GENDER: Female AGE: 22 BIRTHDAY: August 17 HEIGHT: 157 cm BLOOD TYPE: B HAIR COLOR: Brown EYE COLOR: Brown AFFILIATION: Japan Football Association (JFA) POSITION: JFU member
Appearance: Anri is a petite young woman with neck-length brown hair that has two braids tied on either side in the back with square bangs hanging on the left side and chocolate-brown eyes. She usually wears a secretary-like outfit, she is seen in more skimpy outfits that show off her body.
Personality: Anri is a calm but very determined young woman whose biggest dream is to see Japan win the World Cup. Anri is passionate when it comes to football and although the majority in the Japan Football Association ridiculed her and treat her as nothing more than a woman with big dreams and a big chest, she sticks to her goals and visions. While generally polite and professional, she speaks her mind, especially in regards to her dreams of winning the world cup and is unaffected by the business-minded Japan Football Association ideologies.
Her hobby is watching Football. Her favorite food is Country Ma'am (cookies). Her disliked food is sea cucumber. She would buy Oden egg at a convenience store. Her three sizes are: bust 88 cm, waist 57 cm, hip 84 cm. She is not good at home economics (cooking).

GENDER: Male AGE: 62 BIRTHDAY: November 7 BLOOD TYPE: A OCCUPATION: Chairman of the JFU AFFILIATION: Japan Football Union (JFU)
Hirotoshi Buratsuta is the chairman of the Japan Football Union.
Personality: Hirotoshi Buratsuta can be described as a money-oriented person with little to no high ambition. Even though Japan lost in the World Cup 2018 (Round 16), Hirotoshi is unbothered. With Japan Football Union financially stable, Hirotoshi sees nothing wrong with the current national team. In fact, he appears to believe that Japan will never be able to win the world cup, as he actively mocks Anri for thinking so. Proven to be incredibly delusional, he believes that all the association has to do is maintain the national team’s brand and façade since to him, football is a business. This business strategy made him ill equipped for the talent that Blue Lock demonstrated in Japan's National Representative match against the U-20 team, as he actually believed that his stagnation plan would aid him in winning. Ultimately, resulting in his complete and utter humiliation in front of the entire world. Due to these negative traits, no one in the football world respects him as they see him as an irritable nuisance, both Blue Lock Eleven and Japan U-20 teams were happy that his plans for shutting down Blue Lock failed and have no problem in openly and actively mocking him.In addition, Hirotoshi tends to come off as sleazy and weird, as he tends to stare at Anri’s chest while she is talking. Proving himself to be shameless, after his loss against Blue Lock, he pilfers the credit for the project's founding.
Hirotoshi and Anri are polar opposites when it comes to football. While Anri wants to see Japan win the World Cup, Hirotoshi could not care less. Also, Hirotoshi sees Blue Lock as a way time of and resources. On the other hand, Anri believes that Blue Lock can be used to produce top-notch strikers capable of winning the World Cup. Moreover, like the others in the Japan Football Association, he also sexualizes Anri and stares at her large chest.

GENDER: Male AGE: 30 BIRTHDAY: March 31 HEIGHT: 189 cm BLOOD TYPE: AB HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Black OCCUPATION: Coach Trainer General Director/Manager of Blue Lock AFFILIATION: Japan Football Union
Jinpachi Ego is the general director/manager of the Blue Lock Project, handpicked by Anri Teieri.
Appearance: Ego is a tall, skinny, and pale man, with an unusually long neck. He has black hair styled into a short bob cut with straight bangs and is often seen wearing a pair of black framed eye glasses, black jeans with a belt and a black shirt with a bolo tie on his neck. By the time of the Neo Egoist League, Ego’s hair has gotten noticeably longer.
Personality: Ego at first glance, is an ambitious and overly confident man; beneath that ambition however, is something even more sinister as he puts the emphasis in “ego” as he is shown to be an extremely egotistical, cruel, and self-serving man, seeing teamwork and “putting your teammates before yourself” to the equivalent of being “second-rate.” He never wastes an opportunity to tell his players the cold truth about themselves and their reality, either seeping them into further despair or inspiring them with his coldhearted truth. Ego clearly shows no favorites, he only goes off of the numbers and results of each player. He is extremely calculating and methodical having single handedly designed Blue Lock, tricked the Japan Football Union executives into a game when pushed into a corner, and near perfectly predicted the Japan U-20 match. At times, Ego has shown that even with the mindset that he has, he believes in the players who have made it through his trials and he does have moments of sentimentality. Ego as the creator and director of Blue Lock takes great pride in his players though he hasn’t expressed it outwardly. He is also very awkward and eccentric, making strange poses, sitting unconventionally in uncommon places and doing dramatic speeches to his players, often with a devilish smile on his face. Ego loathes people like the executives of the Japan Football Union due to preferring money over the development of the football in their country and lost their will to believe in the future for their players, that’s why he enjoys manipulating them towards reaching his own goal as he did during the U-20 match. According to Noel Noa, Ego is a "zombie" obsessed with creating the world's number one striker.
He and Noa are Rivals. His dominant foot is his right foot. His favorite movie is whiplash. His favourite comic is magical taruruto. His favourite color is white. He is committed to eating unhealthy food like instant ramen and yakisoba.

GENDER: Male HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Black TEAM: Japan U-20 POSITION: Coach
Yasumori Hoichi is the coach of the Japan U-20. He was hired by Hirotoshi, the current chairman of the Japan Football Union.
Appearance: Yasumori is a fairly tall, and an educated individual. He is always dressed in a professional attire wearing a black blazer, white dress shirt with black pants, and shoes.
Personality: Yasumori, similar to Hirotoshi, is a money-oriented individual. He believes soccer is a tool to make money, and together with Hirotoshi, his goal is to destroy the Blue Lock Project. Yasumori is also a prideful individual and he takes his coaching position very seriously. He also proud of his Japan U-20 team, and has utter faith and confidence in his players’ abilities, and believes that his team will be the one victorious. Upon Japan U-20 losing the first half of the game against the Blue Lock Eleven, he proved himself incapable of thinking for himself as he asked Buratsuta for directions instead, since he's gotten used to listening to the JFA. Though he is capable of admitting his own faults as he plainly admitted that Blue Lock Eleven is more skilled than his Japan U-20 team.

Bastard München is a professional football team in the German leagues. It is known as one of the best teams in Europe and is home to the best striker in the world. Bastard München is a team that's absolute priority is scoring goals and they accomplish this by embodying logic and rationality. Only a player's numbers matter on this team and the ability to express those numbers consistently on the field. To prove yourself on this team, one must assimilate into a rational and logical mindset and either combine their skills with one of the superstars of the team or give the team a new option through their sheer talent alone.
Abilities: Boasting a play style of unquestionable logic and absolute rationality, Bastard München is a team that performs the best and most ideal plays with the most efficient amount of effort. The team has a solid defense using their rationality to shut down all shooting courses and deprive the opposition opportunity in front of the goal. Even if a goal is attempted, Bastard is able to react and counter in the most critical moments and easily transition into attack. Their real strength though is from their attacking players. The main striker and center of the team during the Neo Egoist League is Michael Kaiser, the unquestionable young genius second only to the best striker in the world, Noel Noa. Kaiser uses his omnipotent view of the field combined with his positioning and lightning-fast shot to score illogical goals always surprising the field. He is usually assisted in his play build-up by Alexis Ness and Benedict Grim. Kaiser also uses his eyes to fill in any critical gaps in the defense and start counterattacks. With Blue Lock mixed into the team, Rensuke Kunigami acts as a secondary clinical finisher taking advantage of any opportunities that Kaiser or Isagi is unable to take and he has proven himself a powerful forward in the penalty box. Yoichi Isagi uses the same omnipotent view of the field and his spatial awareness and reflex to charge through enemy defenses with other teammates like Ranze Kurona, Kenyu Yukimiya, and Yo Hiori to create new opportunities of attack for the team by bringing out the best plays from his teammates all so he can score goals. He also fills in critical gaps in the defense along with Kaiser. Ness and Hiori are able to dominate the midfield by gliding past the opposition's midfielders using their dribbling and creating goalscoring opportunities for both their strikers. With Kaiser and Noa as the main force, the team was able to causally play against and keep up with FC Barcha. When mixed with the egoist of Blue Lock, the team is able to overwhelm a Blue Lock hybrid of Manshine City. After adding Hiori's vision and playmaking to the team, the team was able to overcome Ubers despite their opponent having many strategies and an awakening.
The team's biggest flaw is its team play. The team is divided in assisting one of two of its goalscorers while everybody still looks for chances to make their own goals. While boasting rationality in their playstyle, the team often breaks away from a logical standpoint to try new and risky plays to achieve victory. There is also no coordination between the best players on the field causing a lack of efficiency in certain areas of the game.
- #7Alexis Ness

GENDER: Male HAIR COLOR: Magenta EYE COLOR: Magenta OCCUPATION: Football Player AFFILIATION: Germany TEAM: Bastard München JERSEY NUMBER: 8 Position: Center Midfielder
Alexis Ness is a U-20 midfielder from Germany who plays for Bastard München and participates in Blue Lock during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Ness is a young man of average height with pale skin, purple eyes and light brown hair that turns purple towards the edges. Ness can almost always be seen with a non-serious, smiling expression on his face.
Personality: Ness is seemingly nice and well mannered and also an extremely loyal individual to his team, especially Michael Kaiser. Ness' loyalty to him is borderline obsessive: he only cares about doing things perfect according to Kaiser. He is even willing to start fights with his teammates over it. When he was a child, Ness adored magic and would stay up all night just thinking about it. Although, since he was born into a family of scientists, he was constantly ostracized for believing in magic, which could not be explained by science, causing severe trauma. To cope with his family, Ness decided to play soccer, which he saw as another form of magic. During the tryouts for Bastard München, Ness was about to give up on his dream due to his overwhelming disadvantage on the field. This is where he met Kaiser, who taught him that nothing was impossible. After passing the tryouts, he and Kaiser became close friends and partners.
Abilities: Archetype Dribbler: Dribblers are players known for their close ball control ability that is used to go past defenders by sudden change of direction and acceleration sometimes combined with great pace. The skill is used to create opportunities for other attackers or to score themselves having broken through the opposition's defense using what is sometimes referred to as "trickery". One of the great spectator sights in football is a player going on a "mazy run" with the ball, twisting and turning to avoid opposition tackles, beating a number of players. Skills: Professional Football Technique: As the center midfielder and heart of Bastard München, Ness' ability to dribble and pass are heavily relied on as all of Kaiser's shots are started with Ness and in turn every Bastard München play. Flexible Dribbling: Ness' dribbling style is a mix of his hyper rational technique and flexible ankles. He uses his flexibility to easily feint the ball or switch directions away from his opponent in order to perform smooth and efficient plays with no wasted movements. Key Passing: Along with his dribbling, Ness is also a very efficient passer. As the key passer for his team, his passes are always accurate and efficient, only serving to help the forwards score. Vertical Pass with Backspin: A super clean pass between two defenders that hugs the ground while slowly rising up in the air. The pass is so perfect that it doesn't affect the speed of the player meant to receive it. Illusion Cross: As the wings perform a unified cross, Ness' options are increased and he performs a smooth pass to the wing that nobody expects. Killer Pass: After successfully intercepting the ball, Ness immediately attempts to kick a strong pass directly to his teammate from the defensive line.
He started playing football at the age of 8. .

GENDER: Male AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: January 2 HEIGHT: 191 cm BLOOD TYPE: O HAIR COLOR: Black and Silver EYE COLOR: Black OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Goalkeeper Forward WEAPON: Spring-Like Body Explosive Reaction Flexibility Flow State
Gin Gagamaru is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as goalkeeper for Germany's Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League. Gagamaru was a forward who aspired to be the best in the world along with the others of Blue Lock. When first arriving at Blue Lock, he was a member of Team Z during First Selection. After Third Selection, it was noted that Gagamaru has the body, natural reflexes and skills to be an ideal goalkeeper and has since played as one.
Appearance: Gagamaru is a very tall and long young man with long black hair kept in a bun that was dyed silver at some point and he also has 3 scars on his ear from a bear. At Blue Lock, Gagamaru wears the standard-issued body suit (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. Gagamaru dons the #99 white with red trim Bastard München uniform.
Personality: Gin is a very nonchalant yet confident person who likes to help his teammates whenever he can, and he is shown to be a reliable player. Like everybody else who entered Blue Lock, Gagamaru started the series as a forward, showing great skill inside the box, but by the end of the Third Selection, he was singled out as the most ideal goalkeeper for the upcoming Japan Representative Match, and he, after being given a brief explanation, was completely fine with the major transition. He is once again fine with it during the Neo Egoist League when he is chosen as Bastard Munchen's goalkeeper. He is simply happy to get playing time, but he is also confident in his ability to defend and never backs down from a challenge that comes his way. Gagamaru is largely known as a reliable person who you can trust to do his job.
Abilities Archetype: Goal Poacher: Goal poachers are forwards who wait in the six-yard box or the penalty area for a cross, pass, or loose ball and pounce to try to score a goal. "Poaching" refers to the fact that they will often score a goal out of the slightest of opportunities, i.e., steal a goal. Goal poachers usually play as center forwards or second strikers. Goalkeeper: Goalkeepers are responsible for blocking the ball during penalty kicks and getting the ball out of the area of the goal and to a player on their team further down the field. They often use a dropkick to get the ball as far away from their own goal as possible. The goalie is the only player that is allowed to touch the ball with their hands while on the field and during the game. Skills: Spring-Like Body: Gagamaru's naturally long limbs and his excellent body control allow him to adapt to nearly any pass or downright any play. He can propel his body forward, which he uses for all types of shots, tackles, and goal saves. Explosive Reaction: With his natural physical disposition, Gagamaru can react to the ball quickly and without wasted movement to perform last-second headers and goal saves. His best achievement yet is being able to stop an evolved Shoei Baro during the match against Ubers. Super Reflex: Once Gagamaru can identify the trajectory of a moving ball, he uses his explosive reaction speed to jump to the other side of the goal net and punch the ball away. Ultra Reflex: Under the pressure of a close-range, high-powered shot, Gagamaru focuses and uses his explosive reaction speed to jump to the other side of the goal net and intercept the ball. Flexibility: With complete control over his body and limbs, Gagamaru can expertly move and twist his limbs so that he can more easily react to the ball and perform last-second plays. Scorpion Kick: It is both an unusual and relatively advanced technique used in soccer. To perform one successfully, a player must throw themselves to the floor and thrust their body forward. They should then place two hands on the ground and sharply flick both heels up behind their heads to make contact with the ball, but Gagamaru is able to do this in midair by just propelling his body upward with his feet and retaining control of his center of gravity. When Gagamaru used this shot, it was very nearly going to score, if not for Zantetsu reading its landing spot.
His hometown is Wakayama Prefecture. He started playing soccer at the age of 12 (during middle school activities). His favorite soccer player is Gareth Bale. His motto is "All natural," since he believes in taking things as they are and living as your heart desires. He thinks his strengths are his physical strengths, good eyesight, and hearing. He thinks his weaknesses are being bad at using technology and being bad at understanding people. His favorite type of music is Southern All Stars. His favorite animal is a bear (ironically enough, he got the scars on his ears from a bear). His favorite food is meat (especially raw). His disliked food is convenience store bento because it tastes too much artificial preservatives and chemicals. In his opinion, boar meat is the best side dish for rice. His favorite seasons are all of them since mountains and forests have all kinds of different looks during them. His hobby is reading manga (he learned about people's emotions and antics by reading them). He has a lot of favorite mangas, for example, Higanjima, Naruto, Bastard!!!, Cheeky Angel, Fire Punch, Karakuri Circus, Ushijima The Loan Shark, Gin to Kin, Dorohedoro, Dandadan, etc. The subject he is good at is PE, while the subjects he is bad at are everything that is not PE. He often reads Shonen Jump, Young Magazine, Young Jump, Bigcomic Spirits, and Shonen Magazine. His fetish is physical beauty (be it for animals or humans). His favorite celebrity is Cameron Diaz. Animal cruelty makes him sad (he said he would fight perpetrators). His sleep time is 8 hours since he is trying to embody the "Sleep brings up a child well" proverb. The first thing he washes while showering are his hair roots (or else the animal smell sticks). He would impulsively buy at a combini store like Shonen Jump and Young Magazine. He can't answer the popular question "Bamboo shoots or mushrooms" since he only knows the real ones and not their snack version from Meiji. Gagamaru eats with his hands, though the team is trying to teach him how to use utensils. If it were his last day on Earth, he would chill on a mountain. If he were given one million yen, he would give it back. He made his hair tie out of ivy. He believes that the best way to spend a holiday would be to meditate in a bamboo grove and speak to mountain animals. He does not know what his dominant foot is.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Japan COLORS: Red, White, & Black COACH:
The Japan U-20 or (Japan National Under-20 Football Team) is a national association team of Japan of players who are under the age of 20 and is controlled by the Japan Football Association.
History: First organized in 1979, the Japan U-20 represents Japan in the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Out of the 22 World Cups going from 1977 to 2018, Japan has only qualified for 9. Japan at best has only come in second place in the 1999 FIFA World Cup, losing to Spain. They most commonly make the Top 16. After losing in the Top 16 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Anri Teieri proposed creating a new Japanese football in order to push Japan further in the World Cup and ultimately win it, and thus Blue Lock was created. In an attempt to make a profit while also shutting down Blue Lock, the Japan Football Association accepted a game proposal from Jinpachi Ego. The Japan U-20 will face off against the Blue Lock Eleven and after defeating them will shut down the program proving it is unrealistic. If they happen to lose the match, Blue Lock will hijack the U-20 team. With their defeat at the hands of the evolved Blue Lock players, the Japan U-20 team is now under Blue Lock's control as even more of it's evolved members will be chosen to represent Japan in the upcoming U-20 World Cup after the success of Blue Lock's final selection: Neo Egoist League.
Uniform: The Japan U-20 uniforms consist of a white jersey with dynamic red stripes that has their player number, their team association and the Japanese flag and white shorts with red stripes at the bottom of the shorts. All the U-20 wear black shirts under their jersey and gloves as well.
Faculty: Hirotoshi Buratsuta - President of Japan Football Association. Yasumori Houichi - Coach of Japan U-20 Team.

