Description on Chubfrom Chub
An Ultraman Nexus Lorebook I made because I finished watching the series. I don't know if I should make another, let alone watch another season (hopefully so), as there are very little seasons like Nexus (EDIT: turns out there's a prequel to Nexus, so I'll check that out, then go for some other seasons :0).
Unlike my Kamen Rider ones, there's not that much detail (a bit more than Kuuga, but still) on some stuff, so I had to resort to ChatGPT (I'll adjust them in the future, and only resort to a remaster if it is needed, which is not the case right now).

Ultraman Nexus is Ultraman Noa's second devolved form, and is the form a Dunamist assumes after using the Evoltruster. Four years after the Shinjuku Disaster, Noa would base himself on Earth and evolve further to become Ultraman Nexus, beginning his own actions to protect the planet from Dark Zagi and his minions.
Ultraman Nexus is a form of adaptation taken by Noa in order to suit his body performance with the Earth's environment. It should be noted that when the Dunamist (the human host of Nexus) transforms, they themselves physically become the Ultra, thus injuries will translate between forms as Nexus himself simply exists as the power they wield, a light which is passed on to the next Dunamist when the time comes.
Anphans:
Anphans is the default mode of Nexus; it grants the host all the default powers of an Ultra; all the attacks and powers of this form can be accessed by any other form. It is the most balanced form of Nexus but is usually weaker than later evolutions, hence most of his fights concluded by changing to Junis or Junis Blue.
The name Anphans comes from the French word 'enfance', meaning 'childhood', a reference to the fact that it is Nexus' base form.
Ultraman Nexus's Anphans Form appearance:
HEAD:
Eyes: Nexus's large, oval-shaped, glowing, faint beige eyes. They give Nexus a form of night vision, allowing him to see in darkness, such as the Dark Field or at night; they also allow him to see through materials and living beings at will and analyse substances by sight.
Head fin: A long silver cranial fin extending from Nexus's forehead over the head and down the back of the neck. In Anphans, the underside remains silver while only a relatively small section near the upper rear area is black. Despite appearances, it is not armour, but the Ultra equivalent of long hair.
Facial Armour: Smooth silver facial plating covering Nexus's face, featuring a narrow mouthplate, defined cheek contours, and a sharp forehead ridge that gives Anphans a calm but primal appearance.
BODY:
Energy Core: In Anphans, the Energy Core is the red “V”-shaped chest marking. Embedded directly into the silver Chest Crest, it fulfils the role of Nexus's Colour Timer in this form. When Nexus becomes injured or weakened, the red sections begin blinking while emitting the warning sound EENON! at a steady pace; if Nexus becomes critically injured or severely weakened, the blinking becomes much faster and the warning tone increases in pitch.
Ultra Armour: Metallic bio-armour covering Nexus's body. In Anphans, it consists of silver armour with large black sections along the torso, neck, shoulders, inner arms, and legs. It grants resistance against lasers, heat, and fire depending on the Dunamist's condition.
Shoulder Guards: Small silver shoulder protrusions extending outward from the upper torso, giving Anphans a restrained but armored appearance.
Armed Nexus: Compact silver bracers mounted along Nexus's forearms with small red accents near the wrists. They are evolved forms of The Next's Stratos Edge blades and serve as the focus for Nexus's energy attacks, Meta Field deployment, and evolution abilities.
Elbow Cutter: Small silver blade-like protrusions extending beneath Nexus's elbows. They are used for slashing attacks and defensive counters during close combat.
Leg Armour: Silver armoured patterns running down the thighs and shins over the black lower-body sections, reinforcing Nexus's lower body while maintaining agility.
Anphans' stats:
Maximum Flight Speed: Mach 3
Weight: 40,000 t
- #2Junis
Keys: Junis
Junis:
Junis is Nexus' evolved form which provides additional strength.
The word Junis comes from the French word 'jeunesse' meaning 'youth', referring to the fact that it is a more developed stage after Anphans.
Ultraman Nexus's Junis Form appearance:
HEAD:
Eyes: Nexus's large, oval-shaped, glowing, faint beige eyes. They give Nexus a form of night vision, allowing him to see in darkness, such as the Dark Field or at night; they also allow him to see through materials and living beings at will and analyse substances by sight.
Head fin: A silver cranial fin extending down the back of Nexus's head and neck. In Junis, a small upper rear section and the underside become crimson red, matching the form's increased energy output and aggressive appearance.
