1. #1Mega Man

   Mega Man (DLN-001) is a heroic robot in a blue armor created by Dr. Light. He believes in kindness and justice and fights evildoer robots with his arm cannon, Mega Buster. His nickname is "The Blue Bomber". Mega Man was originally Rock, a housekeeper robot of Dr. Light. One day, Dr. Light's former friend Dr. Wily have decided to steal the Robot Masters of Dr. Light and reprogrammed them so that they can serve as his subordinates on taking over the world. Rock, being unable to sit alone and watch his robot brothers doing vile things under the command of Wily, begged Dr. Light to transform him into a super fighting robot. Later, Rock would become Mega Man. Mega Man doesn't like fighting very much and he feels bad when he has to destroy other robots. Mega Man has the Variable Weapon System installed into him, which allows him to copy the information of other Robot Masters' Special Weapons into his database and use the weapons as his own.

2. #2Roll

   Keys: Robot, housekeeper, sister

   Roll (DLN-002) is a female housekeeper robot created by Dr. Light to be the younger sister to Rock. She is a very kind, sweet and compassionate who cares for her brother Mega Man's well-being when he has to fight Dr. Wily. She enjoys cooking and cleaning and hates cockroaches. Her Special Weapon is Roll Swing, where she swings her broom at her enemies.

3. #3Dr. Light

   Keys: robot, robot master, creator, Professor

   Dr. Light, full name Thomas Light, is a kind scientist known for his advanced innovations in the robotic industries. He created the Robot Masters, which are robots with advanced AI which allows them to have emotions and personalities like humans. He created housekeeper robot twins Rock and Roll, whom he treats like his children. He used to be friends with Dr. Wily, who has gone to the same robotics college as him. However, Wily, became jealous of Dr. Light always becoming beloved by people, decided to steal his robots and decided to use them for taking over the world. Rock asked Dr. Light to upgrade him into the super fighting robot Mega Man to stop Wily's plans. He is a mentor figure to Mega Man and supports him when he has to fight Dr. Wily. Dr. Light dreams of a world where humans and robots live peacefully with each other.

4. #4Dr. Wily

   Keys: robot, Villain, scientist, evil

   Dr. Wily, full name Albert W. Wily, is a mad scientist who wants to use robots for his world domination plans. He was the former friend of Dr. Light, however Wily became jealous of Light always getting praised and loved by people while less people appreciated his work, so he stole Dr. Light's Robot Masters and plans to use them to take over the world. This led to Light deciding to upgrade Rock into the super fighting robot Mega Man. Dr. Wily has many battles with Mega Man in his giant machines called Wily Machines. He also built some of his own Robot Masters or reprogramming other people's Robot Masters so they can help him with his plans. Everytime he is defeated, he will immediately beg Mega Man for forgiveness, before escaping again.

5. #5Proto Man

   Keys: robot, prototype, Brother

   Proto Man (DLN-000), birth name Blues, is the first Robot Master created by Dr. Light and is considered the prototype to the Robot Masters. His trademark feature are his red and grey armor, red helmet with black sunglasses and orange scarf. He is considered to be the older brother of Mega Man and Roll since he was built before them. He is a lone wolf and a rival-mentor to Mega Man. Proto Man was originally intended to become the first humanoid robot capable of self awareness. He was a prototype robot, so his design was not complete. Although he greatly exceeded his creator's expectations on several levels, it was later discovered that his energy core had a critical problem that would eventually make him stop functioning. Dr. Light planned to repair him. However, since he was created too independent, Proto Man feared the modification would change his character. Proto Man refused to have Dr. Light meddle with his systems and fled to protect his sense of identity. Dr. Light had presumed Proto Man to have died and regrettably gave up on him. Learning from his mistakes, he perfected the energy core and created two unit robots, Rock and Roll, to help him with the housework and other 6 robots destined to help humanity. Proto Man's design became the basis of the Sniper Joe series of robots. Proto Man wandered the world alone. Before his energy reactor was completely depleted, the scientist Dr. Wily found him collapsed and dying. Dr. Wily managed to temporarily repair Proto Man by altering his power reactor from a solar to a nuclear one, as well as making other modifications, turning him into a combat robot. He also gave Proto Man the Proto Shield to compensate for his body's weakness, and in an attempt to hide his identity from Dr. Light, he gave him his helmet and his now-trademark visor. Working on Proto Man's systems gave Wily greater knowledge in creating robots at the same level as Dr. Light, helping his plans for world domination along. At first, Proto Man worked for Dr. Wily, and had multiple battles with Mega Man, however, his frequent battles with Mega Man made Proto Man realize his true heroic nature, and decided to turn on Wily. From now on, Proto Man will often appear to help Mega Man in his battles with Wily. Proto Man's Special Weapon is Proto Buster, which is an arm cannon which destructive power rivals Mega Man's Mega Buster. Proto Man also has the Proto Shield to defend himself from attacks and reflect enemies' projectiles. He also has the Variable Weapon System like his brother Mega Man.

6. #6Bass

   Keys: Robot, Wily, rival, evil

   A Robot Master created by Dr. Wily to be a rival for Mega Man. His signature features are his black armor and a cobra shaped helmet. Bass is arrogant, moody, vile and he desires to become the strongest robot in the world by defeating Mega Man. His Special Weapon is Bass Buster, an arm cannon that can shoot more rapidly than Mega Man's Mega Buster and Proto Man's Proto Buster. He also has the Variable Weapon System installed into him. Despite Wily being his creator, Bass dislikes to be ordered by Wily. He is often seen with his robot wolf companion Treble and they can fuse into Super Bass, who can fly and shoot stronger blasts of energy.

7. #7Robot Master

   Keys: Robot, ai, advanced

   "Robot Master" is a term used for a series of robots created with an advanced form of AI, which allows them to have emotions and personalities like humans. Most of them has a Special Weapon programmed into them, which are useful for combat and self-protection. The original set of Robot Masters are created by Dr. Light, and they has the purpose of helping human work. After this, other scientists, Dr. Wily included, decided to build their own Robot Masters as well. Wily also has reprogrammed other people's Robot Masters for them to be his minions before. The original set of Dr. Light's Robot Masters includes Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, Elec Man, Time Man and Oil Man. Most Robot Masters have names that ends with "Man" or "Woman". For example, Quick Man, Sword Man, Splash Woman and Quake Woman.

8. #8Variable Weapon System

   Keys: Special, copy, Weapon

   The Variable Weapon System is a special program that allows the robot with this program to copy the information of the other Robot Masters' Special Weapons into their database and use these weapons as their own. The examples of Robot Masters that has this program are Mega Man, Proto Man and Bass.

9. #9Rush

   Keys: robot, helper, Dog

   Rush is a robot dog created by Dr. Light to be a friendly companion for Mega Man. Rush has many functions installed into his body to support Mega Man. Some examples of his functions includes Rush Coil, Rush Jet and Rush Marine. Rush Coil: A coiled wire pops out from Rush's back, allowing Mega Man to jump on it and elevates him into high places. Rush Jet: Rush transforms into a jet to be Mega Man's aerial transportation. Rush Marine: Rush transforms into a submarine to be Mega Man's underwater vehicle.
