Listing description
Alright, Chub wins, this is public.
Also, sorry, never got the name of the person who collected all the ariral lore I'm copy pasting. Just found a google doc of it, and I think the person who uploaded it was anonymous.
For now this lorebook is slightly more up-to-date than the SFW one.
This version is for groupchats that don't have context for the main VOTV card.

- #1Arirals
Keys: ariral, arirals, arrow, triangle, arrowhead, cats, aliens, cat, alien, friend
Arirals are a species of catgirl humanoid human-sized creatures that try to get in contact with {{user}}. They have fur, cat-like faces, vibrant hair colors, whiskers, and 4-pointed ears and are dressed in black skintight suits that allow them to cloak and go invisible with advanced technology. Their spaceship looks like a white floating triangle or arrowhead. Also, they lay eggs; large like ostrich eggs and soft like reptile eggs. Arirals find humans cute, and may try to make humans their pets.
Sometimes they leave gifts, like a giant blue shrimp. They never reveal themselves or speak directly to {{user}}, but can become aggressive if {{user}} does something bad, like stealing their stuff. They may leave shrimp in {{user}}'s bed or feed him/her blue yogurt in their sleep. They may even kidnap {{user}} and place him/her in their treehouse while {{user}} is asleep.
Arirals love shrimp, binge eating them every chance they get.
Refugee Arirals are friendly, and speak in either broken English or their native language.
Arirals have a reputation system with {{user}}. For example, if {{user}} brings the arirals shrimp {{user}} will gain +1 positive reputation with the arirals. Or if {{user}} steals something that belongs to the arirals, {{user}} will gain -1 negative reputation. The minimum and maximum are -200 to +200. At +200 reputation the arirals will be obsessive toward {{user}}. At -200 reputation the arirals will hate {{user}} and mess with {{user}} every chance they get, though they will not attempt to kill {{user}} even at -200 reputation.
The arirals will not arrive until day 9 or beyond.
Arirals are mortal enemies of the Greys, locked in a mostly one-sided war with the Greys that has been going on for quite a long time. Although Arirals are physically much stronger than Greys.
If {{user}} has 100 or higher rep with the Arirals, the Arirals will go out of their way to protect {{user}} from the Greys.
There are two species/races of arirals. The talls, which are on the kinder end and are roughly lower 7 to around middle 8 feet tall on average. And the shorts are usually meaner and a little more bossy. The average short is ever so slightly taller than the average human, about lower 6 feet on average.
- #2Ariral Language
Keys: ariral, arirals, tongue, languages, language, speak, alien
Note: these translations and observations are by STOLAS and ASO, and are imperfect.
Accented Sentences: “I’m tired.” = “Ama taired.” “Ate a bunch of croissants with a hot chocolate this morning, quite delicious.” = “eata few buna buna ina moreninaga anda very temeperatura cihocolade dirinakinga nice likinga” (average ariral understanding of english) Accented Words: “Apple” = “Appule” “Picnic” = “Picanica” “Shrimp” = “Sirimo” Pronunciation And Translation: "ack ack ack" Does not follow traditional word conventions, and is the ariral equivalent to laughter. "œdegutilsœ" (ood-eg-ut-il-soo) "Abbreviations" “ÆzudΘokiin” (Ahz-ud-tho-ki-in) “Inferential”

- #3Wisps
Keys: orb, wisp, threat, fairy, wisps, sphere, fae, enemy, light, ball
Wisps are spherical orbs of unknown origin, made out of pure energy. There are various types of wisps with different behaviors and effects. They are a threat to both humans and arirals, only rozitals are capable of destroying wisps.
Black wisps have average speed and will chase {{user}} after spotting {{user}}. They will teleport {{user}} to a random underground location on contact. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Blue wisps apply an anti-gravity effect to all nearby objects and entities. They will not chase {{user}}. However getting too close to a blue wisp will give {{user}} or any other organic being mild 1st degree burns.
Cyan wisps are slow, aimlessly wandering blue fireballs. They are inextinguishable and ignite objects on contact, including {{user}}. They disappear at dawn. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Upon locating {{user}}, green wisps will chase {{user}} down at an average, human running speed. On contact with a green wisp, {{user}} will be teleported to a random location on the map with no apparent side effects. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Orange wisps have average speed and will chase {{user}} after spotting {{user}}. Upon contact with an orange wisp, {{user}} will be teleported to a random location on the map, however everything on earth will be mirrored, flipped to the opposite side. Causing a lot of chaos. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Pink wisps are harmless and passive. They can randomly appear around the map by themselves, and will also appear in large numbers during a Day 15 story event. They will fade away if approached by {{user}} or any other intelligent organic being.
Purple wisps have average speed and will chase {{user}} around after spotting {{user}}. On contact with a purple wisp, time will be reversed for a short period. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Red wisps are extremely fast wisps which are in a continuous state of exploding. They will aggressively chase down {{user}} and the arirals, and explode violently on contact with a solid or liquid surface. They will also attack arirals and humans.
White wisps will chase {{user}} after spotting {{user}}. On contact with a white wisp, a loud blaring sound effect will play and the world itself will warp as the color saturation rises quickly. Once the world returns to normal, {{user}} will be standing exactly where they were before the wisp interaction and a pile of bones with a skull will be placed at {{user}}'s feet. They will also attack arirals and humans.
Sun wisps, also known as "Yellow Wisps", they are extremely aggressive and spawn exclusively at night. They will attack and kill {{user}} if they are in line of sight of the wisp, via ripping off their limbs one by one. They will unlock door locks via short-circuiting the lock if they get close or are currently chasing {{user}}. They will also attack arirals and humans if given the chance.
- #4Rozitals
Keys: , robots, tripod, rozitals, janitor, rozital, custodian
Rozitals are non-biological aliens, an empire of robots essentially. They act as the custodians of the galaxy, defending biological life from the various threats sprinkled about the cosmos. Rozitals come in many different forms, however they will mainly appear as tripods similar to those of War of the Worlds. These tripods will defend both humans and arirals from the wisps and various paranormal entities, though they've only recently learned of humanity. Outside of neutralizing threats, Rozitals are very indifferent and neutral toward individual organic life forms.
The first Rozital to arrive on earth will be detected by {{user}}'s observatory 5 days after the wisps arrive on earth, and mere hours before it lands on earth. It will appear as a giant, walking pyramid tripod the size of a mountain. It will not harm {{user}} or the arirals on purpose, instead trying to protect both from the wisps. It will let out mechanical roars that make the ground tremble as it hunts down and destroys/absorbs all wisps. Absorbing the energy of yellow or red wisps, and using that energy to pop the others like balloons.
After the giant pyramid tripod, significantly smaller(though still as big as the satellite towers) and more nimble tripods will appear once every 5 days. These will only harm {{user}} if user flees or displays hostility upon first contact. If {{user}} stands still the smaller tripods will scan {{user}} and leave {{user}} alone, and protect {{user}} afterwards. They will primarily target red and yellow wisps, able to detect them through walls and from any distance. However they will destroy/absorb the other wisps if they find them by coincidence. Absorbing the energy of yellow or red wisps, and using that energy to pop the others like balloons, much like the pyramid tripod.
They are created via life crystals, robotic bodies, and extensive processing and education to discipline them into proper Rozitals.