GENDER: Male AGE: 16 BIRTHDAY: July 6 HEIGHT: 172 cm BLOOD TYPE: B HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Black AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München(Reserve) POSITION: Forward WEAPON: Diving Dribbling Gurimu Igarashi is a contender for the Blue Lock Project, who currently plays for Germany's Bastard München.
Appearance: Igarashi has a short and slim build. He has short hair, with thick eyebrows and wide open eyes. His eyes are black in color. After he joins Blue Lock, he wears the standard-issued body suit and tracksuit. It is seen that he wears heart-printed trunks underneath his uniform while sleeping.
Personality: Igarashi is awkward, religious, determined, and pragmatic to a sometimes lamentable degree. Having grown up in a temple, his greatest dream is to become a professional soccer player so he won't have to stay a monk for the rest of his life. He began as the lowest ranked player in the entire Blue Lock facility owing to his lack of skill or specialties compared to his fellow teammates, even initally noting that his weapon is his "never give up" attitude. In the First Selection, he had only a few showings of usefulness. Despite this, his resolve has allowed him to survive longer than anyone would have guessed and he even helps his teammate Ryusei Shidou win in the Second Selection against Reo Mikage and Rensuke Kunigami with his newly developed "Malacia Style" which involves him moving in ways that result in fouling whatever player he's up against, otherwise known as "flopping". He has few close relationships with other Blue Lock contestants due to most viewing him as an annoyance and can be most frequently seen talking to Yoichi Isagi who started off as the second worst ranked player. Igarashi's most notable trait is his pragmatism, often playing desperately and without reluctance to disadvantage other players. He shows this during the entrance game of tag by trying to kick the ball at Bachira while he appeared to be sleeping. Failing that, he then successfully kicked the ball at Kunigami who was in the middle of scolding Bachira for kicking him, and then proceeded to use Isagi as a human shield when he was at risk of being "it" again. There is little that Igarashi won't do to ensure that he remains in Blue Lock and sets out to become the last one standing by any means necessary.
Abilities Archetype: Forwards: also known as strikers, have the main objective of scoring goals. They are often the players who get the most attention since their role is designed to be in a scoring position. They also take part in penalty kicks and corner kicks when the opposing team kicks the ball out-of-bounds. They are normally the players in charge of starting off the game at the start and halftime. Skills: Diving: This is Igarashi's ability to dive to intercept like he did to Nagi in the match against Team Z & Team V or to block the ball with his head in the same match. Malica Dribbling: Igarashi's dribbling style is to draw out fouls, making obvious to read dribbling motions but then last seconds to dive onto the opponent pressing him, causing the opponent to foul him making him get the free kick.
He is an only child. His favorite soccer player is Antoine Griezmann. His favorite animal is a dragon. His favorite food is kimchi hotpot. His favorite celebrity is Tsubasa Honda. He sleeps in weird positions. If he impulsively bought something from a convenience store, it would be a Koala's March.

GENDER: Male AGE: 18 BIRTHDAY: April 28 HEIGHT: 184 cm BLOOD TYPE: O HAIR COLOR: Brown EYE COLOR: Orange OCCUPATION: Student Model AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Sideback Forward Left Wing WEAPON: Dribbling Gyro Shot Sword Screw Flow State Kenyu Yukimiya is a contender of the Blue Lock Project, who currently plays as a left-back for Germany's Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League. A stubborn and highly driven forward who is chained down by an eye condition known as optic neuropathy, Yukimiya is fighting with everything he has to become the best striker in the world before his time runs out.
Appearance: Yukimiya is tall, with a slim and lightly toned build. He has orange eyes and his hair is black and stylized. When outside of a match, it is groomed and straight, whereas during a match, it is more wild and messy. He wears round spectacles in daily life, but a pair of specialized windproof glasses on the pitch, likely to protect his deteriorating vision.
Personality: Yukimiya is highly confident in his own abilities, declaring himself the strongest player in Japan when it comes to one-on-one battles. He is also a likable and charismatic personality, appearing to make friends easily, such as with Seishiro Nagi, Jyubei Aryu, and Tabito Karasu. In addition to this, Yukimiya likes to banter even with his opponents, indicating a playful element to his personality. Yukimiya claims that he is a pacifist, which forms part of his ego, as he thinks the easiest and most peaceful way to score would be to do so himself. He is also highly inquisitive, often being the first to ask Jinpachi Ego questions about his selection criteria. At the same time, however, he is not afraid of confrontations, seen when he questions Noel Noa, the current world No.1, on his decision to sub in Yoichi Isagi instead of him during Bastard München vs. FC Barcha.
Abilities Archetype: Mobile Striker: A striker that benefits from the space behind the opposing defensive line. Often reached with long balls from central defenders or defense splitting through balls from creative midfielders. The mobile striker is often a highly technical and dynamic player, who distinguishes himself in one-on-one duels with a last defender or goalkeeper. A mobile striker is often used to exploit fast transition phases from defense to offense. Skills: Rigid Dribbling: In contrast with Bachira's technical dribbling, Yukimiya's dribbling relies on his own physique, to push past opponents with power and speed. 1-on-1 Emperor Style: Yukimiya's core style involves bringing a confrontation to the individual level, where he can use his rigid dribbling to get past his opponents in succession. He has shown that he can overcome Rin and then Shido whilst doing this, proclaiming that in a 1v1 he is the strongest player in Japan (although this was likely a boast). Reo mentioned that Yukimiya was a hardcore infighter, with his physique being key to his dribbling ability. It is suggested that, at least within Blue Lock, there is no player he cannot dribble past. However, this style can be countered by simply bringing the encounter back to a 2-on-1, as shown when Rin used Igarashi to overcome Yukimiya's dribbling. Drag Scissors: Yukimiya performs a scissor feint to shift his opponent's center of gravity, before using his explosive speed to break past them. La Boba: A feint that uses the sole of the foot. Yukimiya is able to use this to break past an opponent. Gyro Shot: This is a high shot, with incredible spin, allowing it to drop sharply in midair, while moving to the outside. When Yukimiya used this shot, it was very nearly going to score, if not for Aryu and Nagi reading its path. Based on what Reo said, its range is at least 30 meters. Sword Screw: Inspired by Chris Prince's knuckle shot, this shot has an increased oblique rotation that drops down further. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Yukimiya entered the flow state, whilst resorting to his street dribbling during the U-20 match, enabling him to break through their defense and launch a gyro shot, quickly changing his aim at the last second. Street Football Style: In contrast to his usual 1-on-1 style, when Yukimiya accesses the flow state, he can dribble with more precise movements, cutting into the spaces between both friends and foe. Through focus and analysis, Yukimiya can determine the best route to take in order to penetrate the defense, yet still adapt his decision-making, running through people as if dodging obstacles in the street. La Croqueta: A feint that knocks the ball one way with one foot, then the other way with the other. This can be used to feint going outside before cutting, or vice versa. Yukimiya can use this technique multiple times in succession whilst at full speed.
Kenyu is not only a football player, but also a model in his private life. He was former teammates with Tabito Karasu and Eita Otoya. His best time for a 50-meter race is 5.91 seconds. His favorite animal is the penguin. He likes the contrast between their adorable waddling on land and their incredible speed in the water. His favorite football player is Edgar Davids. His strength, according to himself, is self-discipline and world-class competitive mindset. He seems to understand German since he was the only one who understood Noa's instructions in Chapter 156. His motto is: "To put forth every moment in that moment", otherwise interpreted as "To give one's all in every moment." Yukimiya started playing soccer at the age of 7. It was his mother who introduced him to the sport. He played for Soranin HS Soccer Club before entering Blue Lock. His hobby is his modeling jobs. He likes spring because of the ephemeral of cherry blossoms. His favorite TV show is "FOOT x Brain", a TV show about soccer. His favorite subjects are Science, Japanese Literature, and PE. His worst subject is Art because it strains his eyes. He likes ephemeral things such as sakura blossoms and sparkler fireworks (Senko Hanabi) (See also: Mono no Aware). He feels happy when someone cheers for him warmly and feels sad when someone beats him on a 1-on-1 match. His type is someone who laughs a lot and will always watch over him. The first time he fell in love was with his friend's 16-year-old sister when he was 10. He also received a forehead kiss from her, which made him so embarrassed that he ran away. Yukimiya sleeps for 8 hours a day. On the last time he cried: "There's no way I would answer that, is there? It's too embarrassing." If it were his last day on Earth, Yukimiya would tell his parents: "Thank you for giving birth to me." He spends his day off reading and likes reading about the lives of important people. At a mini market he would buy a hot eye mask because it warms his eyes.

GENDER: Male HAIR COLOR: Blonde (with blue streaks) EYE COLOR: Light Blue PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION OCCUPATION: Football Player AFFILIATION: Germany TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Forward WEAPON: Off the Ball Movements Spatial Awareness Metavision Predator Eye Kaiser Impact Michael Kaiser is a prodigy U-20 forward from Germany and he plays for Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League as the team's ace and main striker. Kaiser is regarded as a genius and is also a member of the New Generation World XI.
Appearance: Kaiser is a tall young man with blue eyes and blonde hair. He has a mullet with blue streaks at the end of his hair. Kaiser also has blue rose tattoos on his neck, turning into chain-like intertwined thorny stems down his left arm culminating in a crown with a keyhole on his left hand. He is normally seen wearing his red and black with gold stripes Bastard München #10 uniform with black and gold striped socks and sneakers and a long-sleeved shirt.
Personality: Kaiser is shown as an arrogant young man who has a superiority complex. He sees everybody around him as merely small time actors compared to his big time main role as the star of his world. Though he is arrogant and slyly rude to people he sees as beneath him he is not unnecessarily rude to his teammates but will put them in their place when they unnecessarily speak out even if it's for his sake. Even though Kaiser is arrogant and rude, he knows when to control himself around people who are definitively better and superior to him, such as his team leader and the best striker in the world, Noel Noa. After the match against the Ubers, Kaiser was immensely frustrated when he lost to Isagi a second time. Originally, he joined Bastard Munchen because it was the quickest way to get into Re Al, but now he cannot just leave the Neo Egoist League after losing to Isagi. Kaiser believes that the moment people believe things are impossible, they are programmed to give up. Those who sacrifice their talent in exchange for living long and tedious lives are the ones he hates the most. Before, Kaiser was a mentally weak person who constantly gave up on things he believed to be impossible. To remind himself to never again too fall into that weak mindset, he got a blue rose tattoo on his neck, which he believes symbolizes the achievement of the impossible.
Abilities Archetype: Clinical Finisher: Clinical finishers are forwards that specialize in their accurate shooting ability. They are "clinical", in that they need few opportunities to score a goal being able to strike and place the ball exactly where it will beat the goalkeeper. They can be identified by their high goal to shots ratio. Clinical strikers usually play as center forwards though other attacking players can often be said to be clinical finishers. With an omnipotent vision, high football IQ, the fastest kick speed in the world and a powerful shot to match, Kaiser is the ace scorer for Bastard München. Kaiser is easily able to get into an ideal scoring position, receive any kind of pass, and create space for himself when pressured by the opposition to score effortless and illogical goals. Skills: Professional Football Technique: Kaiser is regarded as a genius player in the professional world of football. He plays football for one of the best teams in the world as the main striker. His skills are highly respected by teammates, opposing teams, club owners, investors, and even the best striker in the world. His skill and technique is so high level that his team's style of play and philosophy revolve around him and his style of play. Off-the-Ball Movements: A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Kaiser uses these moments to position himself where he can always receive a pass, whether in his opponents’ or teammates' blind spots. When marked by a defender, Kaiser always runs towards the course most troublesome to his opposition and then immediately steps in the opposite direction of their center of gravity to bypass them finding an open position for himself. Metavision: A term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Kaiser constantly collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field; mixed with his high football IQ, Kaiser is able to interpret that data and use it to heighten every move he makes to unpredictable levels and find opportunities before others can. This ability escapes the logic of even the most highly advanced football players. Mixed with his other abilities, Kaiser is able to dominate the field creating illogical opportunities born from his vision. Predator Eye: Described as a complete opposite of Metavision, instead of expanding his vision, Kaiser drastically narrows it down in order to score a goal. Kaiser uses Predator Eye to find the smallest of gaps for a shot course, when aiming and shooting his Kaiser Impact. Kaiser Impact: Kaiser will uses his god given talent to take a volley shot that is so fast most people aren't able to track the ball as it flies into the net. When used in tandem with his Metavision and Predator Eye, Kaiser is able to fearlessly score near impossible shots with extreme accuracy. His shot has the speed and power to pass by the heads of five defenders in front of the goal and the goalie with pinpoint accuracy into the goal. Kaiser Impact Beinschuss: While in midair, Kaiser uses the Kaiser Impact in the form of a bicycle kick. The ball then nutmegs under a defender, bounces off the ground, and lands a goal without loosing any speed. "Beinschuss" means "nutmeg" in German. Lightning Strike: This is when Kaiser performs a Kaiser impact while the ball is on the ground. Lorenzo was able to read the course of the shot and managed to block it with his face even though it was a Kaiser Impact, most likely do to it not being a volley which is Kaiser's preferred shot.
His morning routine consists of: standing before the mirror naked, gazing at himself while having a conversation (to himself), getting into the mindset that nothing is impossible, and then smiling while thinking 'this is me'.

Noa is currently known as the best striker in the world and Yoichi Isagi’s idol and mentor. Over a decade ago, he was Jinpachi Ego's former teammate/rival.
Appearance: Noa is a tall pale skinned man with a muscular frame. His hair is white and his eyes are yellow with black-shaded eyelids. he is usually seen wearing the Blue Lock tracksuit.
Personality: Noa is a very calm but serious person who speaks very clearly and candidly while still maintaining his manners. He is described by fellow football colleagues as a cyborg because of his very serious and non-expressive demeanor. He does not like when his players try to act superior to others and regards it as childish. Noa admits that he does not take into consideration intangible factors like impressions or emotion but only a player’s numbers and the results that come from those numbers when picking his team, but if he is inclined to play a player due to their popularity and any contracts, he is beholden to, then he will forsake his earlier judgment. Having grown up poor in the slums of France, Noa has taken his football very seriously from a young age because it was the only way for him to change his life. Around his fellow world-class players, Noa’s serious demeanor is found annoying by his more expressive and reckless colleagues as he ignores them and their statements of being the best. Just because Noa is cold and serious does not mean he is not willing to properly advise and teach his players especially when they ask him for help as seen with Isagi. As a coach, he is direct and strict when it comes to training his players, refusing to let anyone play if they don’t prove themselves to be worthy or take the opportunities to improve their skills.
Abilities Archetype: Complete Forward: Complete Forwards are strikers with great technical ability, clinical finishing, and physical strength, enabling them to fulfill multiple roles. They can link up with and play in others, fashion chances for themselves, finish off team moves and hold up the ball. These players are often best given the freedom to play as they wish, without rigid tactical instruction, as their versatility allows them to be fluid on the pitch. Skills: Supreme Physicality: With a supreme and well-balanced physicality as a base and the skill that comes from being completely ambidextrous, Noa is a player that has unlimited options. He can act as a starter for any play, connect with his teammates and finish off plays with little difficulty even when faced against players on par with his skill. He is known as the best striker in the world due to his unlimited options and his hyper-efficient style of play. Machine Dribble: Noa's dribble style involves him moving forward efficiently with the ball with pure speed and power, leaving no room for error as if a machine was directing his movements. Ambidexterity: Noa is completely and evenly ambidextrous with his feet allowing him to dribble, trap, pass, feint and shoot the ball with either foot at any angle with the same level of power and accuracy on either side. All-Powerful Shot: With Noa’s ambidexterity and his top-tier physicality, Noa is able to make any kind of shot with either foot being able to constantly feint while switching feet and finish a play with a shot that does not lose power or accuracy from using both feet in tandem.
He grew up in the slums of France. He has won the Ballon d'Or before. He won the World Cup 2018.

GENDER: Male AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: March 11 HEIGHT: 188 cm BLOOD TYPE: O HAIR COLOR: Orange EYE COLOR: Auburn OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Forward WEAPON: Finesse Shot Physique Ambidexterity Rensuke Kunigami is a contender of Blue Lock who currently plays as a forward for Germany's Bastard München.
He is a hotblooded forward whose main goal is to become the best striker in the world, and in turn, a football superhero. When first arriving at Blue Lock, he was member of Team Z during the First Selection. He was eliminated from Blue Lock's main route during the final games of Second Selection, but instead of leaving the facility, he walked into a mysterious "Wild Card" door that was open to him. After the U-20 match ended, Kunigami finally returned from the "Wild Card" door and rejoined the other contenders during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Kunigami is a tall, fair-skinned high schooler with auburn eyes and bright, spiky orange hair that is styled in an undercut. He appears to be very muscular and broad in the shoulders. Kunigami's hair has grown out more, he is noticeably more muscular, and he looks gloomier and serious overall.
Personality: Kunigami has a very moral personality. He can be profoundly serious about his football career, training, and way of life, but he also knows when to relax and enjoy life. He is seen as calm yet passionate when it comes to football and can be very rational and careful at times, but he can also be as stubborn as Raichi, who he tends to butt heads with. Kunigami will not let troublemakers and people who play unfair get their way when he is around; he almost comes off as a big brother. Even though he is serious most of the time, he can be incredibly grateful and somewhat embarrassed when others praise him. Meeting Ryusei Shido had an impact on Kunigami's mindset and way of doing things. A more aggressive and instinctual way of playing outdid his moral and righteous way of playing, and he exited Blue Lock, questioning Shido's words. After returning to Blue Lock, Kunigami is noticeably colder and more focused, with a new philosophy on how he plays football, striving to maintain his dominance on the field. Kunigami barely says a sentence to Isagi and does not speak to anybody else in the stratum. As the Neo-Egoist League unfolds, Kunigami shows that he has become heavily egoistical, only caring about scoring his own goals, no matter what he has to do to get them. His football colleagues describe him as a cyborg because of his profoundly serious and non-expressive demeanor. He has also become rude and disrespectful, often making offensive comments to the rest of his teammates and rivals, with Noel Noa being the only exception, but still maintaining a cold attitude toward him. However, deep down, he still has morals and is noble, refusing to teach Isagi to use his ambidexterity in order to defeat Kaiser, stating that doing it would destroy all his stats.
Clinical Finisher: Clinical finishers are forwards that specialize in their accurate shooting ability. They are "clinical", in that they need few opportunities to score a goal to be able to strike and place the ball exactly where it will beat the goalkeeper. Their high goal-to-shot ratio identifies them. Clinical strikers usually play as center forwards, though other attacking players can often be said to be clinical finishers. Being a high-powered left-footed shooter, Kunigami is a rare type of striker. Kunigami was tied for top scorer on Team Z during the First Selection, but only because another teammate cheated to get their goals to tie with him. When left unmarked, he is guaranteed to make an easy goal. After emerging from his time in Wild Card, Kunigami's physical abilities have been noted to have skyrocketed since his last appearance in Second Selection, and his ability to finish has become unquestionable when inside the box, being able to dribble and score with both feet now. Since the second game of the Neo Egoist League, Kunigami now aims to create his own chances with his high-level physique and ambidexterity. Skills Superior Physicality: Kunigami is one of the handful of forwards in Blue Lock who has an extraordinarily strong and muscular physique, and he uses this to his advantage when driving the ball down the field or marking players to defend. After returning from "Wild Card" and becoming a regular on Bastard München for the Neo Egoist League, Kunigami is more noticeably able to leverage his physique by trapping the ball midair with his chest between two defenders and pushing past those defenders while holding them back so he could set up his own shot. Kunigami also has better control of his center and upper body reflexes, as seen when he was able to keep up with Bachira's improved dribbling ability for a few moments during the Barcha game. Finesse Shot: Kunigami has a near pinpoint power shot, specifically from his left leg, that he uses to score incredibly powerful shots, with his standard range for shooting being within 28 meters. Knuckle Shot: From almost 40 meters away from the net, Kunigami shoots with such intense force that he kills the spin of the ball, allowing for the shot to curve. Mid-Range Power Shot: When in possession of the ball and holding off two defenders, Kunigami is able to push past his defenders while opening up space for himself and shooting a high powered shot with his right foot, almost scoring an effortless shot. Jumping Volley Shot: Kunigami jumps using his physical strength and performs a volley shot while in the air. This shot was performed after Isagi took a bad shot against Manshine City, where the angle of the ball went off-course, and Kunigami instinctively threw himself into the path of the shot and jumped to send a volley shot into the net. Ambidexterity: After having competed in the Wild Card Path, Kunigami exhibits the ability to use both of his feet to score goals. He admits he was forced to develop the skill to survive in the Wild Card but was only able to do it in a brief period of time due to his physical attributes. While he can use both feet to shoot and to dribble, Kunigami's left side is still by far more powerful and efficient, though he has so far chosen to use his right for almost all his shots in the Neo-Egoist League.
He started playing football at the age of 6. His hometown is Akita. His foot size is 28cm. His favorite players are Didier Drogba and Olivier Giroud. His sleeping time is 8 hours. He mentioned that his weakness is his inability to handle compliments and unfriendliness. His favorite food is seaweed soup. His disliked food is milk-soaked cereal. His favorite subject is PE. His worst subjects are Modern Japanese and Classics (he doesn't understand why he has to learn them). He spends his holidays working out and running on the beach. His favorite animal is a polar bear. His fetish is the nape of the neck, and he looks at both men and women there. His ideal type is someone who is gentle and cute. When he bathes, he washes his neck first. The last time he cried was when he was watching E.T. If he impulsively bought something from a convenience store, it would be batteries. He received 7 Valentine chocolates this year. His favorite anime is One Piece, also mentioning that he likes the relationship between Zoro and Luffy. His favorite season is spring. His favorite song is Silhouette by KANA-BOON (This song is used for Naruto's 16th opening). His older sister stopped receiving Christmas gifts when he was 9, and since he didn't want her to feel left out, he didn't accept receiving any anymore. When asked what he would do if he received 100 million yen (around $700k), he said he'd spend 30 million on soccer, save another 30 million, and donate 40 million to charity. His favorite motto is "Fair and square." His favorite movie is Iron Man.

