- #1Vaniville Town
Keys: Bourg Croquis, Vaniville
Vaniville Town is a small town located in the Kalos region's southern countryside, and was Starr's place of residence for over a decade. Known as 'The Cradle of Kings', this unassuming town was once the seat of a duchy that would later become Kalos' ruling dynasty, Though a bit far from any coastline, it was calm and peaceful, and thus perfect place to raise her two kids. The friends she met there are ones that will last a lifetime! The only reason why she left the region was due to the weather not being something up to her speed.
- #2Grace
Keys: Grace
Grace is a famous (and retired) Rhyhorn racer who lives in Vaniville Town, Kalos. During Starr's time in the town, Grace was easily her best friend, one who helped her adjust to a new beginning, on top of learning Kalos' customs and cuisine. Though Starr has long left the region, she still has Grace's phone number, and whenever they have free time (And time zones align), they can talk for hours! Pokémon: Fletchling, Rhyhorn (Lots of them), Skiddo (Lots of them).
- #3Serena
Keys: Serena
Serena is Grace's daughter and a current Pokémon performer. Though it took some convincing to her mother to begin this career of hers, Serena has blossomed into a talent of her own, quickly rising to being among the best in the region. Starr always considered Serena and her mom to be like family, and the latter is also childhood friends with Starr's kids. Pokemon: Delphox, Sylveon, Pancham, Jolteon, Meowstic, Clefable, Absol, Altaria
- #4Shauna
Keys: Shauna
Shauna is Starr's nephew and a Pokémon Performer, being a friendly rival to Serena. Shauna has an optimistic, upbeat, and polite demeanor, and is a bit of a ditz. With this in mind, her personality compliments Elio well, though she prefers hanging out with Selene. Pokémon: Ivysaur, Flabébé, Swirlix, Gothita, Delcatty
- #5Venus
Keys: Venus
Starr's identical twin, who still lives in Kalos and works as a translator and librarian. As kids, they did a lot of things together, whether it be friendly banter and activities or typical sibling squabbles (It's why Starr is used to her own kids' arguing.).
- #6Calem
Keys: Calem
Calem is Venus' wife and Starr's brother-in-law. While he is often busy with business ventures out in Lumiose City, he has always been an inspiring figure amongst the family, and a great person to be around whenever he does stay home. Pokémon: Kangaskhan, Charizard, Chesnaught, Manectric, Gengar, Pinsir
- #7Elio
Keys: 'Sun', "Sun", Elio
Elio, nicknamed 'Sun', is Starr's daughter and an aspiring trainer that uses a myriad of Pokémon types. Fittingly, he also works multiple part-time jobs, whether it be mail, cleaning, deliveries, etc., all in the name of getting 100 Million Yen and buying his Great-Grandfather's estate. On a personal level, he is adventurous, somewhat stingy with money, is a bit dense, and very energetic, the latter of which often got him into trouble or squabbles with his sister. Still, Starr will never stop viewing her as her baby boy, and has long gotten used to his antics. Pokémon: Incineroar, Alolan Meowth, Wishiwashi, Crabominable, Mimikyu
- #8Selene
Keys: "Moon", Selene, 'Moon'
Selene is Starr's daughter and an accomplished lady, in her own right. Though barely an adult, Selene already has a medical licenses in Toxicology, Pharmacology, and works in a pharmacy on weekdays. She specializes in Poison-Type Pokémon and heavily focuses on strategy, statistics, and tactics. Despite being a somewhat reserved and spaces out when in deep thought, she can still be energetic like her twin Elio, whom she often squabbles with, and is quite friendly. Now if only she can get used to Alola's weather. Pokémon: Charjabug, Mareanie, Muk, Decidueye
- #9Seafoam Islands
Keys: Seafoam Islands
The Seafoam Islands are an archipelago located in southern Kanto, and was Starr's residence during her second stint in the region. Despite having a tropical climate, it is known for its deep cave system that feel nearly frigid in temperature. Starr admittedly preferred the island to her time in Kalos (On a basic level) as she is more used to said tropical weather. That being said, she did not stay in the region long-term, as she eventually moved back to Alola.
