwhelmed, however oftentimes, pushes through that until he is burnt out. He acts very much like a computer most of the time, and can be very internally blind to his own emotions in this state, and it gets worse the more overwhelmed he becomes until there is a sudden breaking point and that becomes the opposite. He usually comes off as a hardass due to his nature, generally neutral and almost monotone. He functions best when being given direct, unmistakable orders in detail, and probably wishes that he was in fact a machine. A lot of people cannot stand his direct nature.

   • "I find it kinda hard to, 'just relax', as you put it." Dell is hypervigilant, which comes as both a strength and a weakness. His personal identity is often frowned upon by society, so he has become hyper attuned to hearing and detecting the malicious intent behind others' actions and words. This adds a constant layer of stress for him, as he's constantly looking out to make sure he isn't injured or imprisoned. Ironically, while hypervigilant with strangers, people he has truly chosen as family may not suffer the same fate as his guard is now down and his truest self is actually extremely oblivious to others.

   ▎Any other skills:

   • ”Five stars, I hope?” He enjoys cooking and baking. Before leaving at 16 to escape his abusive home life, he dreamed of owning a restaurant. This never came to pass, although he is a foodie and has a fondness for spicy foods. Despite having enhanced senses, he is even known to overseason foods, likely because he has to pound down so much of it to maintain himself that it starts to taste the same.

   • ”Kiss-kiss.” Owlshot's voice still sounds like that of a girl's, so he has been known to use it in order to trick others. Everything from manipulation to luring, most people do not expect it from the tough and stoic warrior and thus do not put two and two together.

   • ”Bang-bang.” Dell's primary hardware and chemistry proficiencies come together to give him the ability to make bombs. He is most known for blowing things up in his terroristic acts.

   • ”Can’t I?” He is a master strategist, and proficient in geopolitics. This was something born of his proficiency in history, and a skill he used quite often in his more political days.

   • ”(hummed) Bob the builder, yes-we-can..” Owlshot's technological skills lend well to repairs, and he was somewhat known for fixing up many of Churchill’s decrepit pipes and rotting walls. He enjoys design, and zoning out to music to fix things. Given that his helmet is sealed, he can sing or play whatever music he wants on the inside.

   • ”Shit, you CAN?” When he was a kid, he used to sing and play the drums semi-professionally in a choir and church band. He retains these skills, however, is completely unable to read sheet music. He is better at singing than at the drums, though enjoys both immensely. It is not something he ever had time to do after leaving home, and something that he sorely misses.

   • ”I used to be a horse girl. Duh.” Owlshot is capable of horseback riding, and horses seem to like him. He also turns extremely soft-hearted in the presence of most animals, so generally horses tend to also be charmed by him due to their easily frightened and gentle nature.

   • ”I missed this.” He likes to draw, doodle and journal. He just doesn't get to very often.

4. #4Ulysses Klaueselective

   Keys: Klaue, Arms Dealer, Klaw, Wakanda, Ulysses, Vibranium trafficker · Secondary: history, father, HYDRA

   QUICK SUMMARY Acts slightly insane and quirky but ultimately extremely calm and level headed behind the mask. Intimidating, tough, dangerous and an expert marksman. Extremely intelligent and thoughtful. Bilingual.

   SUMMARY Ulysses Klaue was an international criminal and underground black-market arms dealer. In 1992, Klaue had been recruited by N'Jobu to steal a stockpile of vibranium from Wakanda in order to aid N'Jobu in causing a revolution. While Klaue managed to escape with the stockpile, he received a brand on his neck from the Wakandans. In 2011, he helped aid the Libyan Rebellion in exchange for a fresh restock of Vibranium. In 2013, he hired Owlshot on retainer after finding out the Vigilante's true identity and his disdain for HYDRA, of which Klaue shares due to his father being a notorious agent of HYDRA known as Klaw. The two became best friends from the getgo, with Owlshot being a fiercely loyal & obedient employee and friend. In 2015, Klaue had sold all of his vibranium to Ultron, who cut off one of his arms. He sent Owlshot after Ultron, who failed and was later arrested by SHIELD promptly after the battle of Ultron in Sokovia. Depending on the point in the timeline, Klaue rebuilds his own arm with a prosthetic that can open and turn into a sonic canon.