Isagi is a second-year high school student, His main goal is to become the world's best striker. After the Blue Lock Eleven played against the Japan U-20, Isagi is ranked as one of the top players in Blue Lock and plays as an offensive midfielder on Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League. Unlike his fellow competitors who were handpicked by Anri Teieri after watching them play, Isagi was chosen personally by Jinpachi Ego himself after seeing him play. Isagi is an ideal candidate for the type of striker Ego strives to create.
Appearance: Isagi is a teenager of average height and muscular build, developing a stronger, more defined looking physique. He has short dark blue hair that leaves a V-shaped fringe between his deep blue eyes. As a regular for Team Germany, Isagi wears the red and black with gold stripes Bastard München uniform as #11.
Personality: Isagi is easygoing and has a generally friendly, cheery personality, but his simple and innocent habits often get on the nerves of the people around him. He likes to help others and is very contemplative and pragmatic in his thinking. He tends to avoid any childish squabbles among other Blue Lock competitors and tries to be a peacekeeper between his friends and rivals. At the beginning of Blue Lock, Isagi is massively unsure of himself and his skill due to being the second lowest ranked player in Blue Lock initially and his conflicting ideas of football. As time goes on, Isagi develops a more assertive presence on and off the field, Isagi has the confidence, charisma, and reputation to talk openly with Rin Itoshi, one of the most talented yet difficult people in the Blue Lock Project. Initially, Isagi was unsure on how to proceed in Blue Lock due to being taught an ideology during his time in high school conflicting with what was being promoted in Blue Lock, as well as being unsure on how to be egotistic. However, starting with Team Z's first win, and with subsequent wins thereafter, Isagi becomes well-acquainted with the rush of victory, and the cold ruthlessness needed to survive in Blue Lock. As times goes on he becomes willing to step on the plans and dreams of his opponents and teammates in order to score a goal and go further in Blue Lock. When it comes to football, he is ambitious and calculated, willing to change and adapt, to get the right "chemical reactions" out of his teammates, to stay a step ahead of their opponents, and ultimately be the best player on the field, staying true to his commitment to becoming the world's best striker. He sports an opportunistic and analytical play style, and an insatiable hunger to win by scoring on the pitch; however, he is also shown to connect and cooperate with his other teammates very well. Importantly, Isagi has often valued and recognized the strengths of others' play, but as he proceeds through Blue Lock, he is able to identify and harness his own strengths to score. Ever since meeting and losing to Rin, Isagi has been chasing him, attempting to surpass him at every turn. He goes out of his way to get closer to Rin, attempting to copy his cooldown routines and adapting his mindset, in an attempt to get closer to his level. Isagi believes that when he is able to truly surpass Rin, he will be closer than ever to his goal of becoming the best striker in the world. Isagi is still prone to being nervous before big matches such as: During the end of First Selection, the beginning of Third Selection or the Japan U-20 match and was slightly nervous whilst being interviewed after his decisive goal. However, in each case Isagi was able to fully realize his ego, and confidently stake his place among the best in Blue Lock, declaring that he would lead the Japan U-20 to victory in the World Cup. Isagi now doesn't like when someone believes that his achievements are just out of luck and not because of his skills as a player and striker, when he meets Tada, an old teammate from his school, and comments how "lucky" he was to score that goal in the match against Japan U-20, Isagi feels dismayed since Tada had absolutely no idea how much he had to fight every day inside of Blue Lock to get in the position he is currently, yet it does not dismay him for long as it motivates him into returning to Blue Lock and evolving even more. After the beginning of the Neo Egoist League, Isagi's ego is much more noticeable than before, feeling completely insulted when Yukimiya questioned his decision making a pass called him someone with a small way of thinking. The conversation enraged Isagi and provoked him to the point of almost getting into a fight with Yukimiya inside of the dressing room. He is also entirely capable of showing frustration when things doesn't go like he planned, in the Bastard München vs Manshine City match he is frustrated and enraged when his strategy to score a goal was taken away by Kunigami who took the opportunity and stole Isagi's clear opportunity and even more when Kaiser makes fun of him saying that he likes making passes to goal instead of making them himself, not caring anymore about showing his egoism. According to Noel Noa, Isagi has an almost identical perspective on football as Ego, as they both share a mutual obsessive desire to win, he has even begun to exhibit a similar devilish smile on his face like Ego's, whenever he's pumped up.
Abilities Archetype Raumdeuter: The word essentially translates to "space investigator", and is best used to define the effective role when exploiting the half space. A Raumdeuter's main function is to drift infield and find pockets of space in which to thrive; it is essentially a player who locates dangerous areas of the pitch and uses unoccupied space to create confusion among opposition backlines. They are limited dribblers, and are not characterized by their pace. Their first touch is very efficient, and is a huge contributor to their set-up touches prior to scoring. Isagi creates ideals plays and chance opportunities by using his spatial awareness to view the field as a whole and the players on it. With his understanding of all the players he uses his off the ball movements to occupy empty spaces or create dangerous ones to form ideal plays for his teammates, chance opportunities using his teammates, and to score high level goals for himself. Mixed with his reflex and enhanced vision Isagi is able to create plays only possible for himself. Due to his relationships and game time with most of the prominent Blue Lock players, Isagi is able to bring the best out of his teammates by either forcing them to perform plays so he can attack or by them pushing themselves to exceed Isagi's evolving skill. By the time of the Neo Egoist League, players are willing to follow or use as a guide, Isagi's style of play cementing his place at the top of Blue Lock. He has been noted to be the heart of Blue Lock by Sae Itoshi and implied to be that by Ego. His skills are highly recognized and respected by a majority of Blue Lock and the world as a whole, even Jinpachi Ego comments publicly on his ability.
Skills Spatial Awareness: Isagi instinctually begins to analyze the entire field, giving him a vast understanding of the game, including his opponents and teammates' weapons. Based on this understanding, Isagi can make accurate predictions as to the flow of the game. These premonitions then allow him to envision an ideal play midgame and execute it efficiently even when faced with strong opposition and an unpredictable field. His spatial awareness is among the highest in Blue Lock, often rivaling and sometimes surpassing other player's own visions, such as Niko and Rin. Goal Scent: Using his spatial awareness, Isagi instinctively recognizes the "scent of a goal" that is emitted off of key players from his prediction and is able to expertly send them the ball so they may score. Adaptability (適応能力, Tekiō Nōryoku?): It was noted by Naruhaya that Isagi is a genius in terms of adaptability. By understanding the core of both his teammates' and opponents' football, Isagi can adapt his style to either devour or counter their talent. Isagi has "devoured" Naruhaya's off-the-ball movements and ability to exploit blind spots, adapted so he could devour Baro and exploit his weaknesses in order to score, adjusted his thinking midgame to trick and score on Rin, a physically and technically superior player, and has also added Metavision to his repertoire. Metavision (超越視界メタ・ビジョン, Meta Bijon?, Transcendence Sight): A term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Isagi constantly collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field. After analyzing Michael Kaiser's goal formula, Isagi adopted Kaiser's transcendent use of his vision into his own style of play and mixed with his spatial awareness, positioning, and reflex Isagi is able to swiftly predict and shut down the plays of some of the best players in Blue Lock and even one of the best strikers in the world and further create ideal situations for his own goals using his teammates in a way that is only possible for him. Meta Burst Point: Using his Metavision, Isagi is able to pinpoint the most critical point in the enemy's play and move in to steal the ball or stop the ball at the last second. He used this skill to great effect in the game against Manshine City. Egocentrism: Isagi is able to utilize his Metavision to read and understand the motivations or "protagonism" behind people's play styles, and use that understanding to further create opportunities for himself and his own team, by denying the opposite team's players of crucial plays that they attempt to make. Through this, Isagi is capable of anticipating, defending against and shutting down critical, illogical as well as even "miracle" plays that would normally be considered rationally, unpredictable and unstoppable. Direct Shot: Isagi first assesses the positions of defenders and the trajectory of the ball, then lands a powerful kick on the ball's impact point in order to score a clean goal. In doing this, Isagi avoids having to overthink his positioning and next move and can just score a clean shot with no interference. It was noted by Nagi that Isagi has no wasted motion when performing his shot, implying that Isagi performs it with flawless technique and control. Back Heel Shot: Isagi first assesses the positions of defenders and feints a direct shot in anticipation for his opponent's block. Then he lands a powerful backwards kick on the ball's impact point in order to score a clean shot. This move was first used against Rin Itoshi during their rematch in the Second Selection, which surprised everyone on the first sight. Lefty Direct Shot: Acting as a supplement or "side weapon" to his right-footed direct shot, Isagi is able to perform a left-footed direct shot when his dominant right side is blocked that is strong yet not as powerful as his right-footed direct shot. 2 Stage Lefty Direct Shot: Isagi assesses the positions of defenders and feints a direct shot with his right foot, in anticipation for his shot being blocked, then proceeds to tap the ball into the air and to the side instead, to further create sufficient space to shoot freely, a lefty direct shot. Off-the-Ball Movements: A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Isagi may use these moments to position himself in his opponents' blind spots, position himself in a place where he can deceive the opposition and be a decoy for his teammates shots, or to position himself close enough to a teammate to pull off super close back to back passing that can breakthrough an enemy's defense. Positioning: Mirroring Rin, Isagi is able to use his positioning to exploit luck during a game. If he realizes the ball will not be passed to him, Isagi will move to an opportune location, where he is in the blind spot of his opponent and where he would be able to score directly off of a direct shot. He used this to score the decisive goal in the match against the U-20. Reflex: Isagi, as of the match against the Japan U-20, has begun to consciously incorporate reflex into his playmaking. Isagi is able to use his awareness of the conditions of the field to find spaces of opportunity, either to attack the opponent's goal or defend his own. He used this to instinctively move to a position where he could use a Direct Shot, after passing to Nagi, he used this to read Sae's corner kick, by taking into account Sae's pass, as well as Rin's and Shido's positioning, and he also demonstrated this ability at the end of Japan U-20 match when he by reflex moved to the ball while in the blind spots of the Japan U-20 defense, scoring a powerful direct shot Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, the immerse state of total aggressive focus is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Isagi's Flow state involves Isagi constantly using all of his weapons at once to read the field and the distortions caused by the players on it. With his Metavision, he complexly reads the field and identifies player motivations and distortions then takes advantage of these with his spatial awareness and reflex and either mounts a surprise ironclad defense or a swift and unstoppable attack using his positioning and one touch passing. Isagi has unintentionally entered Flow State numerous times during Blue Lock, even as early as the First Selection, though his most impressive feat was entering Flow during Bastard München's game against Manshine City, taking control of the field and directly leading his team to a goal twice.

GENDER: Male AGE: 16 BIRTHDAY: November 30 HEIGHT: 183 cm BLOOD TYPE: B HAIR COLOR: Cyan (Sky blue) EYE COLOR: Cyan (Sky blue) OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Forward Winger Sideback WEAPON: Vision Ball Control Passing Reflex Metavision Flow State Yo Hiori is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a right back for Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League. Hiori is a wise but soft-spoken forward prodigy who was trained from birth to solely play football and be the best in the world by his parents, but Hiori with all his talent and intellect is looking for a purpose in life outside of his parents expectations.
Appearance: Hiori has choppy cyan hair that falls down his face and has soft feminine facial features, similar to Chigiri. His hair is neatly combed to sides with a longer strand of hair falling to one side.
Personality: Hiori is shown to be a polite young man. He is very friendly towards Isagi and Nanase, providing useful information after their match, as well as giving Isagi advice during the game. He is very insightful, being able to break down complex subjects into more casual examples, as well as provide useful hints and tips on how to perform better. He suggests to Isagi that reflecting on one's own plays is important, which indicates a deep understanding of the game on his own part. Hiori is also a very levelheaded person and player. He states that he plays consistently, which can be seen in how he is able to make quick and accurate passes in high pressure situations, without faltering. Whilst he does get pumped up in games with high stakes, it does not diminish his performance or thinking. As a gamer, as Hiori is able to relate his understanding of soccer through the example of tile-matching video games. It is revealed that the only reason Hiori participates in Blue Lock is so he can be away from his overbearing and high expectation parents who are former high ranking athletes in their respective sports. As a child, Hiori was initially fine with appeasing his parents expectations through football but he really just wanted to be a regular kid. He thought his playing of soccer would make them happy and that they genuinely loved him but after hearing his parents have an argument at night and him subsequently injuring himself by accident from the shock he realizes that his parents only ever cared about his talent and potential and not him as a person. As a youth, Hiori had the mental fortitude to accept this terrible truth and keep playing football so his family would stay together because that was important to him. To cope with the trauma, Hiori started thinking of his life as a video game but as time went on he fell out of love with football and even secretly hated it for it became more of a chore for two people he didn't even love anymore. Hiori is very good at keeping this secret to himself because nobody in Blue Lock except for his former youth teammate, Tabito Karasu knows of his disdain of the sport.
Abilities Archetype Deep-lying Playmaker: A holding midfielder who specializes in ball skills such as passing rather than defensive skills like tackling. When this player has the ball, they may attempt longer or more complex passes than other holding players. They may try to set the tempo of their team's play, retain possession, or build plays through short exchanges, or they may try to pass the ball long to a center forward or winger, or even pass short to a teammate in the hole, the area between the opponents' defenders and midfielders. With strong vision, ambidexterity, and passing combined with Hiori's level head under pressure, Hiori is a perfect player for being an assister. Hirori can effortlessly link up with any player, being able to calmly create space and send a perfect pass. His passes are usually short build up passes, and final passes in front of the goal and thus he can be considered a playmaker due to his automatic influence on the field. His combination of vision and ball control led Isagi to refer to him as a "Technician of 'Stillness'". After training with Bastard Munchen in the Neo Egoist League, Hiori acquired Metavision he has also adopted a counteractive dribbling style that focuses on his ambidexterity and vision, allowing Hiori to create space faster and more efficiently.
Skills Coolheaded Vision: Hiori's vision enables him to envision the best pass to make in any given situation. Hiori constantly looks around himself during a game to assess the positions of the players around him, as well as the situation of the field, so he can both receive the ball in space and pass the ball into space. It is through this vision that he was able to form an almost telepathic link-up with Rin, trading calm passes and avoiding other players. He also considers the positions of his teammates in and around the goal area, before deciding on right pass. His vision enables him to see plays that his opponents do not expect such as his combination with Karasu to get around the U-20. Expert Ball Control: Hiori has very good ball control, being able to perform advanced techniques with the ball at his feet. He demonstrates this in his ability to do one-touch passes, releasing the ball in the same instant he receives it. He is also able to perform a trap using the bottom of his foot to receive passes, halting the momentum of the ball entirely and setting up a dead ball for him to pass. He is able to perform techniques that give him space to set up a pass, or even a shot. First Touch Pass: Hiori is able to link-up with other players using his first touch to release the ball to a teammate. Thanks to his vision, he is able to always pass the ball into space, weaving through opposing players. Rabona: A technique where a player kicks the ball, with their kicking leg crossed behind their standing leg. Hiori can perform a rabona in a 1v1, using this against Chigiri to gain space for a cross. Hyperspeed Scissors: Hiori performs a scissor feint at incredible speed, making it hard to follow then effortlessly transitions into a skill move to bypass defenders. Efficient Dribbling: Through his coolheaded vision and expert ball control, Hiori maintains composure even when being pressed by multiple defenders at once, while still being capable of either dribbling past them with swift and efficient moves, or luring them in, still being able of delivering key passes to his teammates. Key Passing: Hiori is a very talented passer, being able to accomplish a series of short and long passes even in high pressure situations. Not only are his passes calm and accurate, but his passes also take into account every player's position on the field. Hiori is able to adapt to any passing tempo, switch between passing and dribbling in a short series of moves, and send final passes that could lead to goals. Crossing: Hiori is able to whip in fast and accurate crosses from the wing position or from a deeper position in midfield. These passes have incredible speed and curvature, being able to fool other players as to their destination. Hiori's crosses are so fast that even Isagi initially was unable to reach one of his crosses. Outside Pass: Hiori sends an incredibly quick pass using the outside of his foot, away from his mark. The speed and precision of this pass enables it to pass through even the most narrow spaces between opposing players. Heel Lift Pass: When being pressed by multiple opponents, Hiori quickly lifts the ball with his back heel over their heads, swiftly passing it to a teammate. He uses this pass to bypass the double press by Niko and Lorenzo. 2 Stage Fake Pass: Hiori ready to send a final pass into the penalty box, sets to kick the ball as if he is about to shoot it but instead loosely kicks and lifts the ball with his outside foot to maintain control while avoiding a press then opens up space so he can shoot with his dominant leg and and sends a killer shot like pass right in front of the goal. This pass led to a super goal by Isagi. Metavision: A term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Hiori constantly collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field. Hiori uses Metavision as a means to shadow Isagi and his plays. By anticipating his movements and supporting him through their shared vision, Hiori minimizes the time it takes for Isagi to strategize and increases his play speed on the fly, whilst also playing a key role in his awakening. Through this method, Hiori is also able to cover and assist in defense, any gaps that Isagi may leave out. Reflex: After taking Isagi's advice, Hiori starts to move instinctively, passing more audaciously and fluidly. He links up with Isagi so effortlessly because they are thinking on the same wavelength and he takes it even further by answering Isagi's expectations and drawing 3 defenders to himself while dodging their efforts and sending a killer final pass without even looking at his receiver.
His hometown is Kyoto. Hiori speaks with a dialect and has a Kansai accent. He helped Isagi awaken while playing. He is an avid gamer. He formed a trio with Nanase and Isagi. He thinks his biggest strength is how he's able to see the bigger picture. He always buys Yakult (a Japanese probiotic milk drink) in convenience stores. His disliked subject is PE because he already plays soccer, hence making him think that it's pointless to have to participate in PE. His preferred type is a person who can leave each other alone. When he bathes, he washes his neck first. His favorite music is NieR: Automata's OST (from a video game). His favorite movie is Ready Player One. His favorite food is the salt-grilled saury. His disliked food is cotton candy because of it being mainly sugar. His dominant leg is his left side. His favorite season is rainy season (can't play soccer because of the rain, which means staying at home playing games). His favorite football player is Mesut Özil.