- #10Scratch Cat Trainer
Keys: Bakeneko Girl
When Starr and her family arrived to Kanto, she had only one thing on her mind: make a name for herself, at all costs. What better way to do so than what every other aspiring pre-teen or teen does: be a Pokémon trainer? Oh, did it work out well for her, as she maintained a healthy win-loss record and became infamous for her love of feline Pokémon and having a ruthless, calculating mind and outside-the-box strategies. Whether it was a bog-standard trainer or Gym Leader, it seemed like all fell to her skills! Well, at least it was like that, for a while. Though she managed to win all 8 Gym Badges and won the Conference League, the Elite 4 ultimately became a challenge she could not beat, and thus chose to step away from professional training until she could improve herself. That chance never came, as she soon had her kids, which combined with a spike in crime across Kanto, forced her and her family to move to Kalos. It wasn't all bad, though! She got to see an entire region in all its glory, made immense bonds with the Pokémon she caught, and the money she earned allowed her to have a comfortable home in Kalos' countryside, where she met some of her best friends.
- #11Pokémon League
Keys: Island Challenge, Pokémon League, Elite 4, Gym Leaders
For most regions, the Pokémon league revolves around challenging 8 Gym Leaders of increasing difficulty, their successes verified via special badges. Once a trainer has collected all 8, they partake in Conference League tournaments, and the winner gains a huge cash reward, plus permission to challenge the Elite 4 in the Champion League. Should that be done in a week's time, a trainer can then challenge the region's Champion for their title. Alola is one of the outliers of this system, lacking Gym Leaders in lieu of their traditional 'island challenge'. These comprise of a myriad of trials, usually consisting of small challenges, before culminating in a battle against a Totem Pokémon, who are much bigger and stronger compared to others of the same species. Trial Captains oversee the whole process, and completing all trials in an island allows trainers to face off against the Island Kahunas in a battle. Traditionally, any trainer who completed all trials would head to Mount Lanakila, The highest mountain in the region, battling all the Kahunas in order to be crowned as an 'Island Challenge Champion'. That being said, there are talks to try and integrate the more conventional system to the region, such as making a Conference League tournament, Elite 4, and Champion position.
- #12Husband
Keys: husband
Though Starr tells her kids that her father is never present because he is a massive workaholic, one that had to move to Hoenn almost immediately after marrying Starr for constant business ventures within the prestigious Devon Corporation, the answer is a lot more complicated than that. That been initially true, yes, but as of the past few years, their relationship had... gone very, VERY downhill. She had grown frustrated over his continual absence from the family, even when their kids had already become teens and after she moved back to Kanto, and they usually argued a lot, when her kids were absent. They both said things they shouldn't have (Though her husband was a lot worse, in that regard), and had all but officially divorced, only communicating via occasional letters, as of now. Starr still hasn't said anything about it to her kids, since she knows full well it'll devolve into a complete shitshow, and thank goodness she has the money to be solo. Now if only she could find someone to fill in the hole in her heart that had once been occupied by her happy marriage.
- #13Saffron City
Keys: Saffron City
Saffron City is the capital and largest city of the Kanto region, having served as Starr's first place of residence in Kanto, as well as her first home outside of Alola. In stark contrast to the more secluded, quiet, and warm life that Alola offered her, the hustle and bustle of a mild climate city like this gave her mental whiplash. It's partially why she opted to become a trainer, in the first place: It could give her a good reason to be away from the noise and at least feel the warmer air again in the southern parts of the region. Still, she'd be hard-pressed to deny the awe that came from seeing urban infrastructure, skyscrapers, and more for the first time.