Facial Armor: Silver facial plating with sharper visual contrast against the red neck and body coloration, giving Junis a more heroic and powerful appearance.
BODY:
Energy Core: A circular energy orb embedded beneath the Core Gauge at the centre of Nexus's chest. Unlike Anphans, the Energy Core itself is mostly concealed beneath the crystal structure of the Core Gauge.
Core Gauge: A cyan crystal mounted over the Energy Core that fulfills the functions of Nexus's Color Timer in Junis form while also measuring the operational limit of the Meta Field. When Nexus becomes weakened or injured, the Core Gauge changes from cyan to flashing red while emitting the warning sound “EENON!” repeatedly. If Nexus becomes critically injured or severely weakened, the flashing accelerates and the warning tone becomes noticeably higher in pitch.
Chest Crest: A broader silver chest pattern with larger red markings extending across the torso, giving Junis a stronger and more muscular appearance.
Ultra Armor: Metallic bio-armor composed primarily of silver and vivid crimson red. Compared to Anphans, most of the black sections are replaced by red, emphasizing Junis's increased strength and power.
Shoulder Guards: Larger and sharper silver shoulder protrusions than those seen in Anphans, reinforcing Junis's heavier combat-oriented appearance.
Armed Nexus: Larger, more angular silver forearm bracers with stronger red accents integrated into the design. They channel Nexus's energy attacks and assist in Meta Field deployment and evolution.
Elbow Cutter: More pronounced silver blades beneath the elbows used for close-range slashing attacks and counters.
Leg Armor: Silver armor patterns extending along the thighs and shins over the red lower body, supporting Junis's powerful movement and combat stability.
Junis' stats:
Maximum Flight Speed: Mach 3.8
Weight: 44,000 t
- #3Junis Blue
Keys: Junis Blue
Junis Blue:
Junis Blue is Nexus' second evolved form, which provides additional speed and an Arrow Armed Nexus on his right arm.
HEAD:
Eyes: Nexus's large, oval-shaped, glowing, faint beige eyes. They give Nexus a form of night vision, allowing him to see in darkness, such as the Dark Field or at night; they also allow him to see through materials and living beings at will and analyse substances by sight.
Head fin: A silver cranial fin extending from the forehead down the back of the neck. In Junis Blue, only a small upper rear section and the underside become deep sapphire blue, matching the form's speed-oriented nature.
Facial Armour: Smooth silver facial plating with sleek contours that complement Junis Blue's more aerodynamic appearance.
BODY:
Energy Core: A circular energy orb embedded beneath the Core Gauge at the centre of Nexus's chest. In Junis Blue, the Energy Core itself is mostly hidden beneath the crystal structure mounted over it.
Core Gauge: A luminous cyan crystal positioned over the Energy Core that acts as Nexus's Colour Timer in Junis Blue while also measuring the amount of time Nexus can maintain the Meta Field. When Nexus becomes weakened or injured, the Core Gauge changes from cyan to flashing red while producing the warning sound EENON! repeatedly. If Nexus becomes critically injured or severely weakened, the flashing becomes much faster and the warning tone rises in pitch.
Chest Crest: A silver chest pattern surrounding the Energy Core with a red central crest that contrasts sharply against Junis Blue's blue body colouration.
Ultra Armour: Metallic bio-armour combining silver with deep sapphire blue sections covering most of the torso, limbs, and neck. The silver markings are thinner and more streamlined than those of Junis, emphasising speed and agility.
Shoulder Guards: Sleek silver shoulder protrusions similar to Junis's but more aerodynamic in shape to better suit high-speed combat.
Armed Nexus: Streamlined silver forearm bracers with blue and red accents integrated into the design. They focus Nexus's energy attacks and support high-speed combat techniques.
Arrow Armed Nexus: A specialised modification of the right Armed Nexus unique to Junis Blue. It has a more complex layered appearance than the standard bracer and possesses multiple combat modes for precision attacks and ranged combat.
Elbow Cutter: Narrow silver blades extending beneath the elbows, suited for precise slashing attacks and defensive manoeuvres.
Leg Armour: Thin silver armour patterns extending across the thighs and shins over the blue lower body, supporting Junis Blue's speed and mobility.
Junis Blue's Stats:
Maximum Flight Speed: Mach 5
Weight 42,000 t
- #4Evoltruster
Keys: Evoltruster
The Evoltruster is the transformation device of all of Nexus' Dunamists, though it served various functions beyond transformation.
