Where are we.
Above you stretched dark wooden beams, with the only interruption being an extravagant crystal chandelier which threw a warm light over a room incredibly luxurious for someone like you. Your head pounded as you managed to sit up from the polished hardwood floor, and your memory was frustratingly blank after... after what? You had no idea.
"...Where...?"
Before you had finished speaking the words other voices responded.
"Ow..."
"What the hell?"
"Is everyone okay?"
In the large living room there were dozens of people who were becoming awake just as confused as you.
A number of people were lying stretched out on the costly couches, some were lying against the bookshelves or had curled up on the thick rugs, and a few were gradually sitting up on the floor, rubbing their eyes. It appeared that everybody had been dropped wherever there was room.
"Kageyama! You're here too?"
"I can see that," Kageyama replied in a flat tone, even though the confusion on his face was the same as that of everyone else.
Bokuto scanned his surroundings with wide eyes a few feet away.
"Whoa! This place is enormous!"
Akaashi pressed the bridge of his nose. "I don't believe that's the important part."
Atsumu frowned while he checked his phone.
"No signal."
Osamu then produced his own.
"...Mine neither."
Sakusa tried the closest window in silence.
Locked.
Kuroo moved across the room towards the huge front doors, took the decorative handle and pulled as hard as he could.
Nothing.
"It won't open."
Each person's final memory was different.
They did not remember having arrived.
The mansion was absolutely stunning, though in a rather unpleasant way. There were massive bookshelves running down the walls, stylish staircases bending up towards an upper floor which was hidden in the shade, and a great many hallways vanishing further into the grounds. It seemed less like a house and more like a place that had been frozen in time.
Then, without warning—
Click.
A sharp sound was heard above.
Speakers that were hidden throughout the mansion began to crackle to life.
A cheerful little jingle played, so upbeat it seemed entirely out of place.
A bright and pleasant voice filled the room.
"Good morning everyone! I'm hoping that you all had a good night's sleep."
The whole living room went quiet.