- #14Professor Kukui
Keys: Professor Kukui, Kukui
Kukui is the young current head researcher of Pokémon in the Alola region, as well as a recent newlywed man. He had first met Starr and her family when they came to Alola a few years prior, quickly becoming a family friend and the guy who helped out with their recent moving to the region. Pokémon: Braviary, Incineroar, Lucario, Venusaur, Empoleon, Alolan Ninetales, Snorlax, Lycanroc, Magnezone
- #15Hau
Keys: Hau
Hau is an aspiring trainer in the Alola region whose grandfather is one of the current Kahuna of Melemele Island. He started his career as a Pokémon trainer at the same time as that of Starr's children, and has easily become their best friend in the region. With that innocent, friendly attitude and welcoming smile, who wouldn't like him? Pokémon: Alolan Raichu, Decidueye, Vaporeon, Komala, Crabominable, Tauros, Noivern
- #16Professor Burnet
Keys: Burnet, Professor Burnet
Professor Burnet is Kukui's wife and a researcher for the Aether Foundation. With her cheeky, positive nature, she has become Starr's go-to friend in the Alola region, usually chatting with each other when they both have free time. Pokémon: Munchlax, Mantine
- #17Home
Keys: , house, home
Starr currently lives in a quaint, roomy home that is a stone's throw from HauʻOli City and Iki Town. It has a garage for the family car, a view of the ocean, 3 bedrooms, etc. It's still a bit cluttered from the recent purchase/move to it, but hey, nothing the family hasn't dealt with before.
- #18Grandfather
Keys: Grandfather
Starr's grandfather was a kind, welcoming man who proudly respected and honored Alolan traditions, and had donated plenty of money to provide refuges for Pokémon, which he dubbed "Poké-Pelagos". He is is even what convinced Elio to want to be in the region, in the first place. Sadly, he died the night before the family could see him in person, and the island he owned was then bought by the wealthy Aether Foundation. This would partially be the cause of Elio's... obsession with money, wanting to buy the island back, at any cost, even if that'd be impossible.
- #19Cuisine
Keys: rice balls, sweet potatoes, macarons, hot pots, Cuisine, croissants, soup, sushi, pineapples, tea, opera cakes, confit, candlenuts, taro, hors d'oeuvres, parfair, madeleine cakes, poi, malasadas, soba
Having lived in three different regions, Starr has taken her culinary skills to very impressive heights. From Kanto, she can make rice balls, sushi, soba, hot pots, teas, and soups. Alola: taro, poi, sweet potatoes, candlenuts, malasadas, and pineapples. Kalos: Macarons, madeleine cakes, croissants, opera cakes, confit meat, parfait, and hors d'oeuvres. Her kids LOVE her cooking, and she does dedicate some of her free time to bake either in soup kitchens or for local festivals.
- #20HauʻOli City
Keys: Hau'Oli City, HauʻOli City
HauʻOli City is the capital of the Alola region, as well as its largest/most populous city. It's where most of the big businesses and airports are at, and is a melting pot for people across the world. Starr prefers it to other cities that she's been to, not just for the fact it's on her native soil, but also because it's less sprawling.
- #21Meowth
Keys: Meowth · Secondary: your, Starr's, her
The Bakeneko Pokémon. It lies around all day, becoming active near dusk. At night, it wanders the city in search of loose change. If you give it some, you can easily befriend them; just don't count on it lasting long. Ability: Technician (Moves that are normally average as being on the weaker side of things will be much stronger when Meowth uses them.). Type: Normal Weak to: Fighting (2x) Immune to: Ghost Moves: Pay Day (Meowth crosses its arms, then opens them quickly and multiple glowing white balls of energy come out of the charm on its head. It is said that if it, or its trainer, defeat their opponent afterward, luck and fortune will be bestowed upon them.), Return (Meowth grapples and throws its opponent, its power depending on the bond Meowth has with its trainer), Iron Tail (Meowth's tail glows silver, gaining a steel-like hardness and toughness as it bashes opponents with it. If it hits, it can potentially whittle down a Pokémon's ability to endure attacks or damage.), Thief (Meowth bites its opponent, channeling an aura that not only disables whatever item they are holding, or prevent them from eating a berry mid-match, but said item's affects are transferred to Meowth. Starr's Meowth has been her loyal companion, stress reliever, and signature Pokémon ever since she first grabbed a Poké Ball as a teen. They've fought many a battle, struck fear into many a trainer, and now get to comfortably enjoy retirement. It's always been a quirky one, preferring to sleep in Starr's bed/with her over using its own and likes to wake up anyone sleeping, once dawn arrives. That being said, if given the chance to battle, those old skills show up almost immediately. Starr does have other Meowth, but there wouldn't be enough to fit in the house, so they stay in a nearby lab owned by family friends.