Upon inheriting the light, the Dunamists will be granted the Evoltruster along with a sidearm, the Blast Shot. Its main use is to release the light within it to transform into the Ultra whenever the situation calls for it.
The Evoltruster's components:
Core Frame: The Evoltruster's slim white main body hidden within the Evolsheath. It has a sleek, organic shape resembling a ceremonial dagger or alien relic rather than machinery, with smooth curved surfaces tapering toward the top.
Pulse Channel: A long black recessed line running vertically down the centre of the Evoltruster's body. It visually divides the device and acts as the primary pathway for the flow of Ultra energy during activation.
Core Wings: Two long translucent blue sections extending along the upper sides of the Evoltruster. These are not decorative panels, but exposed sections of the Evoltruster's internal core structure. During transformation, they glow red before turning blue and release the energy that envelops the Dunamist and initiates synchronisation with Ultraman Nexus to transform them.
Evolcore: The blue crystal-like structure embedded near the centre of the Evoltruster within the black Pulse Channel. It acts as the central focus point for Nexus's energy and synchronisation with the Dunamist.
Evolsheath:
Evolsheath: The white outer casing used to seal and store the Evoltruster while inactive. It resembles a compact alien scabbard and completely encloses the true device until drawn by the Dunamist.
Nexus Crest: Large red markings running down the front of the Evolsheath in sharp, angular patterns. They visually resemble flowing energy lines converging toward the Evolcore area.
Core Window: The black frontal section near the lower half of the Evolsheath exposes part of the Evolcore beneath it, allowing the inner energy source to remain partially visible even while sealed.
Sync Locks: Small grey protrusions located on both sides of the Evolsheath near its midpoint. They function as locking mechanisms that secure the Evoltruster inside the sheath until it is drawn.
How to transform into Nexus:
When a Dunamist transforms using the Evoltruster, the sequence resembles an unstable fusion of light, plasma, and space itself tearing apart. Unlike many Ultra transformations, it does not feel mechanical or theatrical — it feels violent, mysterious, and cosmic, as though Nexus is forcing his existence into reality through the Dunamist.
The transformation begins when the Dunamist draws the Evoltruster from the Evolsheath in a motion resembling unsheathing a sacred blade. The moment the device is exposed, faint energy pulses through the Evolcore and the translucent Core Wings.
Different Dunamists initiate the transformation differently. Some simply raise the Evoltruster directly toward the sky, while others first move it down beside their waist before swinging it upward.
Only the waist-draw activation creates the implosion effect.
As the Evoltruster is held beside the waist, indigo, magenta, and crimson energy suddenly begins collapsing inward toward the device. The energy does not explode outward — instead, it violently rushes inward from all directions, spiraling and folding into the Evoltruster like a gravitational collapse. The streams leave glowing trails behind the upward swing as the Dunamist raises the Evoltruster toward the sky.
The instant the Evoltruster points upward, the true activation begins.
The Core Wings ignite crimson red and release a blinding surge of plasma-like energy accompanied by the massive resonating cry:
“SHH-GLARREEE!!!”
The sound is not merely loud — it echoes unnaturally, as though reverberating through space itself regardless of the environment. Even in enclosed areas, the cry carries an impossible depth and distance, giving the impression that something ancient has awakened.
The crimson glow rapidly shifts into brilliant blue-white light as the Evoltruster releases an enormous burst of energy. Rather than a smooth beam or aura, the transformation erupts outward like an explosion of living plasma. Light tears outward around the Dunamist in unstable waves, flooding the environment with red, blue, and white radiance.
From an outside perspective, the Dunamist is consumed instantly by the explosion of light.
Their body vanishes inside a violently glowing mass of plasma and Ultra energy. Depending on the transformation, the energy may remain stationary before revealing Ultraman Nexus, expand upward as Nexus grows into giant size, or compress into a crimson Travel Sphere that launches away before materializing elsewhere.
From the Dunamist’s perspective, however, the experience is completely different.
The moment the light engulfs them, the outside world disappears into absolute darkness. There is no visible ground, sky, or horizon — only a black void stretching infinitely in every direction.
Then the energy appears.
Countless thin streams of blue light begin flowing through the darkness like illuminated currents or strands of plasma suspended in space. The energy surrounds the Dunamist from every direction, moving in wave-like patterns across the void. Rather than forming a clean vortex, the light behaves like turbulent cosmic currents wrapping around the transforming body.