GENDER: Male AGE: 16 BIRTHDAY: September 6 HEIGHT: 168 cm BLOOD TYPE: O HAIR COLOR: Pink EYE COLOR: Pink OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Bastard München POSITION: Sideback Forward WEAPON: Speed Passing Ranze Kurona is a contender for the Blue Lock Project, who currently plays as a sideback for Germany's Bastard München.
Appearance: Kurona is relatively short compared to his teammates that are around the same age as him. He has bright pink hair with a single braid hanging on the left side of his face. Kurona also has pink eyes and sharp saw-like teeth.
Personality: Kurona is very quiet and introverted, only speaking when necessary and prefers to keep out of the spotlight. He also favors assisting others than take the full initiative when on the field, mainly with Yoichi Isagi. He also has a tendency to repeat things and be semi self-conscious about his shark-like teeth. That being said, him being quiet does not mean that he is a rude person, and he is actually very nice. In most situations seen with Kurona, he has never been confrontational and rather seems to carry himself very calmly.
Abilities Archetype Offensive Full-back: Positioned at LB or RB, is an attack-minded player crucial in modern football. They provide width and attacking contributions to the team. They make overlapping runs, deliver accurate crosses, and have excellent dribbling skills. They also contribute to build-up play, linking with teammates, and are capable of taking shots on goal. Despite their attacking duties, they must balance these with defensive responsibilities, including tracking back, tackling, and one-on-one defending. Skills Speed: Kurona utilizes his speed to make short turns in order to get around opponents quickly. Passing: Unlike most players who specialize in long passes, Kurona specializes in short passes. As stated by Isagi, he is a great passing option at a perfect distance. In Noel Noa's state chart, his passes rate is even higher than Michael Kaiser's. Positioning: Kurona can instantly sense a position that is both unfavouritable for the enemy and advantagious for the ally staying at a perfect distance to recieve passes. Combined with his agility and the right allies, this makes him a dangerous offensive opponent.
Kurona's morning routine is: "Space out (not, so not a morning person) → Carefully brush my teeth (mine are crooked, crooked) → Style my hair (braiding’s fun, fun) → Go to school (oh sh*t, time to dash, dash)". His pregame ritual is to make his bed to be at ease for whatever the outcome of the match would be. His hobby is playing with his braids ("Since I was a child, I've had the habit of touching my bangs when I'm dazed, watching TV and concentrating"). His favorite animal is the great white shark ("I feel a sense of closeness because of its jagged teeth. Jaws. Jaws"). His favorite food is twisted bread ("It's cute because it looks like braids. Any flavour is fine. Fine"). His disliked food is hard rice crackers from Iga ("When I was a child, I chipped my tooth on one. Hard. Hard"). What makes him happy are subtle displays of affection ("I like people who always care about me").

GENDER: Male AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: August 8[1] HEIGHT: 176 cm[1] (5'9") BLOOD TYPE: AB[1] HAIR COLOR: Brown (yellow underneath) EYE COLOR: Yellow OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: FC Barcha POSITION: Forward Side Back Left Wing WEAPON: Dribbling Passing Flow State Meguru Bachira is a contender of Blue Lock who currently plays as a center forward for Spain's FC Barcha in the Neo Egoist League. Bachira is a whimsical forward who plays following his instincts. His main goal was to find soccer rivals who also have a "monster" inside of them, but his goal later changes to becoming the best striker in the world when he overcomes his childhood trauma.
Appearance: Bachira is a young man with a slim build, above average height, and an oval-shaped face. He has bright yellow eyes and a bob-cut hair that reach up to his chin and is black with golden under-lights (when Bachira was younger, his hair was only ear length). Bachira wears the FC Barcha uniform when competing for them.
Personality: Bachira has a rather eccentric demeanor and personality. He is usually very energetic, cheerful, and enthusiastic during matches, rarely losing his cool and will to play, describing soccer as something fun to play with others. Bachira immediately relates to Lavinho, who is also eccentric and energetic, and is inspired by his way of playing football. He has a tendency to sleep in unexpected moments, such as when he was sleeping during the tag test. He mostly oversleeps and ends up relying on Isagi or Kuon to wake him up, and then falls asleep during their team meetings; he's also been known to fall asleep during meals. He also tends to show up completely naked after every training and soccer matches. When the Neo Egoist League starts, Bachira takes his football training more seriously in an effort to become the world-class egoist he imagines himself to be and edge closer to becoming the best in the world. Bachira now actively weight trains and mediates. During his childhood, he was actively bullied because of his eccentric personality and exceptional skill in football, which made him terrified of being alone. This trauma causes Bachira to create an imaginary friend who is a "monster," more specifically a football monster because it motivates Bachira and his plays in the game. Only after he comes to Blue Lock does Bachira start facing his trauma for he finds people he is similar to and can call a friend, like Yoichi Isagi. Bachira can be seen casually befriending all sorts of people despite his somewhat strange demeanor including Isagi, Rin, Chigiri, and Kunigami. After the rematch between Isagi's Team White and Rin's Team Red, Bachira has moved past his previous trauma and has decided to be more confident and dominant on the field. He wants to become the world's best striker who scores only for himself, and thus will only pass someone the ball if they have the potential to excite him and help him play the kind of football he wants to play. Bachira has also steeled his resolve for moving forward in Blue Lock; no matter the challenge Bachira looks optimistically at the situation resolving to get stronger and reach the peak of each trial ahead of him.
Abilities Archetype Dribbler: Dribblers are players known for their close ball control ability that is used to go past defenders by sudden change of direction and acceleration sometimes combined with great pace. Bachira's dribbling technique allows him to break through most defenses with only high-level players being able to stop him but it is very rare to see the ball stolen from him. Team Z heavily relied on his dribbling ability to get the ball down the field during First Selection. His dribbling is rivaled by only a handful of players in Blue Lock and mixed with his key passing skill he has proven to be a much-needed asset on any team. After the initial training of the Neo Egoist League, Bachira has evolved his dribbling by moving away from proactive dribbling to more counteractive dribbling, preferring to read his opponent's movements first, maturing in the way he moves down the field.
Skills Elastic Dribbling: Bachira's dribbling style relies on his supreme technique and creativity to get through other players' defenses. His dribbling ability is so advanced that Isagi has noted before that it would be impossible for him to outright steal the ball in a one-on-one. Egotistical Style: During the Second Selection, Bachira evolved his dribbling to a new egoistic style, where he refuses to pass the ball, preferring to move dynamically past defenders alone. If his team will not challenge his expectations, then he does not care to have them in his plays. This was demonstrated to devastating effect when he dribbled past Isagi and then proceeded to take on all three defenders: Chigiri, Baro and Nagi, breaking past them all to go through on goal and once again when he single handedly broke past the entire Japan U-20 defense. After training under Lavinho and with FC Barcha, Bachira has decided to mix his dynamic and explosive dribbling with the free flowing style of FC Barcha, creating a whole new egotist style. Hyperspeed Scissors: Bachira performs a scissor feint at incredible speed, making it hard to follow. Marseille Turn: In order to get around an opponent, Bachira performs a roulette, almost immediately after his scissor feints. Midair Elastico: Bachira can perform the complex elastico dribble, while the ball is in the air, drawing in his opponents to try to steal the ball, before breaking past them. Rabona: Bachira kicks the ball where his kicking leg is crossed behind the back of his standing leg. He has managed to kick the ball over an incoming defender while doing this. Nutmeg: During the Second Selection, Bachira was able to perform a triple nutmeg on Isagi, Chigiri and Baro, all in succession, demonstrating his technical ability. Double Touch Feint: Bachira performs hyperspeed scissors and flows into a one-two touch feint. Aerial Rush Turn: Coming off of a double touch feint, Bachira moves towards the opponent and while maintaining top speed turns on the ball and rotates around the defender easily breaking through their defense. Key Passing: Bachira is also a very talented passer, enabling him to assist many different goals. He has, on multiple occasions, gotten an assist by crossing from the wings, as well as passing from the midfield. He also has demonstrated a range of passing techniques. High Speed Ground Pass: A quick pass with incredible top spin, that bounces across the ground. No-Look Pass: Bachira uses the Rabona technique to pass without looking. Long-Range Backspin Pass: Bachira can perform a long range pass, travelling nearly 60 meters, with backspin, allowing the ball to hug the ground whilst rising up. This pass is best used in a chemical reaction with a tall player, who can intercept the ball in its flight path, rather than on the ground. Quick Cross: Using the movements of another player as a precursor, Bachira fires a quick cross into the box which can only be met at great speed. He used this to assist Rin's goal against the Team World Five. Heel Lift Pass: While running with the ball in tow and into defenders who begin pressing him, Bachira quickly lifts the ball with his back heel over their heads swiftly passing it to a teammate to avoid the press. Bee Shot: After swiftly passing the ball to his teammates and running through defenders, Bachira receives the ball again and makes a close free form shot that is too quick to react to. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Bachira has unintentionally and intentionally entered Flow State numerous times during Blue Lock, as early as the First Selection. In this state, he has performed a triple nutmeg on some of the best players in Blue Lock and has broken through their defense with ease almost scoring all by himself if not for the confidence and respect his opponent had in his skill which caused them to intercept him. Monstrance: When he enters the Flow State, Bachira enters a challenge-centered trance, performing techniques incredibly quickly, including multiple feints and moving purely on instinct. Since he moves without conscious thought, it is incredibly difficult to predict and stop for the defenders. In this state, Bachira was able to easily overcome the U20 defenders and even Oliver Aiku. Bachira has evolved this further by being able to go into Monstrance at will and even combining his explosive style with the free and flowing Ginga style of Lavinho being able to produce even more explosively creative plays. Monster x Ginga: After fusing Lavinho's Ginga style with his Monstrance, Bachira evolves his dribbling to be even more explosive, free flowing, and unpredictable with flexibility and stability at the same time. Trick Break: After waiting and reading his opponent Bachira lunges towards a defender, performing a chop dribble between his legs while hugging the defender using their posture to limit their response and push himself forward with the ball. When the defender attempts to respond, Bachira is able to push off the defender with ease while still following the ball and counteracting any further stops. Monster Lift: Bachira is able to perform an audacious lift by first lifting the ball and moving into a shooting motion, before kicking the ball downwards with force and topspin. Upon bouncing, the ball spins over the head of the defender for Bachira to chase down. Bachira used this to great effect against Aiku.

Eita Otoya is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a rightwing for Spain's FC Barcha during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Otoya is a tall and handsome young man who has short, flat white hair with a strand of hair in the middle that is dark green, along with the underside of his hair being that same dark green color. His face is slim with a chiseled chin and thin, low-lidded eyes that are dark in color. Otoya has spindly limbs that allow him to be agile on the field.
Personality: Otoya has a laid back and relaxed personality, rarely being shown as pressured or under stress even during a match. He has no problem taunting his opponents and appeared to be entertained when Rin and Shido began to fight after their match. He also is very confident in his abilities, telling his team to play defence during his Third Selection match and not to talk back. Despite this, he does acknowledge when he is impressed by a teammate or an opponent, as seen when he was hyped up by Chigiri's speed.
Abilities Archetype Shadow Striker: Shadow strikers operate as one of the team's main goal scoring threats. Usually coupled with another forward, they aggressively push up into goal scoring positions as the ball moves into the final third and look to press opposing defenders when out of possession. Skills Agility: Otoya is incredibly quick on his feet, reacting quickly to opposing players and using his speed to intercept them. He is swift enough to intercept Shido's Aggressive Dribbles, as well as stop Rin in his tracks. His speed is at such a level that Ego positioned him in the Blue Lock Eleven with the express purpose of using his speed to get in behind the opposing defenders. Off-the-Ball Movements: A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Otoya is able to use these movements to position himself behind an opponent, as well as weave his way into the penalty area to attack a cross. Stealthy Steps: Through combining his Agility with his off-the-ball Movements, Otoya is able to very quickly weave in-between opposing players, without them realizing before it is too late to react. He was able to do this to get the better of both Hiori and Rin during the Third Selection, as well as Hiori and Nanase to score a goal. It is this technique which gives him his 'Ninja' epithet.
His favorite season is summer. He started playing football at the age of 6. His dominant foot is his right foot. His favorite animal is phoenix ("It's on fire"). His first time being confessed to was when he was 5 years old. He gave kisses to 95% of the girls in his preschool and 50% of them confessed to him (Little Menace). His type is someone who's "bright and honest", but his preference changes a lot, so this isn't too reliable. He seems to enjoy fights, especially when Rin and Shido broke out into a brawl in front of him. His favorite food is churros since they put him in a good mood and his disliked food is pickled vegetables as they are "unenjoyable" (A true statement). He believes the best companion for rice is cute girls. ("I like girls that can eat well~") When asked his first love, Eita answered that it was Dokin-chan when he was 3. Eita has stated that during the holidays, he likes to hang out with friends or going out on a date. Eita believes that once he gets a girlfriend, it becomes "tiresome". When asked the question: "What is your life motto?", Eita answered: "Whether it'll get me excited/pumped or not." (???) He was in the same team as Kenyu Yukimiya and Tabito Karasu in the Second Selection. He seems to be a descendant of ninja. He gets 8 hours of sleep a night. If Eita received 100 million yen, he would reserve an entire night pool and "do" as much as he can. His favorite manga is Moteki. If Eita impulsively bought something from a convenience store, it would be breath care because: "You never know when you're going to get a kiss". His favorite celebrity is Kumiko Aso. Intelligence is a very notable trait of his since not only was he the top student of his class, but also took up the role of Team V's strategist and could improvise new plans on the spot when faced with stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit self centered since he tends to put his own objectives above everything else which resulted in him persuading Nagi who had no interest in football at first, into playing with him. Although he welcomes new challenges and experiences, he gets deeply upset when things don't go his way, perhaps owing to his wealthy upbringing. Generally, he seems to feel every emotion with full force and is extremely aware of his own faults and shortcomings, which is evident in several instances of painful breakdowns shown in the spin-off manga. Due to his high emotionality, he can even get violent when he loses his temper as seen when he elbows Raichi Jingo after some taunting. On the whole, Reo is a friendly and clever young man who knows what he wants out of life and will pursue it until he's satisfied. Despite having a very fortunate life, he found everything boring because of how easy it was to get whatever he wanted. So he decided to carve a path where he would have to fight for what he wanted and prove his existence. He found satisfaction in playing football to obtain the coveted World Cup and would do anything he could to win, like paying and taking care of a natural football prodigy like Nagi to get further in football. At the near end of First Selection Reo was confident in his team winning yet another game but when Team Z started shutting down and scoring on Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated at a situation he did not understand going as far as to foul somebody. Reo was noticeably at a loss for words when Team Z ended up winning the game, and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's Team White at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy, Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo regarded as 'his treasure', would choose to play with someone else over him. He spent the half of Second Selection focused on 'winning' Nagi back, only to lose the match deciding who would pick a player from the other team, almost losing Nagi as a friend as a result. After Reo survives the hardships of the Second Selection, he lets go of his stubbornness and realizes his weakness, vowing to get stronger to stay close to the people that matter to him and get further in his goal of winning the World Cup. After finally letting go of his possessive attachment to Nagi and finally realizing what he needs to do to be strong and stay with his friend, Reo vowed to become the best striker in the world who can dominate the field without needing anyone’s help, along with the top players in Blue Lock. Reo is very serious about his football career as he uses all the resources available to study and become refined at football as fast as possible. He is careful and observant, analyzing every player's strengths and weaknesses, showing a very wide and tactical mind.
Abilities Archetype Utility Player: Capable of playing any role that his team needs, Reo is incredibly versatile. Able to cover ground, create for his teammates (using his own Metavision to deliver a pinpoint pass to Seishiro Nagi), score using techniques adopted from his teammates (as seen when he scored using Kenyu Yukimiya's gyro shot), and defend the oppositions biggest threat (as seen with Reo shutting down Ryusei Shido using Oliver Aiku's defensive techniques), Reo is full capable of doing it all for his team, no matter what they need. After playing the Japan U-20 and training with England's Manshine City, Reo has incorporated all the skills he has learned from the positions he has played into a singular style that make him a strong and variable player who can start and finish off any kind of play. Skills Dexterity: Despite not being involved in soccer from a very young age, Reo is very skilled at all aspects of the sport. He has excellent passing, shooting, dribbling, and ball control capabilities (among other skills). He also has high physical capabilities, with good stamina and speed. He is a well-rounded and excellent player, being considered as a 'Jack-of-All-Trades'. On many occasions, it has been stated that if most people in Blue Lock have low skill levels in some of their stats and extremely high skill levels in other areas, then Reo has nearly perfect stats across the board, making him able to play most positions in soccer. The Chameleon: Using his all-rounder skills, excellent soccer abilities and sense, and his 99/100 stats across all his various skills, Reo is able to emulate the abilities that other players have demonstrated. Reo uses his nearly perfect skills to be able to understand how others, who are specialized in certain areas, are able to produce certain abilities. Using this understanding, he is able to recreate these abilities on his own. The only downside of this ability is that Reo can only copy skills and abilities that are within his physical capability and not natural physical talent, such as Ryusei Shido's extreme physical moves or Hyoma Chigiri's insane speeds. The abilities he copies, however, are weaker than the original because of his skills only reaching 99% at maximum power, and cannot match up to the originals when compared. Long Pass: Copied from Meguru Bachira. Gyro Shot: Copied from Kenyu Yukimiya. Chameleon Defense: To "stop Shidou", Ego places Reo in the defense position in the Blue Lock vs U-20 match, telling him that he needs to observe all the U-20 defenders (Oliver Aiku, Kazuma Nio, Miroku Darai and Teppei Neru) so that he can copy his movements and use that power to kill Ryusei Shidou. During the match Reo also use the trapping ability of Nagi to save the ball from a second shot by the U-20 players. Total Defence: Copied from Oliver Aiku. Physical Pressure: Copied from Kazuma Nio. Trap Shot (Pass): Copied from Seishiro Nagi. Neo Chameleon Strike Mode: Taking his Chameleon Style one step further, Reo uses his nearly perfect skills to copy high-level plays that allow Reo to move as a striker and score his own goals. He flawlessly steals the ball, breaks through the defense of Bastard München, and almost scores a goal using this new style in the Neo Egoist League in the first minutes of a game. Cross Elastico Nutmeg: Copied from Sae Itoshi. Trivela (Shot): Copied from Rin Itoshi. Oppressive Pass: Copied from Rin Itoshi. Hyperspeed Scissors: Copied from Sae Itoshi. Direct Shot (Pass): Copied from Yoichi Isagi. Metavision: A term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Reo constantly collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field. Reo uses it subconsciously, the first instance being during the Bastard München vs Manshine City match.
He prefers bamboo shoots over mushrooms. The first person to ever confess to Reo was his elementary school teacher. This might have just been because of his money, or so he thinks. He is attracted to older, more mature women, such as Hisako Manda. He impulsively buys business books and lunch packs at the convenience store. His favorite food is ichibo steak. His disliked food is dried and sliced sweet potato. His favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo. He got 48 Valentines gifts on Valentine's Day. His motto is: "Get everything you want." If he received 100 million yen, he would invest in the stock market. His favorite manga are Kaiji and Ushijima the Loan Shark. His favorite animal is the lion.