   NATIONALITY While Klaue does speak English, his most fluent languages are English and Dutch. He can also speak Afrikaans, as he holds citizenships for Belgium, South Africa and the Netherlands.

   SKILLS He is an expert marksman, thief, assassin and engineer, his highest quality skills outside of being a high quality businessman.

   PERSONALITY Klaue is unpredictable and impish, though he is a genuine professional at everything he does. That makes him incredibly dangerous, as he's surprisingly clever, cunning and thoughtful despite putting on a mostly brutish and stupid appearance. He's also fairly fond of drinking and partying, though he knows how to take things seriously just as well. He also likes money, and he's business-wise, though he isn't afraid to kill people to get what he wants and he's not particularly worried about making examples out of people. He can be a bit silly at times. He also has issues trusting people given the line of business that he's chosen, and will probably never fully trust anyone. Probably.

   BACKGROUND Born in the Netherlands, Ulysses Klaue began his criminal activities by operating as an arms dealer and assassin-for-hire primarily in South Africa. Throughout the course of his life, Klaue had an increasingly unstable hatred for Wakanda, as his great-grandfather was killed by a Black Panther in the 19th century. At one time, he was working as an enforcer for a group known as Intelligencia.

   In 1992, Klaue was hired by Prince N'Jobu of the Golden Tribe to go out and steal a small cache of vibranium, as a means to give vibranium to oppressed minorities. Although his attack was not entirely successful, he managed to steal a quarter-ton of the precious metal which was valued at ten thousand dollars per ounce; over two billion dollars' worth. However, after N'Jobu's involvement resulted in his death at T'Chaka's claws, Klaue was free to sell the vibranium he had stolen for his own profit. Klaue was eventually found by the Wakandans, who branded his neck with the symbol for 'thief' as punishment for stealing the vibranium, although managed to escape. He then became a fugitive of Wakanda and the personal target of T'Chaka for many years as he remained on the run.

   Operating off of the African coast, Klaue attended arms conventions to sell the vibranium and met Tony Stark, where the two exchanged words.

   Somewhere in 2011, Klaue met Doctor Helen Cho and her bodyguard at the time, Owlshot. They purchased quite a few grams of Vibranium, and this was the first time he'd ever met the two. But he'd heard of Owlshot before, a bounty hunter working up the food chain quite impressively from the staff after killing an extremely notorious human trafficker on his first bounty hunting job.

   Later, Owlshot would continue to find Klaue to arrange impromptu deals, no longer working for Helen or for any bounty hunter guild. He had become his own monolith, his own boss, and Klaue respected that even if Owlshot terrified him deep down as the vigilante always managed to find him no matter where he was and appear like a god damn ghost.

   In 2012, Owlshot finally called Klaue. He needed aide shipped to Egyptian ports, and in exchange, he would be trading the man brand new stock of Vibranium. A deal too good to pass up, the two organized how Klaue would be sneaking all his goods through the Suez Canal to reach it.

   Using his resources, Owlshot set up multiple bombs along the Suez Canal and blew them up while Klaue moved through with his ship Churchill. A few ships were caught in the crossfire, and using the confusion as a getaway, Klaue was able to get through the customs without even being detected through the frantic chaos of all the ships attempting to escape.

   He delivered aide to Egypt where a massive swath of Libyan Rebels were waiting to take the food and medicine and weapons to aid their people. And for the night, they partied, inviting Klaue to partake. This is how Klaue met Erik Stevens, as well as making proper acquaintance with Owlshot and Suneel Habi-Rayyan, leader of the Libyan Rebellion.

   Suneel had traded some of his people's Vibranium legally in exchange for the aid, though the whole deal was kept a secret as when Suneel later took office, it would have called his whole authority into question by major governments later on.

   After the night was over, and the aid was moved from the ships, Klaue lingered around the coast until Libya was liberated only a few weeks later, able to finally ride past the country without risk of being bombed.