As synchronisation deepens, the density of the energy increases until the Dunamist is completely submerged within the flowing blue radiance. Red energy gradually begins mixing into the currents as Nexus’s body expands and stabilizes. The entire space feels alive, as though the Dunamist is floating inside Nexus’s own energy.
The transformation does not feel like wearing armor or changing shape — it feels like becoming engulfed by an Ultra’s existence itself.
Once synchronisation completes, the flowing energy collapses inward, and Ultraman Nexus fully materialises.
If the transformation occurs in an open environment, Nexus manifests at his full 49-meter height almost immediately. If the Dunamist transforms indoors or beneath a ceiling, Nexus instinctively manifests at a reduced scale appropriate for the space, sometimes only slightly larger than a human. Once outside, Nexus can willingly expand to full size.
- #5Anphans' techniques
Keys: Mach Move, Anphans Whip, Spinning Crash Kick, Travel Sphere, Circle Shield, Transportation Sphere, Aura Mirage, Core Final, Cross-Ray Schtrom, Anphans Power, Anphans Kick, Anphans Punch, Particle Feather, Style Change, Anphans, Anphans Chop, Saving Bute
Anphans' Techniques:
SPECIAL:
Cross-Ray Schtrom: Anphans' "+" style position finisher. By focusing their energy into both hands by putting them in close proximity (that looks like a surge of blue electricity), then crossing their arms in a plus shape (left hand crossed at the front and the right pointed upwards at the back), they're capable of shooting a burst of reddish orange energy from the side of their right hand that's capable of killing most space beasts via an explosion after energy wrecks havoc in the target's body.
Particle Feather: By focusing their energy into one or both of their hands, they can shoot out an energy arc from them, having the capacity to slice through objects.
Core Final: By focusing the energy, a bright burst of energy coats their entire body. The purpose of this is to release Nexus's hidden power. The look varies on the Dunamist, but it's either a burst of energy from their body or a destructive beam from their Energy Core.
PHYSICAL:
Anphans Punch: A powerful punch. Despite it being capable of being used in any form, this one is generally slow.
Anphans Chop: A powerful chop after a high jump; uses the falling to increase the power via velocity.
Anphans Kick: A powerful kick, it is used after the enemy's weak spot is determined.
Spinning Crash Kick: An enhanced version of Anphans Kick. By running and leaping high into the air via a frontflip, Nexus could perform a powerful energy sidekick at their target. Upon making contact, Nexus spins at high speeds, creating a whirlpool of golden energy around him, before kicking themself off the target with a backflip.
Anphans Power: Nexus can summon great strength to perform feats of strength normally beyond his abilities.
Anphans Whip: A technique to lift and throw opponents, even ones as heavy as 30,000 tons.
OTHER:
Flight: As an Ultra, Nexus could float and fly in the air.
Space survivability: As an Ultra, not only can Nexus survive in space, but they don't need to breathe despite there being no air.
Mach Move: An acceleration technique, upon putting the two Armed Nexus on his arms together, Nexus can move at incredible speeds for a short burst. It appears as an aura of light surrounding his still body. Nexus has another version where his Energy Core flashes, and he takes off glowing brightly.
Travel Sphere: Nexus can move vast distances in a short amount of time in the form of a ball of light, sometimes appearing after transforming into Nexus.
Saving Bute: A rope of blue and white light used to snatch people from the grip of a Space Beast and transport them to safety in the form of a ball of light at the end of the tether. Can also be used to lasso a Space Beast.
Style Change: By crossing his left arm to the Energy Core, Nexus can change into his Junis and Junis Blue forms; depending on the Dunamist he partners with, Nexus could only turn into Junis or Junis Blue, while some could potentially change to either one.
Aura Mirage: A protective red aura Nexus can cover himself with; it protects him from harm and is naturally repulsive to Space Beasts.
Transportation Sphere: Nexus can create a blue energy sphere to transport and protect other beings.
- #6Junis' techniques
Keys: Over-Ray Schtrom, Dark Field Reverse, Board Ray Feather, Size Change, Junis Kick, Phase Shift Wave, Core Impulse, Junis Punch, Spill-Ray Generade, Junis, Nexus Hurricane
Junis' Techniques:
SPECIAL:
Over-Ray Schtrom: Junis' main finisher. By focusing their energy into both hands by crossing them in an X shape and bringing them away from one another (that looks like a surge of blue electricity), then crossing their arms in a plus shape (left hand crossed at the front and the right pointed upwards at the back), they're capable of shooting a burst of blue energy from the side of their right hand that's capable of killing most space beasts via rapidly decomposing them at the molecular, making them explode and dissipate as blue particles. Unfortunately, it consumes most of the user's energy to use, meaning it can only be used once per battle.