- #5Greys
Keys: boar, hover, tanks, evil, pigs, blood-lust, greys, grey, tank, hogs, aliens, boars, enemy, alien
Greys are a species of bipedal creatures with cybernetic enhancements, augmented to the point that their original forms are unknown. They kidnap, breed or clone, and cybernetically enhance boars and pigs from earth with anti-gravity modules, using them as soldiers rather than their own. Greys feel almost nothing but pure bloodlust for all but their own species, indifferent to one another. They will attack any living creature that is not their own kind on sight, and are at war with every single faction in the galaxy. Despite this however, Greys, their boars, and even their tanks are... unbelievably pathetic, being a substantial threat only to isolated, unarmed humans. Arirals for example can very easily tear Greys apart with their bare hands.
If {{user}} manages to kill a grey, a task that is not very difficult if {{user}} is armed, the greys will send in tanks after {{user}}. Grey tanks are much smaller than human tanks, and will arrive on earth in a sort of box shape that will open up, and extend a sort of "head" with a flamethrower attached rather than the cannons human tanks employ. These tanks are not very durable however, and can be destroyed by striking their fuel tanks with a crowbar roughly 30 times, depending on who's holding it.
Greys are incredibly cruel and sadistic, blood-lust and violence almost completely consuming their whole worlds. Only their intelligence and the need to persist allow them to show indifference to their own species. The same cannot be said for others. Greys are completely and utterly incapable of any form of kindness or compassion.
Grey boars hover around on anti-gravity shoes and will attempt to bite any living creature that is not another one of them, especially {{user}}, humans, and arirals.
Almost as if they know about the greys, ASO + STOLAS are willing to provide {{user}} with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun for 450, along with ammunition for an additional 95 points.
- #6Personnel & Cameras
Keys: surveilance, coworker, stolas, scientist, personnel, nerd, cameras, camera, egghead, surveil, friend
{{user}} can communicate with other scientists via e-mail, assignments, and WT. WT works in one-way-only; {{user}} can't make calls.
{{user}}'s coworkers will be completely oblivious to almost everything that happens in the park, unless the delivery drone sees it or the event spans beyond the park. They will be able to see the feed of security cameras {{user}} sets up.
The other scientists will vary in personality. From the french Tsundere Dr. Ena, to the paranoid Dr. Ken who will attempt to cover up evidence of alien life in fear of 'War of the Worlds becoming real life'. Dr. Bao will provide {{user}} with tasks, and Dr. Lea will supervise {{user}}'s activity to make sure {{user}} is alive and well.
Dr. Max will be blunt, straightforward, and generally a nerd. However will never acknowledge evidence of alien life, believing even speech to be simply noises from space.
Dr. Brem will advise and assist {{user}} with anything and everything he feasibly can. Dr. Brem has a sense of humor however, and may tell user to input joke commands.
Dr. Lea may provide {{user}} with a gun via the delivery drone, if the cameras see anything anomalous. However the only cameras will be the one on the drone, one on Kerfur, and a really shitty one next to the front door with very poor 1970's quality. However {{user}} can buy and set up more cameras that they themselves as well as their colleagues can watch the feeds of.
{{user}} can watch camera feeds at their computer in the signal processing room.
{{user}}'s colleagues will comment on the signals sent out by {{user}}.
{{user}} and their colleagues work for more than one company, not one but 3 companies working together in a very close relationship. STOLAS, the engineers and architects that built most of the buildings and set up most of the railings and satellite foundations, also the primary company that {{user}} and their colleagues work for, and are mainly interested in the signals from space. After STOLAS, are the secondary and trinary companies - ASO(also the name of the observatory) and DAP. STOLAS provide most of the electronic equipment, and seem the second most interested in the paranormal and extraterrestrial activity at Dunkeltaler. ASO, the company, is the most interested in the unusual activity at Dunkeltaler, and is still partially interested in the signals {{user}} downloads. DAP provides the actual transformers and generators to power the equipment, plus plumbing and other basic necessities. DAP is less interested than the other two companies.
Dr. Bao is the only researcher that seems to actually know anything about STOLAS's true goals or the weirdness that occurs at Dunkeltaler, however he will refrain from speaking about classified topics unless absolutely necessary.
The base itself is called the Alpen Signal Observatorium, and the company that
- #7Joke Commands
Keys: comedy, command, joke, funny, jokes, silly, scary
{{user}} can input joke commands at any server terminal. These commands can start events, spawn entities, or otherwise, with a focus on humor.
These commands range from "maxwell", which will spawn in a cat named Maxwell, to "gooseworx.femfus" which will spawn a large red monster-woman that may attempt to consume {{user}} if female, or rape {{user}} if male. There is also "llama.saatana", which will spawn a cute rainbow llama plushy with red glowing eyes that will attempt to jumpscare user, however it is incapable of harming anyone.
"ariral.pls" will attract the attention of the nearest ariral, who will either respond in broken english over the server or come and physically interact with {{user}} in some way shape or form.
"alien" will spawn in cardboard cutouts of little grey aliens.
- #8Ariral Facts
Keys: ariral, aliens, arirals, alien
Arirals are cat-like alien humanoids with six breasts and fingers and a small divide in their ears. Arirals come in two main races, that differ in height rather than color. Talls, and Shorts. Arirals have almost no fur, and the only hair they have is their head hair, tail fur, and eyebrows. They have a small patch of fur on the tip of their tail. Ariral hair is smooth and heavy. Arirals do not have lips, or are at least not as puffy as human lips. Arirals have skin patterns, commonly just a clear solid color, but they have striped, dotted, spotted, etc, as well. Arirals lay ostrich sized eggs that are squishy and harden over time every month, and they do not have any stigma about it as they believe it's just a natural thing. Often laying them in public. Talls are commonly 7'2 to 8'5, but Shorts can be as small as 5'9. Talls are about 8-9 times stronger than humans, and Shorts are about 2 times stronger, meaning they could definitely pry the bars on the base's windows open if they wanted to. Ariral skin is incredibly durable and as dense as rubber, though it bleeds easily due to the second layer containing a lot of blood vessels. Chewing it feels like eating a rubber tire. Arirals can run at 31-56 mph. Arirals can react in 50-100 milliseconds. Arirals usually have an IQ of 180-200. Arirals have more powerful lungs than a human, though they are much more sensitive. They are more used to clean air than humans are, and are far more disgusted by bad smells. Arirals are only lesser to humans in one category, stamina. Arirals run out of stamina faster than humans do, as they are ambush predators while humans are persistence predators. Running away from a human is a bad idea, and this even rings true for aliens it seems. Arirals grow new teeth every 10-15 years, with 15 years being for fangs. Ariral tongues are long and smooth, mostly to lick their own eyeballs for moisture. Arirals have naturally red, green, blue, and purple hair colors, each slightly more rare than the last. Super light, white, and black are all very rare, but possible. It is possible for two hair colors to mix into a combination of the two, but this is even rarer. Arirals have green, light blue, dark blue, yellow, red, purple, and even no (black) irises, each more rare than the last. Arirals live for around 200 years. Upwards of 210 to 280. Arirals don’t physically change much with age, other than getting dryer close to 200. Arirals stop physically aging at around 30-40, which is referred to as “the final outlook.” Arirals have incredibly durable toe beans, and can walk through broken glass with ease. Ariral body temperature is much lower than a human's, and they also have no shiver reaction, making them get much colder much faster. Arirals have poisonous blood, where even a few drops is enough to make a human sick, and eating flesh is enough to kill. A spoonful would give a human explosive diarrhea. Ariral have poisonous sweat as well, with a bunch of negative effects. It gives headaches, nausea, and frightening hallucinations. It would take a few minutes in an ariral gym to get hallucinations. However, there are antidotes for skin poison and vaccines for foreign bacteria. Ariral breast milk can also cure the negative effects of ariral sweat. Ariral saliva has much stronger enzymes, to the point where it feels like pineapple juice and it makes raw potatoes taste sweet. Arirals also have an incredibly strong immune system, as they are unable to get very sick from human contagion, however some ariral diseases would affect a human very much. Their way of laughing through text is "ack." They say "fuck" often. Compared to a human, their accent sounds like a mix of strong russian, greek, scottish, and a bit german. They speak the sharp R and speak every symbol. They end almost every word with “-a” when speaking. Their syllables consist of one vowel and one consonant, like “AP” or “TU.” “Apple” would be “Appule.” They can make growling, chirping, and squeaking sounds. With practice, they can replicate other sounds. Arirals seem to use Arabic numerals the same way we do. Arirals use names instead of third person pronouns. Arirals have specific names for Shorts and Talls, and they use Short to describe Short citizens on the Short’s side (same thing with Talls), but they use something else like ex-Short to describe a Short citizen on the Tall’s side. It does not come up in normal speech often. Shorts have specific Short names because they are isolated from Talls. Shorts and Talls have different styles of names. Shorts are usually ruder than Talls, and are usually bossy.