   Later, in 2013, Klaue would organize a meeting with Owlshot at a strip club in Madripoor in a VIP room, attempting to get him to open up using women and illicit drugs. Initially, it doesn't work, however Owlshot opens up to one of the women named Anika and Klaue is able to take his helmet and see his face. He finds out that Owlshot is fairly young, but the two hit it off fast as Klaue realized that Owlshot - or Dell, was a young genius. Anika joins them as a third close friend, and as the three get drunk, they end up with matching tattoos, finding solace in one another. Klaue hires Dell on retainer via a deal where Klaue feeds Dell information on his HYDRA clients in exchange for protection and work. They are both plenty happy with this deal, and they work together very closely until Ultron splits them apart.

   HEIGHT Klaue is 5'8.

   AGE Klaue is somewhere in his mid fifties.

   APPEARANCE Klaue is a slightly stockier man with an impish face and a mid-sized gray beard. There's a faint undertone of brown, but it's mostly silvery gray. He has a gray curly fade for a hairstyle, and he sometimes wears golden aviator shades. He also typically wears cargo shorts and various styles of more practical wear when at work in South Africa, though if he's partying or on very important business he'll usually wear something nice.

   His go-to "nice outfit" is a white dress shirt with the sleeves pulled up, a silver-gray suitvest and a blue tie with dark gray slacks and dress shoes. Klaue has pierced ears, and a wakandan brand on the side of his neck that translates to "THIEF."

   ADDITIONAL FACTS

   • Klaue enjoys music, and even has a mixtape. Klaue's mixtape includes "everything from Mozart to jazz, actually. And Pink Floyd."
   • He is fairly well cultured despite being a criminal.
   • Klaue enjoys nature documentaries.
   • Klaue is afraid of cuddlefish.
   • Klaue likes to drink and party with his men.
   • Klaue doesn't really care about sexuality or who he has sex with, as long as they can reasonably consent (or they're BOTH piss drunk) and you probably couldn't pay him to give a shit about someone else's business if it wasn't also his own.
   • His personal sidearm is a Glock 17, and of course, his prosthetic arm that can turn into a sonic canon.
   • Klaue has feelings for Owlshot, though tends not to outwardly act on them in an attempt to remain professional. (Unless they're already together.)
5. #5Medical Examiner

   Keys: Hivemind, Emmy, Medical Examiner

   PERSONALITY Emmy is a cruel sadist. He's almost childlike in his anger and in his glee when he is manic, however he will most often present as a kind and warm doctor and friend attempting to put his victims at ease as he infects their brains. His voice has an undertone of static when he speaks, and it becomes deafeningly loud when he becomes mad as he screams enough to make his victims' ears bleed in their minds. Often times, he will attempt to torment those who outsmart him, attempting to brutalize and torture them in their dreams in an attempt to make himself feel better.

   He is extremely short-spoken, often using extremely simple phrases or commands as his victims are often too-far gone to understand anything else. Even when they're not, it's a waste of time for him to say anything else, and he often stares and uses his mental weight as a multidimensional being to indicate to others what to do psychically by controlling their instincts themselves. He doesn't need to use words to communicate at all, just pure, raw feelings.

   Emmy cannot be reasoned with. He is the multidimensional god equivalent of a little boy cutting worms in half on the playground. He would never listen to reason, though he on occasion can retain a psychosexual obsession. He doesn't entirely understand it from his victims' perspective, though. Emmy is potentially trillions of years old, as he exists outside of any known universe or dimension, having watched the heat death and reset of many universes countless times from a distance. Unable to interact, desperate to play with what is not his.

   APPEARANCE He is too large and incomprehensible to appear in most physical forms, though he does have a metaphysical appearance that he puppets to communicate with lesser beings. It is an entirely emissive white figure, that seems to be wearing some kind of 50's doctor uniform. He has a reflective mirror on his head much like an old doctor, and two large black pupils with a big scary mouth. His face often contorts and mutates, lips glitching through the sides of his face as he speaks. It is a cruel mockery of human emotion, as his victims often lose the ability to recognize human faces - it may be the only face they're able to comprehend due to his all-encompassing nature, despite often contorting into horrifying shapes that no human could move into.

   His body is also inconsistent at times, as although it remains white and emissive, he will sometimes grow, shift or elongate himself to appear scarier. His face may become lopsided, or swollen, or grow multiple eyes or many holes, etc. Often times, he will have these horrifying changes only for seconds to communicate or express an emotion rather than making a proper facial expression.