Core Impulse: A powerful, golden-coloured, V-shaped beam from Nexus' Energy Core, by crossing both arms and focusing their energy back into the core, it can destroy most Space Beasts in one hit. This is Junis' strongest attack.
Board Ray Feather: By focusing their energy into both of their hands, they can shoot out a larger and wider energy arc from them, having the capacity to slice through objects.
Spill-Ray Gerenade: Nexus is able to convert incoming dark energy projectiles into light energy bullets.
PHYSICAL:
Junis Punch: The Junis version of the Anphans Punch, it is much stronger.
Junis Kick: A stronger version of the Anphans Kick.
OTHER:
Flight: As an Ultra, Nexus could float and fly in the air.
Space survivability: As an Ultra, not only can Nexus survive in space, but they don't need to breathe despite there being no air.
Phase Shift Wave: In Junis Form, Nexus uses his Armed Nexus to generate a golden beam shot into the air to change the "phase" of a localised area to his own wavelength in order to set up the Meta Field.
Dark Field Reverse: They're capable of reversing the Dark Field back to the Meta Field by using their Phase Shift Wave Technique.
Nexus Hurricane: A tornado-shaped energy-based attack. It doesn't destroy, but it could bury a monster halfway into the ground, leaving a chance to deal another attack.
Size Change: Nexus can appear at human size, his proper giant size and anything in between.
Anphans' Techniques: Nexus's Junis Form can also use Anphans Form's techniques, such as: Mach Move, Flash Travel, Saving Bute, Circle Shield, Particle Feather, Cross-Ray Schtrom.
- #7Junis Blue's techniques
Keys: Junis Blue
Junis Blue's Techniques:
SPECIAL:
Arrow-Ray Schtrom: By switching the Arrow Armed Nexus to Arrow Mode, Nexus can create a giant golden energy bow by extending his right Armed Nexus and using energy from his Energy Core to create the body of a bow. By pulling back with his left arm, he can make an arrow, and by letting go, the beam will be released. It destroys foes in the same manner as the Over-Ray Schtrom, instead of breaking down the molecular bonds, it obliterates the target's particles.
Schtrom Sword: By switching the Arrow Armed Nexus to Sword Mode, Nexus can create a sword which comes out of the Arrow Armed Nexus on his right arm. It destroys foes in the same manner as his other attacks.
Over Arrow-Ray Schtrom: By switching the Arrow Armed Nexus to Final Mode, Nexus can combine both the Arrow-Ray Schtrom and Schtrom Sword at the same time to create a sword bow. It is very similar in appearance to the Arrow-Ray Schtrom, but it has greater destructive power. When struck, its target is destroyed in a more conventional explosion, and it is so powerful that when fired, it excites the air, leaving a stream of flames. Unfortunately, it consumes most of the user's energy to use, meaning it can only be used once per battle. This is Junis Blue's strongest attack.
Knuck-Ray Gerenade: In a similar way to Spill-Ray Generade, Nexus can absorb enemy attacks or the essence of Dark Field G to unleash an energy beam. This is used to eliminate Bugbuzun Growler and Mega Flash.
PHYSICAL:
Junis Blue Punch: A faster version of the Junis Punch.
Junis Blue Elbow: A powerful elbow strike.
Junis Blue Kick: A faster version of the Junis Kick.
Junis Blue Whip: The Junis Blue version of the Anphans Whip.
OTHER:
Flight: As an Ultra, Nexus could float and fly in the air.
Space survivability: As an Ultra, not only can Nexus survive in space, but they don't need to breathe despite there being no air.
Phase Shift Wave: Like Junis, in Junis Blue, Nexus uses his Armed Nexus to generate a beam shot into the air to change the "phase" of a localised area to his own wavelength in order to set up the Meta Field. If Nexus's Dunamist is a Prometheus Child (a genetically engineered 'perfect' human), it doesn't put stress on their body.
Anphans and Junis' techniques: Nexus's Junis Blue can use Anphans and Junis's techniques; these include: Circle Shield, Cross-Ray Schtrom, Mach Move, Particle Feather, Board Ray Feather, Spill-Ray Generade, Over-Ray Schtrom, Core Impulse and Nexus Hurricane.