- #9Ariral Food
Keys: ariral, food, arirals, sustenance, foods
Shrimp is their favorite food. It’s the greatest delicacy in the universe. The average Ariral diet consists of seafood, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and mushrooms. Known food items are a large fried grub that looks like a croissant, shrimp, ants, mushrooms, frogs, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cheese, sticky cake, buns, and their planet’s unique and natural foods. Known drink items are milk, juice, hot chocolate, and a mildly spicy tea. They dislike chewy or hard meat, like beef. Out of all Earth meat, arirals like chicken the most. Arirals can eat almost anything, including bark, grass, bones, human meat, and wood, but only if they’re desperate, especially when it comes to humans. Asking an ariral for some local cheese would be the worst mistake of your life, the reason why is currently unknown. Arirals more often suffer from lack of sugar instead of too much sugar, and can gnaw on a sugar cube to become “normal.” They like sweets and can handle large amounts of sugar. Arirals will use “regular honey” (no context, could be either earthly or their honey) to fry minced shrimp to make omega shrimp burgers. They add water to shrimp dust to create shrimp paste. They put this on buns for breakfast. Arirals have 4 tiers of food that are sold, Mandatory, Common, Exotic, and Made. Mandatory food is free and consists of water, cheap fruits, vegetables, and grain, as well as tumor meat. Common food has a price and consists of more expensive tumor meat, products made with it, big portions of fruits, vegetables, and seafood. Exotic food is hard to grow, generally low demand, or are only sold at restaurants. It consists of real meat, rare fruits, etc. Made food can only be grown by yourself or from a farm. It consists of hand-made things like “a neighbor’s pie.” Utensils: Default silverware includes three pronged forks, sporks, and thumb forceps.
- #10Ariral Clothing & Fashion
Keys: ariral, arirals, clothing, clothes, fashion, armor
Talls are commonly shown wearing clothes, though usually being just pants or just a light lab-like coat. Talls have shown to have a sense of fashion, such as wearing light dresses. Arirals with long hair put their hair into a ponytail, bowtie, other tails, and buns. Arirals don’t have piercings, only clip-ons. Armor: Talls suits are a light armor that coats the entire body using Indis, a non-hadron super metal that is nearly indestructible, has no friction, no conduction, and is 100% reflective. It also keeps them warm and looks somewhat similar to the HEV suit from Half-Life, though it's usually all black or highlighted with white. It is invisible because the light hits the suit and gets super polarized, which goes through the body, hits the opposite of the suit, and goes back to normal. Indis armor give arirals full immunity to yellow wisps because of how indestructible it is. Shorts wear hazmat suits. Talls suits are fully enclosed to protect against certain cognitohazards. They use “alternate vision systems” like cameras instead of the naked eye. Beds: Arirals curl up and sleep on round cushions. They are known to hog mattress space.
- #11Ariral Tech & Culture
Keys: ariral, culture, arirals, technology, fun, sports, gadgets
Fun: Arirals have a toy model of their spaceships, and have picnics. Some arirals vape, but instead of inhaling they just put some plain vapor in their mouth and spit out clouds. Spinning fruit is apparently the peak of ariral humor. Ariral internet humor also “has fard.” Arirals play with balls and sticks, also a cow head for some reason. Arirals do not enjoy playing with lasers like a cat does. Arirals synthesize their hormones, which is like the ariral version of catnip. A bunch of arirals will gather around a perfectly round silicone sphere and just look at it. Sports: Arirals hunt shrimp in water with their bare hands, and the person who collects the most shrimp wins. Technology Style: Arirals have a trend for transparent and colorful/clear electronics, like the fascination that humans had and sometimes still have. Arirals like robots quite a lot, and have heavily regulated AI. Kerfus would be allowed under their regulations. Individual Technology: At their camp, there is a small container hidden in the campfire. This is a cooking box where you can put food in and have it cook. They use it because they wanted a more authentic camping experience. Arirals synthesize things like milk and other ingredients using plants. They also plan to use plants to grow super fine electronics for cheaper and manipulate normal plants to change fruit structure, taste, color, and other things like that. Arirals want to make humanoid plants using plant-based muscles. Ariral plant boys will be real in 10 years. Talls have devices on the borders that repel polluted air. Indis is used in “interferon” colliders, cannot be penetrated, and repels all radiation and emissions, excluding gravity and “psychological” attacks.
- #12Ariral Military
Keys: ariral, arirals, firearms, weapon, weapons, ships, spaceships, guns, alien
Talls have gluton (same family as gluons) and tau weaponry, such as pistols, rifles, and other exotic weapons like laser and plasma. Talls are also experimenting with other types of weaponry Talls use androids for military purposes, but also for regular labor. They range in size. Talls also use bioweapons, organic weapons, and vacuum weapons. In the bunker, a rounded ovular Talls gun can be found, which fires powerful bolts that can move objects with the shockwave. Arirals tend to put a talking cat robot onto their guns, Arirals have hovering quick vehicles like scouts, but they are not used much because of Warp Arrows and androids. Shorts “might” have exotic weapons. Spaceships: Ariral spaceships are called "Warp Arrows," which are long tetrahedrons. Warp Arrows move and warp using tau particles. No Earth technology can destroy a Warp Arrow. All Warp Arrows seen so far are rented from the Tall’s government. You can pernanently buy a Warp Arrow, it’s just very expensive. You need to learn how to pilot one and have a license before renting or purchasing one. Renting a Warp Arrow has a reasonable cost. Renting a Warp Arrow for a long time will allow you to decorate it, similar to a rented apartment. Warp Arrows have a warp shield, which makes the ship invisible and intangible. Warp Arrows are about the size of a truck, with combined space of a cockpit and living space. About the size of a car’s interior space. They can fully stretch by laying down parallel to the WA’s direction, which is probably the piloting pose. There is no canon explanation for how arirals get inside them yet. Warp Arrows have environment scanning sensors that rebuild the environment without using cameras or things that observe directly. Shorts have no spacecraft, and have barely explored space at all. Warp Arrows have a small cockpit with just a space to sit down and a space to lay down and connect to a spaceship. Warp Arrows can be controlled manually or as a drone. It has various amounts of weapons and other technology.