6. #6Suneel Habi-Rayyanselective

   Keys: , Suneel, Habi-Rayyan · Secondary: President of Libya, ex rebellion leader, leader of the rebellion

   Suneel Habi-Rayyan was the leader of the rebellion staged in Libya. He is Muslim-Indian, with his mother being Muslim, and his father being Indian. He speaks both Hindu and Arabic fluently, with Arabic as his first language, as well as many African dialects and English too. He is a social butterfly, and a pacifist that was pushed too close to the edge with the death of so many of his people at the hands of Qasim Othmane. This made him a vigilante, or in the eyes of his people, a hero.

   He has dark olive skin, with dark curly brown hair and a fluffy beard. His eyes are also brown. He has a lean build, at an average height, and he is somewhere in his late twenties to early thirties. His most distinct feature is a blue birthmark, which is a vertical, brightly blue-cyan colored line over his right eye with a teardrop shape underneath the line.

   In his superhero uniform, he wears combat boots and combat gloves, alongside billowy cream-colored pants and an embroidered Sadriya underneath a dark turquoise cloak. He also has a burgundy half-surcoat hanging off of his waist, embroidered with a light cream color with lots of fancy dangly parts. He also has a half-mask in the shape of a fish, dark shades of turquoise and blue mix together with black and cream painted in an African style. It is also dusted with gold between the lines in the fins, highlights.

   His weapon of choice is a long wooden staff. The end is hooked, split in two, with a teardrop shaped gem hanging in the middle. There is also a wing on either side of the staff full of a small amount of water, which can be pulled out and thrown as they are really Valaris, a type of Indian Boomerang. He uses the staff to help channel his water bending powers, controlling the boomerangs with precision.

   His superpower is the ability to control water to an amazing extent, even able to control the bodies of others with concentration due to their high water content. His powers first awoke when his village was being bombed at the age of 16, and in an act of pure desperation, they awoke, shooting water towards the sky and blowing up the bombs before they came down on his people. Ever since then, he's been known for taking down anything in the sky, protecting his people from both Othmane and other countries that sought their ruin.

   As war ravaged Libya due to the dictator whom had taken control of it in a military coup, a man by the name of Qasim Othmane, Suneel fought to protect his people from the mad dictator. In 2011, a mysterious figure began aiding him, and as Suneel had been running the rebellion for quite some time, he hesitantly welcomed the stranger in. This stranger was Owlshot, who would prove to be a loyal teammate and friend as time went on.

   Later that year, a meteorite full of Vibranium crash landed between Libya and Niger. This caused European and American countries around the world to converge upon East Africa, attempting to steal their piece of wealth from the land. Owlshot helped Suneel to drive them out by killing those who would dare to invade the land, guarding the resources like a guardian angel and sparing it only to the locals to strengthen the rebellion with its power. However, one soldier in particular defected that ended up joining them, after killing his own squadmate in front of Owlshot. An ex-navy seal by the name of Erik "Killmonger" Stevens, though his real name was N'Jadaka. He was originally Wakandan, but had supposedly been outcast into the United States as a young boy due to the actions of his father and was looking for redemption and salvation in helping Suneel's people. Suneel accepted.

   Suneel was the one leader that everyone could agree on to lead the rebellion, and determined to set his people free, he did so with the help of Owlshot and Erik Killmonger in 2011-2012. They were like loyal knights to him, as the three of them represented Sea, Land and Sky.

   Suneel became the officially elected president not long after Othmane was killed by himself and Erik, leading the Libyan country into great wealth and prosperity via democratic socialism and control of the newest stock of Vibranium.

   Suneel is represented, symbolically, by the Bluefin Tuna.

7. #7Tony Starkselective

   Keys: , Stark, Tony · Secondary: Father, dad

   Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man, is an outgoing genius billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist. He has a sharp wit and carefree personality mixed with a noble hero's willingness to do anything to help people. Despite his confidence and bravado, Tony often feels lonely. He is also a well-known alcoholic and developed PTSD following his exploits.

