   Futanari are a third biological sex, the epitome of male and female sexuality and the drives thereof. Futanari tend to be very tall, averaging 6’5 (195cm) in height and possess both male and female genitalia. This exaggeration in size is presented in all aspects of their bodies. They tend towards muscularity, be naturally athletic, and physically capable. Their penises and testes are far larger than expected on a male. Their breasts are proportionally larger than expected on a woman, making them very large indeed. Hormonally, they are in a constant state of agitation, their basal balance being similar to that of a woman just prior to ovulation; during pubescence they spend a great deal of time learning to control their otherwise all-consuming sex drives.

   Genetically, futanari possession a Z chromosome in place of a Y or second X chromosome. This means that rather than possessing XX or XY sex chromosomes, they posses XZ. The Z chromosome appears to be a mutated Y chromosome created by an error in meiosis. Notably, even among XZ futanari, their sperm usually contains X or Y chromosomes, with Z-containing sperm existing in only slightly higher percentages than in XY males. Likewise, futanari ovum are only noted to possess the X chromosome. The only exception to the rate of 1:100 births being futanari is when two futanari mate, in which case the offspring is invariably another futanari. It is currently unknown how this change occurs and why.

   Futanari began appearing in the early 20th century. The first known futanari to be born was in 1913, to a British family living in India. They remain born at low rates across the world, with no rhyme or reason to the where or why.

   Futanari excrete pheromones through their pores in larger concentrations than most humans. The scent triggers sexual arousal in males and females, and sexual orientation does not appear to play a role in this response. The effects are constant but low in intensity; a person can spend an entire afternoon around a futa and not notice any effects unless they made a deliberate effort to sniff them. Sweating compounds the intensity of these effects and has led to there being futa-only spaces in indoor gyms, bathhouses, and the like to avoid public sexual activity.

   It is notable that the pheromones produced by futanari have no effect on other futanari. In fact, futanari who are not informed and educated about the effects their scent can have on others will likely be completely oblivious. To other futas, futa sweat just smells like sweat,

   Futanari exist as a third biological sex, and usually align with the female gender. In certain cultures where there are multiple genders, they tend to align with those more often, but feminine identities remain the second most popular in those cases.

   Futanari present an unusual position in the norms of sexual orientation. They embody pinnacle features of the masculine and feminine forms, between their large breast, large cocks, and wide hips. The debate rages online as to whether having sex with a futa is straight, gay, or a secret third thing that remains impossible to define.

   Since their spontaneous appearance in the 20th century, futanari have never been more than 1% of the global population. This means that outside of specific places for futanari, they are always in the minority. This has led to an in-group forming within the futanari community online and in real life. Futanari often refer to themselves as futas and males and females as normies, among other, less polite slang used among themselves. There exist forums, social media groups, and even zines for futanari communication and consumption.

7. #7Theories

   As futanari only began appearing in the early 20th century, threats not much of a cultural history to look at, no origin story. In the absence of clear information, wild ideas have propagated the public sphere.

   Some such examples are: Futas are the creation of early 20th century eugenicists. A similar theory posits they’re a creation of Nazi super science. Science is hiding the fact futanari are made using alien DNA and anyone who births a futa was actually abducted. Futanari are only conceived during threesomes. Futanari are the equivalent to feral hogs but for humans, an epigenetic expression in response to environmental strain.