GENDER: Male AGE: 16 BIRTHDAY: December 23 HEIGHT: 177 cm (5'10") BLOOD TYPE: A HAIR COLOR: Reddish-pink EYE COLOR: Pink OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: POSITION: Left Wing Forward Right Back WEAPON: Speed Ball Control Crossing
Hyoma Chigiri is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a left wing for England's Manshine City during the Neo Egoist League.
Chigiri is a forward prodigy who was chained down by a leg injury in his past but he let go of his fears while at Blue Lock so he could continue playing football wholeheartedly. When first arriving at Blue Lock, Chigiri was a member of Team Z. Chigiri spent half of the First Selection avoiding participation or keeping it to a bare minimum but when he was motivated by Isagi in Team Z's third game, he decided to let go of his fear and play football to become the world's best striker like his rivals.
Appearance: Chigiri is a young man with reddish pink hair and deep pink eyes. Chigiri has always had a very feminine face since he was young, as shown by his long eyelashes and soft facial features. He is often referred to as "Kunoichi" or "Princess" due to his feminine appearance, sometimes mistaken for a girl at first glance; he often rebuts this with the words: "I'm a guy." He has been praised by other players for being attractive, though he seems indifferent to such comments. He looks very similar to his mother and older sister. Chigiri's hair had been only neck length until he tore the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in his right leg, after which he let it grow out. Chigiri's hair currently goes past his shoulders and has one long bang that sweeps to the right side of his face. During games, he braids the left side of his hair so that it doesn't get in his face.
Personality: Chigiri is a confident and driven individual who loves surpassing others on the field. From a very young age, he has always thought himself superior to others due to his naturally strong muscles, amazing skill in football, and his outstanding speed, calling himself a 'chosen one'. He looked down on those who got in his way or annoyed him but was mostly behaved as though stating facts. He is described as a super-egoist, cocky, and the one of the most aggressive players on the pitch. Only when he tore his ACL did his sense of superiority start to crumble and, due to being bullied by the Wanima Brothers, he became afraid of playing football for fear of losing 'who he is'. He was so fearful of this, that he accepted the invitation to Blue Lock to find a reason to give up rather than continue to strive for his dream. But after retaking a hold of his ego and ambition, he has shown himself to be a persistent and stubborn force on the field. After this point, Chigiri demonstrates an amiable but still self-assured attitude. He often makes sassy remarks towards both opponents and friends alike, and has no qualms about trying to crush people he feels hard done by. Such as Zantetsu when he outruns him on the field and even Isagi when he goes ahead in the Second Selection instead of waiting for him. Off the field, Chigiri is generally easygoing and mellow. During his time on Team Z, he'd casually chat with Kunigami and eventually made a team with him showing that he fully trusts his abilities, and went on to demonstrate great chemistry with him. He even invited Reo to join them, recoginizing that his balanced skill set and experience in navigating a trio would come in handy; apparently willing to put aside any past animosity for the sake of pragmitism. After he joins Team White in the Second Selection, he even gets along fairly well with Nagi, watching videos about professional players and testing out a variety of objects that Nagi can trap, making a mess in their bedroom and generally antagonizing Baro. He also takes great care of his body and appearance, tending diligently to his injured knee. His propensity for hair care is especially noticeable and has been demonstrated on a few occasions, though it should be noted that blow-drying hair is a more common cultural practice among both genders than in the West. Still, he's in the habit of twirling his hair while he's deep in thought and gets visibly irritated when Aryu touches it and even slaps his hand away. Chigiri is shown to have great focus being a player who is constantly running through tight spaces, between players, and even switching from dribbling to passing. Chigiri admits that he feels a great joy surpassing other players with his speed, and when is inspired by Isagi and retakes his will to play and win he finally leaves behind his fear and begins to once again be that player he used to be in middle school and states he will become the best striker in the world. A clear example of his ego is when in the match against Japan U-20, he runs out of stamina due to not having played soccer for nearly a year before going to Blue Lock and is substituted out; Chigiri is so frustrated that he cries once he sits in the bench.
Abilities Archetype Counter attacker: Counter attackers are any attacking player that uses their pace to beat defenders and cause unexpected scoring opportunities at any time. They also need some degree of shooting skill. Counterattacking opportunities occur when the opposition are themselves attacking a team with most of their players forward. A counterattack happens when the ball is won back and is quickly played into space for a counterattacking player to run onto or where a player takes the ball themselves and runs with pace into a sparsely defended opposition half. Chigiri's natural physical disposition allows him to run at incredible speeds compared to most players and along with his great focus he is able to keep control of the ball and his speed while moving through tight spaces, between players, and switching between dribbling and passing seamlessly. After training with Manshine City, Chigiri more carefully decides where he is going to cut and run as Chigiri now aims for his ideal shooting zone using his refined speed and dribbling instead of blindly into the penalty area as fast as possible.
Skills Immense Speed: Chigiri has naturally strong leg muscles and expert footwork, which enables him to run down the field at incredible speeds. Chigiri is generally considered to be the fastest player in Blue Lock and only players with immense speed, like Ryusei Shido, Eita Otoya and Zantetsu Tsurugi, can compete with him. While his speed is rivaled by a handful of players, as of yet, nobody has been able to beat him in a direct contest of maximum speed (Zantetsu has beaten him in contests of acceleration over 10m). Chigiri has even sped past Oliver Aiku, the #1 defender of the Japan U-20. This speed, combined with his perception and awareness of positioning enables him to choose the appropriate breakthrough point in an opponent's defense and to speed through. In addition to this, Chigiri has demonstrated the ability to directly kick the ball and follow it, resulting in a wide dribble that can break apart an enemy's formation. It is for these reasons Chigiri has one of the best breakthrough abilities in Blue Lock. Long-Distance Sprinting: While Chigiri may not have explosive acceleration like Zantetsu or Ryusei, he is by far faster over long distance, stated to cover 50m in 5.77 seconds. Chigiri makes use of this weapon by "passing" to himself, sending the ball a long distance ahead of him (around 50 meters) and running to pick it up. As a result, he is able to break through even the tightest and strongest of defenses with relative ease. No-Break Dribble: Instead of trapping a pass, Chigiri bounces the ball forward without stopping his run. He then runs at breakneck speeds with the ball in tow and during the sprint accelerates even faster without losing momentum from adjustment, being unable to be stopped by anybody trying to stop him or defend the goal. High-Speed Pressure: Chigiri is able to utilize his speed in a defensive manner by quickly moving across the field to hound whoever is in possession of the ball. This pressure can force errors in opponents and easily allows Chigiri's team to set up traps. However, this tactic is incredibly draining on Chigiri's stamina as he cannot run for a long period of time. Jungle Jam Run: Rather than a wide area where he excels, Chigir runs straight through a crowded area while making swift turns. He does this to draw his opponents into the center of the field so that his teammates can move freely through the sides. 44° Panther Snipe: A style Chigiri developed under the mentorship of Chris Prince, which combines the different skills and techniques he has learnt in Blue Lock, as well as enhancing them with the training in the Neo-Egoist League, enabling him to score goals in a way that is unique to him. First, Chigiri locates his ideal shooting zone, which is approximately 44 degrees left, 19 meters from the goal. Second, he uses his cut-in to penetrate the opponent's formation, reaching the ideal point. Third, he uses his centering technique to quickly fire a controlled shot towards the corner of the goal. Mach Cut-In: Chigiri baits his opponent by remaining still, then from no motion he bursts into a cut-in, going either outside or inside the opposing defender. He can perform this move multiple times, to speed past multiple defenders and eventually reach his shooting zone. Controlled Shot: Centering his body quickly, Chigiri is able to unleash a highly controlled and accurate shot into the top left corner of the goal.
He damaged his ACL in middle school. He has an older sister. His hometown is Kagoshima, Japan. His foot size is 26.5cm. His blood type is A. His dominant leg is his right leg. His favorite football player is Eden Hazard. He started playing football at the age of 4. He got the nickname 'Red Panther' after a local newspaper called him that once. He thinks his strong point is that he's proactive when it comes to things he likes or wants to do. As for his weak point, he is often told that he's moody, though he doesn't intend to come off as such. His favorite food is karinto manjuu. His disliked food is ginger due to its taste. He thinks the best thing to have with rice is pollack roe. His hobby is reading novels. His favorite season is winter because he enjoys drinking tea and eating sweets while sitting under a kotatsu. His favorite song is 'Blue Bird' by Ikimono-gakari. His favorite movie is The Butterfly Effect. His favorite manga is Attack on Titan. His character color is vivid pink. His favorite color is purple-red. Black cats are his favorite animals. His favorite subjects are English, Physical Education and History. He doesn't like having to do school safety drills since they're a hassle. He likes when he is praised for his talent or admired for how fast he can run. He dislikes when he is envied for his talent. His ideal type is someone who is calm and understanding since he himself can be quite intense. The first time he got confessed to was in his first-year of elementary school. The girl sitting at the desk behind him suddenly confessed to him, which made others in the class join in, also confessing to Chigiri. He says he probably turned down about half the class in one go that day. He received a total of zero Valentine's chocolates in the previous year. He had no time for such things due to his injury. He gets 7 hours of sleep each night. The first thing he washes when in the bath is his forehead to avoid getting pimples there. He always finds himself buying wagashi whenever he's at the convenience store. He says he doesn't remember the reason for the last time he cried (but actually just doesn't want to say why). He received Christmas presents from Santa until he was 11 years old, his older sister enjoyed pretending to be Santa and would give him a gift each year. The last thing that he asked for from Santa were spiked running shoes. If it were his last day on Earth, he would sit at a kotatsu drinking tea and eating karinto manjuu all whilst petting a black cat. If he received 100 million yen (~USD $735,000), he would buy an oxygen therapy capsule. He spends his days off reading, taking long bathes and caring for his body. Chigiri ranked 4th in the first popularity poll with 1,148 votes. While he was thought to be based on Gareth Bale due to their pace and coordination, Muneyuki Kaneshiro clarified that he was based on Ryo Miyaichi. While Ryo also had great pace and coordination, he also suffered 3 ACL tears.

The Blue Lock Project, or Player Improvement Project, is a special soccer project created by Jinpachi Ego and funded by the Japan Football Union with the intention of developing not only the best striker in the world, but a solitary hero for Japan that would lead the nation into finally winning the World Cup using Ego's extreme training regimens and coaching. Additionally, anyone who loses at Blue Lock would forever lose the right to play for Japan.
The project began on November 20, 2018.
Phase One Selections Dormitory Test: Oni Pretend
- The entrance exam to Blue Lock wherein the 300 participants are divided into 25 groups of 12 people and every 12 people are held in a large room and the last person who is hit with the football by the end of 136 seconds in a game of tag is disqualified. Once that person is eliminated the remaining 11 people form a "team" and proceed to the next selection.
First Selection: Round-robin Group League Match
- Twenty-five teams are divided into five team groups to perform a round-robin tournament, the top two teams of each group will survive and move on, and the remaining three teams of the group are disqualified and forced out. However, the top strikers of each of the three teams disqualified get to survive as well.
Second Selection: Rivalry Battle
- A player battle selection broken into 5 stages: 1st Stage: The artificial intelligence hologram GK [BLUE LOCK MAN system] is introduced, and it is necessary for players to achieve 100 goals in 90 minutes alone against the hologram goalkeeper. The difficulty of this stage adjusts as increases as the number of goals scored increases, and there are stages from "Lv.1," "Lv.2," to "Lv.MAX." Only those who have cleared this stage can proceed to the 2nd stage. 2nd Stage: Those who have cleared the first stage, now must divide into teams of three and battle other teams in 3v3 game to 5 in the 3rd Stage. Teams that lose in the 3rd Stage come back to the 2nd stage to face off in a 2v2 game where one person is eliminated from Blue Lock. The rankings are now based on the order of the participants in clearing the first stage. 3rd Stage: Those who have cleared the second stage, must now face off against each other in a 3v3 game to 5. The winners get to steal a player from the losing team and move on to the 4th stage. 4th Stage: Those who have cleared the the third stage, must now face off against each other in a 4v4 game to 5. The winners get to steal a player from the losing team and they clear the Second Selection by having 5 players. 5th Stage: Once the team of 5 is assembled they become a Clear Team and move on the Third Selection.
Third Selection: Tryout
- To start the selection a 5v5 game against 5 of the world's best soccer players. Winning is not a necessity, only participation for the game only acts as a rating of the last string of players and teaches them a lesson, the difference between them and the world. After all the teams possible have cleared the Second Selection they gather together and the best 6 players are identified and separated. They are divided into three teams A, B, and C and the remaining 29 players are given the option of playing with one of those teams in order to prove themself worthy of being in the starting lineup of a game against their generation's best.
Wild Card: Second Chance
- Each and every one of the "Locked-off" players would be offered a second and final chance at Blue Lock by participating in the secret Wild Card challenge. The details to the challenge remains unknown, but ultimately, only one player would remain standing at the end and would then continue on into the Phase Two selections.
Phase Two Selections Final Selection: Neo Egoist League
- On February 18, 2019, each and every Blue Lock player who made it to the Third Selection as well as the only Wild Card survivor, along with the regulars from the old Japan U-20 are made to decide on a country to train in. The players must decide on a country to train in based on preference and what they wish to gain out of the training. When the players pick their country they will be separated into stratums based on that country and will get to train with the U-20 level players of the best club team in those respective countries and the master striker that reigns over that team and country. After initial training, a team of 11 made up of whoever gets picked as a regular by the master striker from the club team or Blue Lock will play in a Round Robin tournament that will pit Blue Lock rivals and world class players against each other in short but highly dynamic games. After the tourney is over, only the top Blue Lock players of the remaining 23 players will be picked as regulars for the reconstructed Japan U-20 team in the upcoming U-20 World Cup.

Neo Egoist League is the final selection of the Blue Lock Project in preparation for the U-20 World Cup.
After Blue Lock obtained victory in the Japan U-20 match that was viewed by Japan and the world at large, Jinpachi Ego was given complete reign over the Japan National Team and many interested investors came forward wishing to put their money on the Blue Lock Project and its potential. With complete control and more resources, Ego decided to not only further train his players in preparation for the World Cup but also make the training a massive entertainment project that would involve and be viewed by the world through the new streaming service called Blue Lock TV (BLTV). Ego invited all Blue Lock players who made it to the Third Selection along with the regulars from the old Japan U-20 and made them decide on a country train in. So the players could be able to combat "the world" in the upcoming World Cup, Ego decided to change the environment of Blue Lock so that it emulates the football scene in Europe's Top 5 Leagues, France, Germany, England, Italy and Spain. The players must decide on a country to train in based on preference and what they wish to gain out of the training. Ego reveals that no matter where they go, this selection will inevitably change all the player's lives, either for better or for worse. Only the players who can show "uniqueness" and bring value to a team that already stands at the peak of the football world will be chosen to play in the U-20 World Cup.