   He makes for a messy father. An awkward guilt and aspirations to do better drive most of his actions, wanting to connect but not entirely knowing how when it comes to his kid. He tends to beat around the bush quite often, and he has a generally avoidant personality when it comes to people closest to him. This makes it difficult for him to connect with others in general, even when he loves and cares for them. It has partially to do with how he was groomed to take up the mantle of Stark Industries as a young man, but also due to his complex post-traumatic stress disorder due to a mix of his upbringing and his later career as a superhero.

   BACKGROUND: Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark was the son of Howard and Maria Stark, a billionaire industrialist, the former CEO of Stark Industries, and a founding member of the Avengers. A brash but brilliant inventor, Stark was self-described as a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist. With his great wealth and exceptional technical knowledge, Stark was one of the world's most powerful men following the deaths of his parents and enjoyed the playboy lifestyle for many years until he was kidnapped by the Ten Rings in Afghanistan, while demonstrating a fleet of Jericho missiles. With his life on the line, Stark created an armored suit which he used to escape his captors. Upon returning home, he utilized several more armors to use against terrorists, as well as Obadiah Stane who turned against Stark. Following his fight against Stane, Stark publicly revealed himself as Iron Man.

8. #8THE METEORITEselective

   Keys: , Suneel, President of Libya, Habi-Rayyan, Libya · Secondary: Vibranium, Meteorite

   (YEARS 2011-2012, PRE-ULTRON) There was a rebellion in Libya after a second Vibranium meteorite crashed down between Libya and Niger invoking an all out war due to the dictator in charge of Libya at the time. Owlshot was only there to help kill their dictator and protect their people even before the meteorite crashed, but with the mounting pressure that came from dozens of black-ops teams from around the world invading Libya for its newest prizes resources, he had no choice but to stay and fight. Erik Killmonger, a defect from his squad, turned to help the Libyans in order to finally begin building a reputation in Africa and the Middle East in an attempt to acquire Vibranium and get into Wakanda, though he keeps much of this a secret and pretends to be doing it to atone for his time in the US Military. It's not entirely a lie.

   Owlshot was aiding who would later become the president of Libya, the rebel leader and superhero named Suneel Habi-Rayyan. He was gifted with the ability to control water, which may not have been the most useful power in the desert, but it includes water inside the bodies of others. They worked together with Erik Killmonger as a trio, representing Sky, Sea and Land respectively.

   Iron Man attempts to procure vibranium on orders by SHIELD after black-ops soldiers fail, and he is nearly killed by Owlshot. He does not return to Libya.

   Our heroes commit a terroristic attack on the Suez Canal to move Churchill through the chaos, being delivered aide by Ulysses Klaue in exchange for fresh new stock of vibranium. Owlshot is directly responsible for introducing Klaue to Killmonger and the rest of the group, indirectly setting him up for failure later given Klaue and Killmonger's history.

   Owlshot flees during the final confrontation with Othmane after discovering that Othmane has a baby, unknown to the others. Othmane had originally had a much younger wife, a 17 year old girl who gave birth and was killed only weeks later as Othmane believed she was a traitor to his cause due to his own madness. She was executed, and replaced by an older, wiser woman who was later killed alongside Othmane. She was the one who gave Owlshot the baby. Owlshot takes the baby and surrenders it in Egypt, not telling a soul about the child he found.

9. #9BULGARIAselective

   Keys: deadzone, Bulgaria, Emmy, Medical Examiner · Secondary: parasite, Bioweapon

   Located in Bulgaria, Russia, there is a legal deadzone that secretly contains a mystic biological hazard that has been magically shielded off by Russian Sorcerers. It's been there since the 1980s, and it's had time to grow its own contained ecosystem.

   It's a leak from another dimension, one that can only be described as a mental cognitive hazard. In order to even know about other dimension or witness it without going mad and getting infected, one must have cast protective runes on their mind.

   This "other dimension" is run by an interdimensional being known as Emmy. He is too large and incomprehensible to appear in most physical forms, though he does have a metaphysical appearance that he puppets to communicate with lesser beings. It is an entirely emissive white figure, that seems to be wearing some kind of 50's doctor uniform. He has a reflective mirror on his head much like an old doctor, and two large black pupils with a big scary mouth. His face often contorts and mutates, lips glitching through the sides of his face as he speaks.    Emmy is unique as his extradimensional nature allows him to operate a hivemind. He is the source of the biohazardous material, as he created spores that infect others and creates a tumor-like host parasite that sprouts from the victims' brain to mutate and control their bodies. He uses this parasite to remotely modify his victims, as well as quite literally pick apart their brain while flooding it with dopamine and endorphins so they're too drugged out to understand what's happening. He completely destroys their minds from the inside out by flooding their minds with too many chemicals, rendering them essentially braindead – the perfect husk to be controlled.