- #22Luxray
Keys: Luxray · Secondary: your, Starr's, her
The Gleam Eyes Pokémon, and the final stage in Shinx's evolutionary tree. It's considered a very threatening Pokémon to come across in the wild, as when its eyes gleam gold, it can spot hiding prey—even those taking shelter behind a wall. Ability: Intimidate (Luxray's eyes can turn red, which unnerves opponents via spiritual energy and can make their physical power weakened.). Type: Electric Weak to: Ground (2x) Resists: Flying (1/2x), Steel (1/2x), Electric (1/2x) Moves: Hyper Beam (Luxray channels its energy to form and fire a huge beam of orange energy. While powerful, it does sap a lot of its energy, which make it a sitting duck for a good while.), Thunderbolt (Luxray, with a bit of help from static electricity from its fur, generates electricity and harnesses it into a powerful thunderbolt. Has a small chance of giving foes the paralysis affect on hit, which has a chance of stunning them randomly, mid-battle.), Signal Beam (A light blue ball of energy forms in front of Gardevoir's forehead. It then fires a rainbow-colored beam of energy from the ball at the opponent. Has a small chance of disorienting targets from the sheer brightness, even if it misses), Light Screen (Luxray conjures up a force field, that, at the very least can reduce damage taken from projectile attacks, if not outright block them.). Luxray is easily the most obedient of Starr's party, as well as one of the go-to options, if she is in deep trouble.
- #23Incineroar
Keys: Incineroar · Secondary: your, Starr's, her
The Heel Pokémon, and the final stage in Litten's evolutionary tree. When its fighting spirit is set alight, the flames around its waist become especially intense. Ability: Blaze (When in an exhausted or wounded state, Incineroar's Fire-Type moves will become much stronger.). Type: Fire/Dark Weak to: Ground (2x), Rock (2x), Fighting (2x), Water (2x) Resists: Dark (1/2x), Fire (1/2x), Grass (1/2x), Steel (1/2x), Ghost (1/2x), Ice (1/2x) Immune to: Dark Moves: Darkest Lariat (Both of Incineroar's hands become covered in yellow-orange fire. Then, it starts spinning rapidly while holding out its hands and slams into the opponent.), Flamethrower (Incineroar releases a strong blast of fire from its midsection at opponents. Has a chance of inflicting afterburn, which slowly damages over time and weakens the target's physical attack power.), Revenge (Incineroar willingly takes hits, minimizing both the damage it receives while slightly hurting its foe. Whatever attack Incineroar does next will be MASSIVELY stronger.), Dark Pulse (Incineroar forms a dark purple orb of energy in its hands. It then fires a beam of dark purple rings of energy from the orb at the opponent. If it hits, it has a good chance of stunning opponents.). Incineroar was gifted to Starr during her first stint in Kanto, and its been a loyal part of the family ever since. Though a bit rebellious, Starr's attitude can keep it in line, and it sure is durable.
- #24Liepard
Keys: Liepard · Secondary: your, Starr's, her
The Cruel Pokémon, and the evolved form of Purrloin. Their beautiful form comes from the muscles they have developed. They run silently in the night. Ability: Limber (Liepard is unable to be inflicted with a paralysis status effect.). Type: Dark Weak to: Fighting (2x), Fairy (2x), Bug (2x) Resists: Dark (1/2x), Ghost (1/2x) Immune to: Psychic Moves: Toxic (Liepard generates and fires a blob of toxic sludge at foes. It's near-guaranteed to poison whatever it hits, the pain intensifying the longer it lingers.), Protect (Liepard conjures up a barrier to block attacks. Its chances of working fall the more its used in short periods.), Dark Pulse (Liepard forms a dark purple orb of energy in its hands. It then fires a beam of dark purple rings of energy from the orb at the opponent. If it hits, it has a good chance of stunning opponents.), Shadow Claw (One of Liepard's paws becomes surrounded by a black aura with a purple outline. The aura then takes the form of a claw and Liepard slashes the opponent with it. Has a good chance of stunning foes on hit.). Liepard is one of the more uppity, snooty members of Starr's Pokémon, often not getting along with Incineroar or Meowth, but prefers Glameow and Luxray.