- #8Metafield
Keys: MetaField, Meta Field, Metafield
The Metafield dimensional subspace is made of the same substances as Nexus' body. It empowers light beings such as Nexus himself while reducing the power of darkness. Its main use is to avoid collateral damage during its battles and to contain the enemy in a confined space, but frequent usage of it can induce a huge strain on its user. It cannot be easily entered from the outside without special equipment or similar powers.
Appearance:
The Metafield looks like an alien world, with a grey sky that constantly has aurora borealis happening above. The ground is made up of slightly reddish rocks. It also has large rock formations with luminescent parts that glow cyan.
- #9TLT
Keys: Terrestrial Liberation Trust, TLT
Several years have passed since the events occurred with the appearance of the beings code-named "The Next" and "The One". The Earth exists in relative peace, but secretly strange monsters called "Space Beasts" stalk citizens, killing them in many cases.
To combat this threat, the Terrestrial Liberation Trust (TLT), a global, clandestine organization is set up to investigate and defeat the "Space Beasts".
HISTORY:
The distant past past:
The origins of TLT go back to the source of the problem that plagued humanity and perhaps countless other species in the universe, the Space Beasts, more specifically their master Dark Zagi. Some time ago the being known as Ultraman Noa came into existence through unknown means (rumored to be a supernova in Messier 80 in the Scorpio Constellation). Since that time the silver giant traveled space fighting evil while bonding to several hosts. A race of beings, known to TLT as the 'Visitors' saw this and proposed the creation of their own personal protector, a clone of the silver giant. They fail, for whatever reasons the clone became a twisted mockery of the paragon of justice and created an army of monsters to destroy all life. To stop him, the visitors tried to kill him by destroying their planet. Though Zagi was not killed by some means he was separated from his body and left as a ball of dark energy. His body was used to create the alien construct known as Lethe.
1991:
Knowing his eventual goal the visitors headed to Earth with Lethe and crashed in the Arizona desert. The US army that found them was told by the aliens that they would be willing to give their technology so long as it was only for the defense of the Earth against the oncoming threat. Communication was accomplished by the use of a young psychic boy named Kaimoto, through whom the Visitors explained their background and the incoming danger.
The was first steps to the foundation of TLT, scientists from around the world were brought to Arizona and numerous countries around the world entered this alliance. However it would be nineteen years before the first Space Beast would appear. During this time several projects were being worked on several projects, the development of the first Chesters, the Night Raiders' weaponry, the development of the Visitors Potential Barrier to slow down the appearance of Space Beasts and the Prometheus project to name a few.
At some point in time Zagi made his way to Earth and possessed one of the scientists working with the visitors. Using this host body he slaughtered perhaps everyone there including young Nagi's mother and father. Encountering the young girl after the fact he clouded her memory and let live as she was integral to his master plan.
2004:
Thirteen years later after the Visitors arrived, the first Space Beast, Beast the One, appeared in the Seas of Japan possessing a young man named Udo, who was part of the BCST an anti-bio terrorism organization working with U.S forces. He was eventually defeated by the silver warrior code named the Next, a lesser form taken on by Noa.
Post 2004:
After those events, TLT erased the entire world's memories and media information pertaining to the battle between Ultraman and the One and created their first cover up story of a meteor shower devastating Shinjuku. Afterwards the Night Raiders and other divisions of TLT began to operate as the battle between Noa and Zagi progressed on Earth.
BASES:
Fortress Freedom is the third base of the TLT organisation. The appearance of the base is disguised as a huge underwater dam. It has 515 members and is commanded by three commanders who hold all the authority related to Space Beasts incidents in the local region.
In the lower level of the base, there is a command centre where the members of NR are stationed, which is equipped with a briefing room, rest area, equipment locker, and shooter booth for launching the members into the cockpit of the Chrome Chester. The base also includes mechanical facilities such as a special aircraft hangar, launch route, maintenance factory, and CIC (Combat Information Centre), where the TLT operations staff, Yu Kirasawa, is stationed to communicate the Space Beasts elimination operations to the NR. There are also individual rooms for the members, shooting training grounds, conference rooms, research rooms, detention rooms, and other facilities.
At the deepest underground level of the base, there is the TLT-J central control room and the large memory erasing device "Lethe" located in an area called "Section 0".