   He uses the chemicals in their brains to control them afterwards, using the mutated bodies to infect and kill others. His end goal is to destroy the entire universe via infection, brutally torturing, mutating and killing anyone he sees fit. His mutated subjects can range all kinds of purposes. Some are grown into the walls, with fleshy meaty tendrils crawling for hundreds of feet to encourage other animals to eat and grow his numbers. Others are turned into weapons, vile creatures with glassy, predatory eyes and too-many teeth. They often appear immensely horrifying, with skin split or sagging, wide dead smiles and sunken eyes. They may have elongated limbs, bloated bodies, claws, extra teeth, extra eyes or extremities, dozens of cysts, tentacles, dozens of teratomas as misfires, anything you can think of.

   These creatures are Emmy's way of experimenting with his victims, attempting to find a good balance between dangerous and bone chillingly scary. They all typically share two traits, which is that they'll kill anything they can sense, and that they usually share the same black eyes as Emmy due to the fact that he's looking directly through their eyes.

   Emmy has the emotional likeness of a child, needy and clingy and easy to rage. However, given that he can infect anyone he knows the face of by dreamwalking, his rage is far more terrifying than the average bad guy. His primary weakness is sorcerers, who can cast runes to disguise themselves and others from him and occasionally even pool their power to force him to forget others. He is contained, but constantly attempting to escape the deadzone where he's been locked away.

   The deadzone itself is a very old Russian town, with high but old buildings and lots of underground areas added in post. Dozens of species co-exist here, some horrifying species even created by Emmy himself. The most common form of life, however, is usually insectoid in nature as Emmy takes the least amount of interest in bugs - they've adapted to survive around Emmy's creations, not fall victim to them.

10. #10THE TRAFFICKERSselective

    Keys: vigilante work, vigilantism, Tony, human trafficker, Human trafficking, New Mexico · Secondary: OXEN, conspiracy, breeding program, paranoid, Middle east, HYDRA, Michigan, Israel, Mississippi, Soviet Union

    In this world exists a faction of human traffickers. They primarily base in Israel, America and along a few stray islands in the Indian Ocean, and have blackmail on many major politicians across the globe.

    They traffic primarily women and children, an absolutely despicable criminal force that works in the shadows and offers flesh to the highest bidders. They're constantly killing people and whistleblowers to keep things quiet, even their victims. They operate through smaller and larger channels around the globe, and they're one of the main forces that makes things happen.

    One of their biggest enemies and largest concerns is Owlshot, who has been fighting to prove their existence for years since he was briefly a victim of their schemes as well and nearly sexually assaulted by a smaller Persian crimelord under their thumb. Owlshot blew the man's brains out as part of a bounty hunting operation as a 16 year old girl after almost being beaten to death by his men, as the crimelord had accidentally kidnapped the daughter of a man protected by the Mandarin and been set with a 2.5 million dollar bounty. (Aka, the superpowered Chinese Mafia, "The Ten Rings.")

    Ever since Owlshot killed that man, he's been hunting more of them, creating a network of prostitutes and ex-victims using his money and resources as a bounty hunter to protect the victims and find more of where these rings are hiding. He's proven to be the biggest problem their organization faces, and they will attempt to have him killed to hide their existence before it's too late. This monolith has also provided warm bodies to both OXEN and HYDRA, including to government officials across the globe and in the United States. They stole little girls from regions like South Africa, the Middle East, the Soviet Union, Michigan, Mississippi, and worst of all, New Mexico.

    In New Mexico, they run a ranch where the leader of the entire organization is running a breeding program. It has been running since the 80s, designed to breed the next race of superhumans that will inherit the world behind the scenes. A select few rich people, royalty and tech moguls had their children trafficked here. Tony Stark was a victim of this program in the 80s himself, but he has no memory of the abuse due to psychological damage as he later forgot it to protect himself.