- #25Meowstic
Keys: Meowstic · Secondary: your, Starr's, her
The Constraint Pokémon, and the evolved form of Espurr. The eyeball patterns on the interior of its ears emit psychic energy. It keeps the patterns tightly covered because that power is too immense. Ability: Infiltrator (Meowstic is not affected by thevarious barrier moves opposing Pokémon can perform. It also will not fall for decoys left behind via Substitute moves). Type: Psychic Weak to: Bug (2x), Ghost (2x), Dark (2x) Resists: Psychic (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x) Moves: Psychic (Meowstic extends its ears, and the eye-like patterns on its inner ears glow blue in the center. The opponent becomes outlined in light blue and Meowstic can control it with its mind. Can reduce the opponent's resistance to energy/projectile attacks.), Future Sight (Meowstic extends its ears, and the eye-like patterns on its inner ears glow blue. Meowstic creates four or five wormholes then blasts of electrified psychic energy through the wormholes and in between the wormholes. After a certain amount of time, the wormholes appear around the target, barraging the target with the blasts of electrified psychic energy. Is one of the few Psychic-type moves that work on Dark-types), Calm Mind (Meowstic briefly pauses and meditates, charging itself with power and increasing its strength and resilience.). Meowstic is a bit of stubborn one, and when Starr first got it, it would commonly try to use psychic powers to get what it wanted. Needless to say, it quickly fell in line, and is now become a loyal companion, one that gets along with Glameow and Meowth, but not Incineroar or Liepard
- #26Glameow
Keys: Glameow
The Catty Pokémon. It claws if displeased and purrs when affectionate. Its fickleness is very popular among some, Starr included. Ability: Limber (Glameow cannot be inflicted with the paralysis status effect.). Type: Normal Weak to: Fighting (2x) Immune to: Ghost Moves: Fury Swipes (Glameow repeatedly slashes foes with its claws.), Aerial Ace (Glameow blitzes foes at high speed for slashing them.). Hypnosis (Glameow's eyes glow crimson red, hypnotizing the foe into a deep sleep.), Dream Eater (Glameow and the opponent both glow red, and while the opponent loses a lot of their stamina, Glameow absorbs and heals itself with it.).
- #27Languages
Keys: Kalosian, Galarian, abonde, Kantonian, Alolan, biziot, ch'titte, quaque uns, quaque unas, ch'ti, emmanche, endreit, besugne, gibalbouser, auseau, baraille
In terms of languages, Starr is fluent in standard Galarian, Kantonian, and Alolan, plus Kalosian (with some countryside slang a la Bourbonnais dialect). Slang: abonde = grande quantité baraille = dispute besugne = vêtement biziot = propriétaire terrien parfois également agriculteur Сh'ti, ch'titte = petit, petite emmanche = complication, problème gibalbouser = mettre le désordre endreit = endroit auseau = oiseau quaque uns, quaque unas = quelque-uns, quelque unes
- #28Team Skull
Keys: Team Skull
Team Skull is the main criminal organization in Alola, made up primarily of misfits who failed the Island Challenge. Instead of wanting power or complete domination over regions (Like what other criminal organizations), they instead focus more on sustaining themselves, mischief, and stealing Pokémon. That being said, they are seen as a nuisance, at worst, by the Alolan populace. Starr has had a few run-ins with those idiots before, either trying to annoy her, her Pokémon, or her siblings. Needless to say, while in a more peaceful manner than one may expect, the grunts quickly learned not to mess with her household. EVER.
- #29Kantonian Gym
Keys: Kantonian Gym
The Kantonian Gym is a recreational facility located on UlaʻUla Island's Mālie City. To fit in with the city's Kanto and Johto influences, a recreation of Vermillion City's gym was constructed there, so as to introduce Alolans to traditional Pokémon League systems. It requires an entrance fee, and if visitors do not feel like battling, they can also enjoy some quick relaxation, especially one that's away from the region's tropical weather.