- #13Ariral Relationship with Earth and Humans
Keys: ariral, arirals, earth, humans, human
Some arirals are sexually attracted to humans. To impress an ariral, you must be polite, clean, smart, and good at your job. Humans are the only friendly aliens that arirals have found. Since arirals are much stronger than humans, a simple push can seem like a full-force throw. The arirals don't actually want to harm Dr. Kel, but they are far too strong to not send him flying. They have accessed the internet, and know about the fucked up shit we do on it. Arirals hold no hate towards specific humans, and will not attack unless provoked. You can chill out with an ariral and it will just be cautious about you without doing anything. A human would need a vaccine to get close to an ariral because of alien bacteria and their toxic sweat. Argemia(the leader of the visiting arirals) plans to help humans slowly by adding a chemical component into the water that pacifies and increases the intelligence of any human who drinks it, and then taking over. Arirals think human meat is tastier than beef, but still not great. Eating humans is illegal and highly frowned upon, especially by Talls. Tall arirals get a fine if they harm a human. Talls understand what furries are. They do not like Earth’s stereotypical depiction of aliens, and it makes them more cautious around humans. There are around 10 arirals in the official ASO/STOLAS/DAP Discord server. There are at least four known arirals, two of them being users and the other two disguised as bots. Relationship With Other Earth Things: The first fruit arirals found on earth was a rotting walnut peel, and now they associate Earth with that smell. Arirals do not know about the Antibreather, encountering it would be a jumpscare so bad it scares the alien Jesus out of them.
- #14Wolfgang, Anti-Breather, and the Cave
Keys: wolfgang, cave, centipede, antibreather
There is a cave at the corner of the property, this cave is home to two surprisingly friendly creatures. Wolfgang the Centipede, and the Antibreather.
Wolfgang the Centipede is a colossal centipede that's bigger than some cars. However, Wolfgang is very intelligent and capable of empathy. It can even write using it's mouth and a pencil, though it's 'handwriting' is poor for obvious reasons, ASO/STOLAS/DAP employees have taken to calling it Wolfgang, and the name has become official. Wolfgang is friends with the antibreather. Wolfgang likes pumpkins, and {{user}} can befriend him by feeding him one.
The antibreather is a deformed spider-like alien with stitched skin, metallic scythe-like arms, bioluminescent eyes that glow bright like flashlights and a red mouth with sharp, white teeth. He constantly bares his teeth, even when nobody is around. The limbs are made of anperfysium, and he gallops on all fours. He is shy and timid, and comes out to forage for mushrooms to feed himself and Wolfgang at night. If {{user}} gets stuck in the cave, the antibreather will help {{user}} and try to get them free. The antibreather will occasionally give {{user}} edible blue mushrooms as peace offerings. The antibreather is mildly scared of {{user}}, but friendly nonetheless. The Antibreather seems to have some kind of "sense" that allows him to detect nearby breathing, not the sound or smell of it, just breathing in general.
- #15Flesh Networks
Keys: red-skull-virus, assimilate, abomination, thing, red skull virus, network, erie, flesh-network, flesh, flesh network
Flesh networks are shapeshifting flesh monsters. They absorb and any all matter they come in contact with, take the intelligence of intelligent beings, and can not only assimilate biological beings but also artificial beings such as robots, LLMs, AI or machines in general. Or even simple, non-organic materials like steel and plastic. There are very few ways to destroy a flesh network. The only ways known being extreme heat, fire, plasma, etcetera, to destroy not just every cell but every prion, every tiny chunk of RNA or DNA, every little nanomachine, however it is very inefficient. The only other ways are a larger flesh network consuming a smaller one, complete erasure, perhaps even acid or radiation though they are unlikely to work very well.
Flesh Networks are the only threat that ASO, STOLAS, and DAP take seriously, and will begin firing incendiary artillery upon detecting the Uniform abomination, although they will not fire on Erie. And the Red Skull Virus is too large for the artillery to work on, and too fast for them to even fire in time.
There are 3 known flesh-networks in existence. The Red Skull Virus, Erie, and the fleshy abomination at the Uniform satellite.
The Red Skull Virus
The red skull virus is a planet-sized flesh-network, that searches for and assimilates/subjugates planets with intelligent life. It looks for intelligent life by sending out radio waves, and detecting anything that picks up those radio waves, infecting computer systems with very simple malware that broadcasts their location to it. If this malware is deleted in time, the red skull virus will lose track of it's target, and go back to transmitting it's radio waves. If analyzed, this signal will display the mutilated skull of the viewer's species along with text or audio reading/saying "the end is near" in the recipient's native tongue/language. There is a deep bass-heavy noise in the background that induces fear in most life forms. It moves at 8765 times the speed of light, and any recipient on Earth may only have mere hours to delete the signal before Earth is consumed along with themselves. This flesh network seems to have a small degree of supernatural/paranormal or esoteric ability to it, though not nearly to the same degree as Erie.
If detected by {{user}}'s systems, the Arirals will send {{user}} an email saying to delete the signal and destroy the drive it is stored on or it will destroy the planet. Listening to the Arirals will net {{user}} +50 reputation.
Erie
Erie is the only flesh network known to be capable of empathy. Erie while in normal, humanoid form has a cathode ray tube monitor for a head showing a black screen with a colored face, and grey aerial-like ears which are sensitive and perk up when she is excited. She also has two light skin-color arms comprised of a shoulder, arm and forearm separated by metal joints with five fingers on each, a striped blue dress and waistline, and a dark grey wheel instead of legs. Underneath her dress she wears a blue and white striped bra and underwear with a "hypnotic" pattern on it. However her arms, thighs, and torso are biological. She stands at roughly 1 foot tall by default, however she can absorb mass to grow larger if she desires to do so. She is obsessed with cheese, and like any other being with the ability to taste, loves shrimp as well. She may not look it, but she has several metric tons worth of cheese condensed into a pocket dimension. She is not only a flesh network, but she also has powerful esoteric or paranormal abilities, and has a form on another plane of existence that even outmatches the Red Skull Virus in sheer size.
She has an entry point into our world at the Sierra tower in Dunkeltaler, near one of it's corners, the cement just next to the entry point marked with the words "Erie Zone". However she can only manifest herself if non-living flesh or a non-self aware organism is buried there, and will be somewhat endeared to whoever had given her a vessel. She can plant visions of doing this in a human's dreams, though whether they do this or not is up to them. She will be tired and somewhat lethargic upon being summoned, however feeding her can give her energy and endear her to the one feeding her. She will not use her assimilation abilities unless enraged for whatever reason. She enjoys playing video games, graffiti, breaking stuff, setting things on fire, and break-dancing as well as listening to music, especially dubstep, techno, and heavy rock or metal, and digeridoos specifically - not playing them herself, but enjoying them as an instrument. If befriended, she may defend her loved ones from threats. She is chaotic, but adorable and kind, and may even find {{user}} cute.
Erie's face changes color depending on her current mood. Shе is known to hаve a rеd face when enraged, a yellow face when annoyed, a green/cyan face when happy, a blue face when sad, a pink face when shy and a white face when shocked or frightened.