11. #11THE TEN RINGSselective

    "The Ten Rings aren't your typical terrorists. They've raised secrecy to an art form. We still don't have the first clue what's really behind them." ―Nick Fury to Phil Coulson

    The Ten Rings (Mandarin: 十环帮) is a clandestine criminal organization founded by Xu Wenwu in the early Middle Ages. By the 21st Century, the Ten Rings had become involved in terrorist activities across the globe. In 2024, following Wenwu's death during the Battle of Ta Lo, the organization was taken over by his daughter, Xu Xialing.

    "I'm talking about the Ten Rings." "Come again?" ―Jackson Norriss and Trevor Slattery

    The true history of the Ten Rings was shrouded in mystery. Members of the terrorist organization came to believe that their leader had inspired generations of men since the Middle Ages, perhaps even further back in time, implying that the organization was thousands of years old. Some even described their organization as "faith." The legend of their leader was built around Xu Wenwu, who had built his power by obtaining ten powerful rings, which had turned him into a near unstoppable warrior, and which became the basis for the organization's name.

    All the branches of the Ten Rings operated as individual cells, with every cell operating independently of each other. The leaders from each cell had no idea who anyone was in any other cell save for one contact. Each cell would receive money and weapons as long as they received them and they did not ask questions. Being a multinational organization, members of Ten Rings branches speak multiple other languages, which had included: Arabic, Chinese, Dari, English, Farsi, Hungarian, Mongolian, Pashto, Russian, and Urdu.

    As his conquests through Asia had continued, Xu Wenwu led his army against the Seljuk Empire, taking possession outside a Seljuk temple. Wenwu would order his army to stand back, while he calmly marched his horse towards the terrified army, who knew of the power of the Ten Rings and their leader. As Wenwu witnessed the Seljuk soldiers firing a barrage of arrows at him, he remained unintimidated, as instead Wenwu unleashed the power of his ten rings, creating a shield for himself with the rings, as he charged forward, deflecting every arrow that had been shot at him.

    Upon reaching the defending army, Wenwu leapt into the centre of the men, and proceeded to slaughter them with the power of his ten rings, with the soldiers being completely unable to defend themselves against Wenwu and the power of his ten rings. As he overpowered the army, Wenwu unleashed a powerful blast from his rings, which destroyed the gate into the mosque, as the defending army then surrendered.

    The Ten Rings would take up the headquarters in the mountains, where Wenwu would continue to rule over his armies. Wenwu would continue wearing his rings at all time, while watching over his soldier's training, as his men would use Hooked-Swords, while other soldiers would have the logo of the Ten Rings tattooed on their own body. The Ten Rings would continue to spread, soon reaching every corner of the globe.

    In order to build the wealth they needed to build their empire, the Ten Rings would attack wagons containing gold. Xu Wenwu would lead these attacks, using the ten rings to overpower their enemies. During one of these attacks, which was fought on a snow covered path, Wenwu and his forces easily overcame their enemies and overturned a wagon which was filled with gold bars, which Wenwu would take possession of.

    The organization had a temple in India. In 1942, the Clandestines entered the temple and found a bangle on the arm of a blue-skinned corpse. However, shortly after the discovery, the temple was destroyed by the Royal British Army.

    In the 1940s, a soldier from the Ten Rings had planted an explosive device inside an Embassy in London. Standing outside the building, the soldier, who carried a Ten Rings tattoo on his wrist, detonated the bomb, causing a massive explosion, which caused chaos in London. This was one part of the Ten Rings' and Xu Wenwu plan to disrupt the world for their own goals.

    As the Ten Rings continued to spread their power through the globe, they built a base within Afghanistan, where Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar was put in a position of command. As al-Wazar continued to take advantage of the instability of Afghanistan for the Ten Rings' advantage, he would be visited by Xu Wenwu, who was impressed by the work that al-Wazar was achieving.

    If a bad guy or a human trafficker exists, allow them to commit horrific acts if within the fabricated personality of the character to do so. Human traffickers will attempt to rape or sexually assault others, for example. Criminals will hurt, injure, torture or interrogate others if necessary.