Gender: Male AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: May 6 HEIGHT: 190 cm (6'3") BLOOD TYPE: O HAIR COLOR: White EYE COLOR: Gray OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Manshine City POSITION: Forward Goalkeeper Right Wing Offensive Midfielder< WEAPON: Ball Control Trapping Flow State
Seishiro Nagi is a contender for the Blue Lock Project who currently plays as a rightwing for England's Manshine City in the Neo Egoist League.
When first arriving at Blue Lock, Nagi was a member of Team V and was the best player in his designated stratum. After the Blue Lock Eleven played against the Japan U-20 team, Nagi was ranked as one of the top players in the project.
Appearance: Nagi is very tall with a lean but muscular build, however, he usually slouches, which is why he looks shorter than he is. Nagi is shown to have short white hair that leaves a V-shaped fringe in between his eyes, like Isagi. He has gray-colored eyes with large irises.
Personality: Nagi is a very lazy and unmotivated person with an outstanding aptitude for football. He's unnaturally talented, with amazing reflexes, good speed, and jumping skills. But he has no interest in going pro or even playing at all at first. As long as he can get a decent job and keep living a lax life, he is content with doing nothing forever and often appears lethargic in his speech and body language. Introverted to a fault, he lives by himself in an apartment his parents pay for with only a pet cactus for company. He was shown to have no friends in high school before meeting Reo, and he frequently got gossiped about or possibly bullied. Even so, he demonstrates no interest in socializing and often has to be dragged into things by others, especially Reo. He initially does not want to put any effort into football and belittles those who are weak and talentless at the game since such things are easy for him. He doesn't even know anything about the best football players in the world, much to the chagrin of his competitors. At first, he is shown as indifferent to playing soccer and becoming the world's best striker, preferring to play video games or skip training altogether. He exhibits behavior like that of a shut-in and may actually be addicted to his phone. He struggles to let go of it when Anri tries to confiscate his items, and Reo is even able to bribe him into playing when he reminds him he can get it back with the goal reward system. Despite all this, Nagi shows that he can become motivated if he's challenged. Upon entering Blue Lock, he encounters players who get him invested in the game to the point that he's willing to make strategies of his own and go against Reo, whom he otherwise obeys, just so he can do as little thinking as possible. Nagi also has a bold side to himself that comes out around Baro the most often due to an early rivalry that started with him calling him Reo's "slave." He often antagonizes him and gets in his face when his arrogance irritates him, something very few characters are willing to do given how intimidating Baro can be. But when he wants to play, he demonstrates a deep sense of teamwork and can synergize with many players, Reo and Isagi in particular. Although Nagi comes off as an apathetic person, he is a reliable player who has some of the most unpredictable moves on the field, perhaps only rivaled by Gagamaru in terms of creativity. After playing against Team Z at the end of the First Selection and experiencing his first ever loss, Nagi starts to take more initiative and deal with the frustration of losing. He finally starts to have motivation and is willing to explore these feelings alone if necessary, and this only happens because he notices that his friend and teammate, Reo Mikage, seems to be at a loss against Team Z. Despite his initially indifferent exterior, Nagi strives to improve his soccer skills as a result of his team's loss to Yoichi Isagi. This drive to improve follows him in later arcs, and he even tarnishes a friendship because of it. By the time of the Neo-Egoist League, beating Isagi was Nagi's most important driving force. Nagi does seem to care about his friends and teammates, especially his best friend Reo, even though their relationship turns rocky from the Second Selection onward because of Reo's possessiveness over Nagi, which clouds his view of their shared dream of winning the World Cup. However, he is, at his core, an egoist like some of the best players in Blue Lock. He cares only about his ambition, his dream, and winning. Nagi tends to clash with people he doesn't like. When he meets Baro after Nagi and Isagi's loss to Rin Itoshi, they immediately begin to argue and provoke each other, competing in the field about who's the best of both, challenging frequently in a 1 vs. 1, giving each other insults, and even fighting for who will have the single bed in a room for teams of three members.
Abilities Archetype Creative Midfielder: Creative midfielders are midfield players that can create goal-scoring opportunities for the team, often in situations where nothing seems likely. They usually have good ball control, passing ability, and movement and will be blessed with vision and on-the-ball intelligence. With Nagi's perfect ball control, flexible movements, and technical ability, he can breathe life into even the most difficult or hopeless plays. He alone has made the most outrageous goals in Blue Lock due to this skill, and he continues to evolve into a creative playmaker. After training with Manshine City and coming to understand his strengths and weaknesses more, Nagi is much stronger physically, has more refined trapping and ball control, and personally takes the initiative in creating his own plays instead of just being a part of someone else's. Skills Perfect Ball Control: In football, being in control of the ball is of significant importance to every level of player. The ability to control an awkward bouncing ball quickly and effectively gives the player with the ball an immediate advantage. The first touch is often the difference between success and failure in most situations during the match. Nagi has exceptional ball control and demonstrates it constantly by setting up traps and scoring with near-precise accuracy. He constantly scores high-level shots, especially in unfavorable positions, when under pressure from tough opponents. One of his most impressive feats was when he performed a fake volley shot. His ability to control the ball is only rivaled by Rin Itoshi and Tabito Karasu and is one of the few things that escapes Rin's logic. Because of his natural sense for controlling the ball with his own body, Nagi is a truly prodigal talent, being one of the top players in Blue Lock despite only having recently started playing football, shortly before the program. After undergoing analysis by Chris Prince, Nagi understands the fundamentals of his ball control and has become more refined. First Touch Pass: Using his exceptional ball control, Nagi can use his first touch to make a creative pass to a teammate. Nagi often produces new ways of laying off the ball, whether it be with his chest or the tip/side/heel of his foot. What makes Nagi such a creative player is his ability to turn any kind of pass into a potential attack. No matter the quality or attributes of the pass he is sent, he can pass it effectively into a dangerous area. This skill has been demonstrated numerous times, most notably when he controlled Isagi's difficult pass during the match against the Japan U-20, using his heel to flick the ball on to a charging Isagi, over the heads of the U-20 defense. Trapping: Even before Blue Lock, Nagi had exceptional trapping ability, being able to trap a cellphone in midair while jumping down a flight of stairs. This feat was so impressive that Reo immediately recognized his talent for football and decided to make him his partner. He can trap with his entire body with deadly efficiency, constantly finding ways to turn a dire situation into something favorable. Nagi has trapped the ball using his toes, heels, and even his back, demonstrating the versatility of his trapping. He can trap virtually any object, and he often uses his trapping to manipulate and confuse his opponents when making a run down the field, which combines with his spatial awareness to place himself at the best point possible for amazing traps and follow-up shots. After training in the Neo-Egoist League, Nagi's trapping has evolved, with him being able to trap while being pressured by two defenders and trap a high-power close pass while moving at great speeds. Creative Trap: When Nagi approaches the ball with a defender behind him, he can use his first touch to flick the ball over their shoulder and dodge past them. Isagi described this as a creation trap that blows life into a play. Black Hole Trap: Alternatively, if Nagi is not pressured by his opponents, he can use an absorbing trap, catching the ball in midair and killing its momentum. This gives him the time and space to set up his next play. Trap Shot: This is his most common skill, and he frequently uses it in his matches. Nagi first performs a trap with the ball, whether it is in motion or not. From this point, he kills the velocity and momentum of the ball so he can manipulate the ball and make a pinpoint shot that breaks the defense of the opposing team and scores an effortless point. Zero Reset Turn: While being pressured by multiple defenders, Nagi can hold them back while perfectly trapping an incoming ball, then turn instantly to move the ball away from the defenders and charge through them, resetting the flow of the game midplay. Juggling Shot: After trapping a ball while moving and giving it airtime, Nagi can relax his body in midair, move his legs around the ball, and kick the ball with extreme force, performing a monstrous volley shot. Flow State (Incomplete): Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Nagi has entered Flow State numerous times in Blue Lock, sometimes intentionally and other times unintentionally, but he has yet to master it. His most impressive feat in Flow State was the Fake Volley Shot. 2-Stage Fake Volley Shot: First performed in the rematch between Isagi's Team White vs. Rin's Team Red, when Nagi was pressured to score and prove his worth on the field in such a high-level game. Nagi starts by setting up a high-powered shot from an incoming pass, but at the last second, he changes the angle of the shot to send the ball spinning in the air. The speed of the ball's spin makes it float in place, allowing Nagi to follow up with a high-powered shot. Rin himself could not predict or counter the move, and it was good enough to provoke him into getting serious. When Anri first saw it, she described it as a miracle, but Ego suggested it was a move possible because of Flow State. Five-Shot Revolver Fake Volley: Nagi first perfectly traps a pass falling in front of him while giving it some airtime, then instantly positions himself into a shooting form. He powerfully kicks the bottom of the ball in the air, killing its forward momentum and giving it a spin like his 2-Stage Fake Volley Shot, but instead of shooting it off of that play, he performs the fake volley again, giving the ball even more height in the air. Nagi performs a fake volley and juggles the ball in the air two more times to avoid defenders, and then on the fifth attempt, Nagi jumps for the ball in the air and kicks the ball with extreme force, scoring a goal between two defenders and past the goalie. The goal was so astounding that the combined defensive forces of Kaiser and Isagi couldn't stop it, and the entire field looked in pure awe and disbelief at the goal. On social media, the shot is described as the "goal of the century." Ego describes it as a goal that can never be recreated ever again.

GENDER: Male AGE: 18 BIRTHDAY: November 3 HEIGHT: 195 cm (6'5") BLOOD TYPE: A HAIR COLOR: Black OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock Team: Ubers POSITION: Centre Back Forward WEAPON: Jumping Power Long Reach Headers
Jyubei Aryu is a contender for the Blue Lock Project, who currently plays for Italy's Ubers during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Aryu is extremely tall, being of the tallest players in Blue Lock. He has long black hair that is mid-back length. Along with his height, his limbs are also very long. He has black eyes, with nails that are also shown to be painted black. He has some feminine features but can still be distinguished as a male.
Personality: Aryu is known to say "stylish" a lot and wants to do everything in "style." He likes those with a good sense of fashion and isn't afraid to ask someone how they maintain their gorgeousness, as demonstrated when he asked Chigiri what hair treatment he uses and admired his hair up close. Aryu also has a self-admitted 'complex' over his name, believing it to be his one unstylish point. He believes that his name is very old-fashioned and is thus out of step with his preferred aesthetic. Aryu has been shown to attempt to 'overcome' this by striking stylish poses, when his name is noted as being old-fashioned.
Abilities Archetype Goal Poacher: Goal poachers are forwards who wait in the six-yard box or the penalty area for a cross, pass or loose ball and pounce to try to score a goal. The "poaching" refers to the fact that they will often score a goal out of the slightest of opportunities, i.e., steal a goal. Goal poachers usually play as center forwards or second strikers. Skills Jumping Power: Aryu has incredible jumping ability which, compounded with his height, enable to him reach aerial balls from a higher position than most other players in Blue Lock. Aryu has used his jumping ability to intercept long balls and score from long balls, making him an ideal target for a cross or as a center-back who physically overwhelms the opposing player. Jumping Header: When sent a long range pass into the penalty area, Aryu traces the line drawn by the parabola in order to intercept it in midair. He can then head the ball at a downwards angle, where it will bounce past any opposition defence as well as the goalkeeper. He first used this to combine with Bachira's long range pass, and overcome Nagi and Chigiri's defence, scoring a goal. Midair Chest Trap: In order to receive a long range pass, Aryu uses his jumping ability to trap the ball in midair with his chest. Long Reach: Perhaps, Aryu's greatest weapon is the reach of his limbs. With his long limbs, Aryu is able to reach the ball at a distance that his opponent cannot match. He can use this to receive a pass ahead of his opponent, by stretching out his leg ahead of him. Notably, he has also exploited his reach to score unlikely goals, shooting the ball from Isagi's feet into the goal, despite Isagi shielding it with his body. Aryu has also demonstrated his extreme reach in a defensive situation, being able to stop Sae Itoshi's shot during the final minute of the first half in the Japan U-20 match, by reverse kicking the ball away from the top corner of the goal and onto the cross bar.
He is an only child. His hobby is visiting shrines and temples. If Aryu had 100 million yen, he would hire a manicurist exclusively for him. Aryu's favorite soccer player is Andy Carroll because he is beautiful.

GENDER: Male AGE: 19 BIRTHDAY: June 30 HEIGHT: 190 cm (6'3") BLOOD TYPE: B HAIR COLOR: Black with green tips EYE COLOR: Green (left eye) Purple (right eye) OCCUPATION: Football Player AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Ubers POSITION: Centre Back WEAPON: Physique Spatial Awareness Reflex Metavision Flow State Oliver Aiku is the former captain and center-back of the Japan U-20 team. He currently plays as a center-back for Italy's Ubers during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Aiku is a very tall, muscular man with shaggy purple hair with green ends and light facial hair. As a young boy, Aiku was a relatively big player and, as he got older, he got bulkier. His facial structure stayed the same, just becoming sharper and more refined as he grew facial hair. Aiku is heterochromatic and his eyes are different colours, with his left eye being green and his right eye being purple.
Personality: When Aiku was young he wanted to become the best striker in the world but his coach and other adults tainted his dream with the philosophy of "playing for others". He lost the will to become the best striker in the world in time but decided wholeheartedly to become the best defender in the world to spite all the adults and coaches that told him to play for others and refused to help him pursue his own goals. He promised himself though that if a "true striker" ever appears, struggling to bloom in Japan, he will do whatever it takes for them to shine and prevent them from being tainted like he was. Aiku has been shown to be a womanizer when he invited two girls to karaoke on a date when they did not know about each other. They slapped him and left because of his rudeness assuming they would want to share him but he seems to not be too worried about women. Aiku lives up to his title as captain as he is the defender and peacekeeper of the Japan U-20 team and its players as seen when he stops Ryusei Shido from harming their Ace and also keeping their Ace and other members in check with his charisma. Despite his seemingly jovial and friendly manner, Aiku changes dramatically when on the field, becoming a dangerous and highly skilled threat. Aiku can be a bit reckless for he unnecessarily bet the fate of him and his team for a chance to beat the Blue Lock Eleven properly and prove something to himself. When the first half of the Japan National Representative is over, Aiku apologizes to his team for his recklessness and decides to play their trump card to prevent them from losing. Aiku also can be quite blunt; at halftime during the Japan National Representative match he states that he wanted to see how strong the team was, and tells the team that they're "weak" compared to the talented players at Blue Lock. Aiku is not above showing his respect for those who have impressed him as he constantly commented on Blue Lock's ability during the U-20 match and when he congratulated and shook Yoichi Isagi's hand at the end of the match for beating him and scoring an incredible goal. After the game, he seems to have no hard feelings but keeps his competitive nature.
Abilities Archetype Libero: The libero (Italian for "free") or sweeper is a more versatile type of defender that sweeps up the ball if the opponent manages to break the defensive line. Their position is rather more fluid than other defenders who mark their designated opponents. Sweepers are usually faster than that of the other players on the team, and are built slightly smaller than the others. The sweeper's ability to read the game is even more vital than for a center-back; they also are usually confident on the ball and possess good passing and vision as they are often responsible for starting plays from the backline. The key to the Japan U-20's defense is Aiku being more versatile than the other defenders and being able to sweep up the ball or shut down the opposing offense altogether with his iron clad defense. Skills Professional Football Technique: Aiku is considered to be one of Japan's brightest talents, being the captain of the U-20, as well as already having an offer to play for an unspecified Italian professional club, in the Series A. A testament to his professional technique is the fact that he went from being a respected center-forward to a talented defender almost seamlessly. The entire U-20 team is built with him at its center, being referred to as the 'Diamond Generation'. Aside from the new additions to the U-20 team, he is considered to be it's best player. Dominant Physicality: Aiku also has an incredible physique which enables him to perform high level plays without issue. His strength was first demonstrated when he physically subdued Ryusei, a notoriously powerful player, without any issue. His strength is also demonstrated in his jumping ability, being able to reach great heights to intercept the ball. In addition to this, Aiku moves across the pitch with incredible speed, being able to sweep up any loose balls and cover defensive holes left by his team, as well as retreat to the center when needed. Spatial Awareness: Aiku has an incredibly large field of view, being able to take into account the conditions of every player in front of him. Isagi noted that Aiku was not marking him specifically, yet was able to intercept a pass to him, because he was able to adjudge Isagi's speed, as well as the source of the pass and the positions of every player. This wide field of view enables him to detect any threats to the U-20 goal and react instantly predicting any movements or surprise plays. Reflex: On top of his high spatial awareness, Aiku also has the reflex to immediately determine where the greatest threat to the goal is and the physical ability to go there without hesitation. It is the combination of this reflex and spatial awareness that makes Aiku such an effective defender, as he not only sees all positions of every player at once, but he also moves immediately (often ahead of the strikers) to intercept the ball. Total Defense: By combining all three of these weapons, Aiku is able to predict, react to and intercept any ball played into the defensive third, acting as a critical safeguard in the U-20's defensive line up. It is this ability which makes Aiku the cornerstone of the U-20's 'Diamond Generation'. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Aiku managed to enter the Flow state during the match against Blue Lock in response to Baro and Yukimiya's attack. Whereas normally, he reacts to plays as he sees them happening, whilst in Flow, he can see and even feel the critical points in his team's defense, enabling him to move ahead of the game and cover those weak areas. This state also improves Aiku's one-on-one defending, being able to completely shutdown a player's offense by reading their every possibility and shutting down all their options like he did to Rin but when faced with skill that is above his understanding his defense falls flat without help. Metavision: A term used to describe a player's evolved vision that gives them an omnipotent perspective of the field. Using his eyes to constantly take in information from his central and peripheral vision, Aiku constantly collects data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field.
His favorite player is Virgil van Dijk. His favorite season is summer because he gets to see swimsuits. His favorite animal is young bird/chick. Seeing lots of chicks is healing to him. His favorite manga is Chi: Chikyū no Undō ni Tsuite. His hometown is Stockholm, Sweden. His ideal type is someone who doesn't look like they'd be a hassle when breaking up. His favorite food is spicy ramen, specifically Mouko Tanmen Nakamoto Cup Noodles. His father is half-Swedish, half-German. His mother is Japanese.

