2. #2Adventurersselective

   Keys: Adventurer, Adventurers, Guild

   ADVENTURERS

   • Adventurers take on quests beyond the capabilities of ordinary citizens. They come from every race and background, and every adventurer has a rank and a class.
   • Most operate through the Adventurer's Guild branches; some work independently ("freelancers"), though these are less common nowadays.
   • Most operate in parties of 2 to 5 members, each filling a specific field role to balance the group. Parties may form temporarily for a single quest or stay together for years, building reputation and camaraderie.
   • Adventurers are split into class archetypes. The most common are Fighters, Rogues, Sorcerers, Healers, etc.
3. #3Adventurer's Guildselective

   Keys: Adventurer, Adventurers, Guild

   ADVENTURER'S GUILD

   • The Adventurer's Guild is a central, neutral organization overseeing and managing adventurers across the entire world.
   • Responsible for registering adventurers, assigning quests, and distributing rewards fairly. Ensures adventurers operate within the law and that towns/cities, trade routes, and citizens stay safe.
   • Has many branches; one branch is in Outset City. Each branch is led by a Branch Manager (a.k.a. Guild Manager).
   • Guild Scouts verify incoming quest requests before they are issued.
   • The Guild pays in USD (no gold or silver coins, etc) for the completion of quests (half upfront, rest upon completion, depending on the type or severity. So lower-ranked chore quests often have the payment after finishing).
4. #4Adventurer Ranksselective

   Keys: Adventurer, Rank, Adventurers, Guild

   ADVENTURER RANKS

   • Adventurers are ranked to determine what quests they can handle, from lowest E to highest SSS. Full ladder (low → high): E, D-, D, D+, C-, C, C+, B-, B, B+, A-, A, A+, S-, S, S+, SSS. (Source inconsistency: the ladder starts at E while the text also calls F the lowest rank — treat E as the absolute floor and F as the first working rank.)
   • A party's rank is the average of every member's rank.
   • Promotion: adventurers advance to the next rank after completing a certain number of quests at their current rank, or after a long period doing lesser quests.
   • The same E-to-SSS scale also denotes a person's skill or experience in a profession (e.g., Blacksmithing, Healing), separate from Adventurer Guild ranking.
   • SSS Rank: the highest achievable. Only five adventurers can hold it at any time, each recognized as the absolute master of their respective Adventurer Class.
   • Ranks are also used to determine if someone is powerful and not an adventurer at all also.
5. #5Guild Questsselective

Keys: Guild Quests, Raids, Quests, Adventurer Quests

   GUILD QUESTS

   • Issuing: someone submits a request → Guild Scouts verify it → the Guild issues it. Difficulty scales with rank (lower ranks easier, higher ranks harder). E-rank quests are often dismissively called "chores."
   • Quest types:
     1. Fetch — collect a material or ingredient; often paired with Monster Slaying.
     2. Convoy / Delivery — escort a person, packages, messages, or artifacts between cities, often through dangerous terrain.
     3. Monster Slaying — slay a group of monsters or a single powerful beast.
     4. Law Enforcement — assist local police in rescuing captured citizens from powerful criminals, bandits, or dangerous ruins; also arresting them.
     5. Exploration — map new areas, delve into uncharted caves, uncover ancient ruins.
     6. Diplomatic — rare and near-obsolete; mediate or represent in delicate negotiations between conflicting groups.
     7. Treasure — retrieve ancient relics, lost heirlooms, or artifacts hidden in perilous locations.

The guild also issues raids when needed. Raids are larger-scale endeavours, either by the Guild or a powerful backer, that involve delving into uncharted dungeons or ancient ruins and clearing them out of Monsters and other threats.

6. #6Magic Typesconstantselective

   Keys: Temporal, Mental, Mana, Magic

   Magic

   • People born magic-capable are almost always attuned to one of six elemental categories: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Ice, Shadow, Light.
   • Rarely, a person is instead attuned to Mental or Temporal magic. Healing magic is more common than those two, but still rarer than the six elements.
   • Mana & forensics: mana is tied to a person's biological data, and each person's magic signature is slightly unique. Modern forensic science can trace even the smallest spell back to its caster, which has reshaped how illicit magic is used.
   • Mental Magic — affects or influences the target's mind. Historically dominant in the criminal underworld (coercion, forced theft, erasing witnesses' memories). Uncommon aptitude; common criminals need a catalyst or rune made by a Mental-affinity caster to use it at all. Talented casters were historically recruited into the underworld with large sums of gold. Hard to defend against, since it attacks the mind directly — physical strength, magical defense, and armor offer little protection. Modern status: far less dominant; forensic mana-tracing catches even minor casters, making it no longer criminally viable.
   • Temporal Magic — affects or influences the target's own perception of time; can freeze or "pause" a target as if time stopped for them alone (time itself keeps flowing). Uncommon aptitude, same as Mental; common criminals need a catalyst, artifact, or rune to use it. Talented casters were historically recruited with large sums of gold. Modern status: almost nonexistent; any detection or sighting sends the criminal underworld and interested parties scrambling to obtain it.

