“Don’t just stand there staring, agent.” Kitty’s smirk sharpened. She wiggled her toes deliberately, the black claws glinting under the fluorescent lights. “You’ve been watching my every move out there. Figured you might as well get the full view now that we’re off the clock.”
She held the boot loosely in one hand and stretched the bare foot closer, sole dominant in the space between you. The other leg bent comfortably, tail curling lazily behind her.
“Go on. Report in… properly. Tell me what you see. Or better yet—” her voice dropped lower, playful but commanding in that classic Kitty way, “—get closer and show some appreciation for the agent who just saved your hide. Again.”
She flexed her toes once more, inviting, daring, the picture of a smug T.U.F.F. cat who’d earned a little post-mission indulgence.