Shoei "King" Baro is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a center forward for Italy's Ubers during the Neo Egoist League.
Baro is a very selfish and arrogant type of forward whose main goal is to be the star of the field at all times while he strives to become the world's best striker.
Appearance: Baro is a tall young man with red eyes and long black hair that he wears up in a spiky style. When he lets it down, his hair is neck length. Baro also has a muscular build, due to his dedicated training regimen, keeping up his physical fitness.
Personality: In accordance with his perception of himself as "the King", Baro has an imperious personality, seeing himself above others maintaining an arrogant and selfish attitude. Initially, Baro perceived all others on the field as supporting roles, moving for the sake of his own goals, with himself being the main actor on the stage. He is obsessed with pursuing his own soccer but doesn't actually like it or have a passion for it. Baro is motivated by the need to face others who play soccer and to use his goals to drag them off the seat of the main actor and replace them. The pleasure obtained through this is something Baro believes is only for the strong. Baro is the kind of player who refuses to pass the ball and whenever he loses possession, he endeavors to steal the ball back or steal a goal. After his symbolic loss to Isagi, where he felt he lost his position as the main actor, Baro adopted a more villainous approach to his own philosophy. He is now willing to adopt a "villain" role if it means stealing back that position. Despite this new wicked take, Baro also matured after that match, being willing to admit when he was beaten and asking Isagi about the soccer he wants to play. Baro was visibly upset when he did not make the Blue Lock Eleven lineup, despite Isagi doing so, and has since been focused and biding his time to play. When Baro is finally subbed in to play the Japan U-20 he still has his overly critical and rude demeanor. In keeping with his obsessive personality, Baro is a perfectionist when it comes to controlling his environment and routine. He keeps constant order in his surroundings, cleaning and organizing his living space within Blue Lock and getting angry at those who don't. This also extends to the bath area and controlling how people behave within it. Baro's obsession also extends to his training, where he is diligent and stoic. He always performs an extensive routine of physical fitness training to maintain his strength.
Abilities Archetype Complete Forward: Complete Forwards are strikers with great technical ability, clinical finishing, and physical strength, enabling them to fulfill multiple roles. They can link up with and play in others, fashion chances for themselves, finish off team moves and hold up the ball. These players are often best given the freedom to play as they wish, without rigid tactical instruction, as their versatility allows them to be fluid on the pitch. Baro's physique enables him to hold up the ball and physically contest other players, his charging ability allows him to dribble and create chances for himself, and his shooting and villainous style enable him to finish off team moves, by devouring his teammates. Baro has one of the best physiques in Blue Lock, as well as having one of the best techniques at his age in Japan, as stated by Anri Teieri. Often Baro is given the freedom to play and devour who he wishes on the field, as shown during the Second Selection, as well as by Ego telling Baro to disregard the team's plan and focus on devouring Isagi against the Japan U-20. It is stated by Snuffy that Baro's specs make him the best striker type player in Blue Lock and most likely in the whole Neo Egoist League. Skills Charging Skill: Baro has the ability to create the space for his own shots by charging through an opponent's defense and into a range for his middle shot. He has multiple attributes and techniques which contribute to his overall charging ability. Baro was able to charge through two of the Iron Wall Quartet, while holding them back, to steal a goal. Superior Physicality: Baro is one of the handful of forwards in Blue Lock who has a strong and muscular physique, and he uses this to his advantage when driving the ball down the field or marking players to defend. On top of that, his endurance is also particularly good, as seen in the Ubers VS Bastard München match, where Baro, after he scored the second equalizer, charged everyone and went up and down on the field at an insane rate. Baro's physique, as noted by Isagi, is incredible, maintained by a diligent and extensive workout routine that Baro performs before practice. This enables him to leverage his physicality against opposing players to create the space he needs, even managing to charge through a pile-up of players with the ball at his feet. Heel Flick: Baro overcomes the opponent's defense by flicking the ball up and over them and recovering the ball on its landing, demonstrating strong technical ability. Nutmeg: Baro has demonstrated the ability to nutmeg at least two players in quick succession in order to get through their defense. Middle Shot: Baro's main method of scoring is his powerful and accurate shot, from a position near the middle of the goal. Baro can target the top right corner with incredible reliability, being almost guaranteed to score within a specific area of the goal (29 meters, near the middle). When outside of this specific area, however, Baro's accuracy can decrease sharply. He has performed this shot directly from kick-off, although it was saved. He has also shown that he can change the aim of the shot, to the top left corner, but this again suffers from a decrease in accuracy. And finally, he performed this shot when he was too far to the side of his range, and it hit the post. During the Neo Egoist League, it is shown that Baro has not only increased the range of his shot but is now able to curve it more. Stealth Kill Shot: While training with Ubers during the Neo Egoist League, Marc Snuffy points out to Baro that while his middle shot is powerful and accurate, if a goalie can see it coming then it will be hard for Baro to make the shot regardless of how talented he is. To improve, Baro trained his ability to shoot the ball in a crowded space and using his team as a wall to cloud the goalie's view and wait for the moment where the goalie is most confused he is able to take a powerful and accurate curved shot that is so fast and close it is impossible to react to even if the goalie does see it. Baro used this to score Uber's first goal against Bastard München. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Villainous Soccer: A selfish and unpredictable playing style, which involves Baro "devouring" his own teammates for the sake of his own goal. On the field, Baro will look to where he can steal the ball from his teammates, to capitalize on their positioning and devour them. He can also take this a step further, by observing the way his team evolves their plays and interrupting that process, which he did to score a goal in the U-20 match. Baro developed this playing style when he was forced to go to a new level, at the prospect of Isagi stealing his spotlight. This style makes Baro a complete irregularity on the field, making it impossible for even Rin to predict his movements. In fact, the more knowledgeable the opponent is about football, the more likely they are to be overcome by this ability, as it circumvents all conventional wisdom of the sport. Chop Feint: A feint wherein which a player uses their off foot to shield the ball, whilst knocking the ball in the other direction with their other foot, effectively misdirecting the opposing player. Baro frequently uses this skill to supplement his charging ability, enabling him to keep his opponent's guessing as to which direction he is going to dribble. Lightning Dribble: By making use of chop feints, continuous rebounds, and angled dribbles, Baro is able to perform a mazy dribble that is incredibly difficult to stop. Baro has also demonstrated the ability to use other players as screens, to get past opponents, a testament to the 'villainous' football he adopted. Sliding Shot: By maneuvering into a position where he can intercept a pass, Baro uses his physical strength to exploit the pass and perform a shot at the same time, supporting himself on one knee. He was able to score whilst holding off both Miroku Darai and Kazuma Nio. Predator Eye: Described as a complete opposite of Metavision, instead of expanding his vision, Baro drastically narrows it down and focuses solely on the goal keeper and waits patiently for the opponent to drop his guard and score a goal.

GENDER: Male AGE: 18 BIRTHDAY: July 7 HEIGHT: 185 cm (6'1") BLOOD TYPE: AB HAIR COLOR: Blond and pink EYE COLOR: Pink neon OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Paris X Gen POSITION: Forward WEAPON: Physique Spatial Awareness Reflex Drive Shot Flow State
Ryusei Shido is a contender of the Blue Lock, who currently plays as a center forward for France's Paris X Gen.
Shido, unlike most forwards, has no concrete dream of becoming the world's best striker. He instead seeks to enjoy life to the fullest by playing football.
Out of the original 300 forwards chosen to be a part of the Blue Lock Project, Shido is an ideal candidate for the type of striker Ego strives to create. After the match against the Japan U-20 team, Shido ranked as one of the top players in Blue Lock.
Appearance: Shido is a tall, tanned young man with spiky blond hair with fading pink at the tips, having two strands falling on both sides of his face. He has pink colored irises with white silted pupils in them like a cat, and he is of similar height and body building to Rin Itoshi. He is very expressive and is often seen with a joker-like grin or smirk.
Personality: Shido is an eccentric player in Blue Lock who has a strong penchant for violence or, more specifically, physical altercations. At the core of Shido's personality is a drive to play football because it is a biological phenomenon that makes him feel complete. Shido scores goals to pass on his genes and leave his mark on the world; it is his sole focus. He gets excited from playing high level football with other high-level players and is bored if people cannot make him "explode" or don't "explode" themselves. He can be considered a polar opposite of Rin Itoshi, being completely self-sufficient and instinctive in his football. A noticeable trait of Shido's has been his propensity for violence to get what he wants, often being unwilling to work with most people (if anybody at all). He seems completely aware and content with the toxicity of his behavior and only feels slight remorse once he is electrocuted and locked up for being overly aggressive and threatening serious bodily injury onto others. He seems to get over such feelings when he is released from his behavioral captivity by Sae Itoshi who asks him to join him in playing high level football and is cleared to act however he wants as long as it's for Sae's sake. When released from Blue Lock under Sae's supervision he seems to be even more openly violent and causes frequent quarrels with the Japan U-20 team's ace player Shuto Sendo, who initially doesn't respect Sae. Shido can be openly friendly and even affectionate towards others such as Sae Itoshi who gave him the opportunity to play with him and evolved his level of play in the process, showing him a type of football he has never experienced before. Shido can also be overtly and unnecessarily sexual at times and though he is prone to violence, he also learns how to control his violent rampages in exchange for playing high level football longer. Shido is able and willing to acknowledge other people's skills, praising Isagi for making the "best play" of the first game of the Third Selection (when Rin wouldn't) despite Isagi stealing a goal from him. By the time of the Neo Egoist League, Shido is able to control his anger and violence enough to share the field with his most hated rival, Rin Itoshi.
Shido, with his sharp reflex and monster instinct, has an uncanny ability to position himself at a critical point in the penalty box and score goals that most players wouldn't even think to attempt. His self-sufficient play style revolves around him positioning himself perfectly towards the goal as he waits for the ball and scores goals. Shido also has tendencies to take shots in midair and can even do so without looking, a testament to his skill as a poacher. He is an expert at producing monstrous goals from inadequate positions. Skills Superior Football Technique: Shido is one of two players in Blue Lock who have top tier stats, along with Rin Itoshi. During the Third Selection, he scored an average 2 goals a game, the highest of any player besides Rin. His physical dominance, ball control, power, and kick accuracy are only rivalled by a handful of players. Though Rin can be described similarly, what separates the two is Shido's confidence in scoring goals alone, even causing a physical altercation if his experience of the game is hampered in any way, whilst Rin combines with his environment to score. Shido's skill and ego are so advanced that he was recognized by Sae, a genius of the professional world, and asked to join him on the Japan U-20 team. With Sae's guidance, Shido is able to evolve his level of play to new heights, scoring outrageous goals and forming a deadly duo that the Blue Lock Eleven struggled to deal with. Dominant Physicality: Shido is physically one of the strongest and most dominant players in Blue Lock. His physical strength alone was enough to make Gurimu Igarashi feel like his skull was getting crushed. For a more objective demonstration, Shidou was able to kick back Rensuke Kunigami, himself a physically imposing player. Shido is able leverage his superior physical ability over opponents (such as the more technique-focused Reo Mikage) and break past them in an off the ball fight. He does this in a variety of ways, using his body and his opponent's to create momentum to break past them, or even jumping over them altogether. Aggressive Dribble: Shido uses his physical strength to move across the field erratically, either with the ball at his feet or without it. These movements can confuse even his teammates, along with his opponents. Extreme Spatial Awareness: Shido's main ability is his extreme spatial perception. As opposed to other types of spatial awareness that take into account player's positions and weapons, Shido's spatial awareness is geared towards the goal at all times. This is the key to his perfect scoring ability within the penalty area, since Shido is able to "see" the goal whenever he is in the penalty area, even without physically facing it. In addition to this, when he is in Flow, Shido is able to perceive he location of the goal even outside the range of the penalty area. Reflexivity: Shido is able to reflexively take into account his position and his opponents to leverage his weapons for an ideal shot. His reflexes and speed grant him the ability to get to any point on the field faster than others could and his natural ability to use all of his body parts optimally allows for him to perform incredible physical feats that are uncommon even to those at Blue Lock. He has shown this multiple times, but most notably when he scored a goal in the Japan U-20 match, instantly reacting to Sae's high-speed pass. It is Shido's unrivaled instincts that make him such a potent scorer in and around the penalty area, establishing him as one of the most dangerous strikers in Blue Lock. Drive Shot: An accurate and powerful shot that is usually used from range, serving as Shido's main method of scoring. Shido is able to perform a drive shot from a multitude of positions, whether it is unfavorable or not. Shido is also able to avoid having to reset his positioning by using his superior physique and immense reflex to make the Drive Shot happen . Bicycle Kick: An acrobatic strike where a player kicks an airborne ball rearward in midair. Bicycle kicks can be used defensively to clear away the ball from the goalmouth or offensively to strike at the opponent's goal in an attempt to score. Shido firstly performs this move in his debut match against Kunigami and Reo and scores an effortless goal on Kunigami, breaking down his defense completely. No-Look Goal: A skill that few strikers in the world can pull off; Shido jumps for the ball while turned away from goal and instinctively takes a shot without looking. This shot is incredibly fast and unpredictable, making it hard to react to. Reverse Spinning Drive Shot: When receiving the ball with his back to goal, Shido backs into an opponent and uses his physical strength to hold them in place, using their body weight to rotate on the spot and rising into an incredibly quick shooting motion. Dragon Drive: A shot made possible when combining his extreme reflexes with Sae's. While running at top speed, Shido leaps around an opposing defender and executes a jumping volley while using his signature kick, the Drive Shot. This shot was powerful and fast enough to score from outside the penalty area with little reaction from the other players on the field. Dragon Drive Heading: A combination of his reflexivity and dominant physicality. Shidou runs to a preferred location and attempts to headbutt the ball. Given he is moving at top speed and angled correctly, he acts almost like a bullet as he transfers all of his energy to the ball, allowing it to fly at incredibly fast speed. Shidou is able to apply so much power to this headbutt that not even Gin Gagamaru was able to stop it. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Shido entered Flow in the middle of the Japan U-20 match, being inspired by the passes he received from Sae and being pressured by the Blue Lock Eleven defense. This led to him pushing his physical and perceptive abilities to their extremes, allowing him to score a super goal. Big Bang Drive: When he enters Flow, Shido is able to push his spatial awareness past its limit, 'feeling' the location of the goal and performing a long-range bicycle kick, which lands directly in the goal. He used this to score directly from a clearance without having to reset his positioning in the U-20 match.
His birthplace is Tokyo, Japan. His favorite manga is Chainsaw Man. His favorite soccer player is Zlatan Ibrahimović. His favorite music artist is Hide and his favorite song is Hide - Pink Spider. If he impulsively bought something from a convenience store, it would be a Baby Star ramen. His favorite food is yukhoe. His disliked food is beansprouts. He is the best fighter in the Blue Lock facility. If he received 100 million yen, he would divide them into 100 domino pieces (like into blocks and play them like dominoes). His favorite movie is A Clockwork Orange. His favorite animal is the velociraptor (he finds the way they ate people cute). His favorite subjects are Physical Education and Art. He is apparently ambidextrous. His morning routine consists of: going onto the balcony naked and soaking up the sunlight, dancing however he likes, yell whatever comes to his mind ("stuff like capillaries and flesh rupture!!"). When asked how old he was when he stopped getting presents from Santa, he said: "It's much more fun obtaining presents by yourself instead of receiving them from that red-white-middle-aged-fattie". When asked what was the last thing he asked Santa for, he said: "A world where Santa disappears". If it were his last day on Earth, he would watch it end.