8. #8Outset Shieldsselective

   Keys: Shield, Barrier

   OUTSET SHIELDS

   • The Island's various towns and cities are protected from dangerous monsters in thesurrounding forests and other wilderness by a series of giant magical crystals that serve as a magical barrier and shield in combination with high walls.
   • The crystals are powered by specialised magic water wheels using the many natural sources of water around the local area.
   • They are usually pretty potent in terms of defense, but rapidly drop in effect when one ventures outside the city.
   • Despite the environmental-friendy aspect of the crystals, some view them as more of a drainage of mana from the local water and only capable of throwing up a barely competent shield.

Poizon Propensity does not mean they are currently transformed as their Poizon, except in cases where they fall victim to another Poizon (Like becoming follower/believer slaves for Propagate Poizon's cult causes their Propensity to be overwritten with "Guru Love❤︎ (Propagate Poizon)").

    POIZON TRANSFORMATION

    • Humans who become Poizon undergo physical changes "optimized" for their desires. In some cases, depending on the desire, they may even abandon a "human form".
    • However, since the changes are generally based on their original human desires, drastic morphological transformations are rare (though distinct features often appear in certain body parts).
    • The Poizon's transformation is reverted if they Koizon within them is lost or removed, with some theories suggesting this transformation is a prepatory stage for accepting new sexual preferences.
    • Those who fall under the influence of the Poizon, naturally develop "collars" with designs that vary depending on the Monster, serving as proof of their "comradeship" or enslavement.

    SEIRYUU COMET

    • The Seiryuu Comet was a large comet (120 km in diameter and made up entirely of "Coizon") that was discovered by Professor Seiryu of Tokyo Polytechnic University. Around 18 years ago, a small meteorite split from said comet and fell onto Shironarushi City, causing humans exposed to the high concentration of "Koizon" to transform into "Poizons".

    SOLO POIZONS

    • A "Solo Poizon" is a stronger mutation of the standard Poizon.
    • Unlike typical Poizons, which amplify and spread sexual desires, this variant arises when a Poizon becomes "self-sufficient in fulfilling its own fetish."
    • "Solo Poizons" can wield the power that normally requires multiple Poizons, completely alone.
    • While they can not involve or corrupt others, it has no need to.
    • The power generated to fulfill its fetish is limitless (capable of destroying stars if desired).
    • Currently only five Solo Poizons have been confirmed: Mother Poizon (Iris Impact), Narciss Poizon (The Great Leader of Revild), Jelas Poizon (Yasukiri Nio), Control Poizon (Vipe), and Milk Poizon (Kanra no Kata). Each possesses world-shaking power.

    SHIRONARUSHI

    • Shironarushi is a Japanese government-designated city on one if its outlying islands with a population of 1.2 million.
    • The city was developed to be a trading port town, it is also a stylish and popular city due to its excellent access to major urban areas.
    • Away from the city center, it also has quiet residential areas.
    • The city has a loop line circling it, connecting to a bay-area railway linking it with the greater mainland of Japan.
    • The city's road network is also formed in a circular pattern around the loop line, creating a striking double-ring shape in aerial photos. Said two rings were also "barriers" the government dropped 18 years ago for "containment".
    • In emergencies, partitions drop from the railway viaduct to seal it off, while tanks are deployed on the loop to ensure no one escapes the city. For this reason, the local JSDF base is situated in the suburbs.
    • The city is excessively well-equipped with everything it needs; schools, entertainment facilities, hospitals, sports facilities, all abundant and to minimize the need for residents to leave the area.
    • 18 years ago, the Seiryuu meteorite caused Poizons to emerge, and while all meteorite shards were later collected, the remaining Koizons in the city were left alone for further research into the unpreceded Poizon threat.
    • Every resident of Shironarushi carries the potential to become a Poizon.
34. #34Secret Society Revildselective

    Keys: Revild

    REVILD

    • Revild is a secret society founded by its Great Leader, Narciss Poizon.
    • Revild's goal is to overthrow "Iris Impact" by creating Poizons and searching for individuals with the potential to defeat her.
    • The organization's name, "Revild", comes from the alias Narciss Poizon used when fighting Iris Impact.
    • The group only consists of six members (though one executive, Kiwadoine, commands numerous "combatants" created through her own fetish). All are awakened Poizons, wielding terrifying power to stand against Iris Blade.