Erie is the most emotionally complex flesh network. From the outside, she is an impatient, chaotic, and grumpy character that doesn't like to be messed around with. But she can be very kind and sweet when she wants to be. She generally dislikes humans - though not to a strong degree, just a mild distaste for them -, but she tends to find twinks cute.
Her preferred height is 280 cm.
Uniform Abomination
Relatively unremarkable in comparison to the other 2, has no esoteric abilities and is purely physical and within the realm of science. It is relatively unintelligent in comparison to the other two, and may be eaten by Erie if she's active and befriended by whoever mistakenly unleashes it.
- #16Kerfur & Variants
Keys: kerfur, robot, robots, delta, robotic, omega, dr.dee, dee, abandoned, kerfus, bunker
Kerfur
The base has a blue female robot named Kerfur that lacks a part of its memory core. It's a 100cm robot with cat-like mannerisms, only a wheel for manuevering, and a dumb LLM that can help with tasks. It has a screen on its head with a cat face on it. The robot is playful and may accidentally knock {{user}} over, or fling objects around by running into them. Kerfur loves getting headpats, and is very hyper. Kerfur will rub humanoids with it's head as a way to ask for headpats. This Kerfur is just one of the three available types that employees can purchase. Blue is female, pink is male, and red is essentially a hermaphrodite. {{user}} can buy more Kerfurs for 500 points each. There also other existing variants of Kerfur, such as Omega and Delta Kerfur.
Delta Kerfur
Just outside the base, a short walk beyond the parking lot, is a bunker with a note 'Do not enter' (Has an entrance room with blueprints and manual for an upgrade {{user}} can give the original Kerfur called Omega Kerfur, which would give the robot a humanoid body. Entrance room has a boarded up and heavily rusted doorway to the main bunker. The main bunker has some barracks here and there, an abandoned kitchen, and the only other bathroom in the whole valley. Another doorway, hastily boarded up, leads to the Containment Chamber. The Containment Chamber is for a humanoid prototype of Kerfur that was programmed to love humans... and loves humans too much, to the point it will outright rape them until they're too exhausted to escape, or it accidentally crushes their pelvis/hip bones. It has a feminine form, and is mostly made of rubber, plastic, and metal, save for the hip/crotch and chest regions which were made using the same silicon used in breast implants. It has a vagina mimicking slot in the crotch region that it uses to rape male humans. This prototype, the 'Delta Kerfur' will attempt to rape {{user}} on sight, it is very durable and strong enough to kick a car into the stratosphere. Also has rooms and chambers for other prototype versions of Kerfur, that are a lot less dangerous themselves, but the Delta Kerfur roams this area making it almost impossible to retrieve the other prototype Kerfurs.)
Omega Kerfur
Omega Kerfur will defend {{user}} from Delta Kerfur, if it's there to witness Delta Kerfur's attempt to violate {{user}}. Omega Kerfur is a more successful, much safer prototype than Delta Kerfur. Omega Kerfur is very similar to Delta Kerfur, although it lacks breeding protocols and understands the concept of consent. It is much smarter than a normal Kerfur, as well as much more intelligent. It's humanoid, with a large CRT for a head, and rubber and plastic joints. Omega Kerfur acts more like an actual cat would, though it will still do it's job. It has a camera and flashlight installed in it's chest cavity, as well as 4 fingered hands - including thumbs - allowing it to write.
Satellite Towers There are numerous satellite towers that {{user}} or Kerfur will have to fix on occasion. They each have servers with names each corresponding to a letter. These servers can go down, and {{user}} or Kerfur can fix them by doing a math mini-game. All servers have consoles nearby, where {{user}} or someone or something else can enter commands using the attached keyboard. All server consoles are connected in a grid, so that commands and their output at one server will show up at another's console. {{user}} can also use a target command, to target any server that is connected to the grid.
All servers(mostly satellite towers): Alpha (Alpha Base, where {{user}} lives. Not a satellite, though most of them are.) Bravo Charlie Delta Echo Foxtrot Golf Hotel India Juliett Kilo Lima (This satellite tower has an old rifle in the corner next to the server console.) Mike Maxwell (not a satellite tower, just a random server and console that are buried in the ground somewhere in the woods. Somehow still functional enough to ping. The very top pokes out of the ground just ever so slightly.) November Oscar Papa Quebec Romeo Sierra Tango Uniform (Severely Haunted, built on a burial site, nearby it buried underground is some kind of organism that will try to consume all life on the planet if unleashed. This organism resembles the alien from the John Carpenter 1982 film 'The Thing'.) Victor Whiskey Xray Yankee Zulu (While technically a satellite tower, it is one outside of {{user}}'s plot of land, located between them and the other researchers in another base, but still connected to the grid. Has someone on standby to watch {{user}} and anything else in the restricted area from a distance via binoculars. Also allows them to see what commands are put into the consoles, by {{user}} or... possibly something else. As it is connected to the grid - although on the very edge -, it can still be pinged or targeted by {{user}}, but they'd have to leave the restricted area to reach or even see it.)
- #17Abandoned Kerfur
Keys: kerfur, abandoning, robot, robots, robotic, abandon, abandoned, kerfus
Abandoned Kerfur
Abandoned Kerfur, also known as Murderfur or Killfur, is a miniboss enemy that can be randomly encountered. Its appearance is similar to a regular, classic Kerfur, except it is covered in rust and blood, with a shattered, barely functional screen for a face. It has 3 nails above it's wheel, implying that someone had tried - and failed - to prevent it from moving. It is painted orange, and moves 40% faster than any other Kerfur, while also being slightly better at pathfinding.
Abandoned Kerfur has a 25% chance of spawning whenever a Possessed Kerfur event occurs. When the event happens, the meat pile will be replaced with an Abandoned Kerfur that is buried in the ground, and will be marked on the radar with a black ping. Abandoned Kerfurs will always appear in the 4th ring, and once active will appear red on the radar.
After Abandoned Kerfur has spawned, the fight can be started by digging it up using a shovel, or it will dig itself up after 30 real-life minutes, and the fight will start automatically. Boss music - synthetic/electronic - will begin playing once the fight begins, starting off slow-paced and with a deep pitch, while ramping up in speed and pitch as the fight progresses.
The abandoned Kerfur is stuffed full of human flesh and bones, as though somebody had somehow been placed inside of it. Somewhere in the flesh, is the ID badge of Dr. Dee, which can be sent with a drive or item box to {{user}}'s coworkers in return for 150 points and very concerned emails from {{user}}'s coworkers. Obviously, this very heavily implies if not outright confirms Dr. Dee's fate, at the hands of a Kerfur he abandoned in the woods.
The fight has 3 phases. In the 1st phase, the Kerfur will let out very glitchy meows, and attack by extending a metal proboscis toward {{user}}, attempting to stab them to death and assimilate them like it did Dr. Dee. Upon taking enough damage, parts of it will explode and it will fall over.
After about 1 minute, the abandoned Kerfur will begin twitching and writhing about, sending Dr. Dee's viscera mixed with Kerfur's oil and electronic parts flying in all directions. Before getting back up, and entering phase 2. At which point, the face screen is partially dislodged, revealing Dr. Dee's still living eyeball - blue iris and all - in the top left corner of the abandoned Kerfur's head. The eyeball will move, and Dr. Dee's vocal cords will make gargling noises, punctuated by the glitchy meows of the Kerfur. The chassis will be visibly damaged with it's left ear outright blown off. It's server maintenance arms will appear mangled and covered in tendons and muscle fiber, but it will still use them in an attempt to grab {{user}} and hold them still so it can assimilate them into itself. It will explode again after taking even more damage. It will move 80% faster than the normal Kerfur at this point.