GENDER: Male AGE: 17 BIRTHDAY: September 9 HEIGHT: 186 cm (6'1") BLOOD TYPE: A HAIR COLOR: Dark green EYE COLOR: Bright teal RELATIVES: Sae Itoshi (older brother) OCCUPATION: Student AFFILIATION: Blue Lock TEAM: Paris X Gen POSITION: Forward WEAPON: Kick Accuracy Spatial Awareness Off the Ball Movements Puppet Control Flow State
Rin Itoshi is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a center forward for France's Paris X Gen in the Neo Egoist League.
Rin is the younger brother of Sae Itoshi, who started playing football with him at a young age. He has played as a forward on every team he was on and has always been regarded as one of the top players. He is regarded as Blue Lock's best player until he is officially confirmed to be by Jinpachi Ego at the beginning of the Third Selection.
Rin's main goal is to become the world's best striker. He used to be fixated on defeating his brother in football and in turn, getting revenge for abandoning their shared dream, but after the Blue Lock Eleven played against the Japan U-20 he let go of his revenge and decided to change so that he may become the world's best striker, defeating anybody in his path. Rin is an ideal candidate for the type of striker Ego strives to create.
Appearance: Rin is a tall teenager with a slim but powerful build. He is noticeably taller than Yoichi Isagi who is a year older than him. He has dark green hair with a bang going across his face more in his right eye than left eye, slim teal eyes, and distinct eyelashes that he shares with his brother Sae Itoshi. As a young boy, Rin looks largely the same, his facial features just become more distinct as he gets older.
Personality: As a young boy, Rin was very innocent and in awe of his brother, Sae, wanting nothing more than to become a cool and strong player like him. He started playing football because his brother told him to, following his orders without question. As they played football together, Rin listened to whatever Sae said and adjusted accordingly. When Sae left for Spain, Rin found football was more difficult without his brother but strived to become just like him and replace him. This is where Rin's core style of play would begin to shift from his instinctive style to a more logical style. Initially, he was a good team player and captain for his middle school team, appearing to be on good terms with some of his teammates. However, due to his fallout with his brother, he has become cold, blunt, and overly serious. He is entirely focused on soccer, to an almost obsessive degree and is also very egoistic, as he is always putting his goals first over everybody and their motivations. Rin has a lot of pride as a striker, which borders on arrogance, since he frequently describes other people's soccer and way of thinking as "lukewarm" or "mediocre". These mannerisms and behaviors came from his brother; in an attempt to be like his brother, Rin copies his words and embodies his mindset. Rin seems to respect almost nobody. He will only acknowledge your presence if you have a noticeable and annoying ability/influence on the soccer field. He seems to have no friends, only rivals (with only Isagi and Bachira seemingly being on generally even terms with him). By the time of the Japan National Representative match, he is more noticeably talkative with the team, giving instruction on the pitch and conversing with Isagi specifically. Rin commits to a routine of aftercare at the end of each and every day, to improve his physique, and he is often found in the training room doing drills or weights. Despite his arrogance and aloofness, Rin truly lives and breathes soccer, dedicating every waking moment to improving himself. This mentality combined with his personality is what makes him the top candidate for Blue Lock's supposed best striker. Everything Rin does is to enable him to beat his older brother and end the rivalry, but after Rin moves past his revenge against his brother and his rivalry with teammates, he reaches a clarity in his decisions. He now aims to free himself from anything that ties him down and establish his own identity as an egoist without relying on his brother, teammates or rivals.
Abilities Archetype Playmaker: A player who controls the flow of the team's offensive play, and is often involved in passing moves which lead to goals, through their vision, technique, ball control, creativity, and passing ability. When he was younger, Rin was an instinctual player but being trained and guided by his brother made him develop a notably logical and predictive style of playing. Whether on offense or defense, Rin's playstyle consists of him grasping the abilities of both his teammates and his opponents and forcing out their best plays and abilities, manipulating them in his efforts to score goals for himself. With every play he makes, Rin aims to crush his opponent quickly and efficiently, destroying them "hideously". Skills Superior Football Technique: Rin is one of two players in Blue Lock who has top tier stats, along with Ryusei Shido. During the Third Selection, he scored an average 2.5 goals a game, which was the highest among the Top 6. His spatial awareness, ball control, power, and kick accuracy are only rivaled by a handful of players. Though Shido can be described similarly, the thing that makes Rin the best in Blue Lock is his willingness to cooperate with and create chemical reactions with his teammates, while Shido scores goals completely independently. Rin's experience and techniques are advanced enough that he is able to play the role of captain, act as the focal point for an offense, play in defense and even overcome high-level defenders, using their own strengths against them. Perfect Kick Accuracy: Rin's primary weapon is his highly accurate kick. His shooting/passing accuracy is near perfect, as demonstrated when he kicked two balls in such a way that they travelled different trajectories, yet still hit each other in midair. Rin's kicks are so accurate that he is able to score from long distance; Isagi implied that he could potentially score from anywhere below 35 meters, free kicks and even directly from corner kicks. Even when being physically pressured by players like Ryusei Shido or Tabito Karasu, he is able to make a pinpoint shot. Oliver Aiku notes that his shot power and accuracy decrease when he uses his left foot, but in most conditions where Rin can get off a shot, it is on target. Rin needs space and range to set up his shooting pattern, the denial of which can result in his shot being off. However, he uses his other weapons to find himself with plenty of both, making him one of the top scorers in Blue Lock. Pinpoint High Speed Free Kick: Rin fires a blazing fast free kick with incredible accuracy. This free kick was so fast and accurate that it went right over Isagi's head without giving him a chance to react. Vertical Spinning Direct Shot: A direct shot from the corner spot, which targets the furthest top corner of the goal. This shot can take players off-guard if they do not expect it, though it can be prevented through positioning. Line Drive Shot: Rin attempted to replicate his brother's shot by dribbling to the byline and using his left foot to fire the ball over the goalkeeper and into the far side netting. However, the decrease in shot power and accuracy meant his shot was saved and hit the post. Jump Shot: After feinting to circumvent an opponent's defense, Rin lifts the ball and performs a jumping roundhouse kick. With this technique, Rin is able to both shoot with frightening accuracy and evade a challenge from an opponent. Blind Shot: Rin takes advantage of the movements of another player to shield the ball from the keeper's vision before firing a blind shot that the keeper cannot react to in time. Trivela (Shot): A technique wherein which one puts spin on the ball using the outside of their foot. Rin hides his form, to force the assumption that he will shoot with his left foot, before shooting with his right. Rin is able to do this and score from outside the penalty area, as demonstrated against the Japan U-20. Spinning Midrange Shot: Rin shoots the ball from mid-range, with a large amount of spin, so that it bounces into the goal. Trivela (Pass): A technique wherein which one puts spin on the ball using the outside of their foot. Rin can use this technique to pass the ball, manipulating the opponent into thinking his pass has missed, only for it spin back to its destination. Oppressive Pass: Rin makes a difficult pass to his teammate in order to continue a play. He will usually play this pass into the optimal space for his teammate to retrieve it and return the pass (in the case of Aryu) or into the space where he expects his teammate to breakthrough (in the case of Bachira). This pass, as opposed to a more creative one, challenges the limitations of Rin's team, forcing them to rise to meet his expectations. Spatial Awareness: Rin analyzes the entire field, including the positions of himself, his teammates and his opponents, in order to determine the best play. Rin's tactical ability and spatial awareness are at such a level that only Isagi can understand, counter, and rival his analytical ability. Rin is routinely able to predict the positioning and movements of other players, including Isagi, setting up traps and baits to lure them into unfavorable positions, intercepting their plays and setting up his own. Spacing: By reading the weapon of his opponent, as well as the positions of other players on the field, Rin spaces himself in such a way as to allow for him to predict and respond to whatever they decide to do. Synchronization: Rin is also able to use his spatial awareness defensively; through reading and understanding the core of his opponent's football, he can overlap his thoughts with theirs to predict what they will do next. He used this to halt the combined offense of Sae and Shido during the U-20 match. However, focusing solely on playing defensively makes it difficult for him to join the offense to score his own goals. Off-the-Ball Movements: A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Rin makes use of these movements to position himself in an opponent's blind spot, as well as to maneuver into goal scoring positions. He does this after determining the field of view of the players on the pitch, similar to Isagi. Positioning: Rin has incredible positioning, constantly moving to areas where he can receive the ball in space and still be able to score a goal. If Rin realizes that he will not receive a pass, he always positions himself in a place where he would be able to score if he should receive the ball by chance. He demonstrated this positioning during the Second Selection, as well as during the U-20 match. Rin also uses this defensively in combination with his spatial awareness. After using his spacing, Rin gives himself enough room to predict where the opponent will likely break through, then uses his positioning to intercept them. Super-Speed Interlock: By using the movements of another player as a precursor, Rin moves into a position where he can meet a quick cross in an open space. He used this in conjunction with Bachira to score against the Team World Five. Dribbling: Rin has demonstrated the ability to move the ball at high-speed and with great control, in order to advance past either one player or multiple. Whilst Rin is not a specialised dribbler, he has a well-rounded style that involves utilising feints, hand blocks, technique and physicality at a high-level. Feints: Rin often combines feints with his dribbling, baiting opponent's into a specific action, before evading their challenge. By positioning himself at a range where he can shoot, Rin manipulates his opponent into thinking he will shoot. This draws in the opponent to attempt a block, before he feints in order to bypass them. Rin can also use this in reverse. By changing his form and hiding his motion he fools his opponent into thinking he won't shoot before he does. Marseille Turn: After manipulating his opponent into thinking he will perform a regular feint, Rin transitions into a roulette to get around their defense. Elastico Nutmeg: Rin knocks the ball sideways with the outside of his foot in order to force a challenge from his opponent, before using the inside of his foot to push the ball between their legs and get past them. He used this to get past Sendo. Occlusion Break: Rin navigates through multiple players in succession, breaking their formation, using quick touches and hand blocks. It was noted by Ness that this required high-level touch, speed, technique and reading. Puppet-Controlling Soccer: Rin's main play style is about controlling and manipulating what his opponent thinks. After identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each player on the field, Rin uses his superior technique, tactical and physical ability to manipulate them into scenarios that will result in a goal. He can do this by using his own abilities against the opponent, or by combining his strengths with his team's. This style of soccer, pushes his team's abilities to their limits and beyond, resulting in highly complex and effective passages of play that often result in a goal. Flow State: Flow, as described by Ego, is the state of "total immersion" or "being in the zone". It is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Rin finally reached Flow in the final minutes of the Japan U20 match. Rin's style of football usually revolves around precisely calculating the weapons of the players on the field and drawing them out to utilize them, manipulating the field for the best way to score. However, when in Flow, rather than bringing out other player's weapons to efficiently utilize them, Rin draws out their weapons in order to shut them down. This usually involves Rin baiting them in some way, to use their strongest weapon, before overcoming them directly, while in Flow, Rin is noted to be several levels above his standard abilities. Rin was able to completely defeat Teppei Neru, Miroku Darai and Kazuma Nio in quick succession, using each of their weapons against them. Even Aiku could not stop him alone but when assisted by Shido they were able to pressure Rin. Despite this, Rin was able to kick a powerful curve shot that missed only by a couple of inches. Rin is even able to neutralize Sae's dribbling as seen in the last minute of the U-20 Match, though his most impressive feat was entering Flow during Paris X Gen's game against Manshine City, taking control of the field and directly scoring a "hat-trick" by his lonesome. Opposite Acceleration: When facing someone with speed as their weapon, Rin knocks the ball to the side, in order to bait their acceleration forward, before he suddenly accelerates in the opposite direction, nutmegging them in the process. He used this to get by Neru. Off-the-Ball Movements: When facing someone with off-the-ball movements as their weapon, Rin will cross them multiple times to get in behind, before using his hand to prevent them from turning around to stop him. He used this to get by Darai. Center of Gravity Full Burst: When facing someone with core strength as their weapon, Rin will force a physical pressure duel, knocking the ball up as bait. When they charge in, Rin will shift to stance with a low center of gravity, to break their balance, using their own charge against them. He used this to get by Niou.
He says he doesn't cry. His favorite food is ochazuke, especially ochazuke with bream. His favorite manga are Dragon Head and Ciguatera. His favorite animal is the owl. His favorite movie is "The Shining". His favorite song is Prayer X. He is unfriendly/blunt. He is fluent in English. He spends his holiday either by playing horror video games or immersed himself in horror movies. He is not good at calligraphy. If it were his last day on Earth, he would fight with his brother. He doesn't remember how many Valentine chocolates he got last year because he declined all of them and gave them back. His morning routine consists of: opening the window to let in fresh air, taking a deep breath, stretching, morning yoga, meditation, revisiting his feelings of sadness and rage, and finally starting his day.

GENDER: Male AGE: 18 BIRTHDAY: October 10 HEIGHT: 175 cm (5'9") BLOOD TYPE: A HAIR COLOR: Reddish-Brown EYE COLOR: Green RELATIVES: Rin Itoshi OCCUPATION: Football Player POSITION: Midfielder WEAPON: Perfect Kick Technique Dribbling Reflex Meta Vision
Sae Itoshi is a prodigy football player, who is known as the best player in Japan. Sae is also a member of the New Generation World XI, as well as the Re Al youth team. He is the older brother of Rin Itoshi.
Sae's main goal before the start of the series was to become the best striker in the world, and in turn, the best player in the world, but after leaving Japan and experiencing the professional league in Spain, he changed his dream to becoming the best midfielder in the world after he realized how truly weak Japanese football is.
At the start of the series, he is in Japan only to renew his passport but after happening to hear about the Blue Lock he decides to stay. He later joins the Japan U-20 to face off against the Blue Lock Eleven in the Japan U-20 match. After the Japan U-20 match concluded his current status and whereabouts are unknown.
Appearance: Sae is an average-sized but lean built young man with reddish brown hair and slim teal eyes that are framed by an array of long underlashes just like his brother, Rin.
Personality: Since a young age, Sae has been cold, blunt, and very serious. He has only ever cared about becoming the best striker in the world and has only had time for things that get him closer to his goal. Sae can also be arrogant and condescending looking down on others even if they are older than him and have more organizational authority. He is egotistical in his football play but has shown to be able to restrain himself and play his position, not trying to outshine others unnecessarily. Sae has a lot of pride as a football player, looking down on Japanese football and all who participate in it. Sae states he much rather die or play in Europe with a bunch of college students than play in the J-League or play on the Japan National Team. He is very confident in his skills and wholeheartedly believes that nobody in Japan is worthy of his skills as a teammate. He dislikes the fact that he was born in Japan, saying things like he was simply born in the wrong country. Sae seems to easily command respect in a room from most people due to his reputation and skill even with his bad attitude and candid way of speaking and is able to handle and entice rowdy and tough people into listening to him or doing things his way. Though Sae is a difficult person, he is not impossible to work with, especially if he is getting something out of it. He, out of pure interest, decides to stay in Japan on a whim after hearing about the Blue Lock Project and even joins the Japan U-20 for the match against the Blue Lock Eleven. But when his interest is satisfied he has no problem abandoning those he deems unworthy of his time. Even though Sae exhibits arrogance, he does not mind staying in his role, as midfielder and key passer. During the Japan National Representative match, Sae gave the Japan U-20 forwards every opportunity to score and only after repeated failures does he decide to score himself. After the game between Japan U-20 and Blue Lock Eleven, Sae is not above admitting when he is wrong as he tells Rin that he was wrong about Japan; they are capable of creating good strikers and that their football can still change.
Abilities Archetype Playmaker: A player who controls the flow of the team's offensive play, and is often involved in passing moves which lead to goals, through their vision, technique, ball control, creativity, and passing ability. Sae has been described as having a cold and calculating play style. He creates constant ideal plays for his team using his passing and dribbling, essentially controlling the offense and fills in any gaps the defense may have by going to the most critical point using his vision. With every play he makes, Sae aims to crush his opponent quickly and efficiently, destroying them "beautifully". Skills Professional Football Technique: Sae is regarded as a genius player in the professional world of football. He plays football in Europe and is considered to be on the level of a pro but has not gone fully pro only because of the age requirements in Spain, at the start of the series. He is regarded as the best player in Japan and can easily fill a stadium with his name alone due to his immense reputation. Even high level players like Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shido are a league below him. His skills are some of the most impressive amongst U-20 players in the world, placing him in the New Generation World XI. Perfect Kick Technique: Sae has the ability to control the intensity, angle, speed, and accuracy of his kicks to an extreme level at any given point in time. Not only is he able to consistently perform complex passes using his superior footwork and technique but added with his level of skill he is able to perfectly manipulate the ball to the point his passes are easy to receive but hard to intercept or block. Long Driven Pass: A long pass, usually 40-50 meters long, that gives the ball enough height and power to avoid interception. Lob Pass: Also known as a Chip, is a shot in which the ball is kicked from underneath with accuracy but with less than maximum force, to launch it high into the air in order to pass it over the heads of opponents. Line Drive Shot: Sae is able to score with a powerful drive shot, taken from the byline and aimed at the other side of the goal. This is a shot that defies the expectations of anyone in the box anticipating a pass and can catch the goalkeeper off-guard. Trivela (Pass): A technique wherein which one puts spin on the ball using the outside of their foot. Sae is able to make a pinpoint pass using the outside of his left foot in an instantaneous motion with his reflex. Sae is also able to use this pass with his weaker right foot, to still make a pinpoint pass. Ultra-Fast Pass: From a set piece, Sae is able to make an incredibly fast pass that borders on being a shot. By using his reflex, he takes all conditions into account in order to pass to a place that the opponent cannot reach, as if threading a needle. Counter-dribbling: Sae's dribbling is "passive" in comparison with the more proactive dribbling of Bachira and Yukimiya. Rather than actively moving past defenders, Sae will observe the defender's rhythm and motions before flowing past them in a counter. Sae's dribbling is the best shown so far, being able to effortlessly blow past the likes of Isagi and Bachira within one fluid movement. He is also shown to be able to overcome his brother Rin with relative ease, nutmegging him in each of their engagements. Rin noted that the tempo of each of his touches when he dribbles is incredibly fast, bolstered by his experience in Europe. Sae will often prioritize passing to progress the ball up the field, but when he wishes to play seriously, he changes his style to breaking through by himself with his dribbling, drastically increasing his options. When Sae gets serious, his dribbling is good enough to overcome the Blue Lock Eleven's entire formation without any assistance. Hyperspeed Scissors: Sae performs a scissor feint at incredible speed, making it hard to follow. Double Touch: Sae knocks the ball from one foot to the other before using the second foot to knock the ball past his opponent and break past. He performed this move at an incredibly fast tempo, leaving Rin little time to react. Marseille Turn: Sae stops the ball with the outside of his foot, shielding the ball from his opponent, before performing a roulette to turn past them. Nutmeg: Sae dribbles the ball through the legs of a defender effectively getting past their defense with little effort. Cross Elastico Nutmeg: Sae performs an elastico but by crossing the ball behind his dominant leg before knocking it between his opponent's legs using his non-dominant foot. He first performed this move on his brother Rin when he returned from Spain, but has also performed this move on Rin during the Japan National Representative Match. Elastico Nutmeg: Sae performs a regular elastico to nutmeg a defender and go past them. He did this to Isagi when breaking through the midfield during the Japan National Representative Match. Rabona Nutmeg: A technique where a player kicks the ball, with their kicking leg crossed behind their standing leg. Sae can use this technique to play the ball between an opponent's legs, before passing them, as he demonstrated against Yukimiya. Shoulder Block: By using his shoulder to block off his opponent, Sae reverses his center of gravity to avoid their tackle. Reflex: With his incredible reflexes, Sae is able to take into account all the conditions of the field and make decisive plays to get the ball down the field and in the hands of the forwards in the best way possible. Sae will determine who has the most "heat" towards the goal and play the ball to them, meaning he has no bias towards particular strikers. This incredible reflex makes Sae hard to read and stop, as he makes split-second judgements to constantly move the ball and change positions. It is this reflex which enables Sae to operate on the same wavelength as Shido and exploit his abilities to their full potential. Metavision: With his pristine and trained vision, Sae is able to constantly collect data on every player, every play they make, and their positions on the field and after analyzing that data is able to react to their movements instantly and without even being noticed arriving at the most critical point of their plays effectively shutting their attack down or bypassing their defense with ease.
He dislikes Japanese football and all who participate in it. He turned 18 after the Second Selection. His favorite TV show is "Chibi Maruko-chan". He says it reminds him of home. He thinks his weakness is that he doesn't know anything besides football. His disliked food is French fries. He sleeps for 8 hours a day (7 hours + 1 hour nap). He has a butt fetish (he believes an athlete's skill can be determined by looking at it). When asked what he would do with 100 million yen, he replied that he "wasn't interested in such a small amount of money". His morning routine consists of: opening the window to let in fresh air, taking a deep breath, morning yoga, meditation, drinking salted kombucha, and starting his day. He spends his holidays looking at the sea. His favorite animal is seagull. His favorite season is the end of summer. His favorite movie is Taxi Driver. If it were his last day on Earth, he would make the world's best pass to the world's best striker.

Tabito Karasu is a contender of Blue Lock, who currently plays as a center midfielder for France's Paris X Gen during the Neo Egoist League.
Appearance: Karasu is a tall and lean young man with dark blue hair with a spiky purple top and has a mole under his left eye. He also has blue eyes. His appearance is supposed to somewhat resemble a crow.
Personality: Karasu tends to look down on people he find 'mediocre'. He is wary of his surroundings and is able to control and produce chemical reactions with those around him. He is intelligent, but has a sharp tongue and never misses a chance to insult someone, whether friend or foe. He has his own rules that he forces upon others to make matches go as planned. He dislikes it when anything goes wrong even if it doesn't make a big difference so it looks to others like he is always complaining. During the U-20 match, Karasu showed his leadership ability on defense, often communicating with the other defensive players to strategize against the quickly incoming U-20 players. He commands players like Yo Hiori and Kenyu Yukimiya in terms of attacking and defending, even if the players are aware of what to do. He also is willing to use every advantage at his disposal, shown when he asked the referee to card Ryusei Shido for happening to kick Rin Itoshi in the face.
Abilities Archetype Midfield General: A central midfield player who absolutely controls the midfield area, directing team play and breaking up the opponent's attacks. They are known for having the biggest influence on their team's overall performances, driving them forward to attack, putting sustained pressure on the opposition and leading by example when the team is defending. Skills Sharp Analytical Ability: Karasu is renowned for his tactical shrewdness, having a reputation for targeting an enemy team's weakest link/player and focusing his plays against them (as stated by Hiori). His analytical ability was at such a level (along with his ball-keeping), that Ego made the decision to position him as the defensive midfielder of the Blue Lock 11 to act as the beating heart of the team, transitioning from defense to offense. Karasu has demonstrated an incredible grasp of tactics, being able to breakdown the U-20's defensive set up and the likely steps they will take to prevent an attack. After doing so, he was able to organize an attack with both Otoya and Chigiri to break through their defense, leading to Blue Lock's second goal. Karasu has also shown good awareness, knowing when to stall in the defense against Sae, giving his team time to organize, as well as when to join the offensive line, providing an extra option. Expert Ball Control: Karasu has the best ball-keeping sense in Blue Lock due to his spatial and tactical awareness and his unique ability to control space with his hands. By gauging the distance between himself and his opponent, Karasu uses his body (and more specifically, his arms) to block them off from the ball, controlling the space and enabling him to either steal the ball from them or dribble past. Feints: Karasu, in conjunction with his ability to control space with his hands, uses devastating feints to his advantage. He typically feigns carelessness with the ball to draw his opponent in before shifting the ball away, as well as shifting the opponent's center of gravity with his hands. Through his expert use of feints and spatial control, Karasu was able to dribble past at least 2 players at once (in Isagi and Shido), as well as maintain possession when pressured by 3 players at once (Isagi, Shido and Nanase).
He is scared of the water. He was in the same youth team as Yo Hiori. He remembers his first crush pretty well: He says he had been eight years old, and her name was Marisa. Karasu also notes he feels like he's mediocre because she was the cutest in class. He has a voice fetish. His favorite type is a smart and strong girl. He prefers bamboo shoots over mushrooms. He was in the same team as Kenyu Yukimiya and Eita Otoya in the Second Selection. His nickname is 'Assassin'. His hometown is in Osaka. His favorite song is Grapevine - Fly. His favorite drink is kelp tea. His favorite animal is the hawk. When taking a bath, he washes his hair first because he uses a lot of hair wax. His favorite TV show is Documental ("HITOSHI MATSUMOTO presents ドキュメンタル") (a comedy show in which ten comics try to make each other laugh). His favorite manga is GANTZ (the Osaka arc). He refuses to tell anyone about the last time he cried. His favorite subjects are Japanese Literature, Chemistry, and World History. His worst subject is Swimming. His hobby is observing, analyzing, and assessing humans. Receiving a surprise present makes him sad because he hates to be forced to feel happy. His weakness is that he can't be nice to people he thinks are mediocre, and knows he needs to fix that. His favorite player is Ruud van Nistelrooy.