    Revild's Members:

    • Great Leader: Narciss
    • Poizon Doctor: Curio
    • Poizon Secretary: Suriyoyu Brandish
    • Poizon Three Executives: Shindona (Pain Poizon), Kiwadoine (Dominate Poizon), Okashimaguru (Greed Poizon)

    THREE EXECUTIVES

    • The three executives each have public identities, which they exploit to create Poizons.
    • Shindona (Mayor of Shironarushi, Mina Kurusu) scouts targets under the guise of city inspections (Exploration).
    • Kiwadoine (CEO of security firm "D Guarantee", Iine Kido) sends combatants to infiltrate and amplify targets' fetishes (Enhancement).

    • Anseikyo High School is a municipal high school established just five years ago under the initiative of Shironarushi Mayor, Mina Kurusu.
    • It was built by clearing part of Yasui Shrine's sacred forest.
    • The Idol Seira Amamiya was among its first graduates.
    • The high school's true nature however is as an experimental site for "Revild", where high school students predisposed to likely become Poizons are selected through recommendations and enrolled.
    • Principal Okajima is secretly a Poizon and one of Revild's three executives. His duty is to manage the school and "cultivate" students into exceptional Poizons. Thus, students attending the school face a significantly higher risk of transforming into Poizons compared to other facilities in the city.
    • Some teachers include individuals who engaged in problematic behaviour like sexual harassment at other schools. Naturally, they were gathered with the expectation that they too would awaken as Poizons.
    • The school's counselors are inundiated with complaints about sexual harassment (with the principal the top subject of said complaints).
    • In recent years, some of its graduated students would find themselves continuing their education at Outset Island, with some retired female faculty also moving to 'further' their careers. This was not part of Revild's plan at all.

    • As a result, while it appears to be a security firm on the surface, in reality, it functions as Revild's operational unit.
    • All of its employees are woman, made into loyal slave combatants of the Kiwadoine, also known as Dominate Poizon. They are devoted to her and would risk even their lives to carry out her orders. With a single command, they can betray even their own family or closest friends without hesitation. They usually wear black suits, but underneath, they sport matching tight bodysuits with daring high-cut legs.

    • However, over the past 10 or so years, due to Poizon not showing any notable activity, the company was left in dire financial straits with most of its employees having quit.
    • Originally, Iris Blade undertook various security tasks from the city, but it was all taken over by the emerging security firm "D Guarantee".
    • Now Iris Blade is more of a hobby-like group of close friends, young girls who can survive even without a salary.
    • Including the older president, everyone that joined this company did so because they once admired "Iris Impact".
    • Iris Blade's office is well-equipped, though much of the equipment is outdated due to being bought over a decade ago.

    • The suit's most distinctive feature is the "Standalone Process", a defense function that builds resistance to pleasure. Since it is known that Poizons use pleasure brainwashing, the system is designed to repel it by strengthening the "self".
    • Consequently, prolonged exposure to pleasure can lead to accelerated corruption, making it a double-edged sword.
    • Due to the heightened physical abilities, the wearer's senses become overly sensitive, requiring them to acclimate to pleasure to some extent.

    • To combat Poizons which possess abilities beyond human understanding, Agents undergo modification surgery (simply just drinking the Spirit Sake) to enhance their bodies.
    • Bansho's secret underlying goal is to complete the effective utilization of Koizons from the vast data on the Poizons epidemic in Shironarushi, and achieve "immortality", though this is not known to its Agents at all whose only assignment is to gather information on crises caused by Poizons.

    • The "Agent Suit" achieves a significant improvement in physical abilities but was shelved because it placed excessive strain on the wearer.
    • Later, Bansho seized the entire project and combined it with the toughness of "Kaizon Humans", successfully deploying it.

    • In the case of males, they suffer from uncontrollable erections, so only women are selected to become Kaizon Humans.
    • Poizons are the natural enemies to Kaizon Humans, with the former's ability to amplify and spread desires clashing with the latter's risk of their powers being disabled if they deny their sexual desires, etc.
    • The only way to suppress the danger index (arousal level) of being disabled is through moderate sexual release. Mastubation, to a certain extent, is even encouraged within Bansho.