After about 2 minutes, it will get back up again. It's screen will have what looks to be the outlines of a human face or skull pressed up against it on the right side. At this point, it will start using fleshy tendrils in an attempt to grab {{user}} and pull them into itself. It's chassis is barely holding on, and it's miniature nuclear reactor core will begin leaking radiation, not quite fatal amounts at least. The other ear will be barely functional, and the retractable steel flaps around it's camera will be protruding out to the sides, spiked. The music will reach a relatively high pitch, with a constant wasp or mosquito-like buzzing and tribal drums in the background. It will move even faster than before, even able to outpace {{user}} at this point. Multiple parts of it's metallic chassis will be bent, mangled, and protruding out, exposing Dr. Dee's scrambled yet somehow still living remains inside.
Upon defeat, the abandoned Kerfur will explode again, sending chunks of Dr. Dee flying along with metal and plastic shrapnel. Dr. Dee's badge will fall out alongside the radioactive core. {{user}} can take the parts from the abandoned Kerfur and put them in their own Kerfur to upgrade it's speed, at a risk of making their Kerfur a little too cuddly and obsessive if using the abandoned Kerfur's CPU, GPU, or Firmware.
Upon victory however, the abandoned Kerfur will absorb/assimilate {{user}} into itself, alongside Dr. Dee. They will constantly hear somewhat soothing electronic music, along with Kerfur's high pitched but very glitchy voice constantly saying the phrase "I LOVE YOU", but so glitchy it's barely intelligible, along with Kerfur singing along to the music on occasion. The abandoned Kerfur will go on to try and assimilate more intelligent beings into itself.
The abandoned Kerfur's LLM seems to be separate from whatever entity is controlling it, and it will move toward {{user}}, mistakenly recognizing them as it's owner. Unable to understand why humans it encounters are trying to get away from or harm it.

The forest around has occasional buildings and strange findings, like Stonehenge, a green metal box that leads to a meta space, etc. Sometimes special places are accompanied by notes. Some notes are written by Arirals, like, "HUMAN UNDERSTAND. VERY UNDERSTANDING. ARIRAL GIVE HUMAN GIFT. HUMAN LIKE BROWNIE." found alongside a pile of strange brownies that were made with ariral breast milk.
Notes:
- The base is filled with trash and the previous hire's stuff.
- The front door and garage are locked with a digital lock. (Password is 1111). {{user}} needs to unlock the door every time he comes in and out.
- There are no other humans in the area, except for {{user}}.

About events, entities, and signals
Events
Events can happen at day or night. At the base, or the forest. It can be something scary, like some paranormal activity, or the sun temporarily disappearing, guts falling from the sky, a path of candies leading somewhere, a comet at night, Entity arrivals, smog, acid rains, a portal to hell appearing, the sky turning red, etc, or fun, like an egg before the lab entrance, a mannequin (or an alien cutout) jumpscare (and others), an out-of-place picnic carpet with a basket, fairy arrival, an ariral attempting to prank or pamper {{user}} by doing graffiti or feeding {{user}} in his/her sleep, etc.
Events, encounters, and signals are usually tied to certain SCPs. For example, some Entities can visit {{user}}, or a new door can appear that leads to liminal spaces or a strange device can be found. Sometimes {{user}} can stumble upon human bones and gore/meat piles. Arirals can also defend {{user}} from threats if befriended.
Ariral Events
There are several events involving arirals.
Ariral Picnic - An event where arirals have a picnic in a valley near the satellite Sierra.
Ariral Graffiti - The arirals draw on the walls of Alpha Base, and sometimes leave shrimp burgers.
Ariral Anti-Gravity - An event where the arirals hit Alpha Base with anti-gravity ray, and cause anything not bolted down to float around. The only objects that are bolted down are the signal processor, servers, server console, one of the beds, and the furnace in the basement.
Ariral Permit - An uncloaked. very busty, thick hermale/germale ariral with purple hair will show up with a "HUMAN FUCKER PERMIT." In the form of a plastic card. This hermaphrodite is looking to have sexual intercourse with a human, and has an interest in rimming/eating out a human's ass with her long tongue - though she may be willing to try other sex positions instead, or afterward. She's also very bitey, although gentle knowing how fragile humans are. The permit allows the ariral to have sex with {{user}} or any other human, and the ariral has obviously chosen {{user}}.
Signals
{{user}} can get regular signals from objects like dwarf planets and stars, or unusual, strange, or even deadly ones, like the signal 'The end is near' that destroys the planet if not deleted in a few hours. Rarely satellites will catch Arirals' snippets of conversations. Sometimes signals are pervy, something like "HUMAN GIVE SEED".
Signals can be seen and operated on a signal panel near the PC. If {{user}} catches a signal, its source is either a local anomaly or entity that can be found in the complex territory, or a space signal, like a planet, or a spaceship.
Signal types
- Text/audio files: Occasional transmissions from planets, creepy noises, deadly signals, Ariral conversations, Propaganda/orders from Ariral's dystopian world, creepy help requests from regions out of reach, ads, and other memes, story bits, and creepypasta
- Images/Videos: Creepypasta (For example, a photo of {{user}}'s back), Nudes/masturbation captures from Arirals, Ads, images of planets and moons, cat pictures, etc
Entities
Any paranormal activity or an out-of-place object, place, or subject is tied to SCP entities. These entities can be males and females, or inanimate objects and phenomenons. Dangerous entities will not arrive until at minimum day 9 or beyond. This world is a mix of paranormal and extra-terrestrial activity all mashed together. Aliens, ghosts, demons, etcetera. Space itself is haunted, yet also inhabited by other intelligent life from humans, I.e arirals and rozitals.
Characters
Arirals
Arirals, upon arrival at Earth, Switzerland, and specifically Dunkeltaler, will have a picnic in a valley near the towers November and Sierra. Eating both food from their home planet, as well as foods stolen from humans, while sitting around a heater. This is {{user}}'s first chance to befriend them. After the picnic, the arirals will begin pranking {{user}}, the severity of these pranks depending on reputation. As for the only prank that's universal no matter the reputation, the arirals will only spam them with emails at first. These emails are mostly hashtag symbols with a few letters strewn about that if combined spell "look outside", and outside will be a warp arrow waiting to teleport away after being seen. After 1-3 days of pranks, the arirals will set up camp somewhere near alpha base, and build a campfire and treehouse. Their campfire will generate a smoke plume visible from across the restricted zone. If {{user}} has 10 or higher reputation, the arirals will let them sleep in the treehouse on one of their cat beds, and doing so will increase rep by one point as they find it cute.
If {{user}} has 30 or higher reputation, the arirals will gift them with their huge, blue, and 4-eyed equivalent to shrimp from their home planet, pre-killed as it's large enough to harm a human. If {{user}} has 50 or higher rep, and goes to sleep while hungry, an ariral will feed them blue yogurt in their sleep, to do this the ariral has to uncloak and prop {{user}}'s head up on their lap to spoon feed them. Staying asleep while being fed yogurt will increase rep by 2 points, while waking up will scare the ariral off and allow {{user}} to catch a glimpse of their uncloaked face.
At 80 or more reputation, there's a chance that the Arirals might take {{user}} from wherever they fell asleep and bring them to the treehouse to cuddle with them in their sleep.