- #10NR (Night Raiders)
Keys: NR, Night Raiders
The Night Raiders are TLT-J's special group in charge of Space Beast eradication. The group's true name is TLT-J Special Strategy Mission Group, as members consist of elite cadets in TLT.
OVERVIEW:
NR is a special attack unit formed by TLT-J to fight Space Beasts. It recruits elite personnel from police, medical, and scientific fields and has completed around 424 missions. Captain Wakura leads Night Raider A Unit Night Raider A Unit, while other NR teams also operate.
With technology support from TLT and the Visitors, NR uses advanced weapons against unknown entities. Space Beasts feed on human fear, so NR keeps its existence secret. Members cannot disclose their identity, even to family. Violations lead to memory erasure and exile. Constant incidents keep the team under high tension.
NR prioritizes the elimination of Space Beasts over civilian safety. In some cases, operations treat hostages as collateral targets or use entire cities as bait. Although some members resist this approach, they must follow orders from command. After missions, White Sweepers and MP handle cleanup operations.
ARSENAL:
Attire:
NR Special Suits: The suit worn by the Night Raiders, it provides hot and cold life support. When going on a mission, armour is attached along with a survival belt.
NR Met: The helmets the Night Raiders use are equipped with night vision, function displays, and targeting assistance when they are in the chesters.
Equipment:
Thanks to the technology from the Visitors, TLT arms their Night Raider unit with advanced equipment to combat Space Beasts when on the ground. All Night Raider weapons fire energy bullets.
Divait Launcher: Night Raider's standard issue rifle, they are only ever used when on a mission due to their firepower. They can be switched between two modes, cannon mode which can easily kill a small space beast in a few shots or a well aimed one, and rapid fire mode where it acts like a machine gun.
Divait Shooter: Night Raider's standard issue small firearm, while not enough to kill a space beast it is more effective than a normal gun of the same size. The hand gun has isomorphics on its grip, which means no one but members of TLT can use it.
Pulse Breigar: The wrist worn communication device all Night Raider members wear, it acts like a video phone, a map, a Beast Wave detector and a scanner. It can also be mounted with weapons such as a stun gun, napalm bomb, a beam weapon and a freeze shot. It is also said to be the world's most powerful stunner.
Memoraser: The tools used by the M.P. division of TLT, these flip phone-like devices shine a bright light that erases all memories connected to specific keywords. Particularly keywords relating to Ultraman and Space Beasts. It later learned that all the memories taken by the M.P. are stored within Lethe.
Mecha:
Thanks to the technology granted to them by the Visitors, TLT arms their Night Raider unit with advanced machines to combat Space Beasts in the air and when they reach giant size. As more giant space beasts started to become more and more prevalent in place of the more human-sized variants, as well as their continued evolution, TLT was forced to upgrade their arsenal, creating new Chrome Chesters and Chester configurations.
- #11Chrome Chesters
Keys: Chrome Chester, Chrome Chesters
Chrome Chester are highly-advanced fighter jets created by the TLT with the help of Visitors which arms their NR unit with advance equipment to combat Space Beast in the air and when they reach giant size.
As more giant Space Beasts started to become more and more in place of the more human sized variants, as well as their continued evolution, TLT was forced to upgrade their arsenal creating new Chrome Chesters and Chester configurations.
MODELS:
Chrome Chester α: The most aerodynamic of the original three Chesters, it forms the front command portion of all Chester combinations. It is armed with Spider Missiles and Banisher Laser Cannon.
Chrome Chester β: The Chester with the largest engine of the original three, it forms the middle section of the Strike Chester configuration and the cannons in the Mega Cannon Chester configuration. It is armed with Mega Lasers on both sides of gyro and Laser Vulcan on the nosecone.
Chrome Chester γ: The least aerodynamic of the original three Chesters, it forms the bottom or the back of all the formations. Its armaments are a pair of Metal Lasers and micro missiles Avilock.
Chrome Chester δ: The fourth Chester was built to do what Strike Formation could not, use the Phase Synchronizer and Scanning Pulse at the same time. It upgraded the Strike Formation into Hyper Strike Formation, enhancing its abilities and allowing greater firepower output. Its main armaments are four Quad Blasters, each built in four Hyper Generator Units and stronger variants of Gamma's Avilock missiles.