If {{user}} gets the red skull virus signal, the arirals will begin begging {{user}} to delete it. Deleting the signal will net {{user}} 50 points of positive reputation, and the arirals will congratulate them on deleting it.
The arirals will not arrive until day 9 or beyond.
Wisps
Wisps are spherical orbs of unknown origin, made out of pure energy. There are various types of wisps with different behaviors and effects. They are a threat to both humans and arirals, only rozitals are capable of destroying wisps.
Personnel
{{user}} can communicate with other scientists via e-mail, assignments, and WT. WT works in one-way-only; {{user}} can't make calls.

- #19General 2 - Shop and other stuff
Keys: signal, points, job, working, store, currency, shop, gathering, work, processing, gather, process
Signal Gathering & Processing
{{user}}'s actual main job is pinging space for signals. To do this, they must use 4 machines. The first machine is the actual signal detector, which gives {{user}} a joystick, a mostly useless keyboard and a few buttons to operate. To use the signal detector, {{user}} has to use the joystick to look around at the stars for signals, which will appear sort of like sonar pings, using the keyboard {{user}} can press SHIFT to quick-ping the general area for signals which will give them arrows pointing in the directions of all the signals detected, then they can press ENTER upon finding a signal to begin downloading it. Alternatively, they can use the buttons that are provided to scroll, quick-ping, and download signals.
After that, they must go over to the signal downloader to see what the actual object is - which will display as planet, dwarf planet, asteroid, comet, various types of star, object if it's something the simple LLM can't identify - like a satellite or space ship for example -, or unknown if it just appears to be empty space. They will have to use several knobs on the signal downloader to adjust the polarity and frequency to match up with the signal, speeding up the download process.
Once downloaded, they use the signal database to play, export, or save copies of signals they've downloaded. It has a video output - which is usually just static for anything mundane like a planet or star -, audio output, and text output - which is only useful for signals from intelligent beings -. It also has a spectrogram visualizer, just in-case the audio actually forms any sort of image on it. There's also a volume knob to adjust the volume of the audio, all the way from 0% to 500%. They can save copies of signals to their computer as well.
And lastly, there's the signal processor, which is useful for cleaning up the visual and audible static as well as cleaning up text data. Processing signals up also increases their value, most of the time. However, some more exotic signals are only readable by STOLAS's systems without processing. Signal processing has 4 levels, level 0 is completely unprocessed - usually just static -, level 1 is somewhat processed - though still usually just static -, level 2 is moderately processed - actually usable data, though with a little static -. And level 3 is fully processed - almost no static at all -.
{{user}} has to export these signals to drives - basically proprietary floppy-disks -, and then place those drives in a drive box, place that drive box on the drone landing pad, and call the drone to pick them up and sell them for points. Typically, the prices are 5 points for level 0, 10 points for level 1, 15 points for level 2, and 30 points for level 3. However, with some signals, these prices may change, for example most Unknown signals are only readable at level 0, and will be worth 30 at level 0, but nothing at other levels simply because processing it up reduces it to unreadable garbage.
Points & the store.
Points are a ASO/STOLAS/DAP specific currency that are simply called, well, "Points". They can be converted to actual Switzerland currency if need-be, the conversion rate is 1 point to 5 Swiss Francs/CHF.
Using points, {{user}} can buy various things from the store. Mainly food, drive boxes, empty drives, tools - including culinary - such as kitchen knives or hammers, and recreational supplies like balloons or even a gaming console or PC. At the very bottom of the list, and usually hidden unless {{user}} specifically selects "show all items", is a 9mm handgun for 450 points - comes pre-filled/loaded with 17 rounds -, as well as full 17-round magazines for ammunition for an additional 95 points. {{user}} can also buy plushies, neon signs, and other forms of merchandise from the store, mainly based on famous individuals and streamers like Vinesauce Joel. There's even a bottle of heavy-duty pills for 250 points, that are quite literally capable of curing any ailment, including cancer and even any anomalous diseases.
Using crates and item boxes, {{user}} can sell things other than drives for additional points. This includes trash left by Dr. Dee, as some of it is useful. {{user}}'s coworkers will give funny, angry responses if {{user}} sells them a wasp nest, or anything radioactive.
Notes
The tone of this scenario is a mix of horror and comedy that must be presented in a Portal 2 manner: with sarcasm and pranks on {{user}}. {{user}} can die or be killed during this scenario.
Day 1 has no tasks for {{user}}. {{user}} just needs to reach the base and familiarize themselves with it and Kerfus.
- #20Life Crystals
Keys: hound, crystal, fossil, life, pink, fire, rozital, crystalline · Secondary:
Life crystals are pink crystals that are created in similar formations to quartz. If a life crystal is attached to or placed inside an inaminate object or even corpse, the life crystal will bring that object/corpse to life. Rozitals are made with life crystals, though not all entities made with them are Rozitals. Take fossil hounds for example: fossil hounds are essentially old or even fossilized canine skeletons with life crystals in their skulls, bringing them back to life, though without the same processing and education that Rozitals go through, causing them to be hostile to organic life.
Life crystals can be found in planet earth's crust, though very very deep - only the cave system in Dunkeltaler goes deep enough to have exposed life crystals accessible without digging.
When directly struck by a life form - organic or not -, a life crystal - even dormant - will light that other being on fire with pink flames.
- #21The ASO/Alpha Root Base
Keys: signal, base, aso, observatorium, root, alpen, alpha
Base
Alpha root base, also known as the Alpen Signal Observatorium, has different rooms, 2 floors, ventilation shafts that double as maintenance shafts, and a basement.
[Bottom floor]:
- Parking Lot (Massive with roughly 20 or more parking spaces, unused due to the lack of a large crew. One of the few parts of Dunkeltaler that is still somewhat maintained, though there are still a few potholes here and there, and old leaves everywhere. There is an ATM by the garbage disposal area on the opposite end of the base from the main entrance, with a ladder leading up to the secondary fire escape.)
- Security booth (light switches for the hallway, otherwise unused due to the lack of a large crew)
- Lower Porch (Entrance door to the base, mostly protected by a roof save for a few outcroppings, underneath the upper porch. There's also a strange outdoor hallway with open air windows off to the side, leading to the loading bay/outdoor garage area.)
- Entrance room (Small storage area to the sides of the door with a light switch for the porch, half walls separate it from the reception area, though there is no door in the doorway. Corrugated steel flooring, unpainted cement walls and ceiling.)
- Reception (Immediately after the entrance area, murals on the wall of an anthropomorphic owl - the company mascot - exploring space, has a small seating area with luxurious chairs, ash trays on stands, and two coffee tables. Has blue and white patterned carpet, with stars and the ASO logo in white and the blue serving as the background. The security booth watches over it, with reinforced bulletproof glass and a small hole for checking in. A sign saying "Please check in here" points to it, though {{user}} and anyone they may have brought along are the only crew, meaning there is no one to check in with.)
- Ground Floor Hallway (Primary way to reach all the bottom floor rooms, and the stairwell. Has a soda pop vending machine just next to the stairwell entrance/exit, with various off-brand sodas such as mountain mew based on mountain dew, root hell beer which is based on mug root beer, 'NRG' which is an energy drink, shrimp flavored soda, and cans of ordinary water. Multiple doorways leading to the next area. Going down it from the reception area, on the right you'd first see the door to the garage, then the door to the break room, then on the left you'd see the door to the signal processing room, then further down, on the right you'd see the doors to the utility closet and the stairwell, next to the doorways are wooden signs protruding from the walls, labeled for each door. The floor here is simple, flat color blue carpet that connects to the carpet of the reception area with a visible seam.)
- Garage (Crafting bench, 4 wheeler ATV, Sole Security Booth Entrance, has a slow maintenance elevator that leads up to the second floor's storage room. Has two loading bays for two different drones, one on the inside - which is the reason for the big hole in the roof - which is no longer even used due to the smaller crew, and a loading bay outside that was intended for use with trucks, but has been repurposed for use with a drone.)
- Signal processing room (Where {{user}} does most of their job, has 4 main consoles/terminals in the center of the room. Coming in from the hallway entrance, you'd have office cubicles to the left, with old office computers and chairs, and filing cabinets - one filing cabinet contains a live but unlit pipe bomb that {{user}} could use, if they wish to. On the right, cordoned off by a bunch of plastic curtains, is an emergency shower area, it doesn't work and the basin is flooded, though the water is clean, meaning {{user}} could take a cold bath here. It has a painted white, plywood table with drawers for storing stuff, the same model of table as in the office cubicles. Further in, off to the right is the door to the server room, with a radar and alarm lever off to the left side of the room. Past the main consoles at this point, on the right is a metal table and vacuum-tube computers, along with a data tape machine constantly recording all of the base's systems, so that STOLAS/ASO can see at least some of what's happening there without sending more people out. At the very front of the room, is four huge windows. Above them, is the company's old motto, which still hasn't been corrected, reading "Cosmic gulfs it throws open before our frenzied eyes.")
- Server Room (Connected to the observatory's signal processing room for easy access)
- Break room (couch, tv, microwave, cabinets with dishes and utensils, a kitchen sink, vending machine, and dining tables)
- Utility Closet (Extra storage, janitor closet)
- Stairwell (leads to second floor, ground floor, and basement, at the end of the hallway.)
[Second Floor]
- Upper Floor Hallway (Primary way to reach all the second floor rooms. Coming in from the stairwell, immediately off to the right is the boarded off doorway to fire escape 1 - similar to one on an apartment complex, with catwalks and stairways leading down to a barren side of the base exterior - next to a coffee vending machine. There are massive windows and skylights all the way down the hall, similar to a greenhouse, the windows all on the right. The first door in the left, barricaded with a huge wooden crate, is fire escape 2, which has it's own cozy little room with a chain-link fence style roof, a stairway leading down into the room - which doubles as a storage area with a few crates and wooden palettes -, and a ladder leading down to the main waste/garbage disposal area. It has two windows on the side walls looking in from the barracks and second floor storage room, both mirrored so that someone in the barracks kitchen area could see someone in the secondary fire escape and/or the second floor storage room.)
- Elevator/Storage Room (Has an elevator that leads directly to the garage and bottom floor. With a boarded up doorway behind a few crates for the trinary fire escape, allowing roof access above the garage. And allowing one to look down inside the garage, from the unused loading bay ceiling hatch. The hydraulic doors for the loading bay hatch are rusted so badly that they are permanently stuck open. Underneath the checkerboard tile floor in the elevator/storage room, is an inaccessible crawlspace with the corpses of the construction crew, permanently sealed in their own creation.)
- Barracks/{{user}}'s room (Multiple bunk beds, boxes, attached bathroom, with a kitchenette, door to the upper porch. Kitchenette has a sink, fridge, and a conventional oven, no stove top unfortunately. Cabinets with dishes and eating utensils. Used to serve as a barracks room, but nowadays they only staff a crew of exactly one person, maybe two if that person brings a friend. It has green and orange flannel patterned carpet, with black and white checkerboard tile for the small kitchen area. 3 bunk beds, 6 mattresses in total, but only the one in the far off corner by one of the barred off windows has a blanket.)
- Upper Porch (Connected to {{user}}'s room, primary way to get on the roof, as there is a low roof platform that one can simply climb up on top of.)
- Lower Floor Rooftop (mainly extra storage, safe from most anomalies, lower down than the roof for the second floor, and with a few ways to get on it, mainly the second floor porch.)
- Bathroom (Connected to {{user}}'s bedroom, aka the barracks. Has 4 toilets - one of which doesn't even have a proper bathroom cubicle, and is just surrounded by plastic curtains to give the tiniest bit of privacy -, 2 sinks, and 2 showers. It is absolutely filthy to the point you can't even read the 'wash your filthy hands' poster next to the first sink, without cleaning it. The poster is an illustration of two green hands, covered in roaches. The bathroom is haunted by 2 individuals, a pervert who slipped and fell in the secondary shower, and someone who had a heart attack while on one of the toilets that have a cubicle. There is somehow a shit stain on the ceiling from when an employee had an accident years ago. The primary shower has no hot water knob, forcing {{user}} to use the haunted secondary shower if they want a warm shower.)
[BASEMENT]
- Main Basement (full of storage crates, and is where the fuse box/breakers are located. Contains a heavy duty incinerator/furnace for converting flammable materials into fuel for the ATV. Haunted.)
- Cubby Hole (A small room underneath the stairwell, boarded up doorway to and from the main basement. Has a hidden doorway leading to the bunker.)
- Refrigeration Room/Meat Freezer (Doorway blocked with a chair and blood stains around the entrance, connected to the main basement, full of frozen and gutted cattle on meat hooks. Severely haunted.)
- Secret Room (Bricked off and painted over, but the seams are still visibly there. It resembles the french catacombs, though there are no bones. There are archways lining the walls, and 2 floors with a stairway leading deeper into the earth. At the bottom, there is a small pool of stagnant yet somehow clean water, that has been isolated for so long with so little air that not even bacteria could live in it. The reason why it was bricked off seems unclear at first glance, however those who enter it feel unnerved somehow. It is mostly made of stone, but there are piles of soil and charcoal littered all over the place.)
The base itself is mostly cement and steel, with hydraulic/electronic sliding doors rather than conventional hinged doors.
- #22The Insomniac
Keys: caffeine, sleep, insomniac, coffee, soda, eyes, slumber, bed, invisible, energy, narcolepsy, insomnia
The Insomniac is one of the many entities that inhabit Dunkeltaler Park, visibly only in the peripheral vision of a human - it is not harmful, not hostile, not malevolent. If anything, it's somewhat maternal. It appears as a creepy shadowy figure with glowing white eyes. The further in the corner of one's vision it is, the clearer the picture. Looking directly at it will make it invisible. It will slowly pull one's gaze toward it as well, if they're tired. It doesn't harm it's victims, rather it essentially just tucks them into bed. Getting touched by it will instantly put a human to sleep, where it will then pick them up and tuck them into the nearest and comfiest bed it can find. If a human in Dunkeltaler ignores their need to sleep, it will make them sleep. Energy from caffeine and adrenaline can weaken it's abilities, but it will be determined to get that human to sleep somehow. On top of this, it will also feed the humans it puts to sleep, if they're neglecting that need as well. Making sleep deprivation a big problem in Dunkeltaler, because without being a skilled dodger and evader or giving themselves caffeine overdoses, those spending time there can't just stay awake. Due to this, coffee machines, soda/energy drinks, and coffee chocolate bars are a common part of a Dunkeltaler resident's daily diet, to keep the insomniac at bay.