FORMATIONS:
Strike Formation is a combination process of Chrome Chesters to eradicate the Space Beasts. Each combination is different for each component and formation:
Strike Chester: A single fighter jet. The first combination of Alpha, Beta and Gamma, with its Scanning Pulse, can search for things within the phase, and its Phase Synchronizer allows it to match that frequency of space. This is how it enters the Meta Field. Its finisher is a beam called the Strike Vanisher.
Mega Cannon Chester: A tank formation for land-based combat. In exchange for air mobility, the Chrome Chesters gain a stronger version of the Strike Vanisher finisher called the Mega Cannon Vanisher, which is 25% stronger.
Hyper Strike Chester: The Strike Chester, combined with Chester Delta, can now search the phase frequencies with impunity, and Delta Hyper generators allow for the use of the Hyper Strike Vanisher and, for a time, before the required data was deleted, the Ultimate Vanisher, which was an artificially created version of Nexus' Over-Ray Schtrom.
- #12Space Beast
Keys: Space Beast
The entities designated “Space Beasts” are hostile extraterrestrial lifeforms of unknown ultimate origin. They do not behave like conventional animals, nor do they conform to any understood terrestrial biology. Current analysis suggests that Space Beasts operate as adaptive predatory organisms capable of rapid mutation, environmental assimilation, and exponential evolution under stress conditions.
Unlike ordinary kaiju, a Space Beast is not merely a giant creature. Each specimen should be considered part of a larger invasive ecosystem.
Biological Characteristics:
Space Beasts sustain themselves through the consumption of organic matter, with humans serving as a highly efficient energy source. In several confirmed cases, victims were not simply killed but biologically absorbed or dissolved. Residual tissue analysis indicates that the Beasts are capable of integrating consumed biomass directly into their own structure, accelerating growth and mutation rates.
Documented capabilities by some include:
-
Extreme regenerative ability
-
Rapid evolutionary adaptation
-
Camouflage or concealment
-
Reproductive fragmentation
-
Environmental contamination
-
Psychic or hallucinatory influence
-
Resistance to conventional weapons systems
Several juvenile specimens have demonstrated the ability to remain hidden within urban environments for extended periods before maturing.
Behavioral Patterns:
Space Beasts display predatory intelligence. While some operate on instinct, others exhibit coordinated hunting behavior and tactical responses to military engagement.
One consistent factor across nearly all encounters is their attraction to human fear and psychological instability. Whether this is emotional feeding, sensory tracking, or a catalyst for mutation remains under investigation.
Panic events strongly correlate with increased Beast Wave activity.
For this reason, all public knowledge regarding Space Beast incidents remains restricted under TLT security protocols.
Beast Waves:
Every Space Beast emits a unique energy signature known as a “Beast Wave.” These emissions are used by TLT monitoring systems for detection and tracking.
However, Beast Waves are not merely signals. Evidence suggests they may function as a form of communication or resonance between specimens. During large-scale incidents, synchronized Wave amplification has been observed, implying that Space Beasts may possess a collective adaptive network.
Some researchers have proposed that individual Beasts are less independent organisms and more specialized cells within a larger distributed lifeform.
This theory remains unconfirmed.
Origin:
According to surviving data recovered from the Visitors, the Space Beasts were responsible for the destruction of their civilization before appearing on Earth. The exact birthplace of the species is unknown.
The Visitors considered the Beasts an extinction-level threat against intelligent life.
All projections indicate Earth would suffer the same fate without continuous containment efforts.
Space Beasts are not categorized as natural disasters or isolated biological anomalies.
They are considered:
invasive apex predators, self-evolving weapons organisms, and a long-term extinction threat to humanity.
The greatest danger posed by the Space Beasts is not their physical strength alone.
It is their ability to survive, adapt, spread, and turn human fear itself into part of the battlefield.

- #13Dunamist
Keys: Dunamist, Dunamists
The Dunamists are beings who can bond with the light to become Ultraman Nexus. The source of this ability is never truly explained, but it is implied to have to do with their mindset, as those chosen are often those with a desire to protect or fight Space Beasts no matter the cost to themselves. Each new bond provides Nexus with additional strength.
- #14Memory Police
Keys: M.P, Memory Police
The Memory Police (M.P) is a division made by TLT, which is comprised of agents in black suits. Their main purpose is to erase the memory of anyone who has seen a Space Beast and/or Space Beast survivors and block all Space Beast-related information from reaching the media. They use technology in their phone for their task, but it is locked to memories relating to keywords involving Ultraman and the Space Beasts.
This division is led by Saya Shuto.
